"East Vail isn’t somewhere you’ll find a lot of great places to eat, but Après Cafe, which is owned and operated by a crew of locals, is the exception. The restaurant is located in the Vail Racquet Club, and it's great for groups—there's plenty of space and tables, along with a ton of shareable starters. We particularly like the loaded fries where you can pick a seasoning, a sauce, and a protein for a kind of Rocky Mountain poutine. The sandwiches, pizza, and other specials like trout with farro fried rice make this place perfect for so many situations." - kim fuller

This is the place East Vail needed. Great food & drinks and atmosphere, and the service was awesome as well! The pizzas are especially delicious, but everything is stellar. It’s amazing to have a new spot in East Vail and I couldn’t be happier for the owners!

After our first dinner service there, and certainly not our last, we have absolutely no doubt as to what all the buzz is about around the new Apres Cafe at the Raquet Club in East Vail. A massive congratulations to Chef Michael Ianniello, and to all of the wonderful people involved in opening this fantastic nook of a spot nestled in the depths of the Narnia-like mountain fantasyland that East Vail truly is. Seeing it so lively on a Thursday during a dinner rush during it's first two months of being open, and hearing the constant chatter, and that is no exaggeration, amongst the many tables around us, as well as seeing the smiling faces and full bellies all around was a true pleasure. The service staff was absolutely fantastic as well, and offered plenty of recommendations all with sincerity and a smile. And the meal? Well, it's beyond words, but pictures might aaalmost do it justice. A beautiful orchestration of incredible combinations of flavor in each different course made for an incredibly exciting and enjoyable meal. I cannot enough express how much of a pleasure it is to see the people I love most in life flourishing in their passions, and having an opportunity to share and appreciate their art and skill with other loved ones, but please do yourself a favor and stop by the Apres Cafe to treat yourself whenever you have a moment. Because as Mike always says, "Only the best for the best of people," and when you're in his dining room, you're always the best of people, and you're truly in for a treat. Thank you, Apres Cafe and keep killing it. I can't wait to see where this place goes!

Google
I have no idea why this establishment has a 5.0 rating. Food was pretty expensive and very low quality. The burger looked like it had a prepackaged meat patty that was too thin. Flavor was missing. Fries were very salty and crinkle cut(not my fav) which reminds me of frozen prepackaged variety. I guess I expect more for 48 dollars. Disappointed!!!

My fifth time back to Apres. As always the food , service and atmosphere were awesome. Everyone got somehing different. Orange Crush Pizza was a big hit. Can't go wrong with th BLT hogie. The fries and garlic nuts are always a hit. A special shout out to the chef and crew for the Tuna Poke Crisps. This app is a piece of art. Blending several colors flavors Into a delicious app. Sorry I haven't gotten it before. Our first trip this season. We'll be back

This is a wonderful option in an area with few options. If there's a wait for a table when you come they've got a nice bar to get a drink and help pass the time. Everything I've had was delicious: the pizza toppings are creative and the dough was so delicious. Fresh seafood flown in frequently from Seattle Fish company makes their crab roll sandwich delicious. The beet salad has some delicious veggies and drool-worthy blue cheese. The french onion burger on a pretzel was a super interesting taste combination and so satisfyingly tasty. They also offer takeout! I come back whenever I can and they continue to deliver great food and a great experience. So nice to have in this part of town.

What a wonderful experience my wife and I had. The atmosphere is delightful, the service was tentative and genuine and the food was outstanding. We enjoyed the Truffle Parmesan Fries that were dynamite and a Pepperoni & Sausage Pizza that was fresh, crisp and delicious. By far the best place we have eaten at during our time here in Vail!

The food here is very good, we loved the truffle fries poolside. But the owners are what make this place great. So friendly and warm. We come here once every time we come to Vail.

Yelp
Prepare to be underwhelmed. The service is amazing and the ambience is decent, especially in December. But when it comes to the food and the appetizers, you're better off eating somewhere else unless you are staying in the attached lodge and the location is super convenient. My group of three ordered the {Garlic Knots} and they came out quick! But probably because they had been kept under a warmer -- they were quite toasty on top, dry, and weren't very garlicky. The included marinara was very delicious though and gave us hope for the {Margherita Pizza} ($22) we ordered. The pizza was leagues better than the appetizer, but I don't think it would have tasted as good to us without the lackluster appetizer that preceded it (that was $16 for maybe 10/12 knots). You also eat off plastic plates (that resemble paper plates). The tomatoes they use on top were very flavorful and definitely carried the pizza. Overall, the service was very helpful, personable and helped give us recommendations for local activities. The ambience was cozy and we got to sit next to the roaring fire which was a nice experience. Food is not worth the price, though.

Yelp
Love this place, I come every time I'm in town. Nicest staff and great pizzas! The location is super cozy too.

Yelp
Food is either very gourmet and delicious or completely frozen food fried. Avoid their French fry baskets. Frozen crinkle cut fries and way over priced for what you get. Tuna poke was actually very good. No draft beer, all cans. Fireplace, service, and general vibe good. Great location in East Vail but meh on food. Will need to try more since first impression was not anything special.

Yelp
I've been here a number of times with different menus and have always walked away impressed! What a lovely place to have in East Vail with owners who really care about all aspects of the restaurant experience. The space is cozy but open, and the crowd is very local and friendly. Every time I come to Vail, we make sure to make a visit here. Highly highly recommend. As an added bonus, they offer gluten free buns with their burgers which are exceptional! Also the offerings at the bar are top notch.

Yelp
The food at Apres Cafe is undeniably good, but they've begun charging a gratuity for take out, which is really egregious -- 20%. I recommend the build your own fries -- the short ribs are DIVINE. The pizza is just so-so, and this combined with the overly-generous and self-applied gratuity caused me to remove two stars.

Yelp
Good food, outstanding wine, low key comfortable spot. A great place to go if you're looking for a relaxed dinner out.

Yelp
Yummy new place in east Vail. Local owners who are great. Thomas was very attentive. We had the mushroom truffle pizza which had a lot going on. The tuna poke crisps were very tasty and the garlic knots with homemade marinara also so good. Great space There is another bar upstairs. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Been several times and the food is good. The mushroom pizza was the biggest winner. I miss the cavatappi they used to have tho! Friendly service, dine in or take out

Yelp
We stayed at an AirB&B at the request club and went here for lunch one of the days and it was really tasty! We got the Buffalo chili and the loaded fries with Buffalo chili on them. Both were very filling and enjoyable! Our server was also super friendly and attentive.

Yelp
This restaurant lacks customer service. After the restaurant staff asked my party to wait 45 minutes for a table, we politely inquired about the status of our table. The restaurant manager's response was to advise us that he didn't need our business.

Todd D.

Yelp
Finally some ownership that makes good food! This place has bounced from owner to owner in the 20 years we've had a place here and they finally got one who works. Pizza, sandwiches and salads were great.

Yelp
My dad and I recently stayed in East Vail and had a DELICIOUS takeout pizza after a long day on the slopes. 100% would recommend!

Martine L.

Yelp
Amazing pizza, garlic knots, fries and drinks! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Friendly service, very comfortable space to hang out with friends! May come back tomorrow....

Yelp
I don't think this place has any competition which can often lead to mediocre food. We are staying in the east Vail area with limited food options, but very surprised by the quality of food and drinks. I don't write many reviews, but this place didn't have many, so figured I'd put in a good word. I also don't usually really care about wait staff/service (I'm just getting food in my mouth, not going to the spa) but our waiter was very down to earth and got the job done well.

Yelp
Great find in East Vail at the Vail Racquet Club! Ordered a pizza, burger and BLT for hungry kids. Had our food in 15 minutes and it was fantastic. Good energy in the restaurant - Tommy, Ahmad, Jen & all staff was welcoming and so friendly. Fun place, great food, and nice people.... what else would you want? Looking forward to coming back in future trips.

Yelp
Good food & excellent service. The crab crevice, tuna poke & the summer tabbouleh salad are great summer options.
