A 10" Margherita Pizza for $3.75...
In one of THE most expensive zip codes in San Francisco.
Ridic right?!
A tiny chip of paint from one of the nearby mansions probably cost more than than.
You can't even get a shot of artisanal, free-range water for that price. Or, 1/4th an avocado toast at some bougie made for the gram café.
I could go on and on...
After a round of apps in The Marina, decided to hit up apizza that's been sitting on my bookmarks.
apizza is a fast-casual pizza eatery from the owners La Boulangerie. They're open for takeout, delivery, indoor dining, and outdoor dining.
With the mandate lifted, some staff wore masks.

* aburger pie (royale with cheese) w/ roli rôti sous vide hamburger, apizza cheese blend, red onion, lettuce, tomato, cornichons, secret sauce, sesame seeds ($5.95): https://bit.ly/3LUcVz9
*** double meat (+$2)
*** flat (+$.35)
My fav of the two pizzas. The flavors reminded of McD's Big Mac especially with the crisp, shredded iceberg lettuce. Salty, savory, and cheesy with a creamy tang from the thousand island like sauce+cornichons. Eat this folded (or get it folded)!
Not the biggest fan of the crust. Seems like it was overbaked, hard around the edges like crunchy cardboard. But, for the price, you can't expect, nor complain much.
* italian sausage w/ roli rôti sous vide sausage, mozzarella cheese, roasted red peppers, parsley ($5.95): https://bit.ly/3LUcVz9
*** double sausage (+$2)
*** poached egg (+$2.50)
*** flat (+$.35)
Good ratio of ingredients - tangy tomato sauce, stretchy, melty cheese, sausage, and they do NOT skimp on the fresh basil (Delfina once charged me $3 for one extra basil leaf). The sausage was ok, I prefer it with more spices/seasoning. The poached egg had a custardy yolk.
* dirty hipster: vanilla w/ nutella, oreos ($5.25): https://bit.ly/3FleeF4
I really like Loving Cup's brick & mortar locations so I was disappointed in the texture of the froyo here...it was icy and grainy. I did like the crunchy oreos though. For the price, I rather get another pizza.

Hip, bright, and casual. Indoor seating on two levels. Handful of tables in the parklet.

Overall, love the concept of apizza providing wallet-friendly eats in one of the most expensive cities. Even though I don't care for the crust, I can imagine apizza being a weekly staple if I lived in the area. Can't beat the price!
I read that the owners plan on expanding so it would be great to see them open up shop in working class neighborhoods in SF so the locals there have access to the same affordable eats too.
