Nice low key pizza spot in the neighborhood. Prices are fair compared to others around and the pizza is good! The staff was cool and helpful too. Check them out if you're in the area.

We love Armand’s. Excellent pizza. Always has good service and friendly staff. Usually do pickup but the pizza is always ready exactly when they say it will be. Highly underrated neighborhood pizza spot.

Grabbed lunch here and ordered pizza by the slice. Fair prices and good pizza. Limited seating. Appears to be more of a carry out joint. Counter service. Very friendly.

Decided to give this place a shot, ordered delivery and I regret it. Pizza was undercooked, tasted like cardboard and overpriced. 7/11 pizza is better than whatever this was. Just all around bad, I would look elsewhere.

Pizza arrived in rough condition. Not sure if it was too big for the box or if it was on a heavy angle but the slices were bent in the center and had slid all around the box. And for some strange reason the basil was added before baking so it was completely burnt to a crisp. The cheese only half of the pizza was pretty good. However, the “house made” cheese sticks were disgusting. They arrived cold, soggy and liquified. The cheese was not real mozzarella at all!!!! It was like a margarine version of mozzarella. It didn’t melt like normal cheese. Sad to say it was inedible. I do realize ordering fried food for delivery is a gamble but these were terrible.

It’s not the world’s best pizza but it’s good and it’s affordable and was ready when I arrived (I ordered from Grubhub).

Slices are huge here. Seriously! 1 pan slice and you are good to go with a drink. Decent prices, but mostly cause the slices are so damn big when you buy them that way. Pan crust was nice and soft and crispy on the outside.

Order for pick up. Was told 2 mins person in cashier was on his phone when I walked in and was soo involved on his phone forgot about my order until 15 mins later i asked for my pizza and it was ready. Lost a customer do not buy here

Just happened to walk by this pizza joint on our way to another business. Stopped in and grabbed a slice to go. Pizza was good quality and the staff was friendly. Pizza isn't the best in town, but will definitely hit the spot if you're craving a slice in a hurry.

Decent pizza. Thin crust but not crispy. A bit too greasy. Prices have skyrocketed in the past few months so it's not a small decision to order out. $20+ for a pizza with a couple toppings. Didn't reheat too well with a cast iron pan. My main gripe is one of those payment systems where they ask for a tip. It's a carry-out pizza joint and asking for a tip when paying makes it too awkward to return. I'll keep looking for the best pizza in the neighborhood.

You cannot go wrong with Armand's!! They easily have the best tavern style pizza in North Center. They do have deep dish and some regular types of pizzas. Highly recommend the white pizzas, they are absolutely scrumptious. Armand's has several types of white pizzas, which is always great to have so many options. Highly recommend downloading the Slice app for ordering! It allows you to make all your selections and keeps you updated on when your food is ready. I have always had great interactions with the staff here.

I'm trying eat at every well known and highly rated pizza place in Chicagoland before I kick it. I know, I know, you're saying - dang that's a lotta places. But hey, that's amore for our Tavern style, thin crust (dats what we eat here - don't believe those foodie out of towners)...ahem...as I was rambling on about - thin crust, it's cracker like (ideally) and has corn meal underneath. For that ultimate crispy and crunchy bite. I say all that to say that Armand's made my list and they've been creating these pizzas since the 50s?! It boggles my mind because I just recently went to Vito and Nick's (Chicago thin crust icon) but that's because it's on the Soutside of Chicago. But Armand's, I've probably passed here more than thousand times but did not notice. So once more - thank you Yelpers!! For pointing this place out to me. As you can see from my pics, got a nice variety. Had try to the meataballs and those were good. Not too heavy and not too light, just right, to sound a little like Goldilocks. The Armand's salad was a really good way to kick off the meal, paired this up with blue cheese. As for the pizza, the crust was one of the best that I've encountered and the ingredients were all generously there (sausage, mushrooms and green peppas). My only thought is that the mushrooms and greenpeppas were probably canned and not fresh. And I haven't eaten canned veggies since the last zombie apocalypse, so that would be my only Non-Michelin opinion. Other than that, it's BYOB, they only have a few tables and it's BOGO on Tuesday night??, I forget but it's a weekday. Oh, it's also Street pahking y'all.

How do I rate a negative star, -* ? Garbage mostly. No flavor, nothing someone anyone could do themselves if they bought it from a freezer. Customer service doesn't exist either. Who doesn't dip an Italian beef when it's explicitly requested. If you like garbage food & service, armands is your spot on western Ave. ​

Pizza from experienced hands, without the hype. Love the (housemade?) Italian sausage and other generous toppings. Armand's is a mainstay of our pizza life.

First time trying Armand's. I had passed by and stopped in on a whim. Getting a singular slice of pizza in Chicago often makes me feel like I'm cosplaying a New Yorker and committing some grand act of treason but alas sometimes a girl just needs ONE slice. Well, technically two in this case. I don't know if the slices are always this big but whoa, good problems to have! The lovely lady at the counter halved it for me because I'm only smöl. My total was $5 even... bang meet buck. This is a pretty good pie honestly. The sauce was great, cheese was the right consistency. I will be back in a NY -erm uh- I mean a Chicago minute.

Yummy and crispy. Best when hot! The Armand's salad is always fresh, and also crispy.

They are pretty hit or miss. Crust is nice decent pie. Sometimes perfectly on point, other times the same order is meh.

Scoured Chicago for a great thin crust pizza and this is our jam. Always a fan of some corn meal on the bottom tavern cut. We go here probably once a month. All the other thin crust pizzas either lack flavor, cheese falls off from the sauce , or just generally not that enjoyable. Good to note they are closed mondays though!

One of the good pizza joints in this area. Pizza style is the thin crunchy (not thin enough to be crispy) with the corn meal on they bottom for sliding the pie in and out of the over. Since you are in Chicago, one of the ways you can judge a tavern thin is the house blend of sausage, this one is good. Just for clarification, the double dough here is literally double the dough (not double decker), its a normal pizza but with the dough twice as think. Makes the base more substantial but its still dense. The Pan pizza, is not the chicago deep dish, but rather an airy raised pizza in a pan, if you want a softer more chewy airy crust, its fairly thick too. The sandwiches and other pastas are good here too. One of my go to pizza deliveries in the area, along with John's, it just depends on what kind of crust I feel like.

Terrible counter service. Very hostile to walk in business. I normally order from them a couple of times a week. It's too bad because I love their pizza.. Patronize someplace else. This location isn't worth the trouble.

I tried Armand's years ago when they first opened nearby, but I wasn't a frequent customer. Decided to take advantage of their 2-for-1 Tuesday. It was absolutely delicious. The crust was the perfectly thin, generous amount of toppings, expertly seasoned. I shared the two-fer with my downstairs neighbor and we were both impressed.. Even without the Tuesday deal, it's a major contender for my favorite pizza.

My family has been ordering from this establishment since 19/61 in Elmwood Park Illinois. Apparently my brother got a bad order and complained and now they don't want to deliver to me anymore I just spoke to someone who identified herself as a manager and she told me that they elected not to ever order or send an order to me again because my brother complained about the salad that they screwed up on. Wow they're not the same people that used to be in Elmwood Park. Don't ever order from them again and complain because they'll do the same thing to you. I cannot believe after over 50 years of my family ordering from this establishment that they don't want to deliver to me anymore and I never complain to them my brother was in town for a day. They screwed up his order he complained, and they said oh no more for you, reminds me of Seinfeld no soup for you.

The pizza is good but the last 2 times I ordered pizza from here they got my order wrong. In August I ordered 3 XL pizzas, one was supposed to be pepperoni. They gave me cheese, no pepperoni. When I called they argued with me about what I ordered. Tonight I ordered online to avoid this type of error. . One pizza with pepperoni and veggies and a 2nd pizza. My pizza had all the veggies, but again NO PEPPERONI! It is super disappointing because I like the pizza, but I want what I order and pay for.

Armand's serves high quality tavern style pizza. What I particularly like about their pizza is that they have large swaths of green pepper and onion, not smaller chopped up pizza. Dependable delivery and they will go into Avondale.

This was a disaster of an experience. The meal is all over my car because of the inept packaging. Just a complete mess. It was way too hot to begin with and ripped through the bag, then the mariners sauce leaked everywhere like a waterfall in my car when I picked it up. I really wanted to like this place too.

I feel like the crust could use a little more flavor. I will ask for well done next time, for sure. Also, the mushrooms could have been fresher... Other than that, the sauce, cheese, and sausage were real good. I'll order from here again...

Really good old school Chicago thin crust. I prefer to Pats. Nice sweet sauce, crunch crust, great value. I'd get again.

I'm only hesitant to provide a 5-star review because I'm greedy, and I want Armand's Pizzeria all to myself. This is my favorite pizza place in the city. And, their staff is awesome. Service is great too! Tech glitches are handled proactively with follow-up phone calls/voicemails. Love this place!

Grew up with Armands Pizza in Elmwood Park, left Chicago for 14 years in Boston, came back lived in Arlington Heights and enjoyed that location for years. On a recent visit we rented a house on Lake Michigan and ordered from the Western Avenue location; just as good as ever. My only beef is our house was one block north of their delivery area and we couldn't get them to make an exception even with a big tip guaranteed.

Pizza is awesome. Delivery driver is a d*ck. And this was not a singular experience from him. I guess pick up, but what a bad taste his jerkiness left before I even ate my pizza

Nothing fancy here, but good pizza at a good price. $5 for a slice actually gets you 2 large slices! I showed up right when they opened so my pizza was piping hot.

Good pizza..Good artichokes..A good take out or delivery neighborhood spot...The pasta dishes are a 7 of 10..Not bad. But just ok..Salads and soups are also done well..It is a very good fast food place. Not a fine dining joint. Still very good...

Good food! However, website is hard to locate and order from. Had to use Grubhub. Will say their spinach is not fresh and tastes like it came from a can. Soggy and smells. Basil came like burnt string with no taste. Mozz sticks do not look like the hand breaded sticks seen online. Clearly premade. Other than that the rest of their pizza is delicious.

Again, a salad filled with rusty brown lettuce!!! If my wife didn't love some of the other food, I would NEVER patronize this place!!!!!!

Place is horrible. They blame their delivery service on your order getting cancelled after we waited and hour and a half. Nobody called, just got an email stating my order was cancelled. The manager I spoke with wanted nothing to do with owning what happened. Stay away from these guys if you want your food delivered on time. Won't be eating Armand's again and we eat pizza at least twice a week! Would give them 0/5 stars if I was able to.

This place is beyond incompetent. Put in an order for a 16" pizza and got the wrong pizza delivered an hour later. They said the delivery guy would come pick it up and redeliver our pizza which he misdelivered to another address. Didn't even offer to remake it until I asked. the delivery guy never came back so now I have a pepperoni pizza I can't eat bc I'm a vegetarian. An hour later I get a call asking for my address and confirming the order. They made the wrong pizza, AGAIN. So now I've been waiting 3 hours for a cheese pizza and I'm never going back to this place again. Update: they refunded me and delivered the pizza four hours late

I ordered delivery from here a couple of weeks ago based on my boyfriends recommendation. He grew up here and has been eating this pizza since childhood. First the service: person on the phone was so kind and accommodating! It was a Friday or Saturday night so they must have been busy but I didn't feel rushed at all and he even called me back to confirm and verify what I wanted. We got the pan pizza and a thin crust pizza: best I have had in Chicago. I don't normally like tavern style Chicago thin crust but they did a good job. The pan pizza I could eat every day! Get it really simple w the spinach and you won't regret it. Will be my go-to spot for Chicago pizza!

I have been ordering pizza from Armand's for almost 10 years. The last three visits have been progressively bad. The final order was so bad it was almost uneatable. They have changed their crust. Toppings are skimpy. It could be under different management, but quality is no longer there. You are better off buying a frozen pizza

I was really surprised when I saw all the negative reviews. I only had it for the first time today but it completely exceeded expectations. The bruschetta was great, the thin crust was actually pretty substantial, and the BBQ sauce was really tangy and interesting. Would definitely try again.

My family and I walked into Armand's intrigued at the idea the pizzeria has been open since 1956. My mother and sister ordered some pizza by the slice and I ordered the meatball sandwich. The food came out of the kitchen very fast for a pizzeria that had opened only fifteen minutes ago which is a plus! The pizza came out hot and fresh. The meatball sandwich came with some sea salt chips and peppers on the side and a Pepsi. The meatball sandwich was average. However, the bread was very thick and crunchy and enjoyable. My mother and sister being as I call "bird eaters" did not finish the second slice of pizza they had. So, I took the job of finishing it off for them. The pizza on the other hand was stellar. It was a true beauty of a pizza in Chicago. The cheese was just light enough and perfectly topped with pepperoni. As I write this my mother wanted me to add "In the fifteen years I've lived in Chicago this is some of the best pizza I've had in awhile". Halfway through our meal a man with a very nice smile walks in the door and starts talking to my family. He started taking to us and was very friendly. After that, he offered free gelato! My family of course took him up on that offer. My sister got a Vanilla gelato which she said was amazing and I got a Peach gelato. My peach was perfect! It was some great gelato and I was very thankful! Overall, this place has killer pizza, normal other food, and most of all outstanding service. If I lived in the area, I would take advantage of the carry-out or delivery a lot!

The pizza is always great. They have an excellent selection of sandwiches and generous portion sizes. Their pizza by the slice deal is 2 large slices and includes a pop. The service is fast and the food comes out really quickly. It's a solid place for pickup and delivery. You can't go wrong choosing Armand's!

Armand's is my favorite pizza to order from up here in Northcenter. Seriously one of the best thin crust pizzas up here and a good price. When I was a vegetarian I used to get the pineapple + giardiniera. They have the best giardiniera, very fresh and awesome. Now I'm eating meat again and their western pizza w/ BBQ sauce (by request) is stupid good. Recommend ordering square cut cause duh. Other solid thin pizzas I like for reference: - Lou Malnati's - Calo Ristorante - D'Agostino's (prob the best "pizza + movie when you were a kid" pizza for when you want to house a ton of pizza) - Riverview Tavern pizza - Bartoli's on Addison - Coalfire on Southport ("gourmet pizza" so not like a normal eating pizza...more like an occasion pizza)

I've had Armand's pizza delivered twice, and it's been very good both times. The person who has taken our order was also so friendly. The thin crust is great and has just enough toppings to get a good bite but not so much that the crust can't support it. The pan pizza is awesome, and I don't usually like that style. It has a nice balance between the crust and filling. Again, I'm not into the usual pan crust--usually too bland--but this crust was actually something I wanted to eat. It also stayed soft after microwaving as leftovers, which is rare. I also ordered 3 of their yardstick pizzas for a party and they were excellent. It's the thin crust pizza, but baked as a long rectangle. The novelty of a pizza that size and shape plus the great taste made it a real hit. Tasty sauce, delicious crust, and on-time, quality delivery!

Really good for delivery, my kids love the thin crust and they have a really good and fresh Greek salad too. I order the gluten free crust and it's awesome, you can't even tell it's GF, delicious!

Sorry Armand's - I wanted to love you but your inability to receive my order tonight results in one star, but I will admit you have tasty pizza. I would have loved to enjoy some tonight, which is why I ordered it, but unfortunately, this didn't happen. Had a few friends over for dinner and some football tonight. Everyone was starving but we decided to get Armand's just based on my friend living nearby and being a huge fan. We expected a bit of a wait but we were ready for it. Ordered around 715, order set to arrive around 830. Perfect. 830 comes and goes...so does 845. Around 9, the game is practically over so we call to see what's up. I call the restaurant, the have no record of my order. The woman who answers puts me on hold; then comes back and says that grubhub is on the other line and they never got my order. She's sorry and do I want my food still. At this point we are starving, so yes, still want my food. I politely asked if I would be refunded for my order to apologize for the issues and the epic delay in my meal. She says I will not be refunded if I decide I still want my meal. I understand that I placed the order through grubhub so I get that, but if a restaurant is signing up for this service and allow people to order online, they need to have a working fax machine. I get it, things happen, however I believe at the very least I should have been sent the meal I ordered for free to apologize for the issues but they didn't provide me with that, which is just bad customer service and will result in me not giving them another chance.

This is the best thin crust pizza I've ever had. I also had some of their homemade mozzarella sticks which were TO DIE! This is my go to pizza place. Love love love!

I placed an order via Slice at 5:370m, it was set for delivery by 7:19pm. At 7:19pm, I called armand's. They told me it was at least another half hour. The representative was very rude. She kept telling me that they are not Splice, they are backed up, they are not responsible. Not sure what I did wrong relying on the advertised deliver time of 100 minutes! Plus, I tipped in advance so I was really screwed. Also not sure why I got such attitude. All I wanted was my pizza. It did not arrive until 8:05pm. There a lot of great choices around us, I will look else where and you should too.

Every time we order pizza from here, friends/guests ask where it's from because it's so good. The ingredients are fresh and clearly high quality, which I'm sure is what makes the flavor stand out. Love the selection of toppings. Crust would be described as a thicker thin crust. Never been to the restaurant, I've only ever ordered in. Highly recommend.

We ordered last night for my husbands 70th birthday party and they were great! 3 yardstick pizzas and one party cheese pizza and all were delicious and delivered right on time piping hot!

mediocre at best. they didn't take the time to cut onions and belle peppers into bite-sized pieces and these enormous sized chunks made eating pizza a task. no fun! pizza should be fun. you can get cheap pizza from jewel better than this. quicker. more cheese. more fun.
