"Seasonal Italian white truffles can be added to any dish at chef Luigi Diotaiuti’s Foggy Bottom restaurant. A full portion (14 grams) costs $150 while a small portion (seven grams) is $70. Prior to being served, the truffle is presented in a special container that allows the guest to see and smell it before they’re shaved tableside." - Tierney Plumb

Charming italian place...white table cloth but they seemed ok with us not being dressed up. Host was kind and attentive, server was competent but we felt like a job rather than a customer. Wines were delicious, steak was well seasoned but did arrive rare (I asked for medium rare). It was quickly fixed but refiring a steak makes it a little dry. Lobster pasta was delicious with a wonderful handmade pasta. Flourless almond cake was legit and the port was perfect. This visit is 4 stars because of the server and steak but man, was the rest incredible!

Nice ambience. Friendly service. They unfortunately ran out of gnocchi so our vegetarian options were reduced. They were very nice and made us some penne in marinara. I wish they served regular water as opposed to bottled water though!

I would give 3.5. Fresh ingredients and good service. The preparation of the food was okay, however nothing special therefore felt overpriced. It's probably unfair to compare but Italian dishes in Europe are still better and more balanced in terms of taste.

My wife and I had dinner here at the recommendation of the concierge at the Mandarin Oriental. We thanked him profusely the next morning. We had great experience from start to finish. Awesome menu. High quality food/service at a fair price = great value. The staff was friendly and efficient. We had an early dinner so only a few other tables were full when we arrived and ordered but it was quickly filling up as our dinner proceeded.

The service was extremely prompt, the fish (main course) was incredible. Our server was super attentive and friendly, and yet gave us plenty of space to have conversation. The only dings would he for the lentil soup (didn't really stand out) and the high high price.

The ingredients were of the utmost quality. All the food was amazing. Despite this, the portions were small, however amazing. The staff were nice and pleasant. The service was reasonably quick. Overall a great experience and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants Italian food. 5/12/17
