"Piperade egg "revisited"; Axuria cooperative veal with gnocchi and chanterelles; "Argi Eder tart" with caramel, vanilla and yellow lemon – the menu at this spruce rustic-style restaurant comprises fine cuisine with a Basque flavour, devised by a chef with a passion for local produce. Run by the same family for generations and surrounded by greenery, the hotel it is part of is an oasis of calm." - Michelin Inspector

We stayed here for two nights part way through our walking holiday. A charming hotel in a lovely location overlooking Ainhoa. The owner was very welcoming and everything ran very smoothly. He and the staff clearly pride themselves on the standard of service. Our room was very comfortable with a good sized bed and a balcony with views over the town. A large pool with plenty of loungers made for a very relaxing afternoon. Dinners were very good and the complementary appetisers and petit fours made it feel a quality experience. One of the best breakfast offerings of the trip although stick to the coffee rather than tea.|Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the picnic provided for our walk was also excellent.

The food, the restaurant staff and the receptionist were fantastic and made our two-night stay truly special! The only downside was no access to WiFi in our room during the day or by the pool. The pool is large in size with many sun loungers to choose from and they have a fantastic pool-side service. The hotel also has a lovely collection of historic, local artifacts - really special! Highly recommended!

The hotel is lovely - very tastefully furnished with good quiet spaces and a great pool. It's just on the edge of town and very quiet. The rooms are ok - nothing special, but they're not really the main attraction. That's the restaurant. Spectacular. Fancy a glass of 1893 Armañac? You can have one, if you're prepared to pay for it! And the service was great too. We'll be back.

We stayed for 6 nights in September at the end of our holiday. The hotel was exceptional. Situated in a stunning location just outside the village with a beautiful pool and a peaceful area to relax in. The owner, Bruno, was very welcoming and helpful, sourcing a pharmacy and booking appointments for our Covid tests which had been a cause of concern for us. The rooms were very comfortable and the food, we understand prepared and cooked by Bruno’s brother was outstanding. We have stayed in many hotels over the years and never have we looked forward to our evening meal so much. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. This hotel is certainly “the pearl in the oyster” and we cannot wait to return.

WE came for a wedding and stayed 3 nights. The hotel is very quiet and the pool is very nice. It is "walking distance" from the center of the village and very easy to access and park. The Management is extremely friendly and always available to help. The food is excellent although it is not possble to just have a salad if you are not ready for a big lunch or dinner.

Beautiful traditional Basque hotel in a stunning location. The staff were great and the owner was so informative about the area. Food was of a high very high standard. They also have a pool so, an afternoon poolside looking at beautiful scenery is recommended.

We spent two August nights at Argi-Eder and ate at the restaurant both nights. The food was some of the best we ate all fortnight as we toured France and the service impeccable. Having drinks served whilst sunbathing pool-side was awesome too. ||The owners helped us find the right hiking trail to follow which was nothing short of spectacular.||The welcome was warm and we would return in a heartbeat.
