"Situated in the Bright Angel Lodge, just steps away from the trail of the same name, the Arizona Steakhouse is a relaxed restaurant with a focus on locally sourced ingredients. Xanterra Parks & Resorts, the main concessionaire at the Grand Canyon, prides itself in sustainability (in fact, much of the vegetable scraps at the South Rim restaurants are fed to the area’s mules). Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the Arizona Steakhouse is known for its green chile corn tamales, Arizona prime rib, prickly pear glazed pork ribs, and a selection of local beer, wine, and spirits." - Krista Diamond, Janna Karel

Excellent food. My wife ordered the prime rib strips with rice. I ate her rice and man alive it was gooood. I ordered the southwest burger and was in my top five all time favorites. Atmosphere was nice and the views were awesome. Highly recommend.

It is a fairly good place to eat in the area. The burgers are okay and they have a great beer selection on tap. Prices are also decent considering the location.

One of the most mediocre meals of our Route 66 road trip. Overpriced, gristly steaks. Our other food was simply nothing special. Atmosphere felt more like a diner than a fine steakhouse--very noisy because of poor acoustics. If you can get a reservation at the El Tovar Dining Room, that's a much better choice.

Outstanding view ( ask for a window seat) Good drinks. Good service. My steak was over done. Excellent place to warm up when it's cold.

We grabbed a seat for lunch around 2:30 after completing our rim to rim hike- it was the perfect place to celebrate. Great food & views. I thought we may get turned away because we walked in with our packs but it was absolutely no big deal. Staff was super nice & shared a lot of cool facts about the Grand Canyon with us! Would definitely come back.

This is not a place I would recommend. Especially the bar. I have never seen a bartender so rude and obnoxious. I felt like pouring my drink over the bar. I didn't have a chance to eat because no take out was offered. But that bartender. A definite NO.

The food was so so, the service was good, and the views over the canyon were great!

Do. Not. Eat. Here! Overpriced cafeteria level food, Terrible service. We were a table of 6 here for diner. There were 4 servers working for 8 tables, so you’d think the servers would be able to be attentive and anticipate the needs of our party. Absolutely not the case!! I had to flag down our server multiple times to ask for silverware, (not on the table) refills, and missing menu items. We ordered appetizers and entrees but all the food came out of the kitchen at the same time. No time to enjoy our soups and salads before the next course came out. The bill came to the table without asking about desserts. We asked to split the check 3 ways (a simple enough task)and we got two checks for $56 and one for $110…. If you’re going to overcharge for bad food, at LEAST provide friendly, attentive, competent service.

Yelp
Prickly pear butter and bread was a great way to start the meal. Very tasty butter! Ferrari Carano Merlot and Bread and Butter Cabernet Sauvignon wines were our choices for our meals. Rib eye steak, mashed potatoes and polenta as I'm not a broccoli eater. Salmon with broccoli and rice for one meal. Dessert: Chocolate molten cake with it truly flowing out of center! Delicious meal and my ribeye cooked exactly as medium/medium rare, but the rice and polenta were more spicy than they need be. Good service. Love eating here. We beat the crowd by arriving earlier than our reservation... and got great service.

Yelp
After not eating after breakfast, I was really looking forward to eating a nice dinner here (reservations recommended at this place), it was such a disappointment. I hate to say that the best part of the meal was the old fashioned and grapefruit vodka drink (thanks to Sean) along with the grilled artichokes (how can you mess up on that?). But on a serious note that was We ordered several mains because the food was too bland. The shrimp scampi people raved about on yelp... I'm sorry, I'm not sure what they were talking about. The dish did not have enough garlic - it was so bland that not any amount of salt made up for the dish. The protein bowl was so bland and was not touched and we ordered the tamales. My son ordered a rib eye, which was tough and it was made medium rare, but I think the issue is that he's used to eating the prime Delmonico rib eye from Sophia's steakhouse... that he asked to order him a kids cheeseburger (he did eat that up) Tortilla soup - ok Chicken tenders - good just that the ranch dressing spilled on most of them and my daughter doesn't like ranch. Overall, service was a miss. The bread basket, finished drinks, and appetizer plates were left on the table so we had to place them on the ledge by the window so we can make room for the meal. (See picture) Water was not refilled even once - we just gave us as the waitress was avoiding us. Overall, awful!

Yelp
Good service. Good basic dishes. (The smoked salmon salad isn't smoked salmon). And then I had to add 85 charactersssssssssssssss

Yelp
Restaurant with a gorgeous view of Grand Canyon sunset! The food was pretty decent, unlike many of other reviews. The prime ribs is on point, medium rare and seasoned perfectly. Ribeye steak is cooked to medium rare, a little bit too salty for my taste. Couscous crusted Steel head trout is flaky and tasty. The only dish that is a bit disappointed is the shrimp scampi, the flavor is a bit off. Overall, we had a nice Xmas eve dinner here.

Shelley S.

Yelp
The food was great. We had the bison burgers. My grandson had a steak. The waiter was prompt very nice I forgot to get his name. Robert, the manager was super kind. Thank you so much for your kindness. The Resturant was nice and relaxing. The workers were fast and efficient. Very nice lunch overall

Susan L.

Yelp
If you are in the park and want a sit down dinner there are few options. While the staff was pleasant and helpful the food was average. A step above the cafeteria food. Don't expect too much if you plan to eat here. It is nice however not having to drive outside the park for dinner so that is a plus.

Mona A.

Yelp
Fueled up with some much-needed protein and wine after hiking Grand Canyon rim to rim. Highly recommend eating here if you can get a reservation. The ribeye was delicious, and we really liked the shrimp too. Their Bread & Butter wine was a hit with my parents. They made my early birthday feel special with a delicious blueberry cheesecake, and we're looking forward to coming back soon!

Beth E.

Yelp
Sandra provided service with a smile. The entire staff worked together efficiently--cleaning, setting up, serving. Our meals were delicious and our steaks perfectly cooked to order. The side of asparagus was tender and some of the best tasting I've eaten in a long time. And one of the special desserts was a Blueberry Crumb Cheesecake that was heavenly. We savored each bite. We had a window seat and enjoyed people-watching during our meal. There were several larger groups who came in. We really like the new modern look of the restaurant now. It is bright and tastefully appointed.

Greg S.

Yelp
We've been here a few times and the experience has been varied. However, the past couple of times, it's been pretty nice. Why? Good points: - Of course, everyone wants to get a window seat but almost all the table have an awesome view. - I like the option to make a reservation and they keep the time pretty close and no wasted time to wait around. - Our server was friendly, informative, and attentive. - Portion sizes were actually pretty good. We didn't order steak but ordered pasta and it was pretty good but could use a bit more seasoning or some flavor. Bad points: - it's a tad expensive for what you get but I also understand they have to pay the staff a bit extra due to the remoteness and honestly, we're there for the Canyon.

Yelp
During our 9 day trip around the Grand Canyon, we spent a couple of days at the South Rim. Our first night, we stayed in Tusayan because they had closed all the South Rim hotels due to a water line break. However, they let the restaurants stay open. We had made reservations at Arizona Steakhouse before the water line issue, so we were on the books. We just had to drive up from our new hotel, which was less than 7 miles away, so no big deal. It was worth the trip up, as opposed to just doing dinner in Tusayan. My wife had the Shrimp Scampi, which was excellent. I had the Baby Back Ribs. The rib sauce was great, the ribs were okay. I've had awesome baby backs before, where the meat literally falls off the bone when you scrape it with a fork. Not so with these ribs. I had to cut and chew a little. The taste was good even with the extra effort. They also had some good selections on draft. I got hooked on the Oak Creek amber lager, and my wife the Prickly Pear cider, both of which we had several times over the course of our Grand Canyon tour. What really pushed me to a solid 4 star here, was the service. Caleb did a great job. He was extremely friendly and personable, was smiling every time he came to our table, and checked on us frequently enough. And sitting by a window looking right out at the canyon was amazing. This one was definitely worth the visit.

LaRae B.

Yelp
Is this the finest steakhouse ever? No. But it does the trick if you are staying in the Grand Canyon National Park and want a nicer meal. There aren't a lot of "fancier" dining options within the park so this is one of the better restaurants. Service is friendly and professional. We had cocktails, appetizers, mains, and dessert. Everything was as good as it gets at the Grand Canyon and there's a nice semi-view looking out the windows toward the South Rim. This isn't NYC or LA steak, but it's a great choice for a national park holiday. Tips: they take reservations and patrons were dressed nice, but casual.

Dave G.

Yelp
Very nice upscale restaurant on the rim of the Grand Canyon with great views and food. Reservations are highly encouraged, especially during the busy season. We were seated right away and our server greeted us quickly and took our order after explaining the menu to us. I had the Bison ribeye and my wife had the NY Strip. Both were cooked perfectly and delicious. I highly recommend coming here if you are visiting!

Phil S.

Yelp
We had the southwest salad and tortilla soup with water so we're not serious foodies. However our server Yui treated us fabulously filling my water glass 3 times (I'd just hiked 15 miles). I live in San Francisco but I have to say Yui was so nice friendly and helpful. She even laughed politely at my bad jokes (I'm 70). I just feel good when a server like Yui is on the job. I hope Yui had some better customers who might eat steak and drink wine( I don't eat meat or drink anymore). So, Yui--thank you!

Joshua C.

Yelp
Normally I dont leave reviews but this place was so spectacular I had to. The service was so quick and friendly and very attentive to our table. The steak and salad we got was to die for. And the views were amazing, we were seated with the most amazing sunset views of the grand canyon. Lastly, they were so very kind to accomodate a reservation change last minute. I recommend making a reservation ahead of time. Thank you!

Katie C.

Yelp
Enjoyed a birthday meal here on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon at sunset! We had made reservations in advance and got a window seat for the special occasion which was much appreciated. We enjoyed the view of the mountains and overall atmosphere was pleasant. We enjoyed the shrimp and southwestern Caesar salad, prickly pear margarita, and the ribeye with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Highly recommend!

Danny S.

Yelp
My family took a trip to the Grand Canyon with a friend. We went to the Arizona Steakhouse for dinner and had a terrific experience. Our server, Christopher, was exceptional and we had a wonderful evening. The food was great and the setting was obviously spectacular. Thank you!

Ryan B.

Yelp
We only received 2/3 of our appetizers. One entree came 20 minutes later than the others. $22 for an old fashioned?--especially when Trey had to be reminded to bring them? When asked about the price his response was (I kid you not) 'because of our Federal contract we only make a couple of dollars on food so have to make up for it on drinks.' My wife ordered a bottle of wine. Instead a glass of a different wine was presented. After it was sent back we were told 'the bottle is 86'd.' Steaks were tough and overcooked. Sides were cold--we'd have sent them back but no one bothered to ask us how everything came out. 2 adults and 3 kids and our total bill was over $350 before tip. It was completely offensive.

Faye C.

Yelp
The waiter was very nice, food was good and has a great view of the canyon. Tried to go to El Tovar, but it was booked, so we went here. I enjoyed it and would go back when up at the canyon.

Cheryl M.

Yelp
The service was good, the ambience only so so. The food was edible, but not great, and I would probably look for other options before returning here.

Evelyn A.

Yelp
Came here twice this year. I should have read my last review I had the burger which was good, the pulled pork (sauce was overly sweet, but pork was great) with coleslaw (HUGE inedible pieces of cabbage and WAY to much sauce ) Fries were excellent this time and the service and iced tea were amazing. Second time we both had the prime rib sandwich and forgot to get a side of horseradish, so it was a bit bland but better than anything else in the area. Fries good again. Second time here this trip the iced tea was great again and server was amazing. View is still great

Cynthia G.

Yelp
I would definitely recommend having dinner here. I had a ribeye steak & pearly margarita. A plus is that you have a view to the Grand Canyon mountains. Service was amazing staff was super nice.

Mara T.

Yelp
We visited this place today and were incredibly disappointed!!! How can you call it a steakhouse and NOT have the main star of the show available?!! All we wanted was a ribeye steak that was the first thing (on the left) listed on the menu of this STEAKHOUSE, and the first thing our waiter said when we sat down was "Oh, we don't have any ribeye today" Wtf?!! Who does inventory?!? We should have got up and walked right out, but we had a train to catch and the other 2 places to eat were full for that time period - wait list closed and zero availability. So we ordered the prime rib sandwich dip and that was nothing to write home about. The au jus could have used some more flavor. It was very bland and boring. Anyway, I definitely won't be dining here again if we return to the Grand Canyon. ***Also, there's a small area to the left upon entering, that read "Order Drinks Here" - basically it's the bar, but there was NOOOOO bartender tending the bar ?!!! So, we asked the very busy waiters/servers if anyone manned the bar to make us a drink and their response was that they didn't have a bartender. One of your waiters/servers was kind enough to offer to try and make us a drink - said he'd try, which we really appreciated because it's not their fault the establishment doesn't staff a bar/steakhouse w/a bartender. Anyway...5 stars go to your one waiter/server (he had a gnarly haircut and looked Filipino) who was more attentive to us than our actual server and even offered to try and make us a drink. 1 star for the food, it was meh. 1 star for the location (under some kind of construction & difficult to find) ROBERT IRVINE and JON TAFFER, I challenge you...PLEASE HELP THEM!!!

Shari M.

Yelp
Both meals were mouth watering, tender & absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere & view of the canyon. Our server, David, was wonderful. Definitely recommend

James W.

Yelp
Arizona Steakhouse looks like the 2nd fine dining spot in the south rim park. The appearance is a bit more casual than the Tovar Hotel without a dress code. A reservation is advised if you wish to dine anytime near the sunset hours. The dining room does have a good view of the canyon with a good number of window seating. I don't really consider this a true steakhouse. There are steaks on the menu, but you'll only see your standard strip, ribeye, and fillet. A prime roast rib may be available. The rest of the menu assort ment is fish, burger, and chicken. Pastas and salads complete the entree list. As you may notice, many of the restaurants in the park have similar menu items. From the appetizers to the entrees and to the desserts. The pricing is similar, but the differences are in the table linens and service. The service is excellent here, and they do have a full-looking bar. Unfortunately, on my visit, the bar was ill-equipped to make several kinds of standard drinks. I guess, this is a national park and not an urban restaurant.

Yelp
Arizona Steak House at the Grand Canyon. Great food, great view... Ordered from the lunch menu. Ordered was BBQ pulled pork sandwich and Grilled Chicken Club. Drinks... Shriveled Apple Mule which is a must try and a beer on tap. What blew my taste buds? Don't laugh.... the fries!!!! How on earth can their French Fries taste soo good??? Dunno how they did it but that was the Great surprise. It doesn't hurt that you see the Majestic Grand Canyon when you look out the window either! Try them out when at the South Rim! @socalweekendwalkarounds Check out my You Tube Short on the Arizona Steak House https://youtu.be/bUU16ZSv09s

Yelp
If I tell you I had the best tamales I've ever had at a steak house, what would you think of that? I'm telling you these vegetarian tamales were the best!! The masa was just perfection. It was light and so flavorful. The filling was just spicy enough. And that tomato "relish" on top just made it ridiculously crave worthy. I mean, this was our first trip to the Grand Canyon and it was spectacular. But I'd go back just for those tamales. I'm serious! Of course, Dave had the ribeye steak and ate every bit of it. I mean every bit! It came with mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. He loved these sides as well but, let's face it, it was all about that delicious, perfectly cooked-to-order steak. And don't forget about the view. Just wow!! Indescribably WOW!! Everything about this meal was wonderful.

Jason H.

Yelp
I was hesitant seeing the mixed reviews but glad we went. Steaks and prime rib were amazing! Some of the. EST prime rib I've had. Service was great too and very friendly.

Linda R.

Yelp
The staff. My goodness the staff. Maybe some people weren't meant to work with customers. We should have read reviews first before dining but since our choices were limited, we decided to go for it. We weren't greeted by the host. Just a curt - "How many? You'll have to wait a few mins." Ok... We were seated and our waitress was just as welcoming as the host. Did something happen that day to piss off every member of the staff? It shows and everyone saw it. Our table had a nice view of the canyon. That was about all of the high points. The food was the same as the service. At least they are consistent, right? One star for consistency! Ha. My kids had very dry chicken breast pieces that we couldn't even cut through. I had to pick it up to tear through it. My turkey wrap had an off putting aioli sauce that tasted like rancid olives. I had to take it apart and eat the edible pieces. I didn't dare return the food to the kitchen. I wouldn't trust the replacement food. My husband's burger was overcooked and the bread was stale. The location is the only thing this restaurant has going for it. And unfortunately, they'll stay in business because of new guests visiting the park. Maybe more and more people would stay away and something would change. Maybe...

Lisa D.

Yelp
So glad we tried Arizona Steakhouse, even after reading some negative reviews. We were a party of 2 and were able to be sat at a window table at 8:30 pm after catching sunset. There is a walk up bar and a little lounge area when you walk in the door, but of course you can order a drink at your table as well. We started with tortilla black bean soup and a southwest style Caesar salad, both that included beans and crushed tortillas. I had a delicious prime rib, served with yummy mac & cheese and perfectly cooked asparagus and horseradish on the side. Hubby had a ribeye cooked to his preferred medium temperature. For dessert, we shared the apple crisp which was also yummy but could have had a bigger scoop of ice cream to avoid fighting over it. Overall, very pleased with the food and the service. Total bill with 2 drinks, apps, entrees and a shared dessert was $194 including a 20% tip.

Yelp
My wife and I were visiting Grand Canyon Village on the Grand Canyon Railway. Since the excursion is from 9:30 am-5:45 pm and you are at the Village from 11:45 am-3:30 pm, we wanted to grab lunch. There are not that many restaurants in the Village, and so, even in early May, the place had a long wait. They take your number and text you when the table is ready. We were told it would be a 40 minute way (we checked in at 12:30) but the table was ready in about 25 minutes. The interior is nothing to write home about but their windows face the Rim. We were fortunate to get a window table. It took a while for our server, Carly, to get to us. We ordered the shaved prime rib sandwiches with steak fries, and I had a beer. The food came out in a timely fashion. The prime rib was tender and tasty, but made the brioche bun soggy on the bottom portion, causing the sandwich to fall apart easily. The steak fries were not as crisp as I like. Carly was nice, but her service was average. She checked back very briefly once we started eating and then seemed to disappear. We had to flag her down for a soda refill for my wife. I think you come here for the nice views more than the food and, of course, your food establishment choices are limited in Grand Canyon Village. The prices are actually pretty resonable considering the location, if you don't go for a steak.

mrbeastmoneyhere

Yelp
This place sucks all the food are cheap and service sucks the only good part is you have a view of the grand canyon. I really wish i had a better experience.

Barbara T.

Yelp
Great food, views & service. Ordered the filet & friend had prime rib. Absolutely delicious! Our server was Trey, he was great. Definitely recommend this place.

Lina M.

Yelp
Nick's exceptional service truly stood out during our visit to this restaurant. However, I have to admit that the food left something to be desired. The prices seemed a bit steep for what was offered on the menu. It's an ideal location for tourists due to its prime spot, but if you're seeking an extraordinary culinary experience, you might want to explore other options.

Ali B.

Yelp
The view and location = 5 stars Food = 3.5 stars unfortunately Service = 5 stars Bar while you wait = 10 stars!!! This is located conveniently on the Rim Trail of the Grand Canyon South Rim, and is one of only a handful of sit down dining options. Although we didn't try any of the other options, this may be the best for the area! We arrived around 1pm, prime lunch time and were told it would be an hour wait. We decided to go for it seeing that they had a small bar and waiting area - and ordered a local beer and cocktail! I ordered the prime rib sandwich (like a French dip) but was confused by the very small sauce container which didn't allow for any dipping... My husband ordered the salmon (because he didn't trust the steak even though it's a steakhouse ) which was over cooked. But we were seated at the window and the views and people watching on the trail were awesome!

Claudine L.

Yelp
The Bison Burger did it! After getting off the bus, all we could think about was food. I saw the restaurant sign after walking a bit from the Bright Angel bus stop. Despite the pricey food, they have a good view of the Grand Canyon! We just wanted to sit down, eat and rest for a bit. Upon checking the menu, my boys saw the Bison Rib Eye Steak right away. Unfortunately, our server said that is not available but they have Bison Burger for the day. My boys tried that while I got the Southwestern Angus Burger and for dessert we picked the Apple Crisp with Vanilla Ice Cream. My burger tasted good; like everything is when you're hungry. But the Bison Burger was cool and new to us! It does have a bit of an after taste but glad to know how Bison taste like... it was a good experience and we enjoyed our meal!

Joseph S.

Yelp
Staying in the Grand Canyon Village we came here for an early dinner. The service was alright but nothing spectacular, the view of course is pretty nice, it's a little low to the ground so it's not an amazing view either. Now the food, first off it's pretty pricey, $40-$50 entrees. That is all good if the food backs it up. And it by far does not back it up. Food is below average, dry steak, dry salmon. Just not good. It gets by because of the view but really forgettable meal. If your looking at this just know what you are getting. Conscience and a view

Glen L.

Yelp
A solid restaurant. Honestly, I was expecting the prices to be steeper, but they were overall a good value for what you got. I had initially booked a reservation at the El Tovar Dining Room but ended up coming here on a whim. The NY Strip was fine. The side of fingerling potatoes and vegetables was also OK. Decent wine list. Service was generally efficient, but servers can get overwhelmed with different waves of guests.

Matt C.

Yelp
Arizona Steakhouse is a restaurant steps away from the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and Bright Angel Trail and lookout points. The elephant in the room is that is has two steaks on the menu, hence it's not technically a steakhouse. You've been warned. Dad and I watched the sunset for the second night in a row and Arizona Steakhouse was a stone's throw away from our viewing spot. We figured there'd be no way we'd score a table immediately since everyone was flocking indoors for the night, but somehow we did. Score! The restaurant is attached to the Bright Angel Lodge and to be honest, seems like a very confused afterthought. It wouldn't surprise me if the restaurant was fairly new or had gone through some renovations recently. Again when you picture "steakhouse" you don't envision white walls and tofu protein bowls. It's an odd layout and had to have been a different type of restaurant prior. TLDR: I could harp on the steakhouse element for paragraphs on end, but I don't want to beat a dead horse. It's just beyond weird to me...there are two steaks on the menu! You might as well call it Arizona Salad House because there are two salads on the menu. The saving grace is that our Prime Rib dinners were great. Each entrée comes with two sides and in our case, Au Jus and horseradish. The sides were a miss, but they cooked a mean prime rib. We ate three steak dinners three nights in a row, and this was the best one we had in the area. Cooked to our liking, tender and flavorful. Our waiter (who was an interesting character) talked us into dessert and we're glad we did. The flan was excellent. Overall, a very good meal. But damn, the space and decor and no background music made for a bizarre dining experience. If you want a spot with a little more charm, there are better options nearby. But credit where credit is due, the kitchen knows how to prepare a good piece of meat!

Yelp
3.5. We had lunch here on a Saturday and it was pretty good. Pros: -Prices were very fair - $6-7 for kids meals, $15-20 sandwich meals, and my husband had the off menu lunch steak special for $37. Not the best steak ever but for the price it was good. Bar menu is also good. - No issues with food quality. - THE VIEW - We didn't have to wait for a table. Next door was a 45 minute wait. - Service was pretty good, our waiter was knowledge and good with refills Cons: - Bathroom was kind of gross - This is not really a steakhouse vibe... So don't expect that. Much more mid low end in terms of decor (but like I said the view so so cares)

Betty C.

Yelp
So at first we thought this was going to be a bad choice (steakhouse in the Grand Canyon?) however it was a much better value than the El Tovar dining room. Granted it was our third night's and by then we were able to eat on real plates with real cutlery and glassware so that helps at this stage much better. Our server was very thorough regarding our menu options and he was very courteous. The drinks were much tastier in glass than in plastic cups - prickly pear margarita was well balanced and the Javelina with gin and cucumber was refreshing. The NY Strip was slightly overcooked but tasty with the mushroom topping and the agave chicken with tomatillo pineapple salsa was surprisingly tasty. They were short on staff (as most restaurants are now after Covid) so the place was only half full at best and they were turning away people at the door. If staying here we would return to this restaurant.

John L.

Yelp
The main restaurant of the Bright Angel lodge. It looks over the Grand Canyon. I actually liked the food at this restaurant better than the El Tovar dining room. They are both overpriced like crazy, but you don't have too many options when staying in the Grand Canyon village. The market salad was good. Seemed fresh enough. For the main entrees the green chile corn tamales are probably the best thing there. There was a special that day, the thai trout. Sounds like an unusual flavor profile but it was pretty good. Didn't try the steak. It was the same price and same cut of meat as the El Tovar dining room and it wasn't very good the night before.

Sofia K.

Yelp
I am surprised to see so many bad reviews for this restaurant. My husband and I had a wonderful experience dining there. The food was delicious (we got Ribeye and NY Strip) and the staff was very attentive. Our waiter was great and I'd give him a shoutout if I remembered his name. Overall, I'd recommend the restaurant

Brendan L.

Yelp
This place bills or promotes itself as a nice, higher end steakhouse but it's not that at all. Well the prices are. Very poor value for money. The service was mediocre at best, not very pleasant and offered up nothing. As an example had to ask multiple times for some bread; didn't come back to ask for another round of drinks until after dinner and before we'd even halfway finished dinner was back asking about desert. The menu for a steakhouse had only 3 steaks and was very limited. Nothing interesting at all on the menu. The actual food was a real disappointment; poor cuts of meat, mashed potatoes drowning in brown gravy and overcooked. I order a NY strip that was way over cooked and so thin that I thought maybe it was a cut in half? There is a nice view if you are seated correctly, otherwise it feels like you are eating in a cafeteria. Avoid it don't waste the mi way.

Yelp
We did try Arizona Steakhouse. I guess it has its name because it sells steaks, otherwise we to use it looked like a cafeteria with a nice view. Our food was tasty, service was good and fast. I got a prime rib sandwich and my husband got a cheeseburger. Limited menu and the salads are very small for the price. Sorry I missed the pic.

Yelp
Decent dining option on the South Rim on the Grand Canyon located right in the heart of GC Village at Bight Angel Lodge. My boyfriend and I were staying at Bright Angel Lodge and chose to dine here prior to our big hike (S. Kaibab to Phantom Ranch to Bright Angel) the next morning. We figured a nice hearty steak would fill us up well for the next day. We made reservations for 5p (website states that reservations are highly recommended). When we first got there, I had no idea why because the place seemed dead. But as we were leaving, it had filled up and there were a ton of people waiting in the lobby. So would recommend reservations. It gets more filled up starting around 6p. We were seated right away by the window and could see the tip of the Canyon from our table. Very cool! I ordered a Grand Canyon Mule to drink. It was so good and I highly recommend! I also got a salad, steak, potatoes, and cheesecake for dessert. Steak was just okay. Not the best cut of meat and felt like it was cooked more well than medium well. The cheesecake was probably my favorite thing (aside from the mule), but it was such a small, tiny slice! Value isn't the best for what you get here. Overall, the food is decent, but nothing that will wow you. If you want a nice sit-down dining experience in the area, this one may be your best option, especially if staying near Grand Canyon Village.

Yelp
As I walked into the AZ Steakhouse, I was greeted by 2 friendly hosts, Leroy and Tom. As I got sat, I was greeted with yummy bread by the wonderful and charismatic server, Ms.Kailey Shea! She was very attentive and sweet. Food was phenomenal, compliments to the chefs, Ryland and JJ! Service and the experience was second to none, 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
We've been to Grand Canyon National Park several times, but we had never eaten here before. Of course, you can't beat the view, no matter the weather. I was all set to order the filet mignon off the menu, but then our waiter (Caleb, who provided stellar service) rattled off the specials, which included different sides, and I was instantly sold: BACON-WRAPPED filet mignon with asparagus and mushroom risotto. You can't beat that with a stick! It was prepared precisely to my medium-rare specifications. I also had a Cherry Old Fashion cocktail (bourbon, Bordeaux cherry bitters, orange) that was quite tasty. I'll add photos of both plus the killer chocolate molten cake we shared for dessert. My husband, still full from lunch, only ordered an appetizer (tortilla black bean soup: black beans, hominy, corn, green chili, fire roasted tomatoes, southwest spices, chipotle pepper, tortilla strips) and a beer (prickly pear IPA). No photos of those, sorry. A very tasty meal with great service and a great view!

Yelp
Not sure why this restaurant only gets 2.8 stars but maybe the time of year and how busy it gets is a factor. We were here late Nov after the busy Thanksgiving Weekend and were pleasantly surprised. Our server was excellent and the food was quite good for an on-site National Park restaurant. I had the roast beef, and hubby had the bison burger, everything was very good. Prices were not out of line for a nice restaurant experience.

Yelp
Our server was lovely, but save your money and go to one of the Taverns. I had the bison ribeye which was over cooked and salty tasting.. I substituted rice for the mashed potatoes and it was like eating from a salt lick. Asparagus was overdone and mushy. The windows were so filthy it was completely unappetizing.
