Archer Hotel Old Town Alexandria

We had the most wonderful stay at The Archer in November celebrating our Anniversary. Everything from the beautiful room, to the extra amenities like cozy robes and slippers, to the extremely attentive staff was just perfection. We both agreed it's in our top 3 favorites stays, they have somehow created the the perfect balance charm and service we love in a top tier bed and breakfast with the luxury and convenience of very nice hotel. We absolutely loved our room with its beautiful tub and sweeping views from the bedroom and balcony but really any room would be great here. The courtyard is beautiful, the room off the lobby full of books was so cozy and during our stay they had set up a delicious cocoa and cider bar. We loved being able to take ours to go and walking the cute streets of old town with them. When we came back one of the receptionists asked about our room, and I mentioned the beautiful tub and she had a bath bomb delivered to the room! I really can't think of a way to improve this place. We are not Locals but would absolutely make the trip back to the area just to stay here again and enjoy The Archer and its great location! Had a great one night stay at the Archer Hotel. The room was spotless and updated. The Lather bathroom products were so good, will likely be ordering some to keep at home. The location to all things Old Town has to offer was perfect. Room was quiet, staff were pleasant and helpful. Had a delicious breakfast at Homegrown, located just off the lobby. I thought it was a great value and I'd definitely stay again if in the area.

From communicating with the very responsive and helpful Manager Isabelle prior to our stay, to interfacing with the friendly and very accommodating Front Desk Team, our stay was quite memorable. The beds and pillows were so comfortable (big thanks to Sofia for emailing me the vendor information) and our room was very clean. The location is great. The coffee in the morning was outstanding. We enjoyed our stay so much I am bringing my daughter and daughter-in-law there this weekend to celebrate their birthdays. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel. So much better than staying in the major chains (which I have to do too much for work). Thank you to the entire team!

Service is trending down. Was in town for a 5 day work trip. Light behind headboard in room was inoperable. Called maintenance to assist. Said they would be right up. And hour passed, never showed. I called and canceled the request because I needed to call it a night and get some rest. Before leaving the hotel for the day the next morning, I asked the front desk if they could have maintenance repair the light + have the room serviced while I was away. I came back to the room that evening. Room was not serviced but light was repaired. ||Bathroom shower soap holder was dirty within the crevices and the hardware to open shower door wasn’t clean. Returned the next day and there was a washcloth in the sink after room was serviced. One of the towels had hair on it. Lamp shade in room is falling off. Takes quite some time for heat to kick on which isn’t ideal in 20 degree weather. One of the elevators was inoperable. I requested an itemized receipt for one of my dinner orders and was told that they would bring it up..never happened. All in all, not the most pleasant stay. Feels like hotel is running down and service isn’t reliable.

We had a lovely two-night stay at the Archer, right at the edge of beautiful Old Town Alexandria -- thoroughly enjoyed it, from start to finish! Our room was really spacious, spotlessly clean and comfy. The bed was awesome, the bathroom modern and large. The view from the room was pretty; it looked out on King Street, where we could see twinkling lights on trees all down the street. |Special shout-out to the wonderful, helpful, knowledgeable people manning the front desk: Tyler, Sofia and Abby. We were so excited to arrive here, and their special treat for my daughter's 30th birthday was so sweet! Room was lovely, and the staff great. Issues with hot water in bathroom sink that didn't get fixed for 2 days, and continued maintenance in the hotel during out stay made the stay less than perfect. 8 hours with no water at all, and then maintenance noise on multiple days.

Cute quaint place in the heart of Alexandria. Clean, easy to park on the street. Great welcome gifts. They have complementary slippers. Right on a walkable street full of shops and eateries. Not too far from DC, the train station and everything else. Beautiful spot. This is my go to place when I come back to VA. Definitely will stay again. The homegrown restaurant on the bottom is a gem. Love it here.

Good food. Excellent service...staff from janitors to food and hospitality up the the front desk were so helpful! They made everything so easy/smooth to help the event i was djing/performing at go off without a hitch. It was more than worth the 3 and a half hour drive with my equipment to celebrate with family and friends. Thank you all from djshortefromphilly! 💪🙏💪

Huge thanks to Archer Hotel Alexandria (former Lorien Hotel) on King Street. This beloved restaurant / spa / hotel event space rolled out the red carpet for us as we celebrated our engagement. Brabo Tasting Room is now AKB, a hotel bar IN HISTORIC OLD TOWN ALEXANDRIA. We can't recommend enough the hospitality of Ollie and his team. Love Love Love

We enjoyed our recent stay at Archer Hotel. It's a super cute boutique style hotel right in Old Town. It's at the beginning of King st. so keep that in mind when planning your plans in Old Town. They definitely make you feel at home and special. We were celebrating a birthday so they made sure to provide the bday girl with a special robe and slippers! They also made up a cute little gift bag in the room. Very nice touch. The weekend we were there the Akb restaurant had their grand opening. It's located right across the courtyard at the hotel. Really good restaurant and bar! Everything was smooth and enjoyable during our stay. Only issue is parking. The most convenient option is the Valet which is $40 per night. They also had an elevator down, slight inconvenience, but nothing major. We will definitely be back for another weekend trip!

Stayed here for a long weekend in Old Town and have to say I will be staying here again when I make my way back. Everything was enjoyable. It's more of a boutiquey hotel feel which I enjoyed; nice room, clean is what I look for. Only drawback was getting bread and coffee in the morning; service was very slow and it wasn't even that busy.

Great service, rooms are comfy and clean. Would be much better if the televisions were smart tv and I'm not stuck watching cable tv. Also, very stingy with daily water.
