"Chef Tommy Roy (the man behind Le Losange) has a second restaurant—this intimate, minimalist space with an open kitchen and four seats at the counter. The single set menu, which changes every week, is made up of several courses based on local produce, with suppliers given due credit for their contribution. The modern and imaginative cuisine showcases creative combinations of ingredients: shrimp and saffron mayonnaise with shavings of celery root; halibut gravlax encased in a lovage crust, puff pastry, braised leeks, and a creamy fish fumet sauce. You won't find a wine list at this establishment, which has adopted Quebec's popular "Bring Your Own Wine" policy." - Michelin Inspector

Wow! We were very impressed with the creativity and pairing of flavors and textures! There was something surprising in each dish, yet everything was delicious. The portions were on the smaller side, but as we had a poutine a few hours earlier, we left comfortably full. I mistakenly made a reservation at the « bar », but we did not regret it. The « bar » was actually the end of their food preparation counter, so we got the best seats to see the kitchen. The restaurant is meant to have a speakeasy vibe, including the fact that its facade is not obvious at first sight. We did not have trouble finding it with the GPS.

No wonder this place has 5 stars!!! It's absolutely delicious!!! The prices are indeed a bit spicy but consider that you can bring your own wine. The service was excellent, the chef came to our table and explained the menu. Our taste buds were very much impressed :) Recommend 10000%

Excellent vegetarian food...words cannot describe the superb flavors. Dessert capped off the meal with spur cherries topped with meringue and hime made ice cream! Great service as well from Laura and Tommy!

English: I have been here twice, and both times have walked out having eaten a dish I can comfortably say I will have in mind for the rest of my life. It's a very quaint spot, though very classy. They usually don't let groups of more than 4 sit together, but they have offered to accommodate 5 before. The head chef has changed across the two different times I've been (though only because the original chef is working on other related projects), but something that remains constant is the friendliness of the staff. The only note I would have is I wish we had better, more understandable descriptions of the dishes as they came out. Our waitress spoke quickly and with words we didn't really understand, even as foodies interested in the culinary arts. They have now made their menu only tasting-menu style (5 or 7 services). I would recommend getting the 7 service because you never know what wonders you might miss in the 2 extra dishes, and the price difference isn't huge. Compared to tasting menus I've had in other restaurants (especially in the US), this is on the affordable side. They change their menu every week because they are constantly innovating, but you can usually expect to see some vegetable dishes, a meat, a fish, lots of seasonal ingredients, and a couple desserts. Since the menu changes so frequently it won't be helpful for me to rate and describe each dish we had, but I will say that the chefs love to play with contrasting temperatures and textures. They have a good balance of classics and inventive recipes, and they shine most in their preparation of fish and meat, whereas some of the vegetable and dessert dishes can fall a bit flat in flavor. Overall, I love this place. I highly recommend coming, as you might find yourself like me, mouth agape in awe at an incredible flavor pairing.
