Great spot for a casual hangout! The lady at the front door was super friendly and took the time to explain everything to me since it was my first visit. While I didn’t try the food, it looked amazing from what I saw. They have a new beer each week—this time, the Oktoberfest was a big hit, and I enjoyed it. The outdoor seating near the fire is perfect for chatting and relaxing. It’s also a kid-friendly place, and the bathrooms were clean. Definitely a great place to grab a beer and chill!

Google
What a great brewery! Great selection of pilsner's and IPAs as well as other spirits and cocktails and wine. Great indoor and outdoor seating next to the river. The rustic inside feel surrounded by the brewery equipment is awesome. Fantastic service, very fast and efficient. And the food was amazing. The pretzel and beer cheese was delicious as well as the wings, nachos, burger sliders, Nashville hot sliders, and the tacos. No complaints about anything, everything was delicious. Definitely a must go to when you're in the area.

This brewery is conveniently located down the sidewalk from Nylo Providence Warwick Hotel, inside the old Pontiac textile mill. There's a lot of indoor and outdoor seating, the beers we tasted were delicious, and the food was excellent.

Best dinner I’ve had in weeks! Huge shout out to Mattie, she was great and welcomed our dog!!! The hostess who sat us was also very kind , I didn’t catch her name but she was very nice! We had a great experience and can’t wait to come back!

Google
Very good brewery with a nice river view. Lots of seating inside and out. Good food menu with plenty of options and a very good beer menu. The sour beers have some tartness and the dark beer was smooth. Service was quick. Very nice atmosphere with a full bar, they do have ciders but no seltzers.

This place has quickly become one of our go to places. The food is amazing, the beer is just incredible! The outside patio has a great atmosphere, I love the sun, and my husband loves the shade, and we can always find a spot where we both get what we want. When outside isn't an option, we have always been able to find a spot at the bar, it's quite spacious. The staff is always friendly. Menu changes regularly, and it's never dull! The dishes are original, and incredibly flavorful! Can't say enough good things about the food, whether you are getting appetizers, are a meal, there are great options, even for the vegetarians!

Solo so sat at the bar. Didn't expect the salad and fried pickles to be such a big portion. Both were really good. The beer!! I meant to go back during my stay, unfortunately they are closed on Mondays. I recommend making the cheeseburger flatbread a bacon cheeseburger! 🤤 If I ever make it back to the area, I'll go again! Oh and the apple donuts were delish for breakfast the next morning!

Visiting from Florida. Matty was incredible! She was a fantastic server, checked on us multiple times throughout our visit. We always had everything we needed. Great salesperson, very hospitable. The apple cider donuts were delicious. Wonderful experience. We will be back!

Yelp
What a hidden gem of a brewery. Tucked right into a the old Pontiac textile mill this spot is conveniently located down the sidewalk from Nylo Providence Warwick Hotel. The brewery has a perfect atmosphere, amazing food and great beer! All the staff are super friendly. Great setting for a date night on the patio or it can be a great place to hang out with friends and family. I recommend getting a flight of beers and trying all their darker beers if that fits your palette. Don't skip on the fried pickles they are fire. Make sure to stop and grab some dope merch on the way out. Cheers

Yelp
I have been to Apponaug Brewing twice now to sample the brews and food and although there was a long time between visits, this is still a solid choice. Parking in and around the building is shared with tenants and other businesses. If you can't find a spot near the door, drive around behind the business for more spots. A couple of handicapped spots are right next to the door. Inside is a warehouse sized space. There was no one at the register by the door so we walked in and a staff member let us know there are 'community table' in the main bar area at the back corner where you sit with whomever needs a seat. A few more tables are available between the door and the bar area under edison lights and painted to look like you are underwater. Brew tanks are behind the bar and across from this little seating area. Floors are concrete and the ceilings high making the noise bounce - aka: it's loud in there. A sign by the door states all tables are communal so if there's an empty seat, you can sit there. They also have a cooler by the door to purchase take-away four packs. Menus, flatware wrapped in paper napkins, salt, pepper, hot pepper flakes and ketchup are already on the table along with a slip of paper to select 'flight samples' if that's why you are here. We sat in the small area under the edison bulbs and there are coat hooks on the walls next to the tables which is great because seating is metal stools with no backs (i.e. no place to put your coat or bag). The waitress was with us before our coats were hung up to take a drink order. Besides their own craft beers on tap, but they also have some cocktails and mocktails. The beer selection rotates. My date chose one of the IPA's and I asked for a mocktail and a water. After our beverages were delivered, the waitress came over with an old school glass milk bottle filled with water and two glasses which was very much appreciated. My SO got himself some chicken tenders in 'their hottest sauce' The menu offers many sauce varieties and it appears you can purchase a side of any sauce to go with any meal choice. The waitress also brought a bottle of hot sauce to the table which my heat seeking partner did indeed take advantage of! He thoroughly enjoyed the quality of these chicken tenders and the taste of the sauce. Definitely will be ordering these again. I chose the Korean beef taco. I was hoping for a bit more heat on the taco and I think the sweet level of the sauce on the meat cut any spiciness there may have been in the drizzle over the top. Overall, this meal had too much sweetness for my liking but I have no doubt others will absolutely love it. The meat is very tender, the scallion on top is fresh and these are very 'full' tacos. No skimping here. The menu is upscale pub fare with a couple of salad options, sliders, wings, nachos, four taco options and more. Staff are all friendly. Atmosphere is very laid back and imho the music selection excellent. There are several TV's scattered around the bar.

Yelp
Rotation of freshly brewed beer that never disappoints. They have flight slips making it super easy to fill out and follow once delivered to you! For a brewery their food is fantastic! Their load ranch chips ... have my mouth watering just thinking of them. We get them each time we go with an extra side of ranch. We have tried many food items at this point and was satisfied with it all! Even their signature mixed drinks are delicious. This is our favorite go-to weekend spot to go .. the patio is great in the warmer weather. Super kid friendly! Also they have a bunch of games for you to borrow and play while hanging out

Steven C.

Yelp
Awesome brewery with great beer and food. Service was on point and beer was both cold and delicious. Had the sliders which were good. Better than your average bar food. Desert was amazing. Homemade cookie ice cream sandwich and homemade ring ding were both sooo good

Jason B.

Yelp
Nice place. Friendly people, and decent food. Not a big fan of the parking setup, but that's nit-picking. Overall, a good experience. Don't drink, so I can't speak to the alcohol situation, but my group seemed to like it.

Cathy C.

Yelp
The ambience is amazing. River views with ducks and geese all around. Service was great! We had a family member using a walker and the hostess was amazing with helping us FIND the right spot to sit. Our waitress greeted us with a smile and gave us recommendations on the beers on the menu. I enjoyed the pretzel bites - they hit as an easy appetizer to share for 3 people.

Jarolyn F.

Yelp
Honestly one of my favorite places! Love the food , ambiance , service , staff! Fries are always perfect

Lauren M.

Yelp
Just moved to the area & this quickly became the "new spot" when I tell you order the Korean tacos and don't look back- I mean it. Service was quick and very pleasant for being a busy brewery. Can't wait til it's cooler outside to sit by the fire!

Altena S.

Yelp
This is brewery across from the Warwick Mall next door to the Nylo hotel. It's a great place to visit to try some beer and grab some food! The inside of the brewery is quite nice with a nice selection of beer and drinks. There is also a nice outdoor area overlooking the river which is pretty. The menu has a nice variety of food from appetizers, flatbreads, tacos to sliders. We really enjoyed the fried pickles which are not super breaded and nice & crispy. We enjoyed the beer cheese with the pretzel. The margherita flatbread was flavorful and our friend had the fried chicken and waffle sliders which he enjoyed! My husband had the signature wings which he enjoyed too! We enjoyed the hot nashville chicken sliders (pretty mild with a little kick). Our kids enjoyed the cheeseburger sliders with fries. The brownies are pretty good but not super chocolatey in my opinion. My husband enjoyed the crested double ipa. Our friends enjoyed the stouts that they had on tap too! They have some cocktails too that are good along with cocktails! The parking lot can sometimes be crowded but heading inside it usually isn't overly crowded. I have seen someone bring their dog so it seems to be dog friendly. They also offer a military discount. The staff is also friendly here. They are kid friendly and offer tall high chairs, kids menu, coloring pages and crayons and a changing table.

Bill C.

Yelp
Easy 5 stars. Why? The beer is awesome. And so is the food. Most breweries with this caliber beer don't need to do anything special for food. But this place does both great. Aurora is a smooth juicy IPA that's as good as Treehouse or Hill farmstead. I had the Korean bead tacos. Fantastic. And... it's kid friendly and in a nice location on the river.

B W.

Yelp
Food and service are always great. Beer is fantastic! Def recommend!! Sitting outside in summer or by fire pit and n colder months is a great but I tend to like the shared tables inside.

Kent P.

Yelp
Solid beers and good food. The tacos were really good. Nice deck outside as well. Stopped here on our way to Caoe Cod. Would definitely come back. Built inside an old textile building that used to make fruit of the loom.

Nice atmosphere, good food and staf efficient and friendly. Beer variety good. Outdoor space very nice.

Yelp
STILL love, this place all these years later! They've changed up the menu a bit, and it's still totally YUM. Italian salad was so fresh, bright and crispy. Was hard to not fill ourselves up completely with the yummy tater tots, which we ordered extra crispy. Cheeseburger flatbread pizza and fish tacos were also the bomb. Several of our tried and true waitstaff peeps have remained throughout these many years, Brittany (pictured here, with permission), Kim, Jamie, Nicolas, and let's not forget our sweet Yilmas, who has moved up a bit in the ranks. Speaks ever so favorably to the ownership/management. So glad they have launched back into the double IPA department (our favorite style beer ) and it's a good one (Highflyer)! Took a four-pack home. If you haven't tried this place, you gotta do it - they take care of their people and customers.

Melissa N.

Yelp
Fun meeting spot with good food and a nice variety of beers. I love when breweries have board games for the tables. It's a little tough to get seats at times because it's a smaller brewery but it's worth the wait if you can get in.

Katie C.

Yelp
We enjoy the outdoor seating right on the river. And love the giant pretzel with homemade spicy mustard. We bring our growler to fill up and it's so convenient. Service is usually fast.

Jacquelyn O.

Yelp
Located in an old mill building along a river Apponaug Brewing company is a great place to stop for a beer and grab a meal. We love to try new breweries so we were excited to stop. They make brew their own beers onsite. My husband had, It's Not Fine Panic and I had Crawl, Walk Run. Both with refreshing. For an appetizer we had Banh Mi Fries, these Asian inspired fires were one of the best I have ever had. The pickle vegetables added the perfect crunch to compliment the fries. For our main course we all had sliders, my husband and daughter had classic ones and I had the falafel ones. They were all delicious. The staff was friendly and prompt. I would love to come back in the warmer months and sit outside as they have a huge deck over looking the river.

Edsel 6.

Yelp
Great place for not only beer but also food. Pretzel bites with queso rocked. Flights reasonably priced.

Aaron G.

Yelp
Great spot no matter the season. Really cool fun outdoor area near a little canal, expect to see some cool birds or maybe a turtle! Indoor area is fun with a warm ambiance and some hand drawn art. Regardless of your pallet you'll fine something you like. Great beer, wine, mixed drinks, mocktails, soda, you name it. Food is tasty and right on point for the price vs quality. The service is incredible. It feels like the staff want to be there. Super friendly and helpfil. Definitely will return!

Yelp
You know how recently people are rocking the 'good vibes only' t- shirts everywhere? I feel like this place fits the demand. We walked in and immediately felt good vibes pumping through the brewery. It's a refurbished mill behind NYLO with a nice view of the water out the large, picturesque windows. Nice long bar, long tables for larger groups. It's cold so no outside but the outside area looks very nice overlooking the water. The music was all 80's hits, up beat for a Sunday afternoon. I took a look around, a lot of Hipsters hanging out here! (It's that vibe I was talking about earlier!) Our server was extremely nice, our 1 year old was totally flirting with her. As we waited four our dinner we played 'Sorry.' We shared food so I can share with you my thoughts on a few things: Poutine- This may have been the best poutine I have ever had! My husband and I were raving over it. We ate more than we wanted because it was just that dang good! We even got my daughter to give it a show and the 10 year old who doesn't eat pouting on a regular basis was digging it. Chicken, Bacon, Ranch Pizza- I have never have a CBR pizza with onions on it. My 10 year didn't care for the onions but it didn't change the flavor or me. it was good. I like a heavy handed pour and there was a perfect amount of ranch on the pizza! it is a shareable size but it was small for being priced at $16 (just my opinion.) Nashville Hot Sliders- this was my husbands food but I tried a piece of the crunchy chicken and it was flavorful. I am not too into spicy but this was sweet and a little spice. I approve! Chicken fingers- 8 large pieces. Perfect for kids and enough to share! Lots of chicken- the kids ate well. BBQ pulled pork sliders- this was my choice. I wasn't a fan of the flavor. I think it was the bbq sauce- it was just not my jam. I am just coming off a trip to North Carolina where the bbq was amazing so this fell really short. Also, the slaw advertised was vinegar. it was dry. OH and I love pulled meat sandwiches paired with blue cheese. They do not have the good blue cheese. Just saying. This place is a must visit again during nice weather for that outdoor good vibe!

Dennise K.

Yelp
Tucked away in the majestic former Pontiac Mill, this is a fun brew pub with delicious food and refreshing brews. Attentive and friendly staff, too. The sliders were yummy good and for the perfect snack: deep fried pickles (the only way I will eat pickles). I am looking forward to a summertime visit to enjoy my next meal on their HUGE deck by the river!

Chayenne V.

Yelp
This is my favorite brewery in Rhode Island. The beers are great, I got a flight and all the beers were great. Pro tip, get the nachos, it was the best I've ever had in a brewery. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. Besided the nachos, the view is incredible. Sit in the patio, enjoy the river view while sipping on you beers. I will definitely be back.

Gourav P.

Yelp
Loved food, good sitting arrangement outside with cool vibes. Service was okay. Will visit again food. Also dogs are allowedso that's a major plus

Allen H.

Yelp
Awesome hip place to hang out and have a beer and some food. When it's nice outside they have a patio with bonfires and you can't beat that :)

K C.

Yelp
It's our 2nd trip because this place is awesome. They even brought water for the dogs. The back porch is big and flowers are everywhere. Right on the river with a nice breeze. Food was super. Husband says best fish tacos ever. My flatbread was really good too. Service also great. Only downside is chairs on the patio aren't the most comfortable. W very thing else so good that it doesn't change my rating. Beer was excellent.

Alex B.

Yelp
When we walked into this place with 2 kids, I saw the menu and thought we were going to walk out. Everything looked pretentious like it was trying to be fancy while serving regular items like burgers and nachos. While the menu could use a rewrite, the food was damn good. Some of the best fries and tots I've ever had. One daughter had the pulled pork sandwich which she loved and the other liked the cheeseburger sliders. The BBQ sauce is amazing with the tots btw. My wife had the nachos. Don't be fooled by the thing that looks like a small tray, it had a ton of nachos on it. My wife didn't even finish it cause it was so big. Portion sizes were good and the server was very nice. I can't speak much on the beer. I tried their lite beer and another one. And it was just OK. But I did like the 4oz pours for $2/3. It was like a "create my own flight". I only got 2 of them and I just thought that was cool. We ate inside but there's a neat outdoor seating area where I could see spending a night hanging out of you got some of the comfy lounge seats. Interesting idea. Does it still look like a pretentious brew pub trying to be soemthing it isn't? Imo, yes. But decor and atmosphere are in the eye of the beholder. The food is legit for adults and kids and the prices were pretty good imo too. And that's what matters. Gluten free options were available as well. I definitely recommend checking this place out and getting the tots with the BBQ sauce though.

Bill M.

Yelp
Went to visit my daughter and her fiance. Spent some time at the house with some basic repairs. As a reward, they decided to treat us to some local beer. We show up at this development that resembled a former factory turned into condos and restaurants. We go in and and greeted warmly. Told at least 30 minute and are told we can wait on the deck by the fire pit. Well deck was very inviting as was the view. Within 10 minutes we were at a table. Since I had a 2.5 hour drive in front of me my beer consumption was minimized. I had their Czech Pilsner which was very refreshing and easy drinking. Along with the beer we had the Korean beef tacos which were good but a little heavy on the pickled cabbage. Then the cheeseburger fries, whoa! A big heaping pile of yummy! The tacos and salsa were good but the chips were a little over fried. Finally the Margherita pizza, being from Brooklyn I'm passionate about my pizza. For a pub style pizza the crust had good chew and texture the cheese was creamy and just the right amount. The hint of Parmigiano was spot on and not overpowering. Our server was also very good, there when needed. My only issue was that the food though very good just not hot.

B W.

Yelp
Nothing special, these kinds of places are a dime a dozen in this neck of the woods. Very ordinary beers and bar food. Locals might be offended by my review but they need to travel a bit more. This concept is dated. sorry...

Lauren P.

Yelp
I've heard all good things about this place so we decided to give it a shot. We were in the mood for apps so we went with the nachos with pulled pork and hot honey chicken sliders. Nachos were delicious, lots of toppings and great tasting chips. Unfortunately the sliders were literally PINK like almost red inside. We called the waiter over and he assured us that the chicken was cooked and that was normal due to their style of cooking it, but I could not eat it like that. My boyfriend took his word and ate two. He offered to get us something different, but I felt guilty as he kept reassuring us that it always comes out like that. I've had lots of chicken in my life and it's never looked like that.

Bill F.

Yelp
Fantastic food, excellent service, and we can bring our dogs to the outdoor seating area! Beautiful location as well. The beer selection is awesome as well.

Guen R.

Yelp
Food was SUPERB! Service was fantastic and the patio was wonderfully spaced and decorated. I would definitely come back.

Marco D.

Yelp
Impressive how bad the service is. Sat at a table and one female waitress got a first round of drinks, then disappeared. We wanted to get dinner before the 9pm cutoff so we had to flag down a random worker to put a food order in. Waitress reappeared during dinner and just walks by. We had to stop her to see if we could get more drinks. Also got a salad that was piled several inches high on a tiny platter. As soon as you touch it, everything falls all over the place. Had to grab a bigger plate just to eat it. Food was delicious, place was fun. No complaints there. Waitstaff needs some serious training. It wasn't even that busy.

Portia D.

Yelp
The fish tacos were delicious! There is also a great selection of beers. I had the flight. Service was also top notch. Will definitely come again when I'm in town.

Lide W.

Yelp
We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the incredible view while we enjoyed sampling their beers. The food (burger and BBQ) was good. The outside seating is much more plentiful than inside. Staff was friendly. Physically, it's set back from the road so it can be a little challenging to find the first time.

Victoria K.

Yelp
Nice view if you sit outside! The food is good overall. The Nashville hot chicken sliders weren't very hot (more spicy-sweet), but they were still tasty. The fish tacos and poutine were delish. Only sampled one of the beers, but enjoyed it. This is a fun spot to hang with friends, but I think a big part of the appeal (which is the waterside view for us) may be lacking in the colder months if you have to sit inside.

Arthur S.

Yelp
If you haven't been here yet, you defiantly should put this brewery on your list. The building and grounds are fantastic...on the river, great inside bar, and super clean. They have a great selection of craft beer and drinks. The food is great and the portions are large. There was live blues music on the Saturday that we went there and they were amazing! We ordered the fried pickles and jalapenos, very good and enough for two tables to share. We also ordered the pulled pork nachos. Also, very good with plenty of toppings. I would say the pulled pork was a pre made pulled pork, not something smoked all day, but the flavors were still balanced with all of the other toppings. The chicken tenders took place of the wings on the menu at the time were there and they were cooked to perfection...juicy and tender. We ordered them with a dry rub and sauce on the side. Everyone in our party of four were pleased with our service, food, and drinks. We would have ordered more if we were still hungry.

Steen B.

Yelp
Cool place in a cool old brick building that looks like an old factory of sorts, servers were super nice and very fast, food also was good, very healthy portion sizes

Bob E.

Yelp
Not bad for brew pub, but not great. The food was over-spiced and, if you like IPAs, the beer is fine.

Stephen K.

Yelp
Apponaug is the complete package. Outstanding food, bangin beer, and a great atmosphere. I also love how they continue to work at/on the business. It's an even nicer and more well oiled machine compared to when I started going there years ago. I highly recommend Apponaug to all my friends and family (and will be there this week on Tuesday )!

Valerie N.

Yelp
The good: they have both indoor and outdoor seating, and it's right next to the water giving a nice view. They also have "The Lodge" opened, which has an outdoor bar with limited beer and drinks but no food service. You can only have what's out there and can't transfer from the indoor bar. It's a good choice if there is a wait for seating and if you're just there for drinks. I've also liked the food there, but mainly keep it to appetizers like chips and dips and French fries. But.. I wish I liked this place better. I don't care for the beers even though they have types of beers that I like. To me, even their "light" beers taste like IPAs and taste too bitter. Out of the four times I've been, I have yet to have one that I've enjoyed enough to get a second round. Also, the staff interactions vary. The waitresses I've had have been friendly and helpful, but the bartenders I had last time not as much. I found the two with whom I interacted to rush me and lack manners. If I could find a beer or two I liked here, I'd give it a 4 overall but until then!

Liz A.

Yelp
This brewery was such a fun visit. Let's start with the beer. There are options for everyone and the beer is tasty, crisp, and well-made. Their IPAs are hoppy and flavorful. They have plenty of guest beers and ciders in cans for even more options. They have lots of seating, inside and out, and the location is beautiful. Being right alongside the river made for very nice scenery. For food, we ordered the fried pickles and the Caesar salad - both were HUGE. The fried pickles came with what seemed like an entire jar of pickles. They were really greasy and the flavor wasn't quite there for me. I do like how they include a handful of fried pickled jalapenos too. The Caesar salad was served with very fresh greens, crunchy brussel sprouts, and dressed perfectly. It was so big it came with tongs to serve. Overall, this is a great brewery with games, tasty beer, beautiful outdoor seating, and very friendly staff. We'll be back!

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
Beer and food are stellar. Excellent selections. Love the nachos and tacos. Good vibes and great staff.

Krista M.

Yelp
Great environment food and location. We had a great server who loved on our dogs! Highly recommend

Yawei B.

Yelp
Nice place to hangout. Good beers. It's nice they have kitchen to serve simple food. Also have board games for families with kids.

Jackie O.

Yelp
A fun place to grab a yummy beer with friends and family...fur babies included. They have a beautiful outdoor space and it's bright and airy inside. It's clean, it's inviting, and it's a great place to have a good time. Their beer is solid and I love that they have awesome food too. Everything we tasted was yummy. The chicken and waffle sliders were our favorite but they are super messy! Good thing we had baby wipes on hand. It's a bit pricey, so keep that in mind. We'll return for sure.

Rose J.

Yelp
Enjoyed the outdoor seating and the beautiful view of the water. Food was good and our server Kim did a good job waiting on us even with it being crowded. Kim also provided some great tips for tourist attractions.

Kat Y.

Yelp
The most fun you can have at a brewery! First off, the staff is incredible. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. The owner rolls up her sleeves and actually works the floor, bussing tables and all. I think that mentality trickles out to the rest of the team. Food is on point! Get a bunch of small plates and share with friends. Location... in warm weather, sit on the back patio. Overlooking the river is very relaxing. They also have bean bags and giant Jenga. During the colder months, belly up to a table and play Battleship's. There are a bunch of board games to choose from. Finally... BEER! So pick a flight if you're feeling fancy. The flights are presented in a muffin tin, great idea! Nice variety from IPAs, sours, ales, and stouts. Weather Steel is tasty and the sours are always on point. Grab your friends and check out this hidden gem.

Aaron P.

Yelp
Was staying at the NYLO Hotel next door for a night and walked over for dinner on a Sunday night. I noticed this place when booking my hotel, so I was excited to try it out. We arrived about an hour until closing and were told that it would be a 30-45 minute wait. We didn't have any plans so we just hung around out front for just 5 minutes before they called us back. There were a lot of open tables, so I'm not sure why we were told 30+ minutes. After we got seated I immediately placed an order for a flight of beer. We were then told that the kitchen was so busy they couldn't take another order 50 minutes from closing. Then, another server came to our table and tried to take our food order so we had to explain what we were just told. For our trouble they offered us a gift card, but we explained that we weren't from the area so instead we were offered a 4-pack of beer to-go. Overall, it was just a weird experience. Glad they let us know up front that they weren't going to sell us food, but wish they had been organized enough to turn us away at the door.
