"This brewery specializes in brewing historic-style beer, cider, and mead, offering unique styles like Kottbusser, Scottish heather ale, and sahti. They also feature spontaneously fermented and dry-hopped ciders and mead. Don’t miss the Kvasir’s Kreed, a barrel-aged Viking mead made with local, raw honey and aged in Croze Nest light toast oak barrels. Pair a pint with bar staples or larger entrees. A bonus, dogs are also welcome in the spacious biergarten and guests can order their furry friend a burger (it’s just a hamburger patty) for $7." - Courtney Burk

I had a good time at Archival, the waitress was great, she answered the questions we had. Food was good. I had the dip flight that was really good it was a great start. I wasn't a fan of the Philly steak sandwich not recommended for the price. The sesame Tuna Pad Thai was surprisingly amazing. The bar was slow on making drinks, but the waitress covered for them. The live music was amazing.

Amber made our experience a 10/10! But…. We loved the food and the drinks too. The patio experience was divine. Looking out on a pollinator field and saw Monarch butterflies!!! It was so special. We had the Falafel burger and the French Dip which were wonderful. The truffle fries stole the show along with their house made ranch! Yum!!!! Can’t believe it took so long to check it out. Will be back!

We have been coming to Archival Brewing since they opened, for the gorgeous views outside and great food. Having cocktails is a game changer now! We had great service from Johnny B. Always recommend to people :) Got the Salmon Gyro, which was the perfect flavor combination.

Enjoyed a nice meal with friends on the lower patio where there was live music. Max K., our server, was very friendly right from the beginning. He quickly acknowledged us and got our beverage order. Later, he offered appetizer suggestions, as well as main dish suggestions. He continually checked in on us to see if we needed anything, and to check on our food/drinks. Max was very well spoken and polite. Overall, great atmosphere, beverages, food, and service. Would definitely return, with the hopes of having the same server.

We cannot say enough good things about Archival Brewing! In May, we hosted our baby shower there and it was nothing short of amazing. Our even coordinator, Miles, did an incredible job! He was present, accommodating, and always communicated well from the initial planning to the day of the event. The Archival staff were wonderful as well and the bartenders kept the taps flowing! We selected the BBQ bar and the food was fantastic, our guests raved about it! We would highly recommend hosting your event at Archival Brewing!!

Google
Ordered loaded potato puffs as an appetizer. They came tasting a bit burnt…. As for the dinner part, ordered the Archival burger and truffle fries. A bit pricey aa the bacon and cheese were add-ons…. Burger n Fries was delicious

Open, airy restaurant with lovely outdoor seating. They have good food and friendly service. The portions were generous.

Yelp
First time trying - great food. Did a great job with gluten free for my celiac mom. We did a drink flight - any 6 beverages in the flight. Dip flight for appetizers - YUMMMM I got the tuna, sister got the tacos & celiac mom was very excited to get gf fish & chips! Will be back! Parking super easy. Looks like there is a great outside area when it's nice out. Live music was setting up while we finished our meal. Table tent said they gave trivia nights too

Yelp
Hundreds of Hops 2024 Self-guided Tour Stop #29 A beautiful place with fabulous outdoor seating, good beer & staff that either hate their job, hate people, or both. Our 2nd worst stop to date. We came in as a party of 3 for beer only & were advised there would be a wait for a table. We again asked about just getting beer at the bar, as we could see 3 open stools. Staff seemed less than thrilled but told us to go ahead. It was busy & kept getting busier, leading us to expect great things to come. After getting seated, we adv the barkeep that we had 2 passports between us, and each passport holder would be getting 2 (each good for half off your first 2 beers), for a total of 4, so 2 tabs was fine, or however they needed to do it. They recommended we take 3 now & grab the 4th once one of us finished, so it wouldn't get warm, cool... They then proceeded to tell us at the end that we couldn't each redeem our discount, as they only allowed one discount per party. They would not run it as 2 bills and offered to stamp both passports anyway. As the stamp is to acknowledge use of the discount, they were willing to mark it as used to prevent redemption in the future but not redeem it - not cool. We explained that we notified them in advance but didn't continue to insist- we just paid and left without allowing them to stamp the 2nd book. I can't say I'll go back to use my book. At least I have the option & the gal with us did get to use hers, as she won't have another opportunity to. Staff were clearly annoyed with several other customers & just seemed generally unhappy. It was an odd experience considering how welcoming and customer-focused the other breweries were. The beer simply isn't good enough to get away with acting like that. I get it - they were slammed but didn't appear short staffed. Anywho, it was a bit disappointing. UPDATE: They reached out to us from a post made elsewhere to address the visit. Taking ownership always rates high in my book, so, props for that!

Yelp
I've been back to Archival several times since they opened and have always had good experiences. The building is airy and open, and they have a covered outdoor deck as well as a dog-friendly beer garden. The views of the park and disc golf course are pretty, and we even saw a lively fox running around outside during our last visit. The menu is unique and features different food than you usually find at other breweries. As of March 2024 some of the interesting menu items include a soft shell crab sandwich, quesa birria quesadilla, gochujang chicken and waffles, and butter chicken. On our most recent visit, I just went with the bacon cheddar burger, but it was really tasty and well made. I appreciate the options for sides - all sandwiches come with their delicious fries or you can sub broccoli salad, steamed broccoli, a cup of soup, Brussels sprouts salad, Caesar salad, or truffle potatoes! I went with the steamed broccoli and it was a large portion, nicely crisp-tender, and seasoned well. Nate got the quesa birria quesadilla which was so good, with lots of tender meat and melty cheese. We've never had any issues with service. I am not much of a beer drinker these days, but Nate has enjoyed the beers he's tried at Archival. They focus on historic style microbrews, which is really unique in the sea of many breweries in the area. They have weekly food features, weekend brunch, a lunch combo deal during the week, and live music, bingo, and game night. A fun spot!

Yelp
Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon with my husband and dog. We loved sitting in the beer garden, it was so relaxing. The beer was great with a lot to choose from. We tried the falafel appetizer which was really tasty (and spicy just like the waiter warned). Our server was extremely nice and friendly. WiFi works in the beer garden too! Can't wait to go back and try other unique menu items like the Salmon Gyro!

Ali D.

Yelp
Super good food! Got the French dip and it was so so good! A little underwhelmed by the fries because of how good the sandwich was but still great!

OHara B.

Yelp
Celiac Foodie: Lots of GF foods to chose from. A variety of Appetizers, Sandwiches and Entrees for Celiacs. GF food is identified and flagged as Allergy. Service was slow, waitress was nice and delivered everything correctly. We sat outside on the back porch during a nice summer evening. Cornhole yard game setup to use too. I ordered the Maui Tacos with Truffle Fries, the tacos had to much going on- Rice, avocado, roasted corn salsa, garlic sauce and Maui Tuna. Took away from the Maui flavor. It wasn't that good. They also offer GF Dessert too! A must try! Overall, it was a nice experience. No illness from consuming food. Happy Dining!!

Yelp
We went to their 2nd year anniversary party, mostly to see Mark Lavengood play! The hostess was great about finding us a table, even after a little misunderstanding about us wanting to be outside where we could see the music. Even while we waited for a table, it was great to sit outside and order beers from the outside bar! The beers aren't exactly the styles we typically get, but I like their Kettleena Sour. This was the first time we ordered food, and it was okay. They were SUPER busy for the party, so I think it probably would've been better on a slower day? I've heard a lot of people rave about their food, so I'm willing to come back and try again! Our server Sabrina was super helpful! They were out of the lamb (what my fiancé originally ordered) and she was ready with suggestions for what he might like instead! Overall, although we weren't in love with our food, the service, ambiance, and drinks made up for it, and we'd come back!

Sparky M.

Yelp
First time visit...First of all our server was over the top. Bella was very gracious, friendly and respectful of your time. I don't care for pushy servers or those that treat you as an interruption to their day. She was top notch! The place is very inviting and I could definitely see myself hanging out for a bit. The food was very good! Our party enjoyed the Turkey Sandwich, PLT, French Dip & Brussels Sprout Salad. Only complaint was that the kitchen forgot to dress the PLT and not sure if the French Dip had the sauce on it? This was taken care of immediately. I used to be involved in the restaurant business so these were pretty minor misses. Oh and the fries were delicious & plentiful!

Pat P.

Yelp
Once again the experience was delightful! Our server Nadia is funny sweet and helpful! It was very busy but we waited to only 10 minutes when told it would be 30. I was going to try something new but I just love the French dip served with a mountain of delicious fries. My husband had the Vietnamese beef pho - a rich broth with noodles beef and vegetables. He loved it! Of course the beer is great and so many choices. I had a yummy porter and a smash IPA. The west coast IPA is a go to for my husband. There was a nice trio playing mellow instrumental music quiet enough to enjoy conversation. There are many events planned each week and Santa visiting next Saturday.

Yelp
The first time I went here was about a year ago, in 2022, and my wife and I both were underwhelmed with their beer and food selection. The brewery has a affinity for "historic" and old-world beer options (hence the name "Archival"), but clearly went overboard on the theme a year ago. Despite the nice ambiance of the place, and really cool looking beer garden, I had no desire to go back because their beer where simply too eclectic and didn't taste good to me. This weekend, my wife and I decided to give it another try as it looked like their beer and food menu had grown since we last visited. The weather was amazing outside so we decided to try their outdoor area since we had our dog with us. All of the staff was extremely friendly and provided excellent, fast service throughout this visit. The food menu had drastically expanded and has numerous options I really wanted to try. I ended up getting the French dip with fries and both were amazing. The fries were obviously hand cut and were some of the best I've had in a long time. My wife got the Mahi tacos and said they were also very delicious. We were super impressed with the food. You can tell they care about having delicious, high-quality food. On the beer side, they still have a bunch of historic style beers which I don't like, but they've also added a good selection of more "normal" styles of beer. I had three 5 oz pours ($2 each) of the Kolsch, West Coast IPA, and the Blonde. All three were very good. Definitely worth coming back for. The outdoor beer garden is perfect for those nice Michigan days. Plenty of shade, corn hole, and an overall impressively comfortable layout. They are also VERY dog friendly so it was nice to be able to bring our well behaved puppy with us. We will definitely be coming back a bunch this summer as this place now has the best combination of beer, food, and atmosphere.

Yelp
My wife went to Archival for a date night. We started with the marinara goat cheese appetizer, which was delicious. Our server was very attentive, even when it it started getting pretty busy. My wife really enjoyed her French Dip. I opted for the weekly special, duck linguine, which was the most interesting and unique dishes I've had in years. There were many other venues options that sounded good, we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Archival is possibly the most beautiful brewery in the Midwest with its outdoor beir garden patio overlooking nature and frisbee golf. Their beir garden includes fire pits, cornhole, shaded shading, and an out door bar. Plus it's encouragingly dog friendly!! The owner even came out and gave our pup a treat. The inside has a beautiful view of the outdoors, so no matter where you're sitting, it's a great seat. Their beers are inspired by historic beers and some by the show LetterKenny. Give yer hops a tug! Food is also delicious. We've been there for dinner and brunch and have enjoyed everything we've tried. Prices are in the $$ range but you get a good portion size for the price. Plenty of parking on site.

John H.

Yelp
Nice place to visit in the summer; lots of places to hang outside, both covered and in the sun. Food was very good as well. There's inside seating as well if the day doesn't cooperate weather-wise.

Reagan A.

Yelp
Overall the food was great but not worth the price tag. The service was painfully slow and we had two impatient kids with us. The restaurant definitely gave an upscale feel. I'd be more inclined to just come back for a beer. Skip the food.

Eileen B.

Yelp
Went here for lunch and the food is so good We both had a cup of creamy mushroom with asparagus. So delicious!!! The chorizo queso with homemade chips. Excellent and the chips were crispy not greasy. Our server was so nice and let us try some different beers. It's a beautiful space with an outdoor space that can sit plenty.

Carolyn N.

Yelp
I stopped as a Harvest Host guest. Checked in and given a warm welcome. Sat at the bar, Mackenzie the bartender was very friendly and attentive. I had a flight and she handed me a book "The Beer Bible" that gave the history of each beer. Beer was super interesting, really appreciated that Mackenzie shared the book and was attentive to my needs. Food was very good to excellent, though the Chicken Dumpling soup was odd. The soup tasted good. Beautiful views from the restaurant. Excellent HH location, I slept very good and felt safe.

Phil P.

Yelp
Ask to seated on deck which had open tables. 1/2 hour later host tells us he did not add us to waiting list. After quite awhile and no waitress ordered drinks ourselves at bar. Well over and hour no food no waitress we tracked her down who offered to cancel our order on the spot. Food arrived cold. We asked for takeout boxes and got one for each of not big enough for meal. Shame is the food was good but total lack of service. Seemed to care less. Ruined my wife's mother's day. This place needs a manager.

Rob S.

Yelp
Archival really needs a hostess to greet people as they come in. Even if they have to wait for a table, just to acknowledge them, before they think no one cares if they're there, about-face, and exit for The Vestal, Shots, The Score, or other nearby establishments. It doesn't seem like much, but it really, REALLY is! That said, the food is amazing, and the waitstaff that are here are working their asses off providing pretty good table service!

Olivia Y.

Yelp
Came here after finding out they had gluten free fish and chips! It is a newer restaurant and beautiful inside and outside! Lovely fire pits, corn hole, outdoor patio, and outdoor seating with heat lamps. Inside is spacious. An interesting mix of industrial and wooden. I of course tried the fish and chips- portions were plentiful and there are a lot of fries! The fish itself was just okay. I'm surprised to say that I thought there was too much breading and then inside it was kind of mushy where the fish met the breading. But overall with GF options you can't be too picky I suppose. The menu has many options for people who prefer to eat GF. My husband had the wagyu burger and thought it was good. I had their root beer which was delicious and my husband tried a sample of one of their beers before deciding to get the full size. Their list is extensive and the waitress was very helpful in picking out a drink. There were multiple families with little children or babies and plenty of room indoors to navigate with the stroller. Outside it's a long walk down to avoid stairs, but definitely doable. We will come back! And maybe next time with a group so we can enjoy the outdoor space with others.

Yelp
This review is for the absolutely outstanding tasting dinner served up by Archival at the Food and Wine Festival - before you 'hang up' on this review all the beers we were served and several of the courses are available at the restaurant and I base this review on those. First off I am a fish and chips junky and these were some of the absolute best fish and chips I have ever had!!!!!! Shatteringly crisp flavorful crust, perfectly cooked tender chunk of real fish inside. Fries were great too, but after I bit into the fish ya kind of lost me for a few nom nom moments :D. Chicken and waffles, another big weakness of mine, perfect tender flavorful gochujang chicken (can have sauce on the side per request) and the yummy waffle held it's crunch without being the least bit dry - awesome!!!!!! I am not a beer hater, I am incredibly neutral on beer, went to this tasting for my husband. But I legit enjoyed several of the tastings I received at this pairing. They tasted like beer, but to talk about them you had to talk like they were scotch and discuss depths, notes, etc. some highly delicious complex excellence going on here! When I go to this restaurant soon - I will order a beer. Outstanding job chef, thank you! *Update: tasting dinner and beer were so good here we got up the next day (today) and decided to brunch at Archival and do our Thanksgiving beer shopping there as well. This place is fantastic. Great parking, extremely easy to get to. Beautiful setting overlooking a park with water views in the distance. Clean, comfortable inviting. Music was complimentary, not blaring. Service was fantastic! Food was every bit as good as remembered. We were able to carry out growlers of everything we liked. Attention to detail and great care are very evident in every aspect of the place. Definitely going on our repeat list.

Wm B.

Yelp
Summers gone bring your coat, CHILLY inside, a bit pricey , food decent. Music trivia Tuesday night. Win coupons good for food.

Ellie A.

Yelp
Great food and service! The dip trio was our favorite. Also had the tacos and a French dip. All were very good! Looking forward to returning with the outdoor seating.

Chris W.

Yelp
Finally had a chance to grab lunch here. Food was very good. Loved the hand cut fries. Went with the Cuban which checked the boxes. It was too hot to sit outside but they have an awesome outdoor space. Great variety of beer, cider and sours for all. Looking forward to coming back again

Kale W.

Yelp
This place is an absolute gem. The general vibe, ambiance and look is very natural, manicured, and welcoming- but also clearly "buttoned up" if you were to have an event there. On that note, they do a ton of community events like live music, Easter egg hunts and brunches that are very well done. Food? I literally want to eat the whole menu, every time. (PS: get the garlic aioli with fries...you won't be disappointed) Beer? Crisp, clean and there's something for everyone. Between Nordic traditional styles, SMASH beers and even blondes, a solid performance.

Jennifer T.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible with large groups. It took 2.5 hours for our entire group to get their food. People that came after us, ordered after us, had eaten and were gone an hour before we had food. No one ever came to apologize or explain, the waitress hid from us, no explanations or discounts were given, and then they automatically charged us 22% for the tip!

Chelsea E.

Yelp
I was excited to come back here cause the food and drinks were good last time. Sadly this disappointed in almost every way. Wait time was said to be 15-20 minutes and took 35 minutes to be seated for a party of 3. Once seated we were told the kitchen was behind 45 minutes.. This should have been upfront front initial check in with hostess. Drink for our child never came so had to go to bar after another 15 minutes. The food was good and hot once arrived. After we were done had to wait a long time for bill where I eventually had to go to bar to be acknowledged to pay. Sadly I don't think we will beck unless things drastically change.

Sarah W.

Yelp
This was our fourth trip to Archival Brewing. Previously we had enjoyed dining there but we webt this past Friday for a family members birthday. THe food quality was not what we had experienced in the past. Not only did our food take 50 minutes to arrive at our table. Another table next to us arrived after us and paid their bill before our food even came out to our table. We were told it would be a few more minutes and it was at least 30 more minutes. Then when the food arrived it tasted like it was sitting somewhere for dat least 25 minutes. THe fires were cold and we had to ask for new fries. We are just so disappointed the quality of food at this restayrant has changed so much.

Preston G.

Yelp
In my opinion re a recent visit I'd not recommend the what I consider to be pricy fries they supplied no utensils nor napkins as I ate with my fingers. This was at the bar. Left a tip but kinda wish I haven't

Ed V.

Yelp
Good food and a nice selection of beer. Friendly staff, good service! Nice outside area to use during the warmer months!

Im S.

Yelp
Food is amazing there are many different things to choose from and unique and delicious flavors. I love the aesthetic of this place and sitting outside by the fire and walking around, and the scenery is beautiful. The service is good never slow and staff is nice.

Lisa O.

Yelp
Excellent beer, food, and service!! My husband is a mug club member and really enjoys this place. They are always friendly and happy to see us and our pup. The deck and back patio area are both dog friendly. Excellent salads, burgers and specials. My favorite appetizer is the fried assorted mushrooms. They are totaly scrumptious!

Kelli R.

Yelp
Beer and atmosphere were good. Outdoor area looks awesome for summertime. Food and service were extremely disappointing. The calamari was cold and chewy. The marinara was flavorless. The French dip was decent service was awful considering only a few tables were filled - took forever to get our food.

Jessica O.

Yelp
I've been following the progress of Archival on their Facebook page, and am excited they are finally open to the public! My husband drove by on Thursday (opening day) but it was too packed to stop in that night. We took a chance after dinnertime on Saturday and were able to be seated right away! We sat upstairs on the dining side. There is some seating at the bar, but it was full when we were there. They also have some outdoor seating wrapping around the back of the building, and I think additional seating downstairs as well. It's a pretty large space. We were only in to try some of their beer, but the food menu sounds appetizing. It's a smaller selection, which is not surprising for a new place. There are at least 2 or 3 menu items that I'm looking forward to ordering. The food that was being delivered to other tables looked and smelled fantastic! For beer we shared a flight of 5: Jack's Pal Al, Kranz Kolsch, Cloud Piercer Pils, Shoresy Schwarzy, and Harwood. I liked the Jack's and Kranz, but the Cloud Piercer was a little too floral for my taste. My husband enjoyed the Shoresy and the Harwood. There are a few others I'll definitely be back in to try as well. Overall it was a pleasant introduction. I'm looking forward to stopping back in and trying some more of their food and drink menu. I'm also curious to see if they'll take advantage of the outdoor space as well. Congrats to Archival on their opening!

Marianne G.

Yelp
I have eaten and drank here a handful of times, now. I really have no complaints! The staff is incredibly friendly and very helpful. They are good at helping you select a drink if you need it, since there are a lot of options. It's a beautiful space - indoors, everything is very 'new' and lovely. Their bar is awesome! Everything seems very clean and nice. There is also outdoor seating available off the dining area, out on the balcony. As far as the food that I've eaten, everything has been delicious! I particularly love their hummus w/ crostini! As far as the drink options, I do feel like I have a hard time finding something that I like. A lot of their drinks are just a bit odd - they certainly don't offer the typical beers that other breweries in town have. Their cider and mead is on point with that as well, and hit or miss for me. But don't let that discourage you - everyone's taste preferences are different! Their biergarten is AMAZING! It's a very large space, has its own indoor bar, restrooms, etc. There is indoor seating along with outdoor seating, so plenty of options. There is a large area beyond that, too. They have several fire pits with many Adirondack chairs, there is a grassy cornhole area, with 4 board sets. The entire space outdoors is very beautiful - such a nice, quiet outdoor setting.

Patrick M.

Yelp
Come for the beer and leave. Food was extremely disappointing, service was mixed. We arrived with a large and patient group on a Thursday night. The server who greeted us couldn't have been more sarcastic and useless, while the other server who attended to our group genuinely tried very hard. Met with the manager who was no more than an empty suit with no interest in receiving our feedback to make the restaurant better.

Patricia C.

Yelp
Too many things to mention....no pric es on menus so forced to scan their QR Code, nothing alcoholic but their beer which wasn't good (we tried 4), mediocre food, poorly trained staff

Janice G.

Yelp
Great place. Good food. Great atmosphere. Enjoyed the outdoors setting. Service was great.

Michael G.

Yelp
TL;DR - Wonderful and unique tap list in a cool space with indoor and outdoor seating available along with pretty good food served by friendly and attentive servers. I always have a tough time deciding if a brewery that serves a full food menu should be judged more on it's beer or it's food. In the case of Archival, they put a heavy emphasis on being a restaurant (traditional dining room, servers with table sections and a full menu from starters to desserts) so I will break them down in to ratings as a brewery and a restaurant. The building is wonderfully renovated! Gorgeous inside and out, this former golf club house has a seat style and location for everyone. Between the bar, high tops, booth style padded bench, outdoor deck or patio seating options, you should be able to find a place to get comfy. The space is a 5/5 As a brewery they are doing some of the most interesting and refreshingly different work in the HR area. They brew "Old World Style" beers and they brew them well! The tap list had 18 beer options the night we were there along with ciders and meads. The list ranged from the lighter side with a Kolsch to a big bad imperial Russian stout. They were also offering a delicious Doppelbock and a few Sahti - Finnish style farmhouse ales. Seriously, get out of your hazy NEIPA rut, try a flight and experiment with different styles of beer. The beer is a 4.5/5 The kitchen is where Archival seems to be lacking. Three out of the 4 diners at our table had a complaint about their dish with one having to return it all together. This issue was corrected promptly but we all felt our complaints were simple and valid issues that shouldn't have happened. I.e. fries that were overly seasoned and served closer to cold than hot. Missing toppings on the burger. Over cooked meat and veggie mixture in the shepherds pie. The star dish of our table was the Cuban sandwich. We all tried a bite and agreed it was really well made and delicious! Our dessert indulgence was to split the Kentucky Butter Cake which we found to be very dry (we didn't finish it if that tells you anything). Food is a 3.5/5. Last but not least our server was very good! She offered great suggestions, was patient with us as we made our beer flight selections and remedied the burger situation swiftly. Service was well done and a solid 4/5. Maybe we caught an off night (Tuesday) for the kitchen but that's how it goes. We will come back in the summer to enjoy the patio.

Jourdan D.

Yelp
The location and atmosphere seemed really great here, but we had to leave without ever being served. After ten minutes of no service I approached the host table to let them know, and asked to make sure they had someone assigned to our table. They apologized me and assured someone would be over. After another ten minutes with no service, we left. We had a toddler and unfortunately couldn't wait any longer for food and drinks. Hopefully it's not a normal occurrence but it was our first time there so I'm not sure we will be back.

Logan W.

Yelp
The vibe here is almost unmatched and was a great spot to enjoy a nice crisp fall evening on the deck under the heaters. The appetizer was quite good and had the perfect ratio of chips to spin dip. The value of the spin dip was impeccable, we got so much dip for a reasonable price! The beer, Oktoberfest and The Duke, were quite tasty and I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor of each. The entree's were really good, but the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich was not really spicy. However, the flavor and taste was still all super great. The downfall of this place is the pricing of the entree's, the Nashville Hot was like a chik fil a sized sandwich and the Chicken Risotto was like a kids portion. Overall, the flavor of the food and beer is great but the value for what you get is not there. Dinner for 2 was $85.

Elyse A.

Yelp
We were very excited to see Archival reviving the old golf course club house on West River Drive in early 2021! We stopped by in June 2021 and I was finally able to go back in Nov 2021. First and second visit the beer definitely impressed. Their sour is SO GOOD. They have a very unique tap list with very interesting beers with rich history. The owners were behind the bar the first time we went in and they were great! Super nice, gave us lots of history, and talked with us about the brewery and their vision/goals/ etc. Food was good in June but has gotten better! They have a unique menu with much more than the typical brewery / pub fare. Unique dishes that you dont see many places - lots of flavor! Prices are a little higher than you'd typically see at a brewery for food. Last time I was there we got the blue cheese dip app - SO GOOD. The Market salad was fabulous. Nashville hot sandwich was a little oily but big. Fries... the fries are so good. I LOVED the kids trio - pick any 3 items off the kids menu. My kids loved that! The seasonal menu looked fantastic.. and so did the dessert. However, I was TOO FULL! I am super excited about their beer garden! They are putting a lot of time and effort into their outdoor space and I looks like it is going to be amazing! Excited to have them up this way!

Yelp
Sabrina was a great waitress! She told us she was new to the job, but she handled herself like a pro.

Yelp
Great food and greater beer. Gets busy so it can be loud. Consider the large back patio if you're sensitive to loud environments

Yelp
Made a late dinner stop yesterday with my wife. The very young hostess was clearly not well trained and made a very passing nod in the direction of the stairs to take down to the outdoor seating. Finding our way down, we were greeted relatively quickly by a server who then took some time to return for our order. There seemed to be several servers around but most were cleaning up, sweeping, putting chairs on tables for the impending closing (they had well over and hour before closing) and not intent on serving. I witnessed virtually ever table but ours having to ask for utensils which seemed odd. All in all the service was pretty poor and the food mediocre.

Yelp
We sat outside on the deck. It was a nice vibe. Service was good. The fried mushrooms were quite disappointing, they were very thick batter. Our dinners however, the Cuban and ramen were very good and large portions. My husband got a couple beers and enjoyed them. They have a nice outdoor area and we would definitely go back.

Yelp
great location and atmosphere, was not busy on a tuesday evening. stag was friendly and service was fast. food was pretty good! ordered the turkey club and chocolate chip cookies + ice cream for dessert. sandwich had an interesting, unexpected flavor but was good. not my favorite fries, I thought they were dry. but paired with the garlic aioli helped out! can't say anything bad about the dessert!

Yelp
Love the food and unique menu. I highly recommend. The atmosphere is great too and the service was also very good.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place. The food was great. Another reviewer said it should be "pub style food". Why do it can be like every other place? The food was top notch. The beer was decent. Nothing to write home about, but I'll cut some slack for a new place. Service? Oof. I asked my server her opinion between 2 dishes. She stated she hadn't had one of them?? What kind of management doesn't make sure the server staff hasn't tried something? And another thing. One of my biggest pet peeves is when a food runner has to "auction food". They brought food and said "who had the sandwich and who had the pasta?" That is...awful and sloppy. 30 years ago I worked in food service and our POS system let us ring in orders by seat number. It should have been rung up by seat number and delivered as such. It's a free and simple solution to make your place look like it has class. Two very simple things management can do to better the customer experience.

Yelp
This place has a lot of potential with the amazing building/patio and grounds however the food is very mediocre. Ordered the poutine and it had too much gravy and came out ice cold. The beer list is also a little difficult to decode the descriptions left us with a lot of questions. 3 stars for the patio!

Yelp
The food was amazing but the service was HORRIBLE. We waited 30 minutes for a table which we felt was reasonable for a busy Saturday night but after our waitress took our drink orders and appetizer orders it went downhill. My husband got his drink in about 10 minutes but mine never arrived. We waited for 45 minutes for our appetizers and watched our waitress have lengthy conversations with the large groups seated on either side of us and we watched tables that had arrived well after us get their apps before we did. Finally the apps came out and I had to reorder my drink. Our waitresses had not checked in before the apps arrived so this was my first opportunity to ask about my drink. Then, literally 2 minutes after our apps arrived they brought our entrees. We felt rushed and ignored. Our waitress was only attentive to tables of 5+. We had to crowed our tiny two top to get all of the plates to fit. We do date night once a month and it was very disappointing to waste our money on such abysmal service. Even though the food was good, we won't be going back. It's not worth the negative experience.
