Stylish Vietnamese coffeehouse with unique sesame, avocado, and egg coffees

"In Fremont, this Vietnamese coffee shop has a small but mighty menu of matcha drinks, including flavors like sesame, pandan, and matcha. Enjoy your drinks with a pastry like a cornetto, scone, or castella, or try the house cake, which has the texture of a pancake or sponge cake with the option of a cheese or pate and pork floss filling." - Aleenah Ansari
"A popular Fremont cafe known locally for its Vietnamese coffee offerings and currently eyeing expansion." - Harry Cheadle
"You might mistake Aroom for a minimalist interior design firm, but it’s actually somewhere that will make you feel like you’ve been launched into a swimming pool full of roasted espresso beans. The Vietnamese iced coffee here is very strong, which pairs well with more mellow toppings like salty foam, homemade coconut ice cream, or our favorite: black sesame cream. It’s nutty, sweet, and just rich enough to slice through the coffee’s boldness." - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley
"Vietnamese coffee houses are currently a big boom, with Fremont’s Aroom Coffee an especially enchanting choice. The owners hail from central Vietnam, so while the Saigon-style coffee drinks are solid, it’s fun to sample some of the Aroom signature drinks. The sesame latte is popular and the egg coffee is en vogue, but perhaps most noteworthy is the salty coffee, with the salt accentuating the flavor of the beans. As for those beans, “dad” roasts them locally, while “mom” helps in the kitchen creating a crispy house cake filled with cheese cubes or — even better — pate and pork floss." - Jay Friedman

"Vietnamese coffee is a huge part of the Seattle caffeine situation, and Aroom serves the best of the bunch. You might mistake this Fremont shop for a luxury interior design firm, and we wouldn’t be surprised if that’s Aroom’s next venture. (The busy team also owns a nail salon.) The coffee here is very strong, which pairs well with more mellow toppings like salty foam, black sesame cream, or housemade coconut ice cream. Our favorite is the nutty cloud, a vegan peanut butter latte that tastes like what Cap’n Crunch would suck back before his thankless day steering a two-dimensional pirate ship." - aimee rizzo, gabe guarente
