A small Korean pizza shop suddenly appeared in Manhattan, so photogenic! 🥹 Today, I was shopping in Manhattan with my friends and accidentally found a Korean creative pizza shop with fresh decoration style! 🥰My friend just kept shouting for pizza, so I ran into it. After taking a bite, it was so delicious! 🥹 Its main dish is Korean-style pizza. The two of us ordered a 10-inch double pizza, and chose the [Sausage&Shrimp and Kimchi Bacon] flavor double pizza. I really strongly recommend the Sausage flavor. It was the flavor recommended by the little sister, and the taste is really good! 🍕The edges of its pizza are not hard, and the dough is very crispy and soft! The sauce is delicious, and it is really delicious with the cheese powder and chili powder in the store! You must order their super-handsome PiZZA when you go there! 😍 In addition, we also ordered [KIMCHI OVEN PASTA], which made our taste buds swell just by looking at it. It was so delicious! 🍜This noodle with burning cheese was really finished in one bite! So delicious! Recommended! Their WINGS is also a signature dish! 😋We also ordered a combination of [Crispy and Sweet spicy]. I strongly recommend the Sweet spicy flavor. The one with all the sauces is really delicious! The taste buds swelled as soon as I took a bite, and my saliva went straight into my stomach. It was so delicious! 🥰 In addition, their cocktails and sparkling drinks are not only good-looking but also delicious! I strongly recommend [Princess Peach], which is good-looking and delicious! 🍸The fruity flavor is quite refreshing, and it goes straight to your head after one sip. It is very delicious when paired with pizza! 🤪 We also found that they have made a new move~ They are about to launch a new Croffle! 🧇Various fruity flavors to choose from. The manager gave us pictures, and I was drooling just looking at them! She said that it will be available next month~ I must come and try it next time when there are new products! 🙈

I visited Oppa’s Pizza during their lunch special and was greeted with a complimentary pear juice filled with real pear pulp—a refreshing and thoughtful touch. The restaurant was simple, clean, and empty at the time, which made for a quiet dining atmosphere. I ordered a personal 8” half-and-half pizza, opting for bulgogi on one side and buldak ramyun on the other. The bulgogi half came with tender marinated ribeye, bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms, while the buldak side featured spicy marinated chicken, buldak sauce, and crunchy ramyun noodles. While waiting, I got to see and smell some dishes being served to another guest. They looked and smelled incredible, which really heightened my anticipation. My server, Alex was fast, friendly, and unobtrusive, and the pizza arrived shortly after. It resembled a prettier version of a Pizza Hut pie but tasted much better overall. The toppings were fantastic—flavorful, fresh, and well-executed. The Parmesan-based dipping sauce, in particular, was a showstopper and paired beautifully with the pizza. That said, there were a couple of downsides. The crust was a bit “wet,” which affected the texture, and the pizza was served on a thin sheet of paper. By the middle of my meal, I found myself chewing bits of paper pulp, which was off-putting. Despite these hiccups, I’m eager to return and try more of their menu. Oppa’s Pizza offers a creative and tasty take on pizza with some truly standout flavors—I just hope they improve the plating for a better dining experience!

WOW WOW WOW! My wife and I eat delivery often and this experience standed above them all. From the food quality, the packaging, the delivery time, everything was 10/10. And my favorite part? The customer service from Kelsey! I, as a restaurant general manager for many years, know how hard it is to find great help who care, especially those answering the phone. I called Kelsey a few times for discrepancies on the website and different recommendations, and Kelsey spoke to us with the passion of someone who owned and operated the business herself. So personable, patient, and efficient. Thank you Kelsey and thank you Appa’s Pizza!! You have 2 new big fans.

Oppas Pizza truly stands out with its creative fusion of flavors! I tried the Half & Half Pizza, featuring a Sweet Potato side with luscious sweet potato cubes and a velvety mousse, and a Kimchi Bacon side that perfectly balances the spicy kimchi with rich pork belly. Both halves were a delightful surprise. The appetizers didn’t disappoint either; the Corn Cheese was deliciously creamy, and the Crispy Fries topped with Parmesan Bacon were irresistibly savory. To top it off, the Melona Frappe and Korean Pear Juice were refreshing and paired wonderfully with the meal. Oppas Pizza is the perfect spot for anyone looking to try something new and exciting. The blend of traditional and Korean-inspired flavors makes every bite interesting and satisfying.

Everything was absolutely delicious! I tried the 1/2 and 1/2 pizza with bulgogi and potato, and the potato was my favorite. The wings were incredibly crispy and packed with flavor. The pear drink was so refreshing! Don’t miss out on the Parmesan dipping sauce that comes with the pizza—it’s a game-changer. Service was excellent, and the pricing is very reasonable. Highly recommend!

Came in on a Sunday around 2pm. Rosa greeted and seated us quickly, and was so polite and attentive even though she was the only server there. Was recommended a special that included a free 4-piece chicken plate, and their sweet and spicy style sauce was delicious. The somaek tower gave you just about 4 glasses, which is perfect for a party of 2. I came in knowing that Korean pizza is sweet, but it still threw me for a loop since it was my first time having it. The bulgogi was okay, but buldak chicken won me over! The yam-stuffed crust was so sweet but I couldn't stop eating it. The cheese dip went well with the crust. Overall, if the pizza is too sweet for you, I highly recommend the sweet and spicy chicken. Definitely coming back again!

The kimchi cream pasta was an unexpected surprise, with the slight spiciness of kimchi blending perfectly with the rich cream sauce. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, great service, and the drinks are a highlight. The Melona honeydew frappe is sweet but not overwhelming, making it super refreshing. Overall, great value, unique flavors, and a warm ambiance—highly recommended! Will definitely be coming back next time!

This is my first time having Korean fusion pizza, and it is a real banger! We got half and half of the sausage shrimp pizza and buldak ramyun pizza. My friend can't eat pork and service was so good, they let us substitute the pork with bulgogi so that we can still try the interesting flavors of the sausage shrimp pizza (onion, bell peppers, sweet chili sauce, honey mustard!). The flavors were super creative and the Asian fusion on pizza was so delectable - spicy, sweet, a bit tangy. There was even a bit of sweet potato near the crust of the pizza for a delightful sweetness. The pizza was baked perfectly, with a crispy base. Moreover, the pizza came with a Parmesan dipping sauce that was a perfect complement with the pizza. So creamy and garlicky. I can't wait to go back and try more flavors!

Lovely staff-- would recommend the bulgogi pizza over the potato pizza and the sauce accompanied twas excellent. The wings were great-- enough to make Adam eat 8 of em (post dinner). Cute little spot-- Cheers!

We came by around 6:30 pm on a Thurs evening as a small party of 3. The restaurant was pretty much empty with the exception of a few other patrons so we were able to just walk in. We were able to leisurely eat and chat for about two hours and over the course of prime dinner time, the restaurant slowly started filling up with other diners, but not what I'd call bustling. From the menu, the 8" pizza is recommended as a personal size pizza, the 10" for 2 people, and the 14" pizza for 3 people. You can order each pizza to be half half to try two flavors. We wanted to try as many flavors as we could, so we ordered a 14" & 10" pizza for the 3 of us to try 4 different pizza flavors. The flavors we chose were: bulgogi pizza, potato pizza, sausage shrimp pizza, and buldak ramyun pizza. The pizzas came out with a side of garlicy parm mayo dip (likely Kewpie mayo based, so it was kind of like a sweet sauce). The pizza came out promptly & they were all very delicious! The golden krust is fluffy and cheese filled. I love buldak ramyun so my favorite was the buldak ramyun pizza, very flavorful and not really spicy imo. I might have been inhaling the pizza too fast to notice the ramyun mixed into the pizza but it was so good! There are bacon bits in the potato pizza and I think that savory flavor stood out to me most over the potato flavor (which tbf, I expect to be subtle). The sausage shrimp pizza was a mix of sweet & savory and the bulgolgi pizza was very solid. I'd love to come back to try the other flavors, everything we had was very good. We would have loved to try the other appetizers and side dishes but we were pretty full off the pizza itself. The staff brought us another complimentary parm mayo sauce when they noticed we were demolishing it with our pizza as well as being pretty good about refilling our water. Friendly staff, delicious food, good vibes & ambiance. I definitely recommend trying Appas Pizza!

Came on a Saturday night and it wasn't too busy. We ordered a pizza and did half bulgogi half potato. The potato side was ok but the bulgogi was good. We also got the fried chicken and it was amazing. Perfectly crispy and sauce was good as well. Service was good but they started to get busy and did not come by for a while. Inside is cute and not too big but enough seating.

Okay, I'm writing a review for an experience from probably around six months ago. Regardless, I was just walking around the area with my bff and we were hungry and this spot looked interesting so why not? We opted for the kimchi bacon pizza and split an order of wings. They were nice and added some fries on the house! Fast, kind service and pretty affordable too. They have options to order at a screen if you want to do that option for lunch as well.

The pizza here reminds me of Dominos or Papa John's but with a sweet potato filling in the crust. They have lots of unique topping choices here with a Korean flare to the traditional Italian-American pizza pie. I liked the Potato Pizza and there is a lovely garlic spread that comes with their pizzas. The loaded fries were also delicious. The waitress was great and quick with the service and the food came out in a timely manner. The table spaces are good for both small or large parties too!

Korean style pizza definitely wins. I have never enjoyed a pizza as much as I did when I came here. My favorite part is that all their pizzas come with a sweet yam lining around their crust. It makes the crust so delicious. My favorite pizzas I've tried are the Kimchi Bacon Pizza and the Potato Pizza. Next time, I definitely want to try the Corn Cheese pizza! There is plenty of space in the restaurant and the interior is cutely decorated. Great place for lunch with friends!

Comfort food of all time. Appas Pizza is our favorite spot for cheat meals. Their korean-inspired pizza and risotto stand out from other regular pizza spots. The sweet potato paste in their pizza crust is so addicitve that it lives rent free in my head. ＊Half & Half Pizza If you like Buldak spicy ramyun, you'll definitely love this flavor. It uses the Buldak sauce as the base, topped with a thick layer of cheese and spicy marinated chicken. Quite spicy but it is still manageable. The complimentary garlicky dipping sauce is very addictive. The kimchi bacon is just okay. The sourness of kimchi doesnt really compliment with the savory taste of pizza. I prefer bulgogi topping over this. ＊Bulgogi Risotto When my bf's favorite dish from a pizza spot is not pizza. He has been praising the bulgogi risotto for the longest time and I finally tried. It is loaded with cheese, bulgogi chunks, mushroom, onion and bell pepper. It is indeed delicious but a bit too heavy for me esp after having a few slices of pizza. Better share with more people.

Appas Pizza was simply amazing. The cashier/waitress was nice enough to give us this garlic parmesan or garlic butter sauce which was delicious. Went well with the crust of the pizza. I ordered the spicy chicken pizza which was fire and flavorful. My best friend ordered the BBQ chicken pizza which she loved. Both also ordered the sweet and spicy wings. They had nuts on them and strangely enough it works well with it. It added to the texture and gave them more of a crunch. They were tasty as well. Nice and open restaurant too. I would give it a 10 out of 10!!! The only thing I didn't like was the Peach refresher. It was small and wasn't sweet, but i can look past that. Next time I just order a soda.

The pizza is always perfect here, and so is their music choice. The staff is really friendly too. I love that you can do a half half pizza. All of the flavors are delicious, but my favorite toppings are the sweet potato and coconut shrimp. The sweet potato purée is to die for. You have to try their spicy sauce and the Parmesan sauce. Their loaded fries are good too, but I'm sad that they don't do waffle fries anymore.

I am a recurring fan of Appas pizza. I love the sweet potato puree and the crispy crust. I always get corn cheese on one side and a different flavor on the other half. I always get it as takeout and typically wait 15-20 min for the pizza. This time I got the coconut shrimp and was pleasantly surprised. The shrimp balls were crunchy, even on day 2. They have a lunch special of a pizza and soft drink for $16 and I plan on taking advantage of this again!

On a weekday evening, the service was great. The staff was attentive and there wasn't too many other diners when my friend and I first arrived. People trickled in after we started our meal. It was a chill spot for a casual hangout. The Ube Latte was creamy and had the perfect amount of sweetness, but my friend pointed out that it had the slightest taste of acidity. Buldak Ramyun Pizza (for 2 people) had a flavorful crust and a ring of sweet potato right next to it. It wasn't too spicy, but the slight spice paired well with the sweet potato. The cheese pull kept on going. One thing I liked about the pizza was how perfectly cut it was so it was easy to pick up.

This place has changed quite a bit in terms of ambiance and menu since it first opened (it even says oppa pizza outside?). I was pleasantly pleased at the corn cheese pizza, that was one of the best tasting pizzas I had all night compared to the meatier ones (bulgogi and spicy budak chicken). The sweet potato crust was done really well and I loved it with the dipping sauce they gave us. In addition, our server also told us there was an off menu honey aloe soju tower and that was one of the best soju cocktails i ever had! Great group spot in the EV

My favorite Korean pizza restaurant in the east village. I honestly enjoyed everything I got. Came in here with my friends and honestly they never disappointed us. My favorite would be the kimchi bacon pizza-5/5- the kimchi compliments well with the bacon a lot! I highly recommend it! There's sweet potato in all of the pizzas I have tried and it just sits well with everything. Service-5/5- everyone has been attentive every time and kept clean. They accept card with no minimum. Overall, will def come back here again and try their other items.

The pizza here was a nice change of pace from the other options in the city. I had a sweet potato pizza with mushroom and jalapenos added. The crust was really crispy and fluffy, almost like a Detroit style pizza, and I liked the toppings and cheese as well. The sauce was a bit too sweet for me, but I suppose that's the fusion element. It's also a bit expensive, at around $20 for a personal 8" pizza. Definitely worth a try to experience something different.

I love this place! They serve Korean-style pizza, which has a bit sweeter dough and emphasis on fun flavors (like bulgogi or corn cheese)! I really like how they let you do a half/half pie with two flavors from their list! We got the half Corn Cheese and half BBQ Chicken Pizza. The corn cheese was definitely my favorite- buttery and cheesy and delicious! The BBQ chicken was tasty, and the sour cream sauce was a nice touch. The crust is the best part though! They stuff it with Goguma (Korean sweet potato), and it gives it a creamy and slightly sweet taste. To drink I got a Melona frappe which tasted exactly like the ice cream and was perfectly refreshing. The logo on the drink is also so cute! My friends also got the Parmesan bacon fries, and I tried one- delicious with lots of fluffy cheese. Service is really nice and helpful here, and there's a good amount of seating inside. It wasn't crowded when we came on a Sunday afternoon, but I could imagine it getting busier during peak hours. Overall this place is a gem of a pizza place, and I would 100% come back (have my eye on their bulgogi kimchi pasta next!)

Korean style pizza has made its way to New York City. Appas Pizza in East Village comes up with their own version of Korean Pizza. As you can see, the pizzas loaded with cheese as well as toppings. The toppings are reminiscent of Asian culinary staples, and are definitely delicious. Another difference I like to add is that Korean pizza comes with a sweet potato crust. This makes the pizza subtly sweet. I had the experience of trying this place with a friend. We ordered two combination pizzas. We had the bulgogi pizza combined with the kimchi bacon pizza as well as the coconut shrimp pizza combined with the spicy chicken pizza. All in all, I would say that my favorite flavor is the Bulgogi. It was sweet tangy and paired well with the cheese. All the other flavors are delicious as well. Everything was flavorful and decadent. Our total, including tip, came out to roughly $30 per person. Our waitstaff even gave us extra pizza boxes to take our leftovers home. spacious restaurant delicious food & drinks ( they had frappes as well ) fast service just a block from the 14th street station bathroom is flawless

The pizzas here are creative and delicious. They come in a variety of Korean-inspired flavors and every one I've tried so far has been wonderful. The stuffed crust has a sweet (but not too sweet) flavor and creamy texture that makes it feel almost like getting a dessert after every slice. It's also wonderful that the pizzas can be ordered half-and-half in order to try more flavors per visit. The interior is simple and clean and the service is friendly. I've been a few times already and am always thinking about going again!

Cute little Korean pizzeria in East Village with Korean flavors and thicker crust and yam stuffed crusts at the edges. They have so many flavors and offer half and half pizzas so you can try more flavors. We tried the potato, buldak ramen, corn, and bbq chicken. Would definitely recommend! Only giving four stars because it was a bit on the greasy side for pizza, definitely can't eat too much at one time.

I've been missing Korean style pizza, and Appas Pizza definitely hit the spot! We got there for a dinner on a Friday as a party of four and was able to get seated immediately. The owners who greeted us were so nice and welcoming! We got two half and half pizzas to share amongst us. We got corn, potato, spicy chicken, and kimchi - my favorite was the corn and spicy chicken! I didn't like the kimchi as much, and that's coming from a Korean who loves eating kimchi; I'd recommend the corn instead, and some other protein-ish flavor if you are coming here to share one pie! The highlight of the pizza was of course the golden crust. If you are a sweet potato fan, you will love the pizza here! Overall, I'd love to come again to try the other pizza flavors (esp the sweet potato!). Korean pizza is a little sweet, more thick, and doughy; if you are more familiar with the classic thin NY style pizza, the pizza here might seem a little different than what you are used to. However, Appas Pizza was a very filling, delicious meal at a reasonable price ($16 pp incl tip) -- I'd recommend giving it a try!

Came back here after a year. The menu is a bit different. We got the 10 in pizzas again, and half and half to try 2 new flavors - corn cheese and spicy chicken, alongside kimchi bacon and shrimp/sausage. They also gave us a parmesan cheese (ranch?) sauce for free which went well with the crust. The corn cheese turned to be a surprise favorite for me. The sweetness of the corn matched well with the cheese and sweet potato puree. After that, I liked the shrimp/sausage more this time than the kimchi bacon. The spicy chicken was not as flavorful as I hoped it'd be. We also got the kimchi waffle fries and while the kimchi was flavorful, the fries were baked and not good.

The hype for this place died down a lot but glad that I still came in to try it. The pizza was larger than I expected it to be. We got a 14" half and half split between three people. I was only expecting 6 slices, but there were 8. We tried the bulgogi and the kimchi bacon. Both were very solid choices. Bulgogi was good. I think it was a white sauce base. The kimchi bacon was a bit more on the saltier side, but the kimchi cuts it down a bit. I wasn't expecting sweet potato puree at the edge of the crust, but I guess that's what they meant by golden crust. The dough itself is light enough, and there is a nice crispiness. The meal was very satisfying and filling, and it was less than $15 per person which was a steal. The staff were great. They gave us a side of their cheese to try which was nice. I didn't try it personally, but my friends thought it was really good. Especially dipping the crust into it.

Walked by this spot and combined two of my fave foods so had to try! We got the kimchi bacon pizza, Parmesan bacon waffle fries, and bulgogi pasta. Everything was so delicious, but it definitely got super heavy as we ate more and more. Honorable mention to the fries, which were UNREAL. We had great service and a kind waiter. It was a pretty casual spot but relatively new (I think) so they're finding their footing. The drinks definitely could have been better, mostly everything was soju-based on extremely sweet as a result. Would go again for a nice comfort food meal!

Must try: Bulgogi Pizza, Buldak Ramyun Pizza, and Korean Pear Fig Salad! Why: Unique Korean flavored pizza! We each got our own 10" personal pizza to share. I got the Bulgogi and Coconut Shrimp Pizzas. My friend got the Buldak Ramyun and Potato Pizza. We both loved the Bulgogi and Buldak Ramyun Pizzas the most! Each 10" had three slices of each pizza so easy for sharing and trying all the flavors. The crust was slightly crispy, which I loved. We also started with a refreshing Korean Pear Fig Salad, which had large slices and small slivers of Korean Pear. It was topped with some fig spread, raisins, and walnuts with sweet onion dressing. I washed the food down with a pleasantly refreshing Sweet Rice drink, my first time trying. And we cheers to some Green Apple Soju. Awesome meal from start to finish! Notes: Spacious and clean restaurant with many tables, great for small or large parties. We came at 12:30pm on a Sunday and it was starting to fill up but we were seated down immediately. They also take reservations. The one bathroom was even spacious and clean. Loved the plants and decor, like the sign that says "Get Shit Done." Also, their soap is from Trader Joe's - nice touch! The service was great - friendly, helpful, and quick. Definitely coming back for more Korean Pizza!

A cute spot with delicious pizza! The place looked so cozy! I came in on a cold winter night, but the heat was warm and comforting. And the worker was quick and ready to pour me water and place down menus. We got the Half & Half Pizza ($24) 10 inches, which was recommended for 2 people. There were 6 slices total. We got the Buldak Ramyun Pizza and the Kimchi Bacon Pizza. We were both surprised by the size of the slices. But, after finishing, I appreciate the smaller size that lets us feel contently full. And Korean pizza is on the heavier side anyways due to the sweet potato crust. Unlike other Korean pizzas I've had in the past, the sweet potato golden krust is more subtle here, which I enjoyed more. It wasn't blatantly sweet, and blended in well with the crust. The crust was also the perfect size without being too thick. The Buldak Ramyun Pizza was worth the try and surely enlightened my curiosity, but I wouldn't get again. You can taste the buldak and there is ramen meshed inside, but it is on the soggy side. You can't go wrong with a Kimchi Bacon topping. One of my favorite KBBQ combos, the kimchi and pork belly are harmonious on pizza as well! The staff was very nice, letting us sit for a while despite having finished eating. I would for sure visit again to try the other pizza options!

Good food and good service. Also a decent amount of seating inside. Pizzas are very customizable, though they can be on the pricier side for pizzas. However, these flavors are definitely something different from regular pizzas, and are well crafted as well, so I would say it's worth the try.

AMAZING KOREAN PIZZA. The pizza was unique that had choices for you to choose from. Me and my girlfriend absolutely loved this place. Even though it's not your ordinary NYC pizza it's still phenomenal. The ambiance is very cozy and has this pop of a color interior that reminds me of a diner for some reason. Their pizza INCLUDES a sweet potato purée around the crust and it makes the pizza 10x better. If you come here, the corn cheese pizza is an absolute must!!!

Noticed this place as we were walking by- my husband and I stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon. Cute spot in the East Village- saw that they had some kiosks for ordering, which is helpful for when you're in a hurry. Service was warm and attentive- our server took care to explain the menu. What had originally caught our eye was their sign about their crispy Korean fried chicken but we were seduced away by their pizza selection- creative toppings like bulgogi, Korean ramen and kimchi/bacon! We got a half and half pizza for two, and we selected the kimchi/bacon and Buldak ramen toppings. While the pizza is on the petite side, the flavors and quality truly packed a punch. I am a baby when it comes to spicy foods, so the ramen side of the pizza was a little strong for me but that meant more kimchi/bacon deliciousness for me! The pizza also had a sweet potato paste drizzled on it, which gave it a sweet flavor that balanced the funk from the kimchi and the spiciness of the chicken. They also swerve parmesan bacon waffle fries and pasta/risotto versions of the pizza. So creative and delicious, we will definitely be back for more.

Appas Pizza is a casual sit down restaurant that mainly serves Korean spins on pizza and other comfort savory dishes. ordered takeout here a few weeks ago. you can order online/via app (obvi) but they have touchscreen ordering in-restaurant if you want to dine in or takeout. the restaurant is a nice size with plenty of seating options. it's super clean and brightly lit. it has a friendly modern casual vibe to it. got the Kimchi Bacon Risotto -- Kimchi, bacon, bell peppers, onion, and rice topped with melty mozzarella cheese. honestly, this is a must-order here--savory mix of flavors with the melty cheese, kimchi, and chunks of bacon is a WIN. it's a hefty serving and easily shareable between two. as a pizza addict, i am curious about the off-the-beaten path options...will probably give that a spin. definitely a great casual option in the East Village.

I visited February 23rd but this was such a rememberable day. I can still taste the moment my taste buds were awakened to the heavenly combination that is Korean sweet potato and mozzarella cheese. The chef through down in the kitchen. This pizza is revolutionary for my American taste buds. I was a skeptic and then I was saved. I had the bulgogi on one half and pork belly kimchi on the other and it was seriously delicious. And the Apple mango soju is such a good flavor. I want that pizza so bad right now. And the left overs were good too It was empty when we went in but full by the time we left and there was an old man there who seemed like he came in a lot

I will preface this review by warning hardcore traditionalist pizza lovers to shield their eyes from the menu over at Appa's Pizza. These are not your coal oven baked Neopolitian-style margheritas-- these are pillowy soft Korean-style pizzas, laden with (what some might say the most egregious) toppings like kimchi, ramen, and condensed milk. When dining at Appa's Pizza, the world is your oyster. I came in Monday evening and was welcomed by our server who explained the menu to us (in addition to pizzas, there are oven-baked pastas, risottos, quesadillas, and a bevy of playful Korean-based drinks and cocktails) and directed us to order from the kiosk. It's very fast casual as you order and your food is brought to the table. We ordered a large coconut shrimp pizza ($29), a small half spicy chicken half buldak ramyun pizza ($26), the bulgogi kimchi baked pasta, and the Korean pear fig salad ($16). While the coconut shrimp pizza was not a big hit with my group (the coconut flakes and condensed milk were too adventurous and the whole pizza veered into dessert territory), we did enjoy the sweet potato purée piped around the circumference which made a deliciously crispy crust that was sweet and savory with the mozzarella cheese. The buldak ramyun pizza had actual ramen noodles embedded within the crust and was definitely the spiciest of the three we sampled. The spicy chicken pizza had a milder gochujang-based sauce that was spicy, sweet, and tart from the pickled jalapenos and pineapple. We also ordered the Melona frappé ($8), strawberry milk ($7.50), and 20 Honey ($6). I personally really enjoyed the 20 Honey as it is misugaru inspired and has rich notes of barley and malt in the drink. However, the Melona frappé is not to be missed either as it tastes exactly like a blended Melona popsicle (sweet, melony, and very refreshing). Overall, I quite enjoyed my experience at Appa's Pizza even though some of the pizza choices were not for me. I would definitely return to try their bulgogi and kimchi pizzas though. Our server, Josh, was very nice and offered to make us a new pizza when we realized we ordered the wrong item, which I greatly appreciated. If you are an adventurous eater, or are a big fan of K-dramas, a visit to Appa's Pizza might be for you.

a perfect place for an asian spin on pizza! there's so many creative flavors and i'd definitely come back to try the others. we found a 10 in pizza to share for two people was a good amount since the pizza's really dense and creamy. i would recommend the bulgogi over the potato from the two flavors we tried. a little on the pricier side for pizza but taste's great!

Order: - Half Pizza (sausage shrimp pizza and BBQ chicken pizza) (5/5) - Melona Frappe (5/5) - Cajun Waffle Fries (4/5) Pros: - Great tasting Korean style pizza. The frappe was the BOMB.COM. It literally tasted like a Melon bar ice cream (IYKYK) - Good amount of toppings on the pizza - Self-service. You order through a kiosk and you also get your own water - Quick service. Food didn't take too long to come out Cons: - Paper plates and plastic cutlery. Not the most environmentally conscious Overall: The pizza tasted amazing and I loved the Melona Frappe. I would definitely order again, but probably for takeout

One thing about Appa's pizza is they will definitely surprise you with the variety of toppings. I was really excited about coming to Appa's pizza after all the buzz this past summer. The place itself is really vibrant and cute. The bathroom is also so warm and inviting. They have menus ready at the table and you self order at the kiosk. Me and three friends finally made the venture out and ordered the coconut shrimp pizza, the ramyun pizza, the bulgogi pasta, and the pear salad. We all individually got separate drinks as well and the star of the show was definitely the melona frappe. I personally went with the strawberry milk which was really refreshing. Staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. I misunderstood the half toppings but they were ready to make us a whole new pizza right away. Ask questions if you're unsure how the half toppings work! The salad was a nice addition as I always like to have some kind of veggies with a meal. I'd be happy to see more additions of salads to the menu since this was the only one. The coconut shrimp pizza was a combination of sweet and savoury and wasn't a table favorite. I think if I wanted to try it again I would do without the coconut flakes. The ramyun pizza definitely had a kick and the crust for both pizzas are phenomenal. The sweet potato is so delicious. The bulgogi pasta has seaweed in it so if that's something that throws you off keep that in mind. I'm glad to finally had a chance to try out their pizzas and if I'm ever craving their crust I'll be sure to come back!

The cutest Korean pizza shop in NYC! When we were ordering, the waiter recommended us the Parmesan Bacon Waffle Fries and it did not disappoint. The sauce was so cheesy and delicious. The kimchi bacon pizza was my favorite as the kimchi was perfectly fermented and matched the sweet potato sauce. If you are looking for a chill spot to eat with friends then this is the perfect spot!

Appas Pizza is a unique Korean-fusion pizza spot. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of options and the friendly welcome I received when coming in. Making bulgogi and cheese corn as toppings for pizza is an exciting concept that was executed well here. Everything was delicious and paired well together, including the dipping sauce (tasted garlicky but not sure what kind of sauce it was). The only thing is that I wish there was a little more meat on the bulgogi half of the pizza to showcase that flavor more. I only got a couple small bites of bulgogi in my slice and you can barely see it in the picture. Other than that, I'm glad I visited!

Delicious and great service!! There's not many places in NYC that offer Korean style pizza - the only other place I know is in Flushings. Korean style pizza is typically a little sweeter compared to Italian style pizza, so keep that in mind! The sweet potato puree in the crust really elevated the experience. My favorite was the potato pizza. The fries were okay - not really outstanding and it got soggy pretty fast.

I had such a great experience at Appa's Pizza! Came here for a solo dining experience and it was a great chill atmosphere. My server was so attentive to my needs, made sure I had enough water, sauces/condiments, etc. 5 stars for service alone! For food, I got the Half & Half Personal Pizza with Beef Bulgogi and Buldak Ramyun. Literally SO good. The subtly sweet flavor from the sweet potato mousse in the crust paired so well spicy and savory notes of the pizza/meats. The bulgogi was so well marinated and flavorful; I very much so enjoyed this with bites of the bell peppers and onions. ALSO, when you dip the pizza in the their Parmesan Cheese sauce it really elevates the bite. (The sauce is so good I want to smother every bite I eat in it LOL). The Buldak Ramyun was also so good! It definitely is a bit spicy, so be prepared for that. I loved the bites of tender chicken with the sweet/spicy Buldak sauce and the fun bites of ramen in the pizza. Everything (once again) paired so well with the parmesan cheese sauce. I loved the food, the service, and the atmosphere. Appas Pizza gets a 5/5 from me! I'll need to come back and try the other flavor's!!

Came here on a recommendation and really enjoyed the Korean-style pizza. Ordered a half bulgogi, half buldak and loved both flavors. The crust is unique, with what's described as a sweet potato puree where the sweetness really compliments the saltiness of the pizza. Another difference to a regular pizza is the amount on each slice. I thought the price was a bit high at first, but they really load up the pizza with a ton of meat and vegetable toppings. Will definitely be back again.

This is the spot to indulge... and now my mouth is watering remembering everything I had! There is a self serve kiosk at the front to place your order. The pizzas came out quick and the servers were nice. I love the greenery in the space; it's very cozy and perfect to hangout with friends. What we ordered: Bulgogi risotto ($12) 10" half Potato pizza and half kimchi bacon ($22) Melona frappe ($8) Ube latte ($7.50) You can do divide the pizzas between 2 flavors! So we got half Potato pizza and half kimchi bacon! I really liked the softness of the potato pizza. It also has sweet potatos in the crust which was a nice surprise! their 10" pizzas are $22, and 14" are $27. The bulgogi risotto was a big portion! the dish was super cheesy which i liked, the rice was topped with kimchi, bacon, bell peppers, onion! imagine a hong kong styled baked rice dish, one of my faves! The melona frappe was incredible, and I would 1000% recommend if you love the Melona ice cream bars . I'd like to try their buldak pizza, strawberry milk and cajun waffle fries next time!

Came here for lunch on a weekday. The restaurant was pretty empty so we sat down right away. The staff took our order because the machines were down at the time. The restaurant interior is so cute and clean! The food was delicious. As a pizza lover, I was super excited to try the Asian-style pizza in America. I've had similar sweet-potato pizza before and was hoping it was what I expected. It did not disappoint! The toppings were super flavorful and the texture of the crust was crunchy in the outside and soft in the inside. The quesadilla was a lot larger than I imagined (more of an entree size rather than an appetizer size). I personally really enjoy pineapple on pizza, so I was excited for a Hawaiian style quesadilla. I think the dough itself was delicious but was overshadowed by the pizza. The ube latte was pretty thick in texture and wasn't very sweet. It was not as refreshing as I hoped it would be, but I really enjoyed it regardless! Definitely will come back for more :)

A fun pizza experience! Love the sweet potato cheese crust! Lots of toppings options, and can do 1/2 and 1/2 to try more than one. I thought the sauce was pretty good, and the cheese fairly flat, but they have some sauces that amp up the flavor. Service was great, as was an ice cold pint.

The first of its kind in nyc, this is a must try. I'm not usually a huge fan of pizza but korean pizza just hits different, and the game changer was definitely the sweet potato puree and the crispy yet fluffy crust. Considering how filling just one of these pizzas are I would say the price is pretty fair. We got a 10" pizza half bulgolgi and half kimchi bacon; both were good but the clear winner was kimchi bacon by far the flavors were just out of this world. We also got the kimchi fries and the bulgolgi baked pasta and they were decent too. The kimchi on the fries helps cut the fat and grease and the baked pasta was yummy but a little too heavy at times. The inside is also just so cute I love how bright and warm it is inside and the owners are so kind.

It keeps on getting better and better! Whether you're dining in or taking out, Appas Pizza is the way to go. I like mixing 2 flavors on my pizza so I get to try more. The bigger sized pizza is pretty big and can feed 3-4 people. I also truly enjoyed their risotto, it was so freaking flavorful. I've tried almost all the flavors now, and KIMCHI BACON is my personal favorite. The balance of sweet, savory, and sour is delicious. I love how they prepare the bacon. SPICY CHICKEN, BULGOGI, POTATO, are all good, but not as good as kimchi bacon. Spicy chicken has more of a kick to it. The bulgogi left more to be desired. Potato is fun but it's just potato. I didn't particularly enjoy SAUSAGE SHRIMP on a pizza but your mileage may vary. Service can be slow or fast, really depends on the day. Water is self-serve. Sometimes the restaurant is full (probably weekend nights?) and sometimes it's empty (weekday lunches). Restaurant is super cute. Order by yourself with the kiosks in the front. (You can sit down first before you order.) Also, I love the crust at Appas pizza and I'm not generally a crust person!

If I have to highlight one thing about Appas Pizza, it would definitely be the crust. The sweet potato crust is out of this world, it is baked to perfection and so so tasty. I've tried the Kimchi Bacon, Sausage Shrimp, and Buldak Chicken flavors and I would say Kimchi Bacon is definitely the best, followed by Sausage Shrimp then Buldak Chicken. I'm actually surprised by how delicious and unique these pizzas are, and would keep coming back to try their new flavors. If you get the chance to visit their physical store in the East Village, I'd definitely recommend it! The interior is super cute and aesthetic and reminds me of those cute cafes in Korea. I just ate 4 slices of Appas pizza and am debating on a 5th...

REAL TALK: I wanted to check out Appas Pizza, a Korean pizza parlour, because of its super cute logo - I was really hoping they had apparel for sale, but it's supposedly in the works... Their menu offers the following toppings: Sausage & Shrimp, Potato, Kimchi Bacon, BBQ Chicken, Bulgogi, and Hawaiian. I love that you can do half-and-half, for those who are indecisive, and they don't even upcharge you on this customization! We ordered a 1/2 Kimchi Bacon and 1/2 Bulgogi - we preferred the Kimchi Bacon more, as it had a nice amount of well-fermented kimchi and it was super cheesy; the bulgogi didn't have a flavorful marinade, and, unfortunately, was a little too bland for us. The crust was pretty crispy, but not sure if we were digging the mashed sweet potatoes that outlined the inner crust; it was definitely a generous amount. The place is bright and cheery, and I loved the clean decor and the cute artwork. The bathroom was super clean, too, which was a total plus! Staff was super welcoming, kind, and friendly - very helpful and informative! Note that you order at one of the 2 kiosks that are by the entrance, and the water is self-serve. The order will be brought to your table if you're dining in. I'm glad we were able to try this place out, but not sure if we'd go out of our way to return. I would still buy a hoodie of theirs, if they started selling those - HA! +cute logo! +clean and cute space +friendly and helpful staff!

This is one of the most unique places to enjoy on the lower east side. A Korean Pizza? sounds very intriguing and something I feel like I had to try. There is a large variety of toppings and unique pizza items to select from. Service was nice. It was different as you order at a stand instead of talking to the staff on hand (slight inconvience if you are someone who ask alot of question - I am included in that population). The place is clean, and well kept, and we were seated pretty fast for a weekend afternoon. The pizza was ready within 15-ish minuetes, and was hot and fresh. It tasted very solid. I throughouly enjoyed each bite and was excited to sample each pizza. I had no trouble eating through it all as I loved each bit. The kimchi bacon was my personal favorite of the set. My only really issue with this place is the price of pizza. I felt that the pizza itself feeds 2-3 but I dont think the price was necessarily worth the taste. The chicken buldack pizza was also quite taste. A very nice restaurant. Would want to grab some more pizza to go at some point, but I do think its a bit more on the expensive end for what you are getting from it.

I enjoyed the pizza here more than I thought I would! It's definitely on the heavier side with thick crust and generous amount of cheese. My favorite was the corn pizza - very unique specially with the addition of the sweet potato puree. The bulgogi pizza was yummy as well but more similar to a traditional 'supreme' flavor. We'd made a reservation for 2 people at 7pm on a Friday. There were some people on the waitlist already when we got there and luckily we were able to get seated on time. We shared a large pizza with half and half flavors. It was more than enough food, although some other items on the menu sounded good too. The space is casual with some nice decor touches. Service was friendly and attentive. I'd recommend checking it out!
