The rooms have a good amount of soundproofing. While in the lobby, you wouldn't even know you were in NYC because it's nice a quiet inside. The rooms are upkept and clean. The customer service was nice too. They don't have valet parking, but the parking garage they use is just a 3 min walk away, and they give a validation discount if you leave your car there. The location is awesome. It's a great central location to most of what you want to do in NYC. The room we stayed in was a 2 bed room, and was a little smaller than usual, but in NYC space is at a premium, and it was very comfortable and quiet. And for the price, it was definitely worth saving $200-$300 a night for 20sq feet less space. I will definitely come again.

Google
Lovely hotel. Spotlessly clean. Staff extremely friendly. Rooms are small but have everything you need. Lovely bathroom. Nice toiletries. We had a great view of the Empire State Building.|Would definitely recommend. |Central to most things.

Google
I will be a broken record but the hotel is wonderful. Great location, staff from the front desk to the bar service everyone was super friendly and professional. The rooms are comfortable and the bedding is great. Love the robe and slippers and the little extras. The rooftop bar has great views and again service was spot on. There is no on property gym but you have a pass the NY Athletic Club. Would definitely highly recommend and would stay here again.

Google
I booked here for a business trip in Manhattan. The entrance is pretty awesome, and all of the staff were really nice and respectful. I got a really nice view facing the Empire State bldg. The rooftop Spyglass bar was cool and is a great spot for a beer after work. I didn't get a chance to try the restaurant downstairs. The rooms were very fresh and clean. It was a cozy stay, and I would definitely go here again when I am in NYC!

We love the Archer Hotel and stay here every time. Warm and welcoming staff. Super comfortable beds and rooms. Convenient to all public transportation (esp. Penn Station!). From here we could easily travel to Brooklyn and Queens, all over Manhattan via subway, taxi or ride-share.

Google
Fantastic hotel, book it.||I stayed with my sister in a double double with empire view. I wouldn’t have even considered the room ‘small’ by most standards. The ceilings must be 16ft+ so you feel entirely comfortable. Comfy beds, space underneath for luggage. The room misses drawers but I live out of my case anyway. Huge floor to ceiling windows, lots of sockets included USB and USB-C, bathroom well appointed, mini fridge with two doors on it to fill yourself - you can’t really fault the room at all. My sister who hasn’t experienced much luxury was in love with it.||Front desk, security and other staff were friendly at every opportunity in our 5 night stay. Security vigilant on entrants given they have a public rooftop bar which was nice to see. We didn’t use the ground floor bar area but checked it out - big screens with sports, well decorated, peaceful.||We never waited more than 20 seconds for a lift.||The rooftop bar is beautiful. We grabbed a table and went to the bar ourselves but someone did come round to take orders (and may well have seated us)! Great view (better than 230 Fifth), good drink selection, nice ambience, must visit.||Location - W 38th, a few minutes walk to 42nd St at Bryant Park tube station near Times Square which basically took us anywhere in Manhattan, it’s also a nice little oasis in the city with various bakery options (try Ole & Steen) and you can sit in the park for breakfast. Coming out of the hotel there is a CVS at the end of the block which is useful. Probably 8 mins walk to Times Sq, but not close enough that you feel the chaos. It’s just off 5th Ave so everywhere becomes accessible quickly. We did everything you could name and did it comfortably from the Archer.||Will stay here again.

Google
We stayed Labor Day weekend. Our room was just the right size and the staff was great. The location made it very easy to get anywhere we wanted to be via bus or subway. Housekeeping was on point and the employees at the front desk greeted us every time we were in or out. We especially enjoyed the rooftop bar with spectacular views of the Empire State Building. Would definitely stay again.

Google
What an amazing hotel experience with a warm welcome from Jackie and her Archer Hotel team. We felt spoilt to enjoy the stunning double room on the 15th floor with views out to the Empire State building. The beds were heavenly and loved the big bathroom. The rooftop bar was a real treat at sunset. Loved the everyday special touches from this comfortable midtown Manhattan location. Extra thanks to Sebastian, who came to our rescue and to our travel agent Megan Wolf at Travel Associates for arranging this diamond in New York. Highly recommended.

Yelp
I had a really great experience staying here for a weekend trip. The location is great--right in the heart of midtown, the prices are quite reasonable, the hotel itself is clean and new, and the staff are all very nice and helpful. They have complimentary bottled waters in the room, complimentary coffee pods in the room, complimentary brewed coffee/tea and a water dispenser in the lobby, and also if you book directly you get a credit you can spend at one of the restaurants or bars at the hotel. I also visited the rooftop bar and absolutely loved the views! The drink I had was delicious as well. The only complaint I have is that I thought the walls were paper thin. I was in a corner room which was actually one that could connect with the room next door, so maybe that made it worse. I could hear people at the elevator down the hall late at night, I could hear the people in the room next door very clearly (I even heard one of them fart haha). It was a bit annoying, but nothing super disruptive. Just not great sound insulation, at least in my experience. Would I stay here again? Absolutely! For the location, price, cleanliness, service, and experience in general, I'm not sure I'd book anywhere else unless I specifically wanted to stay in a different neighborhood for some reason.

Yelp
3 1/2 stars Stayed here in the summer for 4 nights. PROS: The staff was always friendly and helpful. Lots of room to sit and chill or eat in their lobby. Quick and efficient elevators. Our room was kept clean. If we were still in the room when housekeeping came by in the morning, we just let the front desk know when we left that we would like our room cleaned. We were on the 9th floor and could see the top of the Empire State Building Great location - we could walk to a lot and also hop on a nearby bus. I appreciated that we could leave our suitcases and carry-on bags (for free) with the hotel after we checked out. Liked that we could watch Netflix in our downtime! CONS: The Nespresso coffee machine did not work, and the shampoo bottle in the shower did not work. Also, where the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were attached the wall on the shower was too high and the body wash squirted in my eye. There was only 1 tiny trash can in the bathroom, and none in the room. When the air conditioning was on, it was loud and freezing. When the air conditioning was not on, the air it was blowing was super humid. The pillows were not comfortable.

Yelp
This is a gorgeous hotel! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. They made my stay that more special. Check in was at 3pm and because it's not a big hotel, my room wasn't ready any earlier but they will hold your luggage to tour the area. It's very close to Bryant Park and Times Square, less than 10 minutes. There's a rooftop bar that I dinned during breakfast and the food was excellent! The room I got had the view of the Empire State Building and it was beautiful to see the lights change colors at night. I had a King size bed and it was pretty comfortable but the pillows were horrible! We had to ask for another pillow but it didn't help. So BYOP- Bring Your Own Pillow!! The bathroom was clean and spacious, just as big as the room itself. There's the usual soap but they had full size shampoo and conditioner in the shower. Smells so good too. Like area hotels in the city, the room is small so don't be surprised but the convenience to everything, cleanliness, the staff, the hotel 's restaurant and the view of the Empire State Building makes this place worth the stay.

Yelp
Was here in May for my birthday last year (delayed review but they deserve one so here I finally am). The location was fantastic. Close to several great restaurants and around the corner but far away to be quiet from all the hustle and bustle. The room was terrific and the staff was amazing. They left a special surprise for my birthday that left a lasting impression. I will only stay here when I return to NY. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Nik H.

Yelp
Great hotel Love the location, the hotel rooms are fantastic. Great bathroom versus a typical closet. Tastefully decorated throughout. Great roof top bar as well Service is the name of the game here. The staff is amazing and cater to all of your needs We had a marvelous time and will definitely stay here again as the staff and the value were great

Jaime A.

Yelp
Our stay was absolutely superb! We LOVED this hotel and have made it one of our very short list of MUST STAYS in the NYC! Perfect for those coming from the LIRR!

Yelp
I stayed here for 9 days. Location is really excellent, and the views of the Empire State Building are beautiful but the rooms are not very clean. I found dirt and crumbs caked around the edges of the room. The bedding is very odd. They don't use fitted sheets, so the sheets come untucked each night. There is only a comforter, so in the colder months it gets really cold, and if you have to use the air - it's extremely loud!! I ended up keeping it off the whole time because of how loud it is. There is also little to no storage and no microwave. All of the plugs in the room are loose and it's nearly impossible to charge your phone or anything else you need to plug in. The only storage is a small closet and a tiny drawer by the bedside table. I am very thankful for the safe in the room - but sadly I couldn't lock everything in the safe because someone from housekeeping STOLE something out of my room. The hotel management and front desk were very kind and paid me for the stolen item - but I hope they take this seriously because it was not lost in the room and it was 100% stolen. Very sad ending to a great trip. Will not be staying here again.

Kimberly T.

Yelp
This hotel was fantastic. I have stayed in a lot of mid town hotels and this was the best! The staff was incredibly nice and the room was spotless. Daily cleaning and treats were amazing. I needed a microwave for leftovers and they brought one to my room. My son and I had an excellent stay.

Yelp
To be in a room at the Archer is to be forever squeezing yourself past. You are skooching and crab-like, with your toes turned sideways. Google says a king size bed measures 76"x80". I say a room at the Archer measures 78"x82" inches. There's good stuff: Very clean. Very pretty. Very modern. Thoughtful amenities. And the front desk and housekeeping staff were outstanding. It's a pretty little 1/16th model of a nice hotel. There's only so many stars a place can earn when the room is uncomfortably cramped. There's no place to put your clean clothes. No place to put your dirty clothes. No place to leave your shoes. No place to set your shopping bag. Two people cannot be standing at once. If one person is up and moving around the other must lay on the bed to get out of the way. The average midtown parking space is roomier than the room. You haven't bought a room - you've bought a no-room. Derek Zoolander built the Archer. The Archer is a hotel for ants.

Courtney W.

Yelp
THE WORST FOR YOUR $ - I get that when you are in NYC, as I have been innumerable times, that your hotel room is a place to sleep and, largely, not hang. But at this hotel, you are NOT ALLOWED TO SLEEP past 7:45-8AM as the cleaning crew is SLAMMING DOORS REPEATEDLY...REPEATEDLY...REPEATEDLY...like every few seconds for hours in the AM. EVERY DOOR on that floor could be closed quietly, we tested this, so WTF? I have stayed at 5 star hotels, like The Carlyle in NYC, chose this Archer hotel as I was traveling with my kids and wanted to save $, stayed at dives, and even at a Motel 6, I never had such an obnoxious and LOUD cleaning crew. Plus the rooms are literally a bed with no room to move - shoebox hotel rooms. My husband and I could not walk past each other without turning sideways. I was told that my breakfast would be comp'd because of the loud and inconsiderate cleaning service in the morning, but when we checked out, the breakfast was on the bill and we had to remind them that this was supposed to be comp'd. All in all, such a DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE - there are much better hotels with much better service than this place. Not awful, but I will never book a room there again.

Yelp
Had a good two-night stay here in November 2021. The rooms are tiny, even by NYC standards, but very well-appointed. I highly recommend paying the few extra bucks for an Empire State view room. I could lie in bed and look out at that world-renowned landmark and I really liked the soaring ceilings and the brick accent wall that come with that room class. The bed was very comfortable and the mini-fridge is empty so you can stock it with your own stuff. The bathroom is actually big enough to move around in with a decent-sized shower, considering the overall coziness of the room in general. Staff were all very pleasant and the rooftop lounge is a cool setting with a great view. I also liked the little lobby lounge, which is open in the evening. The full-service restaurant has still not re-opened but there are plenty of options in the immediate area if you need more of a nosh than the nibbles menu at the bars. Elevators were fast and there was never a wait. It's just a few blocks south of where I usually stay and not quite as handy to subway options, but still a very worthy choice.

Sam C.

Yelp
First of all, the rooms are small, which is perfect if you're traveling solo. If you're staying as a couple, you'll love it as long as you both don't mind sharing small spaces. Think private hostel room with huge private ensuite, except comfortable and luxurious. I especially liked the full-size shower products; I disliked the non-dimmable bathroom lighting. My room was in kind of a lousy location next to the elevator; on the other hand, they had a room ready for me when I arrived several hours early. The trade off was honestly worth being able to settle in right away. Well-appointed, safe and spacious entryway & lobby with patio seating. Matto coffee a couple of doors down if you don't want to spring for the expensive on-site hotel restaurant & bar. Located within quick walking distance of subway, Bryant Park, Times Square, this hotel makes for a great jumping off point for your stay in NYC. Finally, staff were a class-act every step of the way. Seriously, everyone was so friendly and professional. I'd definitely stay here again.

AL K.

Yelp
Business and services has definitely scaled down during covid times. There are no more breakfast dining, however they have complimentary coffee, tea and choices of pastries. The rooms no longer have the mini bar option as well. Same service, housekeeping and turn down available upon request. Still great value when in the city

Abbas B.

Yelp
Had a great stay in this hotel. The room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was a good size also. The best part of the hotel was the front staff. They were very friendly and helpful. They really wanted to make it a great stay. They have a deal with the parking garage near by where you pay half the price. They have complimentary coffee and teas in the morning. The location of the hotel is great. It is very close to the Empire State Building. We had no problems walking to all parts of the city. Great quality hotel and worth the price. We would stay here again!!!

Mary-Jane A.

Yelp
We loved this hotel! Location is everything and it was walking distance to all the main attractions. The staff were very friendly and so helpful. The room we had was small but had everything we needed, made use of all available space and the bed was so comfortable. We were next to the elevator (501), which we were concerned about at first, but it was very quiet at night and we couldn't hear any traffic or noise outside of our door. The bathroom was lovely and had detailed tiling which was a very nice touch. Would stay here again if we ever came back to New York.

Customer B.

Yelp
The hotel staff are extremely friendly, efficient and responsive. When we told them a few hours after our arrival that our room was still 85'F, they sent maintenance (arrived 30 min later) who immediately determined that the AC system was frozen (see photos attached). They moved us to a new room. The rooms are small, but this is what you would expect in NYC. Everything is very clean. The room was quiet. They gave us a written apology, and a certificate for two for a drink at their rooftop bar. We deducted a star because they should have checked the room before we arrived to insure that it was satisfactory. Also, they also gave us a room that had a bathroom with a drain in the middle of the floor and absence of a vanity on which to place things (both the original and the room to which we had to be moved due to the AC malfunction). It had an industrial type feel to it. The the window was blocked by scaffolding (see photo), on the 2nd floor. It was very dark in the room (we needed lights on during the day), and the room lighting is dim. Overall, we would try this hotel again because it was clean and the staff was so friendly and helpful, if we needed to be midtown, but we would request to be given a room that does not end in -10 (with the "industrial" bathroom type feel) and a window that lets through some light.

Robert W.

Yelp
Great experience, staff was friendly and attentive. Room was small, we're in New York, very nicely appointed. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. went to rooftop bar, great view and ate breakfast in the lobby restaurant, very good. All in all a great stay

Diana M.

Yelp
Incredible staff, great room, beautiful view, and personal attention to a very minor problem. I rarely stay anywhere twice but will absolutely put this back on this list for future visits.

Rhiannon W.

Yelp
Great hotel Great service, so clean, everyone is extremely nice and helpful. Rooms are small, but the most comfortable. The beds are amazing! We thought it was strange that the bar was closed on a Saturday night by 11pm, but the door man sent us to a great spot across the street. I would definitely stay here again! LOVED!!

Nick R.

Yelp
Really underwhelming experience. The room was nice, although very small but we did not have a problem with that. It's a great location and is on a quiet side street so you can get plenty of rest. The customer service however is really poor. When you come in and out of the hotel, the staff do not make any effort to be kind or welcoming. This is a 4* boutique hotel so you would expect that. One employee, in particular, Stacie was extremely rude when we tried to ask for a noon checkout. She first said they don't have the ability to do so because housekeeping has to clean the rooms, but then when I went to the lobby she said she could extend it for $50. How does that make any sense? I have travelled all over and never had any issues with getting a 12pm checkout - its not like I asked for a few extra hours

LaKesha S.

Yelp
Excellent hotel!!! The room was very clean, the service was great, and I enjoyed eating at Spyglass.

Kim D.

Yelp
Ok so the service was INCREDIBLE! Everyone greeted me perfectly! Can't say enough-smiles and accommodating- so no fault to the staff. However they offered parking on Expedia. When I got there they are like oh it's a block and a u turn away at this garage and I get there and they charged me $75 for one night! Then had to walk back to hotel in the dark after a long ride- not fun. They should have disclosed this. Also I have an ESA DOG, they wanted to charge me $250 non refundable - no way Jose! The room was tiny but comfortable! Sorry to say I don't think I would come back.

Tesh P.

Yelp
We stayed at the Archer Hotel in New York for four days and had a good enough experience there. The room size is what you would expect in Manhattan and it was clean and well appointed. The only complaint I have is that housekeeping attempted to clean the room at 4:30pm one day, after we arrived back. The next day they cleaned the room but did not refresh the towels, and the bath soap dispenser was empty during our whole stay. I would not say there was anything outstanding with this hotel. The main reason to stay at the Archer would be the location.

Vicky S.

Yelp
Stayed here during Christmas 2022. This was our first time in New York. It was my wife, myself, and our 12 year old Granddaughter. The room was nice, the view was great. The staff weren't very welcoming or helpful. The Christmas vibe was absent. Not many walkable options; strange for us because it's New York. Sadly, staying here took some of our enjoyment of Christmas in NYC away. Won't be back to this hotel. But lived New York!

Ava C.

Yelp
Fantastic and comfortable stay Ambiance was modern grown, and visually appealing Staff at Front desk were friendly and welcoming Staff at 1st floor restaurant was average Food at first floor restaurant was delicious. We had an omlete for breakfast and it was eye appealing and tasted great. Room small but well decorated and most importantly clean and all functions operating in good order. Bed super comfortable Rooftop view can't be beat. Will come again

Nick D.

Yelp
This boutique hotel totally lived up to my expectations. Our queen bedroom was nice and cozy, very quiet at night, super convenient location near Bryant Park and not far from Grand Central. We had breakfast at the bar, loved my smoked salmon eggs Benedict and the avocado toast. The rooftop bar was so nice and so were the cocktails with the skyline view. Definitely will stay here again on our next visit to NYC.

Fazil A.

Yelp
We had a great stay here at the Archer hotel in NYC. It's located in a great neighborhood that's pretty close to times square and other mid-town attractions. There is a loading zone in front of the hotel so if you have a car, they'll let you leave it out there while you check in. Right now during the pandemic, street parking availability is abnormally high so we Street-parked for 5 nights and only used a garage once. The rooms are pretty good sized for a NYC hotel. The bathrooms are very modern and sheik. The floors are heated as well, which I didn't think was a big deal at first, until my next hotel room didn't have them. It's also pretty quiet for NYC. The staff were always helpful and offer anything they can to make your stay great. I had the pleasure of having Gary & Jamal as well as Randy for a few of the days. We had some great convo and they helped out with a few food recommendations. This is probably the only hotel in NYC that I'd return to.

K D.

Yelp
For the location, service, comfort, and price, this is a great option. Convenient to Bryant Park, Times Square, midtown restaurants. The rooms are all updated. Mini fridge. Bar and restaurant downstairs. Nice bathroom with rainfall showers.

Brit B.

Yelp
I'm always so hesitant to try new hotels but we absolutely loved our short stay here! This will definitely be our new go to hotel in NYC. My husband booked our room and told them we would be in the city to shop for our wedding rings and they left us a beautiful champagne gift upon arrival!! I see the gifts are a lovely trend here and such a nice touch. Our room was very small but very nice and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious and beautiful! The bed was also one of the best beds I've ever slept on in a hotel! I will say the windows definitely need a good washing but other than that it was an exceptional stay. You absolutely must visit the rooftop bar and also the lobby restaurant! Both fantastic!

Native N.

Yelp
Hate. I hate this place. It's a strong word. I don't use it often. But this place succeeded in making my visit to New York substantially less enjoyable. I liken my room to a cross between a dorm room and a prison cell. The bed is almost inside the bathroom. They don't have fitted sheets so the sheets get all bunched up as you sleep. I think they have the AC set to NOT turn on while sleeping so they can save money. The office building next door is so close it's as if I'm sitting at their desk with them. There are very few amenities. I prefer not to stay somewhere that isn't as nice as my own home. I believe this place is not worth what I paid. $1700 for 4 nights? I cannot wait to get out of here.

Joseph S.

Yelp
We normally stay in the Villages or LES but since we were seeing "Bruce on Broadway" - a Midtown hotel within walking distance was a must. It's a very nice hotel, well staffed, with the typical smallish rooms. They have a lively rooftop bar but we enjoyed the lounge in the lobby. Damages with taxes were $286 for one night (during the week) and that was with TABLET membership. Parking was about 2 blocks away but the usual hefty $80 for less than 24 hours.

Jenna W.

Yelp
Awesome experience here. Had an Archer view room, in my reservation I noted we were visiting for my husbands 50th birthday and there was champagne waiting. (Which was unexpected; I only added the note hoping we'd get a nice room, which we did, 17th floor looking right at the Empire State Building.) We went to the roof bar where we were greeted by Daniel who gave us an awesome table. He also said since it was raining on/off we'd get priority to sit inside if the patio closed. Nice touch since the bar is so trendy/"instagrammable" with scores of guests showing up and just posing with their drinks and the view. Was nice to know if we all had to go inside that at staying at the hotel gave us a little priority. My only complaint about the hotel is that, like every NYC hotel where I've ever stayed, the rooms are small. That said, the woman who checked us in mentioned that there was storage under the bed so at least we knew to shove everything under there to keep whatever small floor space we had clear. Overall just such a nice hotel experience for a milestone night in Manhattan.

Jelli F.

Yelp
Amazing hotel, clean and nice midtown location. Very plush, stylish, and comfortable. The staff is fantastic too. Highly recommend.

Heidi M.

Yelp
We love Archer Hotels. This one was in a great location, walkable to everything we needed. We felt very safe. Comfortable beds, quiet and a bit spacious compared to other hotels we have stayed in NYC. My only complaint was that the rooftop deck was closed for a private party:( That was a bummer because we only stayed two nights and missed it both nights. They need to have at least an hour where guests can enjoy a drink on the rooftop there during a normal hour (5-10pm) or let you know when checking in. The Napa Archer we stayed at closed their rooftop deck due to smoke from fires when we were there, otherwise I would give 5 stars.

Felipe M.

Yelp
What a wonderful visit to New York. Archer is located in Midtown, walking distance to Times Square, Subways, Financial District, Garment District. From the time you step in you are greeted heartily by the staff, and made welcome at every turn. The lobby area, while small is very comfortable with a nice sitting area just outside the lobby, and in the adjacent bar. The check in process was fast and efficient, and the elevators move very quickly. The rooms are typical New York(small) but well appointed, desk, outlets throughout(who knew this was a bonus these days), iron, ironing board, safe, Nespresso machine and pods. Bathroom was tidy, with room to spread out your toiletries. There is a rooftop bar that requires reservations, but we they were able to accommodate us every time. The views from there were spectacular with the Empire State Building in the foreground. The restaurant just opened the week we arrived, and food and service were on par for a newly opened facility. They also have a complimentary coffee/tea/pastry service in the morning. Prices for the bar and restaurant are in line with most other New York hotels. My only downside was we had to ask for the Body Wash dispenser to be filled twice, which took two days to finally resolve, but they did have bar soap available. I cannot restate enough how great the staff were, and the location if you want to be near Midtown. Tip: Book through the hotel website as prices were cheaper than any other site.

Yelp
Great hotel, with great customer service! Room was a little small, but other than that, we had a great time! The location is great and the Rooftop Bar was awesome!

Yelp
Very friendly and hospitable Staff. The manager, Scott was the first to greet me with a warm smile, he went out of the way to accommodate dinner plans. At the rooftop bar, Elvis crafted cocktails while Aldo, Nikki, Asia & Daniels were very attentive! Looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
After calling the hotel and having to cancel our trip on the way to NYC, we spoke to the front desk to tell them we had to head back to our daughter's school for a possible active shooter. They stated "ok thanks for letting us know, no refund". So glad they were even slightly concerned that our daughter might have been shot, but I guess that is how they are. They have still never called back and obviously just wanted to take our money no matter what we were experiencing. Definitely won't stay there again.

Yelp
Sweetest boutique hotel on the block. We let them know it was a special occasion and they left very sweet message and caramels in the room. Very clean and they are strict with COVID regulations. mini fridge safe wine opener free WiFi Slippers and robe Clean Quiet Great location Nespresso machine in your room with decaf pods too Beautifully designed rooms Spacious bathroom and rain shower head No parking (they recommend a garage around $40 a night) Microwave is downstairs in the lobby No bell help / carry your own luggage up and down. Pros: Quiet. We were on the highest floor and you can still slightly hear the traffic honks and construction but overall was very quiet. You can open the window which is nice to get some fresh air here and there. Views. We opted for the Empire State Building view and you will not feel disappointed. You open the curtain and right there is the Empire State Building just staring back at you. Very cool. Sky bar: we reserved a seat for 1.5 hours at their top floor bar. Very expensive and not much to choose from on the menu, however the views will not disappoint. The staff is very friendly, fun and more than happy to take photos of you with the Empire State Building views. Location: CVS, time square, battery park, culture coffee (best coffee around town), Havana's and keens restaurant is all near by. In fact we walked to most places from here including Central Park. Great spot. Loading: You can load and unload right infront of the hotel. They will also hold your luggage for you after check out. Over all the staff is very friendly and helpful. Cons: The rooms are small. Of course most hotels in NY are small but this was... well small. Barely room to put a suitcase on the floor. The shower and bathroom area is a nice larger size so that helped. Pillows: just bring your own - these pillows are useless.

Yelp
The first time I stayed at Archer the customer service was SO AMAZING that I knew that I had to figure out how I could stay at Archer again. This was my second stay at the Archer Hotel. The location of Archer is just perfect. The "Spyglass" roof top bar is incredible (service was not as good this time around) with views of the Empire State Building. I was staying during Pride weekend and while I was enjoyed a froze, the Empire State Building lights were rainbow. If you book directly with the Archer on their website you receive a $20 voucher to use in the restaurant Charlie Palmer Steak or Spyglass. Thank you Archer for the complimentary cocktail. I've never had such a good night sleep, PERIOD.

Yelp
I had a GREAT stay at the Archer in NY! The location was great. Close to Times Square, 5th Ave shopping, and Herald Square. The staff, especially Scott, were very helpful. The hotel is very accommodating. If you need something, they will do whatever they can to help you. The room was very cute. It's a little on the smaller side, but there's under the bed storage. By far the best part was the view. We stayed in an Empire King room on the 19th floor. I will 100% be staying here on my next trip!

Yelp
Worst hotel experience in a very long time. Stayed 3 nights for business and they refused to move me into a room that was not terribly loud from the hvac system above it. When asked at the front desk the manager wouldn't even really speak to me about it. I will never stay at another archer hotel in my life. Back to Bonvoy. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN.

Yelp
My wife and I recently took a trip to NYC. We were looking for 5 star hotels initially near the time square area. We were not really excited about some of the reviews for the cheaper 5 star locations. So we dropped down to 4 star spots. We found this hotel which was rated 4.5 stars. This hotel had an excellent location for us as I my wife wanted to be neaer fifth avenue and wanted to be able to take the trains to World Trade Center, Brooklyn, Queens, and Chinatown and be able to walk to lower east side, KTOWN, and SOHO. It is located on 38th street between 6th and 5th avenue. It was easy enough to walk to the 34th or 42 street train stops. The hotel was very elegant. Charlie Palmer Steakhouse is located on the 1st floor. The staff was very friendly and more than accommodating. They were able to upgrade our room to a King size bed with a great view of the Empire State building. The room was very clean. They had flat screen cable tv with HBO. There is a Nesspresso maker in the room. There is a small stocked fridge and small snacks that could be charged for consumption. The bed and sheets were extremely comfortable. Robes and slippers were provided. We honestly did not use a lot of the ammenities of the hotel as we were always out. There is no gym at the hotel; however, better yet. They have an affiliation with NYC Sports club so I was able to work out everyday in one of their facilities. ON weekdays, I was able to go to their location across the 6th avenue but still on 38th street. On the weekends, I went to their better location on 36th and Madison. My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Archer and would likely come back during other trips to NYC. We had booked through a 3rd party website, but the staff stated if we book through Archer hotels that they would match the pricing and provide food credits to Charlie Palmers or I believe in room dining.

Yelp
:::::service::::: was generally exceptional! Everyone was welcoming, tried to accommodate any needs we had in a timely manner. Plus, when they clean your room, they leave a couple of local treats for ya! Sweeeet! However, we had a couple of small hiccups. First, only had our room cleaned a couple of times during our week long stay (by choice) and tucked our belongings into luggage and the armoire so none of it would be touched but, unfortunately, when they were cleaning they trashed a few personal items that were stored in the armoire -- it was our last day though and we were too exhausted to ask what happened. Secondly, there are a ridic amount of flashing/blinking/bright lights in the room that makes it hard to sleep. Fortunately, we MacGyver'd it so it worked out. :::::room::::: is small but clean w cute decor, none of that grimy old hotel to deal with. :::::location:::: was perfect. Easy access to a couple of subway stops, including Penn Station. I love going early and wandering around the underground shops heh I'd recommend and would likely stay again, esp knowing that we should come prepared w tape and extra paper to tape over all this blinks lights!

Yelp
CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I came to NYC for a business trip. Not to mention I travelled 6 hours and had to stop in BOS before getting there. It was 11pm when I checked in and I was welcomed with someone opening the door for me. And friendly service at the counter. While traveling for business, you may not remember everything or even forget a few small things. I had an early meeting the next day and forgot to print out my presentation. They did not have a communal printer but the manager himself offered multiple times to print my presentation for me. I'm glad he did because I killed the presentation! Just the little things counted most with me. I requested safety pins and they were able to get it for me. There was always someone opening the door or greeting me at the entrance or elevator. The best thing was I had forgot my $150 straightener when checked out. I called because I didn't want to buy a new one and they still had it! Not only did they ship back to me free of charge, but they packaged it so nicely and adding chocolates and treats!!! So cute !! I will always try and book at Archer Hotel because this customer service is top notch! Keep it up :)

Yelp
Hands down the best hotel service experience stay so far! I stayed there for 3 nights Previously from October 18-20 and I checked out on the 21st. Hotel is super clean and professional. They really do go the extra Mile to attend and satisfy all your needs when it comes to luggages to your hotel house keeping. I travel alone and me my experience for safe and comfortable. I asked him questions about where the nearest. Yummy steakhouse was and Art who was working behind the check in desk Answered all of my needs and help me get it free Wi-Fi password. The view from the room was totally amazing. I would recommend the stay anyone!
