A Beloved Taco Spot Lands in a Virginia Brewery — And More November Openings Around D.C. | Eater DC

"A warm-toned hotel restaurant and bright grab-and-go cafe that highlights chef Pepe Moncayo’s Spanish roots—growing up in Barcelona with Andalusian parents and mentored across the Iberian Peninsula—serves Spanish-inspired dishes including rice dishes, seafood stews, and tapas. Moncayo recalls that succulent roasted rabbit and artichokes were always thrown into a crispy rice dish his mother used to make, and the menu includes a dish labeled "conejoy y alachachofa" that includes carrots and a sauce made from the roasted rabbit. The market offers quick, under-$25 lunches made in 10 minutes that "cross-utilizes ingredients" from the larger restaurant, and the Arrels Bodega stocks bar snacks like high-end tinned seafood and potato chips Moncayo painstakingly sourced from four different distributors to bring in from Spain. The Japanese-themed ART rooftop bar is slated to open in December." - Emily Venezky

Chef Pepe Moncayo Takes Diners on a Tour Through Spain at Arrels | Eater DC

"A 445-room property near Judiciary Square that, after four years of construction, is just taking its first guests; its ground-floor restaurant and a bright grab-and-go cafe open for business today, Tuesday, November 19 (333 G Street NW). The property pairs a full-service dining destination with a snack-filled bodega in the lobby, and the culinary program highlights chef Pepe Moncayo’s Spanish roots — from growing up in Barcelona with Andalusian parents to being mentored by chefs across the Iberian Peninsula." - Emily Venezky

Arlo Washington DC (Washington D.C., USA) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Washington’s oldest surviving apartment building, a Romanesque Revival landmark constructed in 1888, sat empty for years before Arlo Hotels snapped it up, along with the vacant lot next door. Fast-forward to the opening of Arlo Washington DC, a luxury hotel that takes up a whole city block, juxtaposing the restored structure with a boxy twelve-story addition." - Tablet Hotels

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️||STAY HERE. From the moment I booked, the service was exceptional, and my interaction with the Hotel Experience Manager, Jeremy, was truly outstanding, earning a perfect 10 out of 10. I arrived after 10 pm, and communication with the front desk was not an issue. ||My corner suite was spotless and refreshed daily, featuring a pullout sofa, two televisions, floor-to-ceiling windows, a modest balcony, and highlights such as a deep soaking tub, spa amenities, strong shower pressure with plenty of hot water, (something I care deeply about) and a Nespresso machine. There is a small refrigerator with just enough space for a few snacks and beverages. ||The property itself is stylish and full of character, featuring lush plants, cozy nooks, and a top-top rooftop bar that draws both locals and travelers for its spectacular views and atmosphere. The lobby and public areas were active! All ages. Meanwhile, the guest floors remain quiet and secure, with keycard access restricted to your designated floor only. ||The location is in proximity to many D.C.-related attractions. I never waited more than 10 minutes for an Uber/Lyft, and there is plenty to do and see within walking distance. As a seasoned and solo traveler and affiliate in the Arlo Means Business program, I look forward to returning to Washington, DC, and experiencing other Arlo properties in the future. ||Know Before You Go: Arlo charges a $35 + tax per day Urban Fee. This is the new standard among most hotels, not exclusive to Arlo, but I am sharing this information so that you are not met with a surprise upon check-in.

The service I received at this hotel was absolutely outstanding. AZ and Jude made my stay unforgettable by treating me with the utmost care and attention. They went above and beyond at every step, combining professionalism with genuine warmth that made me feel valued and appreciated. Their thoughtfulness and dedication set a new standard for hospitality and truly elevated my entire experience.||The hotel itself is gorgeous. My room was spotless, stylish, and extremely comfortable, with every detail thoughtfully designed to create a relaxing and luxurious atmosphere. This combination of world-class service and beautiful accommodations makes this hotel an easy choice to recommend, and I cannot wait to return.

We absolutely loved our stay at Arlo Hotel in Washington! Everything about the hotel feels thoughtfully designed, from the beautiful, minimalistic decor to the spacious, modern rooms that make you feel both fancy and relaxed. The gym is amazing, and the rooftop pool and bar? Perfect mix of chill vibes and great views. They even offer a free 45-minute daily bike rental, which was such a fun way to explore the city. The location is spot on, close to many of the main attractions, so you can easily walk, bike, or ride your way to museums, monuments, and all the must-see spots without hassle. Stylish, comfortable, and full of thoughtful extras - Arlo makes it hard to leave. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved my stay at the Arlo Washington DC! This is hands down one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my visit. I really appreciated how close it was to the convention center and downtown which was super convenient due to me attending a convention. The entire hotel, including my room, was spotless. I loved the rooftop lounge area and the view of the city was beautiful. I highly recommend this location and will definitely be returning!

We loved this hotel! It's new, fresh, and fun. We had a fantastic balcony room, and all of the decor is chic and pleasing. Overall, we found the service to be polished and thoughtful from the front desk folks, housekeeping, to the breakfast staff. We loved their signature scent in the lobby and even got a candle. We appreciated pre-buying the breakfast package when booking the room; they have great coffee, and the menu was diverse and delicious with robust portions. The rooftop bar was pleasant for drinks, though we thought the pool was small and not as glamorous as the website photos. Excellent location. We would definitely book again...

We (two families) loved our stay here! The rooms and beds were huge and comfortable, and the room layout was convenient. The location was quiet and safe, with a bit of a walk or Uber (when hot) into the city. I was able to send packages here with no extra charge. The rooftop pool, albeit small in size, was a huge bonus for our child and the adults as well in the hot weather. The long opening hours for the pool were also very convenient. Lovely service too. Highly recommended!

Google
The Arlo Washington DC is a phenomenal new hotel, and what truly makes it a must-stay is the incredible staff. While everything about the hotel is top-notch—the location is unbeatable and the rooms are beautifully designed—it was the personal touches from the team that truly made our stay memorable. A special thanks to AZ for the amazing service at check-in and to the front desk manager, Kenny, for making us feel like family. The self-parking was a bit tricky to navigate, but it was a minor blip in an otherwise flawless experience. We're already planning our next trip back!

I absolutely LOVED this hotel. We stayed for 12 nights and I can see myself living there forever! I have stayed in other Arlo Hotels and I liked them all but this one is my favorite. Everything was exceptional, the service, the staff, the rooms, the cleanliness... Especially special thanks to Jeremy and Doğan. They went above and beyond to make us have an unforgettable stay. The hotel has a beautiful rooftop looking at the Capitol building. It has a beautiful gym and great location. The cleanliness was exceptional as well. We absolutely LOVED everything about it and definitely gonna be staying there again.

Yelp
Had a terrific stay at this lovely hotel. It was clean, contemporary, and well-appointed. When my room had no microwave for this tea drinker, I was brought an electric kettle for my stay. The shampoo, lotion, etc were good quality and available "greener" in refillable bottles. And, two CANS of water were in my room, rather than the typical, detestable plastic water bottles. The Chef's Tasting Menu at the restaurant featured six dishes that were interesting and delicious. I hope to stay there again for my next conference in the area!

Yelp
Arlo is a nice hotel with cute, if tiny, rooms, but the staff here is clearly struggling with the basics. I showed up hours after the checkin time and they said my room wasn't ready and they had no idea when it would be ready because they were behind on cleanings. They have a $35 "urban fee" for 2 cans of water daily but were somehow out of cans of water the day I showed up. They say they will do room cleanings if you let them know you need your room cleaned before 5, but when I asked for my room to be cleaned before that time, they said I was too late. Limited hours for the restaurants and bar on weekdays and of course the $15 that you pay for in the "urban fee" doesn't count for the bodega which is open.

Yelp
I came to Arlo for a rooftop 30 and up function. The ground floor entrance is decorated in vibrant florals. Upon entering the rooftop, you see how grand the area truly is. The bar spanned a large portion of the room, and the views on the balcony are breathtaking overlooking DC.

Yelp
Room is too small and slightly overpriced for what you get... when the site says breakfast is included they mean that you have to upgrade your reservation to include a breakfast package... A.k.a. you buy your expensive breakfast, but now you have limited your choices on where and what you can eat... So just save the money and longer than 9 million places have been walking distance

Yelp
This is an amazing hotel. Very modern living lifestyle. I love the look and smell right when you walk in. The check-in process was quick and easy. I had a great time here especially in the Bogeda and the Arrel restaurant. The room are spacious with huge windows. The lounge/conference rooms are a vibe as well. I walked all over this new hotel and I loved it. I hope to visit it again real soon.

Yelp
Stylish hotel with good energy. Rooms are small but cleverly designed. The common areas were perfect for lounging or getting a little work done. Would stay again.

Yelp
Solid hotel in the Chinatown area of DC. The lobby smells amazing, the rooms were very new and modern. They have really good accessibility set ups in the bathrooms. The elevators were so cool, because you get a special assigned elevator depending on your room.

Yelp
I love the Arlo! Not only is the place always clean, modern, uses tech to speed things up, and has a great and rooftop bar restaurant and cafe, but honestly it's the staff who make this my 7th time coming to this Arlo! They always find ways to help from big to small things! Alex in particular is my favorite this trip- finding me a room a little early which was a God send after a 4am wake up and rough weather the night before. Thank you Arlo!

Yelp
I'm staying here with my two sons, and we love it. The staff has been amazing--very friendly, helpful, and polite, not just at the front desk but also on our floor (seventh). Additionally, the hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of museums and other attractions.

Yelp
This hotel was nice. Close to Chinatown in but away if that makes sense. Less than a 10 minute walk to Capitol One Areana. It's very clean, front desk staff was very nice. They have a restaurant inside but we didn't visit and there's a mini mart there which was pricey-$4.40 for a can of Coke. Room is small so i woulld call it a boutique size room. Platform bed that was ok. They have a rooftop lounge. We went there after the game for a night Capitol and finger food. Bar was crowded so we saw a sofa. We sat down only for a girl to come over to us asking if we had reservations. It's 11p at this time and we saw no reserve sign on the table. Told her no we didn't. She suggested we can find seating at the bar (she was aware it was no seats). We took a second look and left the lounge. We were very disappointed with that service. It was another lounge seating there so it was not we were invading on someone's reservation.

Yelp
This hotel is AMAZING! Rooms are so cool. The restaurant and bodega have great menus and delicious food. Parking is easy. We're in DC for our college kiddo with some regularity and THIS is our place for the next years.
