The Best Restaurants In Bentonville

"If you require spice or need comforting takeout, try this Korean counter service spot on the edge of downtown. It’s pretty casual—all food is served in containers even if you’re eating at the restaurant—so don’t plan a big night out here. But the lunchtime fried chicken special (get the spicy soy garlic) and the sweet-spicy tteokbokki are both incredible, and a nice change of pace from the city’s American options. Of their meats, we recommend the pork marinated in gochujang. No matter what you order, bank on buying a side of kimchi and extra gochujang sauce. There are no cocktails, but the Korean grape sodas with jellies do a good job of cooling you down." - ryan bernsten

I'm going to have to assume I came on a bad day. First off they have no beef until next Monday. No explanation just they're completely out of half of their menu. Secondly I ordered boneless wings they came with bones. Not the worst thing but not what I ordered. Third thing I ordered tteokbokki which cost $9 on "sale". They gave me ten tteokbokki. They were swimming in so much sauce it was an ocean. They do know these are made from rice right? They aren't expensive. They cause maybe a penny a piece to make? Completely ripped off here. The pah jeon we're horrible doughy bits of nonsense. I don't know what the hell they were thinking here but this is not pah jeon. So I'm not sure if this is just a bad day or they live in the middle of the country so they think people don't know what good Korean is but this is terrible Korean. I have not actually had worse Korean anywhere in the world. I've had Korean on three different continents. This is terrible.

I visited this place two days in a row. On the first day, the staff was really kind and took the time to understand my preference. They let me know about the day’s offer and suggested the spicy chicken teriyaki, which was delicious! They also mentioned that they had $1 wings the next day, so I came back to try them—and they were just as good! Great experience!

Google
A great place for a quick bite of Korean cuisine. They have everything from Tteokbokki to Bulgolgi to Bokkeumbap. Personally tried the Kimchi Bokkeumbap and Korean Fried Chicken. Both were very good, and it had a very open atmosphere.

This was our first time at ArkanSeoul and we were not disappointed. The food was flavorful, prices good, and portions were definitely large enough we had leftovers to take home. And the staff was great, especially Brody! (Give that boy a raise!) He made the experience very pleasant. He was very knowledgeable and attentive to our needs since we have dietary restrictions. ArkanSeoul will definitely become a regular dinner spot for us!

First time trying Arkanseoul, we were very pleased! Wonderful food, warm service, and very clean! We had the Japchae Noodles and Spicy Teriyaki Chicken Bowl, side of kimchi. Everything was fantastic, full of flavor and very well prepared. Highly recommend, we will be back!

Google
Super YUMMY food. My husband and I both had the spicy teriyaki bowl and egg rolls. It did take a bit longer than one would expect but it was well worth it to get hot, fresh and delicious food!

Google
Me and my wife love korean food, we tried many places are northwest arkansas, this place is the best! Their location is behind the boba place, so i also could get some boba, the glass noodle and their korean fried chicken are my favorites!! Everything is good! They also have the Korean corn dog as well! 100/100 👌👌

Google
This is an excellent Korean restaurant that seems very authentic! As a vegetarian, there are very few options, but I tried #4 Japchae Noodles. They were prepared with care and were really fresh, however a bit too oily for my taste. Additionally, they did seem really light - I might need to add an egg to make them more filling in the future. The staff is very friendly. I wish there was more seating because it did seem to get a bit crowded during lunchtime on a weekday.

Yelp
Came in today for lunch I order the bentobox with beef it was amazing will definitely stop by again while I'm in town I love their house kimchi!!!!! The server was nice gave me a run down with the menu very helpful

Yelp
Disappointed. Have to agree with a few reviewers that on a recent visit, the quality of food has decreased while the price has increased. The bulgogi looked and tasted as if it were leftovers from previous day or had it been sitting out all day. Dried out, not tender, lacking flavor and quality. My wings were flavorless, not prepared as ordered and slimy on the inside. Not edible. Not worth a repeat at $50 for 2 people. Also, the girl taking order/ counter service was not friendly. Hope you bring back original quality and flavor.

Yelp
The food is not authentic Korean. We recently moved from SoCal and didn't have high expectations, but we were pretty disappointed with both the food and service. We ordered tteokbokki, kimchi pork dosirak, and a Korean hotdog with mozzarella and potato, but none of the dishes were enjoyable. On top of that, we had digestion issues because the sauce had too much MSG. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place, especially at this price point.

Yelp
To go order. My kimchi was not with my food. The food itself needs more flavor. Portion sizes are weird. Rice to meat ratio is too much.

Yelp
My brother was craving some chicken wings and this place hit the spot! Why go to any other place when you can get some nice crispy juicy KFC. Arkansas really brings the seoul to Arkansas! We got the Buffalo garlic chicken wings and a fat mozzarella corn dog rolled in spicy hot Cheeto dust. It was fantastic. We were also helped by a very nice young man who made sure that our experience was one of a kind. Incredible flavor and good value!

Yelp
I was super excited to try this place! Especially when some of the banchan is a mystery, I loved that aspect. The banchan we had was a seaweed salad and delicious spicy/sweet fish cake. I was hopeful the kimchi would be awesome, but I was confused when I tasted it. It was citrusy? Not my favorite. And I love kimchi. The one thing I was really disappointed in was the galbi. Really greasy and doused in a greasy sauce that got on everything on the plate. Just kind of ruined it for me. I'll try them again! Just not the galbi, and hopefully someone will tell me why the kimchi is weirdly lemony.

Yelp
The fooood was delish. Both had some crunchhh on it. The Korean dawgssss had the cheese pull going on which my kidssss loved& the chicken was flavorful! Staff seemed nicee ... Tbh I think the onlyyy thing that sucked for me is it's location!. I mean the time I went was around 420 and there was maaaad traffic so it was hard to get in but oh sooo difficult to get out ..well in the direction I was coming and going . Soo findd the right time to go ..or better yet make some time to eat in and watch the traffic, its worth it.

Yelp
Wonderful quick stop..... having to give 5 stars because they accommodated my gluten free needs. They are located close to BHS which made a great stop after the soccer game. The Bulgogi was heavy on the rice and not much sauce but my daughter said the flavor was great. The sweet potato noodles were great and actually paired really well with the bulgogi bowl.

Yelp
We visited Bentonville for a weekend and had dinner here one night. Their chicken katsu was amazing! It has ruined chicken katsu for me because I will probably never have one that was as good as it was at Arkanseoul. They also had fun drink and chip selections.

Yelp
Was so excited to try this place out and was very disappointed. Rice was mushy/paste-like on the outside, yet crunchy and not fully cooked on the inside. (Horrible combination) We had to send both bowls back. The employees gave us each a remade bowl which was appreciated, but once we left we ended up throwing them away. The kimchi fried rice seriously lacked flavor and was not appealing texture wise either. The best part of that dish was the fried egg I paid extra for to go on top. Spicy chicken teriyaki bowl was better, but still not even close to good. Meat had a super funky texture. Dumplings were great, egg was great, kimchi that came as a side was great, and the tabasco siracha was something we hadn't seen before but really liked. Sadly not enough for us to want to come back.

Yelp
We had been there a year ago and loved it. But now after the new owners, it's not so good. We went there last week and the bulgogi was just so bland, like plain boiled meat. My wife ask was about it and they just cook it in broth, with apparently no sauce. Probably won't go back. Service was good, and the waitress was very helpful.

Yelp
#MondayLunch First time visit to this small well lit restaurant that seats about 18 ppl. Easy shared parking with bubble tea shop and thrift stores next door. Menu displayed over head with 2 large LCD displays and great photos on the side wall to match up numbers. Korean pop music blares in the background. I ordered the Beef Bulgogi Bowl and Egg Roll appetizer. Bill without tip was $23.98. Food Taste 4/5, Portions 5/5, Service 5/5, Cleanliness 5/5. Will visit again. Thank you for bringing variety to NWA.

Yelp
Ordered the beef bulgogi bowl, side of kimchi, french fries, and pineapple drink. Food came out within minutes. Bowl was pretty good, but tbh there wasn't much beyond beef, rice, and onions. Fries were skinny and mostly crisp. Nice and peppery. Pineapple drink was also very nice until I realized there was pulp in it. Food's a bit pricier than I'd like, and I also found a couple small hairs in the bowl, but it's a nice place otherwise.

Yelp
Unfortunately the portion sizes do not match the prices given. Food tasted great though! Authentic taste.

Yelp
So I got this delivered to my hotel via Grubhub. I was totally surprised there would be a Korean restaurant in Bentonville. I got a combo plate that included Galbi and spicy pork. This was pretty good. The highlight was the homemade kimchi. The bad part, it was only a quarter-cup serving. The Galbi was alright. I live in LA and have had fantastic Galbi. This was oddly flavored. The spicy pork was great, though. Plenty of rice to fill up on. The banchan was okay. I guess you get the luck of the draw and would have preferred something other than overcooked broccoli, like Sukjunamul, Kkakdugi, or Saengchae. However, they did include Namul.

Yelp
Great place! My son enjoyed the chicken and rice! Great customer service! Will definitely be back!

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Hot food, delicious food, great service, and clean. Convenient location. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Food is amazing and service was great! Will be going back often can't wait to try all the different options.

Yelp
Nice little Korean spot for lunch! The food has always been delicious every time. The food can take a really long time to come out. So be prepared for that. They always serve their food in to-go containers, which is fine. Though I enjoy eating here, it is a bit pricey. However, I'm always down to support our local businesses.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was good. I got the spicy pork bulgogi bowl and it was done well. It's not a traditional Korean place with all the side items as only a small container of Kimchi came with it. It felt like Korean fast food more than a dining experience. Good food but if you're used to traditional Korean this isn't the place.

Yelp
The food was realy realy amazingly good. The staff are friendly. The music is awsome and catchy. Nice, clean restaurant. My fiance had the terrific chicken bowl, I had the Tteokbokki and we shared a half and half Korean corn dog and the vegetable mandu. The sauce the tteokbokki sauce was so flavorful and had the perfect spice level. 10/10 recomend. My fiance and myself will deffinatly be eating hear again

Yelp
After a long ride from Dallas to Bentonville I felt like eating some comfort food and was glad that arkanseoul offers DoorDash to our Airbnb. Based on the reviews and menu I was hopeful that it would be good. First their menu is pretty decent offering a variety of food and a kids menu. But just fyi who orders from DoorDash. Their menu price is slightly higher than arkanseoul actually charges. So don't get misleadsd thinking it's quite expensive As the kids menu chicken and rice was about 9.50$ And my kimchi fried rice with added beef bulgogi was about 18$. Compare to other Korean restaurants I have been too not cheap. The food I would rate more like a 3 1/2 stars. The Korean plain chicken reminded me more of chicken nuggets and they add green onions and sesame seeds. So if your kids don't like these toppings don't forget to ask to take them off. My kimchi fried rice was really just okay. But I have to say their beef bulgogi was pretty good. The beef was seasoned so well (right balance between salty and sweet) and the meat was tender. So based on that alone definitely solid 4 stars! This restaurant is conveniently located in bentonville downtown for us visitors a nice option for sure!

Yelp
A casual atmosphere and such a cute restaurant! You place your order at the front and wait at your table for them to bring over the food. Kind and welcoming staff. We were brought our food in less than 15 minutes! You could tell everything was homemade and fresh. It was my first time having Korean food and now I am hooked! I loved my spicy pork bowl and the side of homemade kimchi (delicious)! There was a great option for more picky eaters, the Korean boneless chicken wings, which are like fluffy fried chicken nuggets. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
I can already tell this is going to be a new favorite place for us. You can order online for pickup or go inside to order, however, seating is limited. We ordered the Bentonville Dosirak and Kimchi Bokkeum Bap, which were both tasty. The real winner was the order of KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) wings which were spicy and flavorful. I could eat them everyday.

Yelp
I have been looking forward to trying this restaurant for some time. When you walk in, it is very small - maybe 1- tables and you order at the register. The menu is quite large and hanging high on the wall and since it is in Korean with translation it is very difficult to take it all in and there is no printed menu. It is obvious they really don't want you eating in as all meals are served in to go containers. I had the Spicy Hogs Wild Dosirak which is pork Bulgogi. I ordered with an egg. The dish was flavorful and looked appetizing. My low score was based on difficulty ordering, being served in to go orders and just not an inviting spot to eat in.
google avatar

Priscilla H.

Yelp
Love love the dumplings here, they are called Pork Mandy I'm told you gay them in chicken as well I definitely going to try those. I'm so addicted!
google avatar

Craig R.

Yelp
Great find while traveling through was excited to find a fast food Korean restaurant. I got a mixed plate with sliced ribeye and galbi. Everything was really good but I was hoping that the kimchi had that kick but it didn't. Got the spicy garlic soy bone in wings again no spice. The wings were big the batter was big also but it overall didn't have much flavor.
google avatar

Tim J.

Yelp
First time visit for a Saturday lunch. I tried the Beef Bulgogi Bowl and was happy with my choice. The portion was large for a lunch IMO. The restaurant is small with limited seating and is showing its age from normal use. Floors appeared to not have been swept or mopped from the prior nights closing. Food taste/quality rated as a 4. Curb appeal and cleanliness are a 3 and need attention.
google avatar

Maggie W.

Yelp
Hit the spot for what we were looking for. Food was amazing and nice atmosphere. Would definitely come back!!

Yelp
Absolutely loved my dining experience at Arkanseoul The flavors in every dish were incredibly delicious. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance had a cozy and welcoming vibe. the kimchi was top-notch. I highly recommend trying the spicy pork bulgogi bowl ,it was a delightful mix of flavors and textures. Overall, a delightful dining experience that left me craving for more. Will definitely be back soon!"

Yelp
Fantastic customer service, perfectly cooked ingredients, and the sauces are crafted with wonderful balance of flavor. 10/10 recommend, my meal was absolutely delicious and I can't wait to have this again!

Yelp
The food is always delicious! The staff is always friendly. I am NEVER disappointed when i take my family. From what I see they get a lot of pickup orders. It's a small dinning area but it's never crowded, which is surprising for how good it is.

Nicole C.

Yelp
I can't believe the positive reviews this place has!!! We tried it for the first time because of such great reviews and we've had great and authentic korean food in the past and felt like korean. First of all it looked absolutely dirty and the floors were very sticky, and a lot of flies around!! The table we sat at was not wiped down as well as the seats. There was a very limited menu on the board. The food I originally wanted to order they didn't have or ran out. Obviously, whoever the owners are have hired very young out of school workers who have no experience at all with athentic korean food. Just the whole feel of this place was "rundown." Basically, it was a horrible experience and now I know why I always see it empty when I drive past. It's such a wonder why it hasn't closed down yet because it's been there for a long time and have always wanted to try it out. Why oh why are the reviews so great???!!!! I am truly confused. We've had korean food so many times, and truly authentic korean, and this is NOWHERE near it!!!! At least we tried it and won't be back there again. I don't like leaving negative reviews but this was our experience there.

Kole N.

Yelp
The food at Arkanseoul is really top notch. We got the tteokbokki, soy garlic bone-in wings, and the pah jeon. Everything exceded my expectations.
google avatar

Stephanie D.

Yelp
Ordered take out and food was ready right on time. We got the bulgogi dosirak and spicy hog dosirak. The bulgogi was very dry and lacked some flavor. The spicy hog had good flavor and was not super spicy. The fried egg i added was small and didnt have any flavor. The banchan dishes were macaroni salad and pickled radish. Having the pickled radish and kimchi made the dish too salty but the macaroni salad added some sweetness. Considering this is one of the few korean spots in town, might come back and try more.
google avatar

Deric Y.

Yelp
Had the Bentonville, Spicy Hog and one order each of the pork and veggie mandu. Rice was perfect and the beef and pork were both quality cuts of meat and tasted great! Already returned for round 2. Can't wait to try the fried chicken dishes, but can't bring myself not to get the Bentonville. Lol Also got a cold coffee that was kpop certified so you know it was fresh. But seriously. The food was awesome!
google avatar

Alex R.

Yelp
Bentonville finally has a quality Korean food place. How do you know that it's quality? The food is tasty and feels like homemade. There is restaurant food and there's homemade food. I can't eat restaurant food every day - it's heavy or just doesn't taste right. I can eat at Arkanseoul everyday day. The food is fresh and has a distinct quality homemade feel. Kimbap was great. Dubu Dosirak is a large plate with tofu, veggies, noodles and spicy sauce. Kimchi has a nice kick. There's a kids menu and cute Korean soft drinks.
google avatar

Kmc D.

Yelp
Overpriced and under performing taste. I have had much better tasting Korean food in Atlanta. The entree sizes are small. The scallion pan cake was soggy and under cooked.. the kimchi fried rice lacked any taste as there is not much kimchi to flavor it.I went back after picking up the order to see if it was a mistake. I was told that's just the size. Not sure if I want to go back.

Suong P.

Yelp
I had the beef Bulgogi with fried rice to go. It was pretty salty. Also they put fried rice and beef Bulgogi together so the fried rice got really wet from the Bulgogi sauce. I'm not impressed and probably won't be coming back.
google avatar

Kylie W.

Yelp
It's a walk up and order then wait, or you can order ahead. The chicken was well cooked and tasted great the crunchy exterior was quite pleasant. There really is no aesthetic or atmosphere inside. It's loud and a bit harsh as far as lighting and experience. I would recommend take out here but not a dine in experience.

Nick W.

Yelp
Visiting from KC and came here for lunch. Absolutely loved it. Would travel back to Beltonville just to eat here again.
google avatar

Matt F.

Yelp
Been here many times since that first visit (est. 25-30 times, as recently as a week ago). The food is still solid, but it has never recaptured the magic of that first visit. Some of the finishing touches and recipes seem to have changed; the bulgogi has not reached the heights of that first trip and seems to have fewer ingredients and/or finishing touches (no green onion or visible white/sweet onion). The jeon (pancakes) are also different, as they now have a fair bit of corn in them, which is just not something that I personally prefer. The sides/banchan included in the Dosirak box are always solid, but tbh the price for two banchan and rice with bulgogi is more than I'd expect. Previously, on occasion, rolled omelette was a side, but I haven't seen that in quite some time. My favorite current item on their menu is the spicy pork Dosirak box, although the quantity of pork vs rice seems to have decreased a fair bit over time, from 50-60% meat to ~33% meat. I still order from them when I'm in Bentonville when I don't want to drive to Lafayette for Korean food, but am still waiting for them to recapture that magic that I experienced initially.

Susan S.

Yelp
The food is beyond amazing. We ordered several dishes and all were high quality and expertly seasoned. One of our parry is from Korea, and even he raved about the food. My favorite was the fried chicken and japche. We recently moved here and will be back.
google avatar

Luke H.

Yelp
This is real Seoul food! Everything I've had is delicious, especially the kimchi. The dumplings, pan jeon, bulgogi, fried chicken and short ribs are all good choices. Be sure to check out the cooler of tastes Korean drinks! The staff is so friendly and helpful. This is my favorite place to grab lunch!

Mike N.

Yelp
We're seeking Korean food, first choice was closed so we ended up at ArkanSeoul. Reminds me more of a small Korean noodle shop rather than sit down restaurant. Food was not as spicy as I expected, had to add significant amount of chili paste (if I came again I would ask them to upgun the spice to a more traditional Korean level). Portions were a bit on the slim side and a little pricey for what arrived. Both dishes were made fresh to order. I enjoyed the Dosirak (thin sliced marinated grilled beef, rice and two kimchi sides; cucumber pickles and Julian daikon radish...both really very good, wished for more). My wife had the traditional Japchae with pork added. Satisfied with the glass noodles, crispy veggies and broth...we had to order a kimchi side for her. The Napa cabbage kimchi was well spiced but again pricey, 4 ounces for $2.50. Did discover that all kimchi's were house made--good to excellent. Busy place however, several take outs and food runners visited while we were there for dinner.
google avatar

Kay L.

Yelp
We ordered carry out from here for dinner and I was pretty disappointed. The food took almost 30 minutes to prepare, and we were waiting in our car the whole time. They also got our order wrong, as they gave us 2 orders of the beef bulgogi, instead of the Korean pancake. The bulgogi was super dry and not very flavorful. We also ordered the Korean fried chicken. My husband enjoyed it, but I thought it had too much breading on it.
google avatar

Megan H.

Yelp
This place is small and I had an 18mon old, so we got the beef bulgogi to go. And I honestly spent more time trying to figure out what to order than I did waiting for my food to be ready. I was nervous my picky daughter wasn't going to like it (we're in a Mac and cheese or chicken nugget stage) but she ate everything I put on her plate! I have never been able to get her to eat beef before! So I was impressed, and of course my portion was delicious too. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Jessy J.

Yelp
This is set up for quick stop, or to go orders. Pah Jeon (veggie pancake) flavor was good, but charred outside & didn't hold together well. The Bentonville Dosirak Box & the Bulgogi rice bowl weren't anything to write home about. My picky eaters weren't impressed. Overall ok flavors, but pricey.

Janet S.

Yelp
Outstanding! We tried a variety of things. Japchae (bulgogi added), Bulgogi, pork Mandu dumplings, soy garlic Korean fried chicken, kimchi, and Pah Jeon vegetable pancakes. Everything was delicious!
