That is, if you want to attempt making small talk while using the Evening Standard as an umbrella and fending off hailstones from your date’s unsuspecting face. No, British weather cannot be trusted. But, Aqua Shard’s bar is on the 31st floor of The Shard so if the weather’s good you can enjoy a view of London looking her absolute best. If the weather’s bad, well, you’re inside and armed with a cocktail list. We booked afternoon tea today 09/10 and me and my partner both agreed that this was one of the best Afternoon tea parties. It was our anniversary which was acknowledged at the desk when we were entering the restaurant but also, we were given a plate with two beautifully presented sweets, and a chocolate plaque saying Happy Anniversary. The sandwiches were amazing, especially the mushroom tarts, and the cakes tasted amazingly good. We definitely didn't feel hungry at the end of it all. All staff, and I mean absolutely all of the staff, starting with the security at the Shard and the Restaurant staff were lovely and attentive. And we had a great view. Definitely worth visiting the Afternoon tea.

Amazing restaurant with fabulous view! Octopus, ravioli and beef were well executed and tasty. The Shard dessert was beautiful and a great way to end our meal. Service was friendly, albeit sometimes disjointed, but courses were well-timed. Service is automatically included so don't add it when paying. I always check but I think that they should tell you upfront when presenting the bill. Our server asked us to check the bill and perhaps that was a subtle way to say service is included. There were several birthdays and a proposal which is not surprising. It's a memorable venue. Happy we came to experience it.

Took my husband for a 3 course brunch to celebrate his 60th Birthday and from the moment we arrived we received the warmest welcome from security and at Aqua. Our coats and bags were checked so we didn’t have them at the table. I had specifically asked for a window table and they delivered this and we had a delightful view over the river. The server was super helpful and friendly, he even sang happy birthday which was lovely. Food was fantastic and deserts were amazing, hubby also got given a lovely little birthday desert in addition to the one he had chosen on the menu, great choice of drinks was available so we opted for the whispering Angel rose which was delightful. It was a memorable occasion and we will certainly visit again as it was super special with the best service ever in a beautiful setting.

My sister was celebrating her birthday. I had added this detail when booking the reservation. Our waiter brought out a chocolate treat for her at the end of our meal. Waiting staff very attentive. Although we hadn't booked window seats, that is where we were seated. Great view of London. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Would definitely recommend going!

We enjoyed the scenic set menu which was much more expensive than we would usually go for, but with the food, view, service and experience it felt worth it! The starter selection was delicious, especially the spinach croquet and chicken terrine. The mains were a good size, well cooked and flavoursome. The dessert platter was three different items which were all presented beautifully and tasted delicious. All in all a fabulous experience!

We had an unforgettable time celebrating our anniversary at The Shard! We opted for the afternoon tea, which featured a charming Peter Pan theme. The entire experience was nothing short of magical. Special thanks to the staff, especially our waitress, Julie, who was incredibly patient and attentive. Every detail, from the whimsical theme to the impeccable service, was spot on. Though it's on the pricier side, the experience is absolutely worth every penny. We loved exploring the "map" to select our teas and coffees, and the highlight was definitely the ship of desserts! Absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived until the moment we left the afternoon was superb. We were greeted by the charming Manager who made me feel like a Princess! The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Flavours were intense and we loved the thematic touches; especially the jelly crocodiles!! Of course the views were awe inspiring; even from the loos!! Loved it!
