Applebee’s Adds Drive-Thru Windows to Compete with Fast Food | Eater

"Testing the addition of drive-thru-style pick-up windows at an initial group of locations (orders must be placed in advance via website or app) as a pandemic-driven response to a reported 27% jump in takeout and delivery; if the pilot succeeds it could expand to the chain’s entire footprint. The move aims to capture fast-food convenience but clashes with a long-standing sit-down identity: the menu has barely changed in 15 years (items like the Oriental Chicken Salad and Fiesta Lime Chicken remain), preparation has often relied on microwaving, and mains such as the Whisky Bacon Burger use store-bought buns that don’t travel or hold well. Higher price points and dishes not designed for extended holding cast doubt on the concept’s ability to compete with well-optimized quick-service operators, and the shift risks further eroding the distinction between casual dining and fast food." - Amy McCarthy

Applebees offers all you can eat boneless, dry ribs and other bbq ribs. Yo expect to eat kind of a lot right?😁 It happened that i first asked for bbq ribs which was a good serving and it had goid taste. But when i aaked for a secon bbq ribs, i was told that thise had run out.And then, everything started going down the drain. I then asked for dry ribs. As these arrived to our table, it turned out it came with fdies and only 7 tiny pieces,really small. As what i had eatten had not been anough, i aaked for more of the tiny dri ribblets and i was avain told that those had run out too .come on!. So little for the "all you can eat" On top of that, it took about 12 to 15 mins to get the secon plate everytime you ardered. Service too was deficient, waiter would pass by us and ignore our raised hands or as we call her attention. Considering all the experience, i would not go back nor recommend that option

The food good the service was Terrible The waiter was not trained did give us choice Of bread or bake potatoes No matter how I put it my brother did not get Tortillas for the fajitas . he Never came back to see if we needed Anything and then he paid him self for his Tip we didn't get a recit .will I come back no Will I recommended absolutely not. Are we're mix up . They need to put more attention to The costumers my first time in My Son was upset.we paid 75 dolls And we were still hungry.
