Beautiful restaurant, well decorated and nice atmosphere 👌 The food took some time to come and it wasn't bad, but it didn't amaze me to be honest. Probably they should season the food a bit more. The service was great! The two young buys who served us were super polite and helpful all the time. The prices were reasonable as well.

It was a really nice place. Food was good. My kid did not like that the mozzarella sticks did not have cheese inside. Also the chicharron has to be well done. Lemonade was good. Parking is very convenient at the rear of the restaurant and free.

This was me & my boyfriend’s second time eating at Arepalicious & we loved it. The food is always flavorful & fresh. The waiters are very nice & attentive, always asking how are things and if your food is good. Our experience was great and I would recommend this restaurant for a date idea as the atmosphere was nice too. I recommend the grilled chicken with rice & beans and the arepalicious burger. Small restaurant with limited seating, the menu has a wide variety of options, I highly recommend the loaded steak fries, think homemade crispy French fries with guacamole, steak, cheese!! That was so delicious!!! The breakfast platter can be shared and the coffee is delicious. The parking lot is crowded. Not pricey for the amount of food. The waitress wasn’t really checking up on us but the vibe is more of a cafe than a restaurant so that may be the reason. They were doing quite a lot of takeout. I would recommend

Food was excellent but there were a few mix ups, we asked for our meal and we asked for a take out order also, we specified that it was “to go” however, it was brought to the table , plus a side order that we asked for was missing, we just decided to forget about that side and ate the food, then we were being asked at least 5 times, how is everything? It got annoying to be interrupted 5 times by 3 different people. At the end I felt like slamming my hand on the table and saying NO ITS NOT OK, you screwed up the order!!! There should be water at the table, and it would be nice to have bread or buns, there was no salt & pepper or sugar on the table either. Music is too loud !Room for improvement.

I absolutely love the food at Arepalicious! I eat here all the time. The flavors are consistently good and it’s always fresh and hot! The cheese arepas, guava sauce, mushroom gravy with grilled chicken are my go to! 👌🏾 They also have a great selection of desert!

This used to be a good spot, idk what happened. Today I wanted to order for pick up and had somewhere to be. I called On my way over, the lady put me on hold for 10 min and then they hung up on me. I tried to call back 5 times and no one answered. At this point I didn't feel like ordering but was already on the way. When I got there, I asked them what was up with their phones and the lady who clearly hung up on me and as giving me a death glare when she overheard me mentioning what happened and then started to talk about me in Spanish as if I wouldnt Understand. The food was pretty good, but ordered an overpriced slice of cake and the cream was bad!!! It tasted like sour milk I spit It right out. Absolutely disgusting!!! Didn't even want to go back or deal with complaining to them after how rude they were at pick up. And noticed they have a b rating up. I just read reviews of the place being dirty and having move and I believe it. They can't even answer the phone or treat a loyal customer who has ordered over 30 times respect. Won't be coming back sadly.

I’m sooo happy that we stopped by. I love me some Colombian food. I’m not bias but it’s just the absolute best. My family and I came in and we absolutely loved it. Every dish was spot on. The service was perfection and very attentive. I will definitely be coming back again.

I really have to shoutout the server that I had tonight. A new young gentleman, normally I have ladies. We really wanted to stay but the music was just too loud for my son, he turned it down and was so attentive and responsive. He was also really polite and friendly. I'm not saying the older servers are not good, he's just really good at customer service. I wish I had gotten his name to ask for him next time. The food was A+ as well. I love across the street and i go often. It's definitely improved in recent months.

tried their chicken arepa and was surprised by how sweet the dough was. the sauce on top of the chicken was pretty tasty, and found it complimented the arepa pretty well. workers were fast and kind!

Como decimos en Colombia esta plática se perdió. Raramente en California se encuentra un buen restaurante con comida Colombiana. Me alegré al ver que este estaba tan cerca de mi hotel en NY. Quizá debí haber probado las arepas y no dejarme tentar por el "mondongo" de los viernes. Parecía más caldo de huesos y yuca, conté tres pedazos pequeños de Mondongo el resto solo caldo, huesos sin carne y yuca. Dos estrellas por que el pandebono si estaba rico.

I'm giving them 4 stars based on my experience. I read a lot of the reviews and see they are very mixed. I found them while driving down Cross Bay Blvd on my way to the Belt Parkway. Honestly if it wasn't for traffic I would have missed them. Good choice for authentic Columbia's food. They offer a pretty extensive menu. Anything from Empanadas, salads, soups, entrees, burgers, deserts, juices, etc. Hey offer catering, sit down service and delivery. You come here for the food, not the decor. Prices are good and service was good on my visit. I only came by to pick up some chicken empenada s as I know I was going to hit some major traffic with the NYC 5 borough bike tour. The empanadas were good, they were fresh so the food has a quick turnover, and the apple, beet and orange juice was made right in front of me. I would recommend them based on my experience, if I'm in the area I would stop buy and try an entree. From what I observed customers eating I would be curious to try one.

I've been wanting to sit and dine here for a long time and finally was able to during the week. I came during my lunch break ordered the arepa chicken cone and my husband ordered the lunch special : chicken, rice and beans. Lunch specials come with a soup (delicious). The food was absolutely delicious. The arepa come blew me away I was not expecting it to be so good! However, the reason I took 2 stars away is due to the service. There was only 1 girl servicing the tables and ringing up the walk ins. I asked for hot sauce - never got it. Asked for a Togo container -took forever. I don't blame the waitress it was wayyyyy too much for her to handle on her own. Finally, another lady from the back came to help at the register. The food is delicious but Such a shame that they don't have enough staff working to supply good customer service.

Ok, so I am in love with Arepalocious. There, I admitted it. The service, the food, the ambiance is all welcoming and it's easy to see why people love it. Since I have been stopping in in the mornings and after school, I'm always by myself so o haven't ventured into trying larger meals. I can't help myself from ordering the appetizer of the three mini arepas topped with: easily the best guacamole I can ever remember having, shredded chicken, and shredded beef all topped with zesty and flavorful sauces. The arepas are light and airy and filled with the perfect amount of mild cheese. I stare at the whole roasted chickens spinning around as I eat and know that I'm going to have to take one home to the family sooner than later. If you like flan (who doesn't...I know), definitely try it!! I wasn't really a fan of arepas because I've clearly never had them as they should be. Thanks to Arepalocious, they have easily become one of my new favorite treats!!!

Hands down one of my favorite Colombian restaurants in southern west queens! The space is family friendly with parking in the back: they have a huge selection of food options with lots of modern twists like the arepa cone and street fries with all the toppings. My favorite is the Bandeja paisa, this plate is typically a huge plate but the portions in this restaurant is pretty generous. The steak is top quality, tender, juicy and the arepas are to DIE FOR. Please check this establishment out, they are worth it.

I came across this place through an event. The food was so delicious. Now I order from this place about every other week. Even with delivery, the food is delicious. The arepas are definitely special and unlike other arepa spots. It has a slight sweetness to it that goes amazing with the cheese inside. I've had the arepas with all different toppings from steak, guacamole, chicken and shrimp. My favorite would have to be the garlic shrimp because shrimp! The pork ceviche with plantain chips is absolutely delicious and make sure you always get a side of green sauce. The different drinks are great too. The coco lemonade was different but tasty as well. It's a literal perfect blend- not to coconut and just the right amount of lemon. This is definitely become one of my staples!

This was a drive by which I had wanted to perform loooooong time ago!!! Walked in and immediately greeted!! Finger food was fresh and warm- had the guava and cheese. Cheese empanada. Beef empanada- and chicken. Ordered a hot Colombian - lol chocolate!! Lol!! Please do try!!! Normally I have the arepa de choclo with cheese but this time I resisted!! Equally as good though-!!! Lol!!!

I had the tostones sampler, and it was amazing! My fave was the one with fried pork skin. This is obviously an appetizer to share, because I ate this all myself, and it filled me right up! 10/10 would recommend.

This restaurant and it's delicious food surprised us beyond measure in the best way possible. It's going to be a staple for me from now on! I'd never tried such a great Columbian restaurant before, but generally speaking, South American food is my favorite. We got the the mini arepa sampler, arepacone, steak Maduros, and the arepalicious burger. Our favorites are the sampler and Maduros! Explosion of flavors. The coconut lemonade was delicious as well, although I'd skip out on dessert because the cake we had tasted too artificial. The staff were attentive, friendly, and had good suggestions. The restaurant itself is simple and has sufficient seating. The food is the wow factor more than the environment, but it allowed us to focus more on the food. Overall, love love love and can't recommend enough!

It's so sad to see this but they have such amazing food but the service and the lack of caring is disgusting. Literally the worst customer service ever. They will see you walk in and let you Stand there for over 30 minutes without a care in the world. If you order over the phone good luck... still takes just as long and even longer when you get there. If you order online for pickup, even if it's one item they don't care they will not fulfill the order until an hour later that the app says it's due by.

Any time I had Arepalicious it was takeout/delivery. They do not disappoint. The food tastes amazing and fresh which is sometimes the downside of delivery with container condensation, you do not have to worry about that ordering here. Delivery has always been quick, arrives earlier than supposed to. Portion size is decent as well. My go to order is the sweet plantain canoe with shredded beef (tasted both the beef and chicken, preferred the flavoring of the beef) the saltiness of the meat and the sweetness of the plantain is a great combo, especially with the special sauce on it. You also can't go wrong with a side of fried plantains. GET the green sauce! It's mouth watering.

The food was actually good. The service however is terrible. Its so sad to see a restaurant that has potential be ruined by bad service. Our waiter forgot our drinks, got my order wrong, did not pay any attention to us, and it even took forever to get the check. I would of been more understanding if the restaurant had been packed but it wasn't. I hope they are able to turn this problem around quickly.

5 stars because: AUTHENTIC COLOMBIAN FOO Food is outstanding, so much flavor, freshly made, beautiful, cooked perfectly, and the amount is enormous. Atmosphere is spacious, clean and there's also a parking lot. The service is quick and appreciated! Family owned business. They are so welcoming, so kind and hospitable.

This was my favorite spot especially for empanadas, I was sad to see they got a C rating from the health department and now I cannot bring myself to go there anymore...cleanliness is key when you are running a food establishment.

Do not get the Shrimp Arepacone, it is a scam. I used to love this dish. I am not sure when they decided to remove the shrimp and replace it with surimi. They try tricking people by adding 1 (one) shrimp on top. The rest is a mixture of onion, sauce and perhaps one slice of chopped avocado. This was such a disappointment.

I just feel like if I order an arepa for $10 is should come with a few more toppings like the arepacone did. Maybe something for texture like lettuce. The fries were very soggy. The arepa itself was tasty, fluffy, and sweet, and cheesy, I wish I ordered this without the chicken because they really did not go together. The chicken had no discernible flavor.

Simply amazing. So I had the Chicken Empanadas and the Beef Empanada, which are my favorite. They were perfectly warmed up and tasted DELICIOUS! The Empanada con carne literally pulled apart like one of those fancy 5k food videos on TV lmao. Then I bit into the Chicken Empanada and the chicken was nice and juicy, not one little bit of dryness at all. Usually when I have a Colombian chicken empanada it's dry, not this one! Also, both salsa picante (green and red) taste like heaven on the empanadas I ordered the Vegetariana, I'm currently waiting on that to be made, I'll be back with some more juicy details! BOOOOM so I took my arepa para llevar... I almost passed out in the car eating that. It was too good. The combo of sweet an savory was unmatchable. The sweet plantains were perfectly cooked and delicious. The avocado was such a great addition and filling (i had just finished working out too). The onions and beans just set the whole entire sandwich off man. The facility is beautiful. It's clean, spacious, and welcoming. I can't wait to go back!

Very unusual items on the menu. So crispy and tender. Never had anything like this before, tender steak wrapped in a crispy arepa.

I always pass by this place on my way home. One day I went to Dollar Tree and decided to go inside and see what's the hype since I saw it got really good reviews especially on TikTok. It was the best decision we made, we order the plátano boat with beef, the mini arepas sampler and empanadas de queso y carne...wow everything was DELISH and fresh. We only waited ten minutes and the girls behind the counter were very nice. I went twice last week and can't wait to go again Oh for dessert; tres leche, flan con coco and dulce de leche cake (which wasn't my favorite the cake was too dense)

A few friends had told me how great this place is. Since I don't live in the area it took me while to try it out but I have to say I didn't really enjoy it. As a Colombian native I felt the food was not authentic at all. I really wanted to like this place since I had heard such great things. I tried the shredded chicken over tostones and the shredded beef over an arepa. Both dishes were just okay.

Nice place good food! I love their Conos. Fried plantain Cones filled with any meat u want, if you know you know!

Very poor service....slow to bring food, water and coffee, yet Quick to push you out, even though not busy on a Saturday.Food was alright, but one dish was served cold (surf and turf arepas ).shrimp in cone was okay but smallish portion. Coffee weak.prices on menu just changed 10%. -50% more than stated so beware of what you're paying. Some items up 10% which is understandable to me , but some items from 9 to 15$. Not returning.

Very good, all their breads are freshly made with love. The service is great, and the ambience is simple nothing too crazy. Great spot for breakfast/ brunch. A bread in particular that I would recommend is the pandebono. The Arepacone is also very good and flavorful.

Went in on Saturday morning to get fresh bread. Spent about $50 on bread here and when I got home every. Thing. Was old. Not one single piece of bread was fresh. Arepa was stale breads were all stale. Not okay and will not come back

Very good empanadas overall. The Hawaiian one is great! Chicken one not so much. Nice staff. Can eat inside or out. I wouldn't order anything else minus the desserts.

I've ordered pickup from here several times, since it's a convenient 5-minute drive from home whenever the craving for Colombian food strikes. Their bandeja paisa is great - you can tell the beans are fresh, the chicharron is crispy rather than crunchy, and the arepa (which I usually ignore and put to the side at other restaurants) is perfectly sweet and soft! I also recommend their Colombian hotdog, which can get a little messy but is loaded with potato chips and pineapple. And did I mention they also have a bakery?! My personal favorite is their dulce de leche cake.

Saw the name of this place and immedately did a U-turn on CBB. Definitely a little slow to be acknowledged when walking in, but the woman was very nice who took my order. I got: Arepa con queso, jamón, piña y salsa de piña (arepa with cheese, ham, pineapple, and pineapple sauce) Canoe: Maduro con queso y guayaba (whole fried sweet plantain with cheese and guava) The arepa was just ok, a little liquidy, but the sweet plantain canoe was legit, especially dipped in their green sauce which is even more legit. Spicy, and full of so much flavor, my mouth is watering just typing this. Will definitely be back for more plantain canoes.

I decided to try Arepalicious for the first time and ordered through Yelp. What a great experience! The estimated time was 50-60 minutes for delivery but it came in about 45 minutes and the delivery guy was very nice. I ordered the Bandeja Tipica. Everything was hot and packaged well. The steak was seasoned so good and had a grilled flavor. The chicharron was crispy but tender inside. The sausage was crispy and flavorful and had a nice snap to it. The rice and beans and plantains were great as well. I tend to skip the egg but it was done good. I also ordered the chicken empanada to try and an order of flan. The green sauce was so good. Not overly spicy. Everything was great with leftovers for the next day. I will definitely try them again!

Service sucks. Employees don't care for their customers. They didn't greet when we walked in. Had us waiting (party of 4) to be seated without acknowledging us at all, and they looked at us plenty of times. Once we sat down we had to ask for the menus because it wasn't brought to us. Food took a while to come after ordered. Once the food was brought to the table we had to ask for utensils more than once. We ordered mini arepa sampler (not bad) , 2 skirt steaks (not cooked how we wanted) , Hawaiian chicken platter (chicken was dry), rice and beans to all entrees had no flavor whatsoever. And French fries were SOOOO oily. Only recommend this place for their pastries.

This place is nice, the people are so nice and definitely accommodate your every need. The food is delicious but I wouldn't recommend the cheese fries. The cheese doesn't melt at all. Loved the mini arepa sampler. Get it as an appetizer or even a meal.

This place is unreliable at best for delivery of any kind. We ordered dinner at 4 so we could have early and get the kids to bed. 2 hours later they cancel our order saying that can't fulfill it. No apology. No offer to make it right, either. I'd say order for pickup, but you might waste even more of your time by showing up only to find out that they can't make it. It's too bad, because we like the food. But this wasn't the first time this place screwed us for delivery. AVOID!!

Poorly oiled machine. Been waiting 45 minutes for an order of 4 empanadas and arepas sampler, all to go. Better be amazing. Edit: the arepas WERE amazing! One extra star. But the secondary cashier was totally rude and minimally apologetic, placing blame on the server who took our order (who was actually very nice and professional)- "she didn't warn you that the arepas take a long time when she took your order?" No lady, it's not normal for an arepa to take half and hour to make. Even an amazing one- especially at a restaurant that specializes in arepas!

I love that this place has parking in the rear - def. a must for me, especially in this area. I got the cone which was delicious, however the actual meat was less than warm which i found a bit weird. My friend got an arepa (i forgot the name) but it was also less than warm. The fried chicken was delicious but the tostones were not crisp or warm. Overall, A-OK. I'd like to try a bit more of the menu options and re-do my review. I'd suggest trying for yourself. The Lemonade I got was also very tasty.

Delicious food, poor service. We ordered water before we ordered our meal and didn't get it until after we got our food. The waitress who we asked went on break without saying anything so we had to ask another waitress who seemed confused that she was serving us now too. We ordered the Colombian platter which was delicious and filling! Again, we tried waving someone down for a water refill and it was difficult! I was surprised because it wasn't crowded. It was a Sunday afternoon and there were tables empty. We enjoyed the food though. I hope the service gets better, it helps business! I'm really big on drinking water, it was also hot. Yummy Colombian food though!

The food is ok , they take a long time to cook a small amount of food and there delivery times are horrible. Please avoid. And after leaving them a review that they deserve, the owner was kind enough to say thank you for his garbage food and service , look at the picture below!?!?!? I've been waiting here for 20+ minutes, for some goddang tostones with pork belly. Explain to me why it's taking forever! Two people that came in after me already got their food and left. Porque?! And guess what, the flan is SOUR aka it has gone bad and they still sold us the flan. Why would you sell spoiled food????

The name of the business really intrigued me. I had amazing arepas when i went to DC so when I saw this I HAD to go in. Unfortunately, I wasn't very impressed :(. I expected a large variety of arepas but they only have a few options (maybe 5-6) and they're all pretty similar; chicken with cheese, beef with cheese, guac with cheese, cheese alone etc. Nothing out of the ordinary. I expected a unique range of different types from a place called AREPAlicious. Anywho, we ended up ordered a few chicken and beef arepas with a plantain stuffed with cheese and chicken. The plantain was good and the arepas were okay. What bothered me was the service. It took some time to be acknowledged when we arrived and when I asked for more sauce I was told that it was a limit of 1 sauce for every two arepas. Now don't get me wrong, I understand limiting sauce for those who take advantage but you're telling me that for every TWO arepas, I can only have 1 small sauce that isn't even filled fully? That doesn't really make sense. The server stated if I wanted extra sauce, I would have to pay. Sorry arepalicious :( not impressed.

DONT BE WEARY!! If you're from the area, you know many businesses have failed here. They open, they close. They open, and fail. GOD PLEASE DONT ALLOW THAT THIS TIME. Every bit of it was delicious and high quality My girl had guacamole arepa and fried yuca( vegetarian life ). Both were perfect ! Food arrived in less than 30 mins on uber eats, still hot and very tasty. I will be returning for sure!

Came here on a Friday morning around 9am.. Sat down and looked at the menu..of course their name stood out to ensure my fiancé and I that their arepas were more than delicious..no? The waitress came over from the cash register to take our order. I asked for hot chocolate (on the menu..it says specifically on the breakfast section their arepa comes with either coffee or hot chocolate 6am-11am) --unfortunately they did not have hot chocolate..so I ordered two BLACK coffees.... We also ordered two regular sized arepas one with chicken and one with shredded beef Moments later..waitress came back with the two black coffees to tell us they currently do not have regular sized arepas instead only the mini ones..I said ok fine...(i found it strange..their restaurant clearly states their specialty of having arepas..no??!) [picture was taken] We went on to drink our coffees and there was sugar in it..when people usually order black coffees it should not have anything in it..i went to ask the waitress if she put sugar in it ..she said "yeah..you ordered black coffees and I put two sugars in it". ... ::silence:: anyway she took it back and gave me, from what I interpret, black coffee of being.. Coffee was good..their arepas were ok not the best ..I will stick to going to Jacup's for the arepas Very disappointed

I've been coming here since this business opened. This is my 4th visit. I have to admit service has improved. It's good that the management has paid attention to all negative reviews posted on google, including mine and has decided to implement solutions to keep the clientele and attract more. All they serve here is fresh and delicious. The fresh squeezed juices are a delight. The waitresses are caring more. Before they used to blame the rest of the crew for the long waits on orders. (Up to 1 hour). What the management needs to check are the temperatures. Almost everything here are hot entrees or hot main courses. Everything was room temperature. Food was pretty good. Service on the other hand was just downright terrible from the moment we walked in. You won't even be acknowledged when you walk in. There was 3 people behind the counter and they won't even look your way while you stand there waiting. Service def needs a BIG improvement.

I would love to give this restaurant a great review because it is one of the very few Hispanic food places in Howard Beach Queens (aside from Tacos). The yellow rice bland, bland, bland. Beans taste like tomato sauce with huge pieces of tomatoes. Almost soup like. I am from a Latino background and I know this could be better. They have lost their touch from when they first opened up. Hopeful they will get some seasoning and spice up their food. Disappointed.

amazing food but the service sucks, as you can also see from most of these reviews. they take long to acknowledge you and when they do, they're rude. last time i was here the waitress gave me attitude because i wanted to order my drink and food at once in a big group instead of her taking everyone's food order and then the drink order. the table was also dirty and we asked her if she could please clean it for us. she said well all the other tables are clean but ok. and then walked away to get the cleaning stuff. we got up and moved to another table because they are clean right. she saw and took her time cleaning the previous table. attitude is beyond me. it's the same waitress too. do better or don't work customer service simple.

Good spot ! Not the best but def gets the job done! The arepa comes with a lot of guacamole , which I'm not used to but tastes great. The buñuelo could have been a little more fresh and the coffee was to die for.
