18 Downtown Lunch Options for Every Occasion

"Brother-and-sister team Paul and Aileen Reilly were pioneers in the local farm-to-table movement, and they continue to carry its torch at Apple Blossom, located in the Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver. While the burger’s a banger, as are the hand-cut fries with beet ketchup, the kitchen also excels at more elegant fare, like burrata with corn, maitakes, and maple-buttermilk cornbread or the signature gumbo with duck-bourbon sausage, Carolina broken rice, and pickled kohlrabi." - Ruth Tobias, Eater Staff

This restaurant was awesome! The food and vibes were great. Our server was really sweet and attentive throughout the meal. After we finished eating, she came back to let us know the kitchen had apparently made a mistake with one of our dishes—even though we hadn’t noticed anything wrong, and it still tasted great! To make up for it, they brought out a second one on the house, which was a really nice gesture. We left the dinner stuffed, happy, and really impressed with the service.

If you haven't tried Apple Blossom in a while, you need to put this on your list! They've reopened under a new executive chef, Amanda Singh, and the dishes did not disappoint! There were three of us in our party ... We had the charcuterie board, halibut, chicken, and mushroom dishes plus I tried the non-alcoholic spicy margarita. I never knew I could be in love with bacon jelly but that was a nice touch to the board. All three dishes were amazing and the margarita was perfect! We were too full to try dessert but will be back to do that!

The breakfast here was very mediocre and uninspired. The menu was very small so I ended up getting the traditional american breakfast on both mornings while staying at the hotel. I debated not even coming for breakfast the second day, but decided to give it another shot. Everything was cooked fine, but bland was the consistent theme throughout. The eggs and potatoes had no flavor at all, I had a hard time eating them because of how much they tasted like nothing. The toast was the best part of the meal and that’s only because I put butter on it.

Google
The only reason why I'm giving this place four stars is because it's a tad overpriced, even for downtown Denver standards. But if money ain't the main concern, this is a solid modern casual brunch lounge. The regular menu is pretty good, and the seasonal menu has plenty of curious (and delicious) things to try. Excellent cocktails on Happy hour in the evenings, too.

McKenzie took great care of us. Cocktails here are out of this world. He is super knowledgeable about drinks and will create a specialty cocktail for you based on your preferences. Nice modern, relaxing atmosphere.

Good food and service was impeccable. Also atmosphere was casual and inviting. Really enjoyed having meals there during my stay in Denver.

In from out of town on a work trip. Location is super convenient, gave it a try. I got the T-Bone medium rare, did not disappoint. Very tender. The sauce they served with it was amazing. The mashed potatoes were interesting, good flavor. Several of my coworkers got the buffalo burger. They all seemed very pleased with it. The apple pie dessert was a nice finish to the meal. Service was pretty good, although there were a couple of long-ish waits. That said, they had gotten a little busier, so not really abnormal.

Wow, I'm not sure why this place was so empty. Josh was our server and he was amazing! He helped guide us through the menu and recommended some amazing food. Thank you to all the chef's and Josh for making our first time such a memorable experience. The Spam is a must get, chicharrones were out of this world, and the salmon and pulled duck were perfect. Finished with the carrot cake 3 ways and the parfait, so delicious. When we get back to Denver we will be back, people go check this place out!

Yelp
I was excited to try this place based on reviews and photos but was sadly disappointed. I don't prefer to post negative reviews but if your an out of town we like me, I want to give you a chance to make other decisions. Service was friendly but the food was mediocre at best. Coffee was served luke warm (more like room temp with spot of cold due to the creamer) and they failed to share they were out of bagels for the salmon board I ordered until my plate was presented. When I questioned it, the response was simply "oh, didn't he tell you we only had toast or English muffin when you ordered?" It also wasn't until then that I could even ask for a hot cup of coffee. As you'd expect, cream cheese and salmon on toast was quite bland. Son had the breakfast burrito, which looked wonderful but he was also disappointed with the lack of flavor. Given the room temp coffee and meal deficiencies, I was surprised I wasn't offered any accommodation (at a minimum, take the coffee off the check...)

Yelp
Wow! Now one of our favorite breakfast venues! After just one visit!! We stopped in on Mother's Day, as our other favorite venues were all doing big brunches. Our preference is to order off the menu vs surfing the brunch buffet. So, we made our way to Apple Blossom - 11 blocks from our home. Not far, but sort of outside our typical range. Especially during a consistent light rain storm. No worries! A shuttle ride from Union Station got us really close. Then a short one block walk to Apple Blossom restaurant - in the Hyatt. Here, the restaurant just had the menu to order from, with a few specials for Mother's Day! Perfect! Along the way we had stopped for coffee. This time, 2 soy milk lattes as the coffee shop was out of oat milk. No worries! These coffees, from Illy, were delicious! On to the menu at Apple Blossom. Our server, gave us a nice overview of the menu and was very friendly and engaging. We loved the menu and after input from our server we decided on pancakes - cooked in a cast iron skillet and then finished in the oven. This would yield one pancake for each of us. She ordered hers plain. I ordered mine with sliced banana on top and Nutella. Both versions of their pancake were fantastic. Light! Fluffy! Delicious! Big! These pancakes take a bit longer to cook. Yet, ours came out fast. In any event, they are worth waiting for! Highly recommended if you like pancakes. Especially if you love pancakes!! Service was great. The venue is very comfortable. And we sat by a huge window and watched the rain fall on 18th street. What a nice breakfast at Apple Blossom!!

Yelp
Apple Blossom's Sunday drag bingo brunch is a must! It's so much fun and the food is great! I went with. A group of girlfriends for bottomless mimosas and a good time, didn't disappoint! I ordered avocado toast which was really yummy. Plenty of avocado, fried potatoes were HUGE! I don't usually like mimosas but theirs were fantastic, better champagne choices than other places and the juice tasted fresh squeezed. Highly recommend, the staff is friendly, and I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Since it was in our hotel we eat there every morning. Staffs are very nice. All of them were super friendly and helpful. They make very good espresso and breakfast. Also they serve tea in a little pot and then you can pour on your on. Avocado toast comes with arugula and tomato and pickled onion with some balsamic vinegar and it was amazing. I took without egg on the top, and also comes with whole potato which was a good combination. Also their burgers are very good but if you want side of bacon or avocado they will charge you 6 bucks. Little over priced. Alo breakfast burrito was very good and very Big couldn't even finish it. Everything Is so clean and tables are always set up for dinning. I wish I had a chance to eat lunch or dinner.

Yelp
Very cozy atmosphere and the food was all so tasty! The pasta was recommended by our waitress and I'm so glad I got it. The flavors were popping in every single dish though. Love it!

Yelp
The new menu for brunch is absolutely amazing! I love the way they do the breakfast potatoes and bottomless mimosas! I had the Crab Florentine. It was delightfully unique! My husband had the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich and he was floored! He loved the combination of flavors and the Asian take on a southern chicken sandwich. 100% give this place a try!

Yelp
We had a quick grip to Denver and this was an easy walk from our hotel. We came for happy hour and sat at the bar. Everything was yummy! Favorite was the spam they make in house and it was perfect, not greasy. Drinks were well balanced and refreshing. Bartender was attentive and gave great service. Cute, bright interior.

Yelp
My partner and I were looking for brunch at the last minute on a Sunday morning and didn't want to wait, so Apple Blossom was perfect. First, I fell in love with the ambiance here. I just love the interior. I got the trout eggs benedict. I was a bit nervous because I've never had trout on my benedict, but it was amazing. The side of fries it came with was also really thin and crispy, just perfect. My partner got the deep-fried bananas foster french toast. It was really good, the fried aspect gave it more of a tougher texture. We also got iced vanilla lattes with oatmilk and really liked them!

Yelp
Marginal experience for brunch this weekend. In short, satisfied with food, disappointment in service and value. This restaurant charges a 23% service charge in lieu of gratuity. I have no problem with this concept, except it obvious there was no incentive for quality service. At the end of the day, we had to ask for menus, ask for a share plate, and did not get checked on after receiving our food. As I was looking around the restaurant, I noticed a wall mounted airplane plant above us. The plant was neglected and was starting to wither away as the vase was bone dry. To me, this was a perfect illustration of the my experience of the service received- inattentive, didn't care, everyone said "it was not my job" and no one stepped out of their way to help After all, they were already getting their tip automatically. Pretty average experience to start with- had reservation, was greeted at door, slight wait for a table to be cleared. Once seated, the waiter came and asked if we wanted to start with any drinks. This was a bit awkward since we did not yet have menus and had to ask for them. For a drink, I had the $12 espresso martini. For $12, I was disappointed it was small and came in a wine glass despite being a martini. However, it did taste good. My companion and I shared the breakfast burrito. We had to request a second plate to split the burrito, but it was good. Could have been spicier and hotter in temperature, but good nonetheless. Waiter did not check in us until after I had already cleared my plate. Ambiance and atmosphere was good The place banks on being a trendy hotel lobby in a downtown space. Good and drink were overpriced but I suppose I was paying for atmosphere.

Yelp
Nestled at the bottom of Hyatt Hotel, we believe in downtown Denver; is this nice little brunch spot called Apple Blossom. The interior is nice quaint & cute according to the ladies in our brunch group. There are nice little paintings on the wall and flowers on the tables. As soon as we were seated, we were greeted by a smiley person & offered water while we looked over the menu. The drinks were really good. I opted for the Corned Lamb Shank Hash, which is to die for, and it came with fries and an amazing Beet ketchup. Yes, you heard right!!! You don't want any other ketchup after having this Beet ketchup. For your information they should bottle & sell it to customers. This is what I have come to expect from the great farm to table restaurants in Colorado, such great bright & flavorful bites, drinks, and main dishes. As a group, we shared THE most amazing pancake I have ever had! I didn't get a picture, but uts the big fluffy one you see on their site, or others have photographed. My best advice is to get a main dish & share the pancake as like dessert. I don't know if they served this pancake during dinner, but if they did, I would order dinner and then have that pancake with a scoop of homemade ice cream for dessert; it's that good So if you want great service, good drinks, and great farm to table food, come on down here and enjoy a nice quiet and relaxing atmosphere with clients or for a date. You will not be disappointed at all.

Yelp
I loved this place! I had a hearing at the courthouse down the street and I just needed a place to have lunch and hang while I waited. Because it was just me, I sat at the bar. The bartender was super friendly. The grain bowl I got was surprisingly delicious. The ambiance was really nice. This restaurant was part of the Hyatt Centric when I visited. So the restaurant and the lobby just melded together. It gave me a nice place to chill after lunch before my hearing. But the restaurant was huge - the lobby was pretty tiny. I'm going to crave that grain bowl fortnightly. I just know it. I'll be back.

Great experience overall! Wonderful service, food, and cocktails. The housemade spam is a must.

Yelp
The other amazing burger I had this weekend was from Apple Blossom. It's the restaurant downstairs in my hotel. I order the regular burger with fries. Another super flavorful, juicy burger cooked a perfect medium temp. There's an herb butter added to the burger that's odd but a really good addition. For the fries, I've never been a fan of shoe string fries. The show string fries here were nice and crispy but lacked flavor unless you happened to grab one of the fries with salt on it. Also, the beet ketchup was very different. It wasn't bad but I'm not a huge fan of beets so it was hard to eat. When I asked for a to-go box for the rest of my fries, my server gave me regular ketchup. I went back the next day for breakfast and although I really wanted another burger, I ordered the Corned Lamb Shank Hash. I regretted not ordering the burger. The flavor of the hash was okay but not as good. The horse radish sauce which helped the flavor tremendously was scarce and place at the bottom of the dish, underneath everything. The addition of the spaghetti squash was a first for me. I eat spaghetti squash but I don't think I've seen a restaurant add it to a dish, especially not a dish like this. Lastly, let's talk about the Skillet Cookie. I had it two days in a row. The cookie comes out still hot, crispy around the edges but soft and gooey in the middle. It's also a salted chocolate and the addition of the salt really pairs well with the sweetness of the chocolate. It's topped with your choice of ice cream that starts to melt just a little as they bring it out, making the cookie even softer and creating it's own sauce. 10/10 recommend. FYI there's an automatic 23% gratuity added to each check

Yelp
Apple Blossom is a restaurant that is oriented towards serving locally-sourced/seasonally available dishes. Being at the ground floor of the Hyatt Centric Hotel is fitting as the new Hyatt concept looks to highlight local sights and activities in its decor. The restaurant's hotel-based location also allows opportunity to experience a full portfolio of menu items -- from breakfast to late night Happy Hour, every day of the week. However this is not your typical hotel-based restaurant food and service, and a visit will squash any bias a diner may have had. Following a restaurant design trend, Apple Blossom has a variety of seating configurations and semi-private nooks, and as such is poised to meet the needs of a range of diners' needs, from solo hotel visitors to large gatherings of friends, family, or colleagues (even event-sized (20-30 people)). The restaurant design appeared as if it came from Anthropologie's design and buyer teams, with modern, organic dining chairs, large olive glass water tumblers, and wall art. Service is impeccable, being attentive, yet non-Intrusive, as well as informative. Service tips are embedded in the bill at a flat rate of 23%, and are reportedly distributed to all restaurant employees as an equity move. Another impressive move was the serving of gratis appetizers at dinner. Since menu changes, it might be best to solicit the recommendations of servers. The following were recommended fall 2022: Breakfast: The egg sandwich, smoked trout sandwich, burrito, and Croque Madame were recommended by two servers (apparently beloved pancakes are not on the menu at the time). The smoked trout is complimented by peppery arugula and think slices of tart green apple, and served on a toasted poppy seed bagel. Hot Earl Grey tea paired well. The egg sandwich also included peppery arugula, but also a thin layer of beet purée. This added brightness and color to the common sandwich. Don't recommend selecting the optional addition of bacon as it is chewy, rather than crisp, and difficult to bite into. Macchiato paired well with this dish. Both dishes are served with French bistro style potatoes-- small cubes with crisp exterior. Dinner: The skate and fried chicken dishes were recommended. However we hesitated to order as they were relatively expensive, and one dish was totally unfamiliar (skate), while the other was overly familiar (fried chicken). We went with the duck French dip, a twist on popular beef sandwiches served with a cup of broth for dipping. This was disappointing. Unlike the other restaurant dishes, there was no effort to add color or surprise to the dish. The sandwich would have benefited with some color and complexity, such as adding pickled Julienne carrots to the sandwich. Just doesn't belong on the menu as is. Sticking to server recommendations would likely have supported a better introduction to the chef's creative efforts. Dessert: A trio of sweets were spectacular and I bookmarked the idea that the restaurant is a worthy late night destination for this desert, coupling it with a glass of wine. The mocha -themed trio included Mexican wedding cake cookie with ground ancho pepper and coffee beans, a slice of layered opera cake, and a tiny bowl of Panna Cotta. Valet parking is available at rate of $10 for two hours, but metered parking and parking garages are also in the vicinity.

Yelp
Once again visited with friends (they picked the restaurant) and just overall not impressed. Menu is small, dishes are small, prices are high. My pasta dish was not very good, really strange combination of ingredients, like they were trying too hard to be unique but it didn't really work. They had run out of espresso so couldn't make the espresso martini, other cocktails were batch made and some had run out. Seriously lacking meal and poor service for an added 23% gratuity. Pay your own employees and motivate them to actually provide good service and mix fresh drinks.

Magali M.

Yelp
10 out 10 highly recommended this place Do not skip the pancake, even if it's the only thing you'll have. I would fly to Denver just for this pancake. The Benedicts are done to absolutely perfection, the skinny fries with the homemade ketchup!!yummmm

Yelp
Service Charge (tip) is added to bar/coffee purchase without disclosing up front. This is not a practice I support. It's unethical without disclosure before purchase IMO, and I do not intend to continue patronizing this establishment.

Yelp
What a really cool and unique place! We came here as it's across from our office and some of our coworkers were staying at the hotel. The flavors on the dishes were really unique and impressive. We ordered the burrata to start and it was delicious. I would never think sweet corn and mushrooms with a burrata would work - but wow! For dinner we ordered the chilled buckwheat chitarra, rigatoni, and tofu steak (it is butter basted but my friend is vegan so they made it without butter). All the dishes were really impressive. They were very accommodating to our friend who was vegan, and she said it was the best Tofu she had - cooked perfectly. The portions were great to fill you up but not leave you overly full. They also gave us a carrot tartare complimentary, which was full of flavor and really good - not something I would try normally but I was glad I did! We ordered wine and the nonalcoholic drink - Texas Mohito - which was good but very sweet! I would definitely come here again, they said they change their menu seasonally so I am excited to see what they have next!

Yelp
If there's one thing you need to order from here do their PANCAKE. It's enough to warrant a measurement when it gets to your table. It's not dense by any means . It's fluffy! It's crunchy exterior and almost melt in your mouth overall effect that we kept on coming back for more! Their CORNED LAMB SHANK HASH. So pretty and oh so delicious. There's many things happening with this dish. The diminutive size is not an issue believe me. You will love this dish! With a side of shoe string fries. If you woke up wanting something sweet for breakfast get this- Deep Fried Bananas Foster French Toast. It's a mouthful of a name but it'll satisfy your yearning for that dessert for breakfast! :) Their Brunch on w/e is from 8-2. Awesome staff. Fast service and oh the tip is included in their check it's called the service fee of 20%. Don't tell me I didn't warn you.....! p.s if you're wondering about the painting on the wall ( the only wall with a painting) one of the chefs did it. Ask your server who did. Be friendly and inquisitive.

Yelp
Gorgeous space across the federal courthouse on a quieter street. I was here just for a late night piece of takeout cake but wish that I'd found this place earlier as it looked terrific. My PB & J cake was yummy. Blackberries blended right into the batter, PB mixed into the buttercream. Flavors on the lighter side but I really enjoyed my evening treat!

Yelp
Saw this place on Thrillist and decided to try it for date night. The food was delicious and the service was amazing! The house made spam was our favorite item, not pictured were also some great cocktails. Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
We had the pleasure of dining at Apple Blossom for dinner during our stay at the Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver. We arrived at Apple Blossom and were seated in the main dining room. Apple Blossom encompasses "The Best of America's Seasons" - they have a strong focus on the agricultural offerings of local and regional ranchers, farmers, & purveyors. The aesthetic of Apple Blossom is light & airy and we really got that farm-to-table feel from the décor; specifically from the enchanting wall mural depicting vibrant fruits, flowers, birds & butterflies. This mural was painted by Apple Blossom's pastry chef - talk about talent! The staff at Apple Blossom were spot on with service - Service Manager, Jeremiah and Server, Toni were inviting & warm. Both ensured our meal ran smoothly and had great recommendations on what to order. We started off our dinner with shots of the Apple Blossom cocktail. The Apple Blossom is made with Laird's Apple Brandy, lemon, & apple cider. The Apple Blossom cocktail had good tang from the lemon juice & a sweetness from the apple cider. The smooth apple brandy mellowed the acidity of the lemon and cider out the palate. Next I had the Gin + Tonic. The Gin + Tonic is made with purple gin, fancy tonic, & aromatics. The Gin + Tonic was served in a wine glass which really enhanced the cocktail's aromatics. The bittersweet taste of the tonic water was a good counterpoint to the piney smell of juniper. For appetizers we had the Bay Scallops and the Housemade Spam. The Bay Scallops are made with sweet pea, ham, bell pepper, & tarragon. The Bay Scallops were delicately sweet and buttery with a tender texture. The sweat peas complimented the scallops and added a snap of springtime to this app. The Housemade Spam is made with pan fried rice cake, rhubarb amba, nori, & smoked pork tare. We ordered this appetizer per Jeremiah's recommendation and we're so glad we did. This is something we never would have ordered unprompted - Apple Blossom's staff knows best! The Housemade Spam had a savory, Polynesian inspired taste (spam is very popular in Hawaii) - the glazed spam slices went perfectly with the warm, sticky rice cake. The spam had a great salty & teriyaki taste to it. For entrees we had the Potato Gnocchi and the Olive Oil Poached California Halibut. The Potato Gnocchi is made with Florida white shrimp, wild sorrel, crème fraiche, & caviar. The Potato Gnocchi was incredible and became my favorite of the meal. The gnocchi were soft little pillows coated in a creamy sauce. The Florida white shrimp were mild in flavor with notes of natural sweetness. The chewy texture of the shrimp went really well with the pillow-y texture of the gnocchi. The crème fraiche and caviar certainly took this gnocchi up a notch in decadence - SO GOOD. The Olive Oil Poached California Halibut is made with king trumpet mushroom, mushroom cream, pickled mustard seed, & green chickpeas. This halibut was perfectly cooked - light & subtly rich with a silky, buttery texture from the olive oil. With the entrees I enjoyed a Riesling from Forge Cellars per Jeremiah's recommendation. This was an old world style Riesling - very dry with nice acidity and it paired beautifully with the gnocchi and halibut. We had the Roasted Spring Radishes as our side of vegetables. The Roasted Spring Radishes are made with heirloom farina, tatsoi, white truffle butter, & pink peppercorn. The fresh Roasted Spring Radishes were gorgeous in color - a welcoming sign of spring. The radishes were pleasantly mild in bitterness and had a flavor comparable to turnips. They had a crisp and crunchy texture. As a pick me up before dessert, Ross had an espresso and I had an Espresso Martini. For dessert we had the Skillet Cookie, the Thai Tea Panna Cotta & the Lemon Meringue Pie. The Skillet Cookie is made with a salted chocolate chip cookie, your choice of ice cream (we chose cookie dough), chocolate sauce & is *baked to order*. Holy moly, this skillet cookie was sinfully delicious. The soft and chewy cookie had an ooey-gooey brownie-like consistency. The temperature variation from the warm cookie to the cold cookie dough ice cream was everything. The Thai Tea Panna Cotta is made with pistachio shortbread, & butterscotch whip. The Thai Tea Panna Cotta was a lovely shade of orange. It had a silky texture and a vanilla, sweet taste. We enjoyed each smooth bite - shout out to Toni for such a great recommendation. The Lemon Meringue Pie's filling was smooth and creamy and the meringue was billowing and irresistible. The pie had a nice balance of lemon and sweet.

Yelp
Overall was underwhelmed. Good space and set up, greeted and seated quickly on a Saturday at brunch time (although it was just the wife and I with a reservation). They had a special event with the "Grinch" walking around, interacting and posing with guests which was well received for this holiday season. My wife had the croquet madam - this was a large and heavy but delightful breakfast sandwich with a mass amount of pan-crisped Gruyère cheese! It came with an abundance of shoestring French fries and red beet ketchup. Note to self, the cheese is a fantastic pairing with the French fries! She chose to drink an espresso martini was as as good as any, but oddly served in a wine glass (rather than a martini glass). I had the corned lamb shank hash - this meat was seasoned and cooked perfectly! Unfortunately it felt as though they forgot to season the rest of the hash entirely. This was especially surprising since the description included a horseradish sauce which is often quite potent. At least I had a lovely sparkling wine with grapefruit and lemon Bellini to wash it down! This dish also came with an abundance of fries and the red beet ketchup. My wife did not prefer this condiment but I enjoyed it since it allowed for incorporation of beets without the overpowering earthy flavor that it normally carries (and a more pink color for the fry-dipping). For dessert the wife and I shared a skillet chocolate chip cookie with scoop of malted milk cookie dough ice cream with chocolate drizzle. This was enjoyable and the ice cream had particularly nice sized dough chunks, but was no comparison to a pazookie (found at any BJs Brewhouse). Our server was very nice but incredibly awkward. He definitely made an effort but could tell his significant lack in people skills. Would consider returning to try again but perhaps with less adventurous expectations.

Yelp
Food is wonderful. Apple Blossom is owned by one of my favorite restaurant teams in Denver (other concepts include the Coperta and the now-closed fan favorite, Beast + Bottle). However, it's located in a hotel (Hyatt Centric Downtown Denver), and you can feel that. From the decor to the cafeteria-sounding music that played throughout our meal, this place unfortunately screams "hotel restaurant". The table, chairs, and color scheme don't help. While the other restaurant concepts by this team have been cozy and romantic, perfect for date night, I wouldn't consider Apple Blossom a great date night spot. The food was amazing, as would be expected.

Yelp
Bartender John makes the most AMAZING craft cocktails! I had the breakfast burrito and the green chili was also so delicious!

Yelp
We tried this place on a whim and it turned out to be great! The staff was very friendly and gave us some great recommendations. We ended up doing a couple small plates and then split some larger ones amongst the table. The highlight for me was the skate. It's something that I haven't had before, so it was a great to try something new that tasted great. I'm not a huge fan of downtown as I feel it's pretty lifeless and boring, but this is a great reason so head back in the area!

Yelp
A well-appointed location for a decent brunch in downtown Denver. While the location is excellent, prepare to pay downtown prices for relatively small portions of solid, but unremarkable fare. A reasonable place to eat if you're hungry and in the area, but not worth going out of your way for.

Great food and locally sourced ingredients! Highly recommend you try this classy establishment and enjoy the food and atmosphere.

Yelp
First time eating here & wow, the food was delicious. The seafood bouillabaisse was AMAZING! Not to mention their fries might be the best I've ever had as well! This restaurant is elegant including the customer service from everyone even those who were not our main server.

Yelp
Service was impeccable. The staff was amazing and was very helpful and considerate. We have food allergy and a lactose intolerant family member and the staff made sure to help select foods that would work, and even made suggestions like steamed oat milk with chocolate instead of hot chocolate for the lactose intolerant little one. We ordered the pancake, bananas foster French toast, poutein, and eggs Benedict. All of which were superb and portions were a great value.

Yelp
My husband and I ate at Apple Blossom three days in a row during our stay at the Hyatt Centric. I was expecting boring "hotel" food, which this was NOT. I was greeted by one of the managers, Kaylin. He very proudly told me about his favorite breakfast item, the Colorado Style Breakfast Burrito. He went on to explain why Denver green chilis are the best. I followed his advice and it did not disappoint. My only complaint was that the burrito was too big! Delicious and stuffed with fresh ingredients. Our server, Alex, was equally delightful and attentive. I am confused why this place wasn't packed. There's some unusual treats too. For instance, they have beet ketchup that was fantastic. The espresso martini was also terrific. Great staff, excellent farm-to-table food, please check this place out!

Yelp
Our breakfast group has visited most of the downtown restaurants and this is one of the best. It has unique offerings, and the quality of the food is outstanding. The menu is limited but it offers some wonderful options not found elsewhere. I had the deep-fried caramel apple French toast. WOW! Service was very friendly and helpful. Note that although the restaurant is in a hotel, it is a family-owned business. We will be back.

Yelp
Came here for brunch and had a very pleasant experience. We decided to sit in the bar area to give us ample light for taking foodie photos. What I liked about dining in the bar was that the chairs were comfortable and the tables were higher so it was not difficult or awkward trying to eat our food in a "lounge" type setting. I really appreciated that. Service was a touch slower however again we were in the bar area and the bartender had a full bar of people to attend to as well so no qualms with that. I started with a lavender lemonade as I am not currently drinking and though it wasn't pretty and purple like I was hoping it was quite good. They did a salt? rim which I thought was a brilliant idea as it added a nice salty touch to the lemonade and it made me feel like I was actually drinking a cocktail! We got poutine to start and I was quite a fan of the thinner shoestring fries, as that is a personal preference for me when it comes to fries, and I like that it added more of a crisp factor than some thicker fries can be more Of a mushy potato. Big fan of that. The dish was incredibly rich and flavorful which I loved and had no problem with, especially because that fresh green onion added a nice burst of flavor to cut the rich fat content. I thought it was perfect. Though definitely a dish for sharing as we eat only had a few bites. We all ordered different entrees and ended up sharing which was nice and gave us a taste of many things on the menu. I went Colorado Breakfast Burrito which I very much enjoyed. I personally could have had a touch more spice in the green Chile, but alas you know me; I am a spice fiend. I loved the salty, smoky flavor the bacon brought to the dish, and you can tell they use high quality meats and ingredients. One gal ordered the croque madam which I was eying but felt it might be a tad heavy for brunch, but damn am I glad she ordered it. The ham they used was salty and smokey and reminded me of a Spanish Jamón and was so flavorful with the cheese and crusty bread. This really brought me to flavor heaven and I have to say might have been a favorite bite for me from the whole meal. There was also a beer cheese on there, but ham is what really stole the show for me. The other gal ordered the shrimp roll which was good, it was fresh and flavorful, but me personally I'm not the biggest seafood roll person so I'm thinking that's why this did not stand out to me. I will note the everything roll it was served on, I thought that was a unique addition, and I will mention again the freshness. It was nice to have a bite of this in between decadent bites such as the other items ordered. I also need to make a notable mention of the side salads that came with the roll and croque. Both were mixed greens with a white balsamic and I have to say, quite possibly the best dressing I've ever had. Tart, yet light I am buying white balsamic immediately to have in my house because it was amazing. Another nice touch. All in all I though Apple Blossom was an adorable space with incredibly good food. I also believe as they try to order from local vendors and eat through the seasons, this must mean their menu is ever changing to include seasonal items. Which I love. Definitely check them out.

Yelp
I was visiting from Orange County and heard it was a place to go to in Denver. The food was ok! The service were great!

Yelp
I've been traveling a lot for work. Let me just say that this restaurant and service tops a lot of destinations. Hands down delicious food! Bar service so friendly, and they remember what you've ordered before. Do not skip on the oysters and the duck leg sandwich! Hamburger is a perfect size and doesn't skip on anything! Their beet ketchup is so unique and delicious! Highly recommend and very reasonable prices for the quality and quantity. Sorry, there are no photos... too busy eating it all ;-)

Yelp
I came here for brunch with a group. We had a long table in the middle, and the server didn't hesitate to split the checks for us which was appreciated. I got the breakfast burrito, which was great and very filling.

Yelp
Natasha is great, amazing service and very friendly. The Colorado bulldog she made should be on the menu!

Yelp
Staying at the hotel here and decided to try the breakfast here. We both had the omelet, and we both took one bite and had to literally spit it out. The egg on the inside of the omelet was still liquid, and coated all of the mushrooms and stuff inside. We didn't have time to send it back, so I just paid $18 for an omelet I couldn't eat. Then We ordered a side of bacon for $8 and got the picture below. It looked freeze dried or something. Pros The homemade English muffin with apple butter was delish, the fresh squeezed OJ was good too.

Yelp
5 stars for this place for their awesome food and service. They let us in 15 mins before closing time and offered super nice service. We ordered a number of different vegetarian dishes and each one was just outstanding! I loved their butter bean hummus (best I ever had), walnut sticky bun, and burrata cheese. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Came here for breakfast- we were seated super fast with no wait. Latte was wonderful and the service was kind without being overly chatty. Had the soup of the day which was a white bacon and bean and the cereal which was perfect for the morning. Very clean and for the quality of the food and drinks we received, it was a good value. Would come back-

Yelp
I came here last weekend to celebrate my sisters birthday for brunch and it was spectacular!! The server was so nice and attentive for the whole time and had great recommendations since it was our first time there. All the food was so delicious especially the poutine for the appetizer. The Colorado Breakfast Burrito was huge, cheap, and delicious. And their fries are a MUST HAVE. Overall, getting our entrees took very long but the wait was worth it. Would definitely stop by again!

Yelp
Gotta say, pretty disappointed from our experience dining here for a work lunch. We were misinformed about one of the specials (told it was salmon burger but it was swordfish) to start-which one of us ordered. Then they forgot to bring one of the entrees out and was told that they can bring a box for it in case it doesn't come in time..excuse me? Why aren't you rushing to make it? So she can eat with us? The food itself was great, but that couldn't overcome the service experience. What's worse, they told us they would comp the entree on the bill, but when we received the bill, they charged an automatic 26% tip and they charged on the original bill which included the entree they comped. What a mess. I really wanted to go back and was planning to give the benefit of the doubt until the tip situation. Now idk if I would ever consider making the effort.

Yelp
Wonderful food, beautiful ambiance and one of the friendliest and most knowledgeable waiters I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Apple Blossom does a seasonal menu that is fresh and interesting, and while feeling upscale and and chic, didn't break the bank or wade in def aggrandizement and get up its own ass. Delicious, fresh small plates that kept coming and kept me smiling, great dessert. Give it a shot.

Yelp
Very rare I take the time to post reviews, but I made an exception here. My dish (croque madame, servers recommendation) was awful, my wife's Benedict would have been almost mediocre except it was cold. Inattentive service, nobody asked how our food was. Maybe the staff isn't quite as motivated since 23% gratuity is automatic? Stay away.

Yelp
absolutely loved their happy hour menu. had 2 cocktails, 3 oysters and a beef kabob for $45+ tip. i felt it was worth it because everything was so full of flavor. i was surprised to catch happy hour on a Saturday. I was staying at the Hyatt so it was easy to walk to the lobby bar and indulge in these yummy snacks and cocktails.

Yelp
We came here for brunch with friends on a weekend, and I was satisfied, but not blown away. Good standard brunch fare, but a bit stuffy & overpriced in my opinion. It's in the central business district of downtown, which I think unfortunately lends a place to being stuffy to begin with, so I don't think we cuold say this is Apple Blossom's fault. They do a good job of lightening the atmosphere as much as possible, I just wish there were more booths or things that helped it feel like a cozier place you would want to stay & hang out in. The food was just fine, and nothing that struck me as super innovative/creative. All in all, we were full & satisfied after brunch, but not sure I'd make the effort to come back.

Yelp
Yummy. Lovely atmosphere, everyone's friendly and welcoming, fresh squeezed oj and delicious vegan chorizo with greens and white beans, absolutely tasty. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
We went to Apple Blossom looking for a nice Saturday breakfast, and it turned into a brunch with the lack of urgency that the servers conducted themselves with. It took over 20 minutes to put in drink orders after we sat down, and we were one of two parties dining at the time. On multiple occasions we asked our server for additional things, such as ketchup and a spoon, and they forgot, or (what felt like) didn't care. It's a shame, the service was so awful, because the food was good. Would recommend if you don't have plans for the rest of the day, because you'll need additional time to account for the terrible service. Also, 23% service charge is included in the bill.

Yelp
Honestly sort of disappointed with my experience at Apple Blossom. We went for dinner and had a variety of dishes. The best thing that any of us got were the dinner rolls and the ham and cheese board. We got the beef short rib rendang and were honestly really thrown off by the price and quality compared to the other small plates we got. The addition of fried anchovy to what shouldn't have been a slightly dry individual piece of short rib just didn't taste good. It was a flavor and texture combo that in our opinions did not go well together. Three out of four entrées were disappointing. The swordfish was over cooked and over salted. The fried chicken's portion size seemed excessive (I know that sounds like a stupid thing to complain about, but it was honestly way too much food). The duck confit french dip was too greasy (roll that was heavily drenched and toasted in some sort of fat plus the fat from the duck made it overwhelming) and the au jus was insanely salty. Like almost inedible salty. The fries with the french dip and the pork tenderloin were just about the only good qualities of the entrées. Our waiter was friendly and did a good job. He said at the beginning of our service that they liked to bring food out in courses. From the time we sat down to the time we had our entrées, we had already been at the restaurant for over an hour. I don't know if that is an intended feature of what our waiter described, but it kind of felt like a convenient excuse for slow service by the end. Overall, it seems like in an effort to put out fine dining style food, the kitchen is forgetting the basics of seasoning correctly and not over cooking food. Some of the ideas on the menu that we experienced did not go well with each other and there is a lot of room for improvement. Our bill was nearly $300 and we honestly expect better when we spend that kind of money at a restaurant.
