"Packed to the gills since day one, hungry hordes flock to this sleek haunt for its wonderful, wood-fired cooking. Indeed, ARC remains one of the best spots for a night out with a pack of friends or family. The space is dominated by a dark wood bar, plush booths along the perimeter, and lofty windows. Certainly, while the setting is focused on wood-fired cooking, all eyes appear to be riveted on the plate. A full menu pivots around grilled meats, including the well-priced "butcher's love," a well-priced paean to meat that's intended for sharing. Other selections include satisfying enchiladas, while a tall wedge of carrot cake is the stuff of sweet dreams. The bar pours a nice selection of cold beers, from pale ales to stouts." - Michelin Inspector

Everything we ordered was drowned in a layer of heavy sauce, it was difficult to eat... And the waitress poured my beer with a ton of foam. Not a great quality for the price point, service was just okay.

Google
Great spot in the OC right off the 405- chic and everyone was happy! Must try the corn bread. We made a meal of appetizers and salads - super fun and filling. Service was excellent. Hot spot for sure.

We had a pleasant experience at this establishment for a birthday celebration, and we would like to express our gratitude to our exceptional server, Sarah, for her remarkable assistance and cordial demeanor. We were delighted to be seated on the patio, which offered a delightful view. However, we regret to say that the culinary offerings did not fully align with our personal preferences. The Mama's casserole, in particular, lacked sufficient seasoning, and the chicken was excessively dry. Additionally, the steak, which was ordered medium-cooked, exhibited a chewy texture. We found that the overall flavors were somewhat lacking, although all the dishes were salty.

Google
Fun cocktails, extensive drink menu. Shareables: duck croquettes (very delicious and creamy), mama’s casserole (sumptuous), roasted Brussels sprouts (good) and the roasted game hen (juicy). All in all a satisfying work dinner. Would come again. Service was friendly and efficient.

Gordon Sturm

Google
Rustic, cooked with flame flavor. Service was very attentive and quality. The drinks were creative, strong, and tasted great. The server had excellent recommendations for our table based on peoples spirit choice. We shared mushrooms, broccolini, wedge and the tomahawk. The tomahawk was a little too fatty for the group, next time we’ll get the fillet to share.

Food was good but I find the servings small. On the pricier for me.

Amazing Eclectic Dining Experience. We've been going to ARC for years and it continues to impress. The cozy atmosphere with real wood ovens and grills are the anchor for a unique dining experience. Cast iron dishes cooked in the wood burning ovens never disappoint. Don't miss the best German Chocolate cake on planet earth. Beyond decadent.😋

I visited Arc Food & Libations on a Sunday funday adventure with my friends. We wanted to try something new and this place looked promising. Walking in, we were met with a dimly lit yet inviting atmosphere, the warmth of the fire oven adding a comforting touch.  We ordered a variety of dishes and drinks to share. The menu sounded exciting, so we dove in. The Duck Tacos arrived first, looking tempting with their vibrant colors. Sadly, the "okie at best" description sums it up well. The portion was tiny, not justifying the price tag, and the overall flavor lacked punch. The Glazed Seabass came next, and while cooked well, the overwhelming tomato flavor overshadowed the delicate fish. It felt unbalanced, leaving us wanting more from the dish. Lastly, the Crab Cake. Packed with generous chunks of crab, it delivered on both taste and texture. It was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, with generous chunks of crab meat. It was served with a tangy and creamy sauce that complemented the crab well. The IPA beer was also very good. It was refreshing and hoppy, and had a nice balance of bitterness and sweetness. Overall, Arc offered a cool vibe and friendly service. However, the food fell short of expectations, especially considering the price point. The small portions and unbalanced flavors left us feeling like something was missing. While the Crab Cake and IPA were definite highlights, the rest needs some refinement to truly shine.

Yelp
We get the same thing every time. Food is constantly amazing. Service is hit or miss. Tonight not-so-great service but atmosphere and food were outstanding so still worth going. For what it's worth, service at The Guild in the back is always way better, it's the same menu and even better vibe than the main dining room)

Yelp
I think this is a fun place to try some interesting, very delicious food, but it is hard to give this place four stars because if someone asked me if i would come here again, I would be on the fence, because I am not convinced this place is worth what you spend. Everything here is more like tapas-style and extremely small portions. I had expected that. What I didn't expect is the pricing: the two dollar sign is definitely not right for the pricing. This is more of a four dollar sign place: be prepared spend at least $100 a person because the portions are extremely tiny, even for tapas. For example, the $32 sea bass we ordered was "sharable" but it was so tiny it was only worth four bites: I don't know if it was even 2oz of fish: 2 may be pushing it, but I've attached a photo for reference. That being said though, the fish was delicious: the fish was light, flavorful and reminded me of a tomato vineyard with fresh, herbal flavors and the succotash paired so well with it. We also had cornbread which was sweet and had a nice crust, duck fat potato's, and the ribeye, which was cooked so well with the fat perfectly rendered: it was a really nice steak and they cut it for us too so it was easier to share, which we appreciated. That being said, in all: i wish the pricing was a little better. At this price point, it is a "special occasion" spot, and I am just unsure if it is worth it given some other restaurants with a similar price point.

Catey L.

Yelp
AMAZING menu I love their ribeye steak and duck fat potatoes. They have a wood fire oven and everything is cooked to perfection. I don't like Corn bread and then I came here and tried theirs and WOW. they put maple syrup on it and a lime zest , 10/10 I take my parents here, I have date nights with my man, and I even come in on weekends for their speak easy guild club with my friends!!! The speak easy is so cute , private bar with a DJ fri/sat There is frito misto on the speak easy menu and it's by far one of my favorite dishes..crispy calamari and peppers The ambiance also is better than any other restaurant I've been to by far with the candle light vibe dark fun esc Found out the owner is the mayor or Newport so that's pretty cool too! Definitely a must try

Maritza S.

Yelp
Great drinks. The espresso martini was absolutely delicious. I would have one per day if I could. The food was tasty but next time I'll try the steak. The duck fat potatoes were a let down. They lacked flavor and salt and the sauce overwhelmed them. Great place and ambience for a date night.

Valerie T.

Yelp
The ambiance is romantic. Candles and very darkly lit. Decor is eclectic and very unique. The service is so friendly and polite. Food is over the top good! The burger is definitely enough for 2 or 3 people. The duck tacos were packed with meat. The meatballs were small but super hearty. We loved the german chocolate cake. Super moist and not too sweet. I highly recommend this restaurant as a unique and special place to go.

Nancy T.

Yelp
Cool and trendy speakeasy with eclectic decor inside. Unfortunately, I can't quite say the same for the patio, which is right up against the parking lot with a view of the nearby furniture store. Because we were seated outdoors, we didn't get quite the experience, but the food was still good. We shared a steak, which came with roasted potatoes. It cost around $100, but fed two of us well and we still had a bit leftover. We also tried the meatballs, which were unique - definitely not your average ones. They were mighty tasty, flavorful and infused with tons of garlic, which I personally loved. Overall, the food is pretty good, but not sure if it's worth trekking out here for, especially given how pricey it is. Nonetheless, this place might appeal to you if you appreciate unique ambiances and cocktails. I should note that we were overcharged for a much more expensive cocktail than we originally ordered, which negatively impacted our experience as well, considering the meal was already so expensive.

Armond L.

Yelp
The whole experience was a 10. Unexpected quality and presentation. Loved it. Drinks were professional created and worthy of the price tag which was reasonable in my opinion. The rib eye with mashed potatoes were perfectly balanced flavors and portions. I will definitely be revisiting this place.

Adam A.

Yelp
What an awesome place, I heard they were new and wanted to give it a try, super cozy dark ambiance, amazing decor, definitely a date spot. Food was delicious, we only ordered a few appetizers and they were all really good. Service was top notch, every employee check on us making sure we were doing good. We had reservations at 7:45 and but made it there by 7:00 and still got seated. Overall excellent experience and will definitely be back!

Kiki M.

Yelp
the lighting was very nice and dim, I enjoyed the mood. we ordered the buratta as an app and the multiple colored tomatoes gave it a lot of flavor, we also ordered the house pizza to share and it was absolutely delicious.service was quick and easy. we ate here before heading to a show and so we were on a tight schedule, would definitely recommend and go back to enjoy the dinner longer. drinks were great as well.

Cindy R.

Yelp
Differently not coming back for their food! The waitress was nice. However, wish she would've clarified the menu for us. We ordered their tomato burrata, crispy duck and glazed bass. Unfortunately, the only decent dish we enjoyed was their tomato burrata. The crispy duck is extremely misleading. It really needs to be reclassified as a croquette. The glazed bass was okay nothing to rave about. The ambience is great. They have a rustic ambience. Do not recommend and will not be returning.

Robert F.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite OC spots. The food is great, however the cocktails stand out most. Cool vibes, moody and a good date spot.

Tracy B.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night and asked to be seated in the speakeasy area even though we are sober people we wanted the atmosphere as we had heard there is live music. My friend is the real foodie so when she's impressed that's a good sign. We both loved the arugula salad. Fresh with just the right amount of dressing cheese and onion: we shared the meatballs and Brussel sprouts which we both enjoyed very much. I had the duck taco. That was good but my least favorite. Would come back when my temp sobriety is over to try their cocktails. The only notch on the one star is because when we called they said they had live music but it was really a live streaming of a dj. Other than that very good experience as the servers were very kind, fast and gave good recommendations.

Yelp
Went here before a concert at the Observatory. A legit random find and what a lovely discovery! We asked to sit in The Guild, which is the speak easy inside ARC. They serve the same food and drinks as the restaurant. The vibes here are intimate and the decor is regal. I loved every second of our experience here. Our bartender, JT, was very friendly and attentive and I love that there's limited seating to not overwhelm the single bartender in this section. We order a few things and it was mentioned that everything is good in a wood fire grill -- amazing! Salmon tartare -- yummy in my tummy; fries -- can't go wrong with it! It came with house made catsup and ranch. And the bruschetta pizza -- chefs kiss. Nothing was bad at all! Now, the drinks.. the drinks stole the show. Give JT a raise. We got a couple rounds of drinks First round Twain -- vanilla old fashioned, essentially. Well balanced. Perfection. Girlfriend -- this rotates daily; so this one was a bourbon martini. It has vanilla, cinnamon, pineapple citrus, and of course bourbon. What a lovely blend of flavors. This was so balanced. We loved it so much we asked JT for the recipe but he did not disclose haha we'll try and recreate it somehow but it won't be as good as how JT made it. Second Round Cigarettes and Coffee -- a play on a manhattan; again, a well balanced drink. A hint of smoke and of course coffee. Perfect. Girlfriend -- loved it so much, had to get it again Overall, we had an amazing experience here and wish we could have stayed longer. We are definitely coming back and bringing some friends!!! Thank you to JT for such amazing service and drinks. Cheers!

Yelp
We went to this restaurant with a large group, and had a mixed experience. This restaurant has a lovely ambiance, with a fire pit outside and dim lighting throughout. Drinks are pricey here, each one being about $20 and above, and I have had better tasting drinks elsewhere for a lower price. Food was a hit or miss. Excellent plates were the Texas chili and cornbread. This is a must! Rich short rib with a hot cornbread in a mini skillet was a crowd pleaser, although portions are very small for what you pay for. I would skip the Brussels sprouts next time, they were slightly undercooked and less seasoned than I would have liked. It was a busy night, and service was attentive - although they did make a lot of mistakes. They often brought out the same dish twice, thinking they had not brought it to the table earlier. They also tried bringing drinks we did not order to the table about three times, so there was a miscommunication in orders. Our bill was incorrectly listed and had about 50 dollars worth of food we didn't order - so check carefully! Upon realizing it, they quickly apologized and offered complementary items. They took accountability and above all, were very friendly and hospitable.

Nicole G.

Yelp
Amazing place! I lived the ambiance with all the Christmas decor. The cooks were singing and having a good time and Kate, our server was excellent! The drinks were all amazing and food was absolutely delicious. We got shishito peppers, chili relleno and steak. Also their Coffee and Cigarettes drink was awesome.

Kevin D.

Yelp
Excellent dinner with work associates, more of a tapas style restaurant, everything we have was delicious and the staff was excellent especially cause there was 20 of us and we can be "work". They also have a very cool speakeasy bar in the back!

Jana F.

Yelp
Food is great. We usually do tapas. A little pricey but they cook everything with fire so it's unique. I've come here about 5 times. Service is good too!

Teresa P.

Yelp
I really don't enjoy going out much anymore. I'm a pretty good home chef and 9 times out of 10 the food I get out falls short. Not here! My daughter made reservations for a special bd dinner and everything was perfect! I was BLOWN AWAY by the food and the service. Samantha F. Was our server and she was on it! Very friendly and kept everything moving along. She really added to our experience. The food was incredible. Often times when I eat out the food is under seasoned and bland. The chefs here are not afraid of bold flavors. In addition, the plating was gorgeous. I can't wait to go here again!!!!

Jenny C.

Yelp
We made a last minute decision to come here for dinner and drinks before a concert at The Observatory down the street. On our way to the restaurant, I called and added our name to the waitlist. I received a text message stating that our name had been successfully added, and we arrived within a half an hour. Upon arrival, the hostess did not great us. After a few minutes of awkwardly standing there, we were barely acknowledged before it was clear that our name was in fact not on the waitlist, despite the text I received. We were sorta shooed outside to wait for a table, and the hostess said she would be right out to take our drink order. She came outside multiple times to check on other guests, and never once glanced in our direction (it's a small patio) or took our drink order. After about twenty minutes, my husband walked inside to confirm with the hostess that our name was in fact added to the waitlist. It was obvious by the panicked look on her face that it was not, so they quickly said, we can get you seated now. They were unapologetic, short and a little rude. The food and our waitress (Sarah K) ended up being the best part of the evening. Sarah was kind, thoughtful and attentive. The food took some time but it was great. I honestly wish we would have had a better overall experience but that wasn't the case. I suggest making reservations in advance, and double-checking that they are valid.

Brenda H.

Yelp
I made a reservation a few days before online. We were seated promptly and our server was a tall brunette. She was very nice. We ordered several items all for sharing which is the style here: to share. We ordered the short rib pizza, fries, brussels, calamari (grilled not fried), steak with potatoes and crispy duck. The food came out quickly. Everything is server on a sizzling cast iron type so maybe not the best place for children. They have a large array of alcoholic drinks with cool names. I had a mocktail which was tropical (just okay to me) it was $11. The appetizers ranged from $13-16+. The mains were about $20-$40. The pizzas are around $20-$30. For 4 people, our bill was over $200. My favorites were the fries and the steak. Id skip the crispy duck. Brussels were food. Short rib pizza is okay not the best, could use more flavor. The calamari was good too, cooked well and not overcooked. Overall, good vibes and a great place for drinks and decent food.

Molly S.

Yelp
Great restaurant, definitely a good place for celebrations or groups and something most people could find something to enjoy. We had a reservation for right when they opened at 5pm for 5 people and got sat right away in a large booth by the bar where you could see the wood fired oven. The food is meant to be shared so order for the table. We ordered about 4 appetizers, one tomahawk and one vegetable entree side and that was more than enough for our party. They have a fun cocktail list, long wine list and some beer selections. My favorite was the bacon - it sounds super boring but it's next level. The tomahawk was ordered medium and was a little closer to medium rare so ask about the temperatures. The service was really nice and helpful!

Miriam M.

Yelp
We enjoy coming to Arc. It's very unique in that the cooking is done over an open fire. This time we enjoyed the Fried Chicken, The Chili and the Seared Calamari. All had great seasoning/flavor and the service was great

Laila S.

Yelp
Had SUCH a great experience here! I'm in town with my fiance so while he was away working I dropped in for a bite and some drinks. I rolled in and was offered the bar or a table, while I was debating the host also mentioned they have a speakeasy in the back and I'm sooo glad she did! I sat back there and the bartenders were awesome! Had great recs and really knowledgeable about the menu. Food was great, drinks were INSANE. Not only did the drinks taste great but were strong which is appreciated... especially in this economy lmaooo WHOEVER WAS ON THE AUXXXXXX!! The music selection was honestly my favorite thing about the whole experience. Banger after banger, it was such a vibe. Definitely drop in. I will be back!!

Cin Z.

Yelp
Finally get a chance to come here with my husband for a date night. Food was excellent, we ordered grilled steak and shrimps. I just wish the portions were bigger for the price. Scott was our bartender, his drink was really good and great services. The host was not that nice, she seems very annoyed. It's a great hang out place or a date night. The patio is very nice. We will come back again and will try other foods.

Tannaz G.

Yelp
The most delicious food here ! Loved it the grilled steak dish with potatoes and cream and their Cabernet red wine is good too ! Highly recommend and coming back for this

Vanessa C.

Yelp
Second time coming here and it's even better than the first time . Each dish was so flavorful and the dishes were the perfect size. We left so full , that we had leftovers! Here are all my favorite dishes: - cornbread - meatballs - filet mignon - carrot cake My favorite drink is the snozzberry, if you like something sweet. Service was amazing . Ambiance was great, loved the music the DJ was playing . Great vibes! Would come back.

Lani N.

Yelp
It feels like we ordered the entire menu so you don't have to. There were a few hits and no significant misses. Ratings below: Shrooms 5/5 (I still think about these amazing mushrooms) Calamari 5/5 Asparagus 5/5 Ribeye 3/5 French fries 4/5 (the white sauce is very dill-y) Bacon 5/5 Cornbread 5/5 (the table loved it) Brussels 4/5 Duck Taco 4/5 Shrimp 4/5

Rofelina M.

Yelp
Food is delish, love the bruschetta. Best bruschetta I ever had. The steak is delish and cooked to perfection. The German chocolate cake is yummy. Service is fast, they took our order right away. Ambiance is like you're transported in an industrial place but I love it

Marisa Y.

Yelp
I celebrated my birthday here recently and had a really good time! My boyfriend had found this restaurant on Yelp and planned a dinner with our friends to surprise me. He shared that it was a struggle to get reservations with this restaurant and it took about a week and a half of emailing and calling the restaurant. We had a large party of 9 so he wanted to make sure that we were able to get a table reserved. The only tables they had available for large groups were outdoors. Even though it was a bit chilly, the restaurant provided space heaters for us. We ordered lots of drinks, 2 appetizers and 2 tomahawks. The tomahawks were able to comfortably feed 9 people and it was more than enough food. The steak was very delicious and the duck fat potato's complimented the meat really well. Overall, it was a nice way to celebrate my birthday. I would save this spot for celebrating special occasions since the food is on the pricier side.

Maddie M.

Yelp
Delicious menu made to SHARE! We had the Brussels sprouts for starters, chopped salad, and the salmon. All were excellent and prepared to perfection. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. I have a gluten allergy and he was able to make recommendations based upon that allergy. The interior is beautiful, dark, and expansive. There is a fun 2nd bar in the back of the restaurant with limited seating in funky green chairs - I recommend requesting this area as you have a beautiful view of the bartender at work and privacy for your meal!

Daw M.

Yelp
Service was terrible Food was mediocre. Asked for medium rare and the outside was incredibly dry. Had to cut off the outside portions and just eat the inner part of the steak. Very affordable wine by the bottle list And a very limited dessert menu Thanks!

Joy B.

Yelp
It's actually a 4.5 and I'll tell you why... This place is a hidden gem, kind off the grid and uniquely located in little business park. Which is so intriguing because once you enter, you feel like you've just stepped into an LA speakeasy. The place is moody and sexy, so if you need light to read the menu, get your cell light on! Their cocktail menu is meticulously curated with fun and unique choices. Our waitress was so knowledgeable and gave us such wonderful recommendations but none of which felt like an up-sell. Really appreciated ghat! Here's my one gripe, and it's a personal thing for me. If I'm calling a unique restaurant to make a reservation and then I indicate it's for a special occasion but then I'm seated in the worst possible section... and the restaurant is seemingly empty... it's a turn off. The service and quality of the food didn't suffer because of it, which is why ultimately it's a 4.5.

Aisha B.

Yelp
The food and ambience was excellent. The service was not. Our waitress (short-haired brunette) was very slow and inattentive. I had to have other staff ask for her twice. She dropped food off no eye contact no asking if we liked it or needed anything. This was a slow evening so it's not like she was busy waiting too many tables. When I went to bathroom I saw her gossiping with other staff instead of working. What a shame because this place is otherwise lovely. The game hen and burger were beautifully cooked and plated

Marianne L.

Yelp
The ambiance was nice, I liked the decor and the fact that it was dark and intimate. The food was good, we got gruyere pizza, burrata salad and ribs. All was of good quality and portions were fine. The service was not great, in my opinion. Staff is very young and somewhat arrogant (high school kids/college kids) and need to be trained better, especially for a restaurant wanting to survive in OC. We had a reservation, but when we arrived (on a Thursday) we were offered a place by the bar, and when we did not agree to it, the two of us were sat at a huge 8 people table. So much for reservation for 2. The second (although more minor detail) was music. If you are going for a speakeasy vibe - the music should not interrupt your conversation.

Ann N.

Yelp
The ribs were definitely the best thing I had that night and was fall off the bone tender. The brussel sprouts and meatballs were a little on the salty side. Service was quick and everyone was very polite. Everything was served tapas style so perfect if you want to try a variety of things.

Katherine S.

Yelp
Located in the SOCO mix, this place is on the very corner of the plaza. The standout dish was the cornbread- everyone in my party was in awe of how delicious it was! Perfectly flavored and sweet on the top.. can't explain it, just trust me- it's a must order. The rest of the dishes in my opinion were okay. Nothing bad, but nothing amazing either. Aside from the cornbread, my party also tried the glazed bass, meatballs, calamari, and charred Brussels. I didn't get any cocktails this time, but their menu had some pretty tasty sounding drinks. The service was great- no complaints there. All in all, my experience was average. I'm not opposed to coming back, but not counting down the days either.

Glenda H.

Yelp
Although a bit pricey for my taste, from the drinks to the entree, it was delicious. The service was great also.

Thao T.

Yelp
The food here is good. The tomahawk seems like a good deal compared to other spots as it comes with asparagus and duck fat potatoes. Considering the prices, we wish the service was a bit better. Note that the restaurant is pretty dark inside. The only big source of light is the fire pit in the middle

Nancy G.

Yelp
Incredible atmosphere, craft cocktail, inventive cuisine. Has a cool speak easy vibe. Food was amazing and of course friendly and attentive staff.

Yassi G.

Yelp
This place had a really cool dark ambiance to it. Semi fancy, semi goth, but cozy at the same time. Food was amazing. The salmon was my favorite. The cake was ridiculous. Cornbread not pictured but it was the perfect balance between moist and crisp and buttery. Kind of addicting actually, just wanted more and more. Drinks were fresh and delicious I had the snozberry and the Bertha. Good service as well. Pricey but worth the experience and fairly good portions.

Tata B.

Yelp
Arc is such a hidden gem. Love the vibe!! Kate the hostess is amazing!!! Came around and checked on us and got us such a great seat. JT made awesome drinks and service was impeccable. And as usual, the food is always amazing. If you want a good steak you come here!!!

Parrisa Y.

Yelp
The service was good, but the food was incredible. My man got the "coffee and cigarettes" drink, and really liked it. I am not a super adventurous eater, so this was a challenge for me but I just went with it, and I don't regret it! We got the fried olives...they were SO good. And I'm not really an olive fan. But we finished all of it. Fries, were fries. The shishito peppers were super good, but wished they were a bit spicier. Then we got the ribeye....i have never had a steak cooked to this kind of perfection. It was seared on top, and perfectly cooked on the inside. The asparagus was delicious as well. The potatoes...usually I love potatoes. But they used duck oil and that's not something I would normally dabble in. It was good for a few bites but then I couldn't get the idea of it being duck from my head, and I didn't eat much more of it, Oh, and the corn bread! WOW. My favorite. It was topped with maple and it was hands down, the best corn bread I have ever had in my life.

Brenda D.

Yelp
TLDR; I'm a fan, I'd recommend it if you're in the area Context - I've dined in solo, with a friend, and with a group. Food I'd order again - Duck taco Skip - the fries, the potatoes, the Brussels sprouts Ambiance & Staff - Great ambiance, when I've come here alone I ate & drank at the guild since it's much a more intimate area. The restaurant itself has a great ambiance and makes for an upscale place to catch up with friends or go on a nicer date. Wait Time - 5-10 minutes

Nick K.

Yelp
Good pregame spot for The Observatory concerts. We got dinner here on Saturday evening since it was a 2 minute Uber from the Observatory. Got 2 duck tacos and some drinks. Overall, food was great! Service was a kinda mid. The waitstaff was nice. I think they were just really busy and understaffed. Took about 15 minutes til the waiter took our order. Also took about 15 minutes to get us the check after asking. Ambiance gives romantic date vibes. Parking - free, plentiful parking.

Julia Z.

Yelp
Fantastic establishment. We got an off-menu gin drink (which my partner enjoyed very much) and learned they make their own bitters. We asked the server for input when we were stuck between a couple items (and that was often, because everything sounded and smelled so appetizing). His recommendations were excellent! Seared calamari, duck leg - and we already knew we were getting the meatballs! I tried a new red wine (also on recommendation) that went quite well with the duck and black lentils. Warm, lively atmosphere, especially at the bar with a view straight into the wood-fired oven! We're coming back as many times as it takes the taste the whole menu- and hopefully more after that.

Yelp
Was looking for a casual date night spot on a Saturday and this place did not disappoint. Has plenty of parking & located in a food/shopping plaza. This restaurant is very spacious with plenty of outside and indoor seating. Upon entering, there were big groups dining here as well. We did not have a reservation but were seated very quickly. The host took us to the back area and it was like a speakeasy. The area had its own bar, patio, and was very intimate with live singing! We started off with cocktails and ordered 3 dishes. Everything was very tasty and good portioned for its price. We enjoyed every second of time here especially with the beautiful live-singing and attentive service. The baby back ribs came with the best citrusy-fresh coleslaw I've ever had. Would definitely come back here with small & big groups.

Yelp
We've been here many times before and we always order the wedge salad and we were shorted on the bacon this time and we had the carrot cake for the first time but it's not carrot cake it's spice cake. Why don't you get your carrot cake from Susie cakes two doors down and then it would really be a carrot cake and not a spice cake like we're at Thanksgiving dinner.

Yelp
I always enjoy coming to Arc and being a Costa Mesa resident, I have been a regular patron for many years. We took an out of town guest for his birthday and when we checked in we mentioned it was his birthday. The girl at front said we don't do anything for birthdays. And I said aww that's sad with a smile. She retorted back snidely, "were not that kind of restaurant". I almost said what kind of restaurant are you? A restaurant that doesn't care if people are celebrating a special occasion. A restaurant that doesn't care about excellence in customer service. We are not asking for a measly scoop of ice cream, but I was so surprised at her answer that I'm writing about this in Yelp. The food is good, the drinks are delicious but, this is not a cheap dinner for 3 people we spent almost $500. I think because this place is successful that they are no longer sensitive to making people feel special. It's OK to have a policy on birthdays, but there should be a better way of handling this question than snidely remarking, "we're not that kind of restaurant".

Yelp
Arrived at the restaurant at 5:25 today for my 5:30 reservation. The restaurant was completely empty and the hostess had the nerve to offer me an uncomfortable table in the corner. I requested a different table, but she had the audacity to claim that all tables were taken. Seriously? The place was completely empty! So disappointed she didn't even attempt to accommodate us even after expressing we would eat and leave in 45 minutes. I also checked open table after leaving to check if standard tables were available and they were. I ended up leaving with my customer completely embarrassed.
