Arancini Bros Review - Lower East Side - New York - The Infatuation

"Sure you could snack on a sugary sweet pastry and walk around Essex Market, but why not get a bunch of fried rice balls filled with mozzarella and peas, pasta and cheese, or even Nutella? That’s exactly what you can do at Arancini Bros, who sell and package their rice balls in egg cartons. Structurally-innovative packaging aside, a half dozen cost $12 and make a great appetizer as you walk around the market looking for what else to eat." - Carlo Mantuano

I had the bianco verde rice balls and they were fantastic. Super crispy and delicious warm basil pesto inside. Surprisingly 4 of them were a filing enough lunch. The gentleman working the counter that day was very friendly. 4 delicious bites for $2 - not bad

I pass by here everyday on my way home and decided to give it a try tonight. I ordered Bucatini Fritti, basically fried pasta - Mac and cheese type of thing. It was definitely good, and for sure a kiddo approved meal item. They don’t present much of a visual there... if they did I bet they’d draw a larger crowd. All you see is the menu. Service was good. I had someone with me who left their iPhone at the counter, and it was safely found when she went back down to search for it.

I look forward to Arancini Bros. Bianco Verde every time I visit Forest Hills Stadium for a concert. 6 of these are a great start to the night and probably fill up most people for the evening. The flavor is amazing and the fried shell is not very greasy like some other Arancini I've tried. I prefer the pesto and Mac n Cheese flavors much more than the chicken and other meat filled flavors, though I thought I remembered Buffalo being good before they added meat to it. I don't like the texture with meat inside.

Awesome! Several tasty options to choose from and all great! Fried perfectly and never greasy.

I was at the concert and I was greeted by these two great ladies I think Christina and rose if I’m not wrong and they presented me with the most delicious Nutella rice ball ever. Some would even say life changing. Changed my whole outlook on life and I can’t stop thinking about it. I personally think that they deserve a raise.

I love arancini and they have a nice variety of them— I really like the vegan Beyond sausage filled ones (although I’m not vegan), they tasted like real ground meat. The pizza ball flavor is my other favorite, and the only sweet one with Nutella is absolutely amazing! The rice was a bit overcooked, though, hence the 4*.

The staff was super nice and explained what it was. I took 3 random flavors and enjoyed them all. It's so rare for me to enjoy this type of cuisine but it was delicious and worth the price.

Arancini Bros are rolling out hot bites within the the new Essex Market and are worth a visit. the setup is pretty simple. there are a variety of Arancini balls on display under hot lamps. there’s an order counter that accepts cash and debit/credit. menu and prices are clearly on display. beyond that, there’s a small kitchen / fryer area where the “balls” are fried up. there’s cold brew tap and lemonade tap. Arancini are fried rice balls. crunchy fried breadcrumb coated rice balls filled with different fillings. the ones at Arancini are bigger than a large egg. the eats? good, tasty and shareable. there about 7 different Arancini flavors to choose from. i ordered the 6 for $12 + tax. my favorite was the 1) “Bucatini Fritti” aka Mac & Cheese. hot, flavorful, cheesy and gooey with the crunch of the the exterior. awesome. 2) second fave was the “Sausage & Peppers” which tasted like a mini fried sausage and peppers sandwich. 3) ”Classic Ragu” was saucy and tasted like mouthful of tasty spaghetti. 4) the “Bianco Verde” is perfect for pesto lovers as the pesto is strong. 5) “Pizza Ball” tasted pretty much live overly sauced pizza. 6) “Buffalo Ball” was just okay—should have substituted with another mac & cheese. the service was quick and efficient. it wasn’t overly friendly. there was no “hi, how are you, thanks, etc” but the food is good, so it is what it is. drops mic cuz i’m ballin’—rice ballin’ that is
