I visited Arc Food & Libations on a Sunday funday adventure with my friends. We wanted to try something new and this place looked promising. Walking in, we were met with a dimly lit yet inviting atmosphere, the warmth of the fire oven adding a comforting touch. We ordered a variety of dishes and drinks to share.
The menu sounded exciting, so we dove in. The Duck Tacos arrived first, looking tempting with their vibrant colors. Sadly, the "okie at best" description sums it up well. The portion was tiny, not justifying the price tag, and the overall flavor lacked punch.
The Glazed Seabass came next, and while cooked well, the overwhelming tomato flavor overshadowed the delicate fish. It felt unbalanced, leaving us wanting more from the dish.
Lastly, the Crab Cake. Packed with generous chunks of crab, it delivered on both taste and texture. It was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, with generous chunks of crab meat. It was served with a tangy and creamy sauce that complemented the crab well. The IPA beer was also very good. It was refreshing and hoppy, and had a nice balance of bitterness and sweetness.
Overall, Arc offered a cool vibe and friendly service. However, the food fell short of expectations, especially considering the price point. The small portions and unbalanced flavors left us feeling like something was missing. While the Crab Cake and IPA were definite highlights, the rest needs some refinement to truly shine.
