Arriba Rooftop

Arriba Rooftop, is place I been wanted to go. I finally did. I was not impressed with the menu. It’s very limited. I had the shrimp cocktail. It was mostly onions, cilantro, & cucumber soup. It only had 6 shrimps. I also ordered Al pastor & chicken tinga tostadas. The chicken tostada was very tasty. I didn’t like the Al pastor tostada. It didn’t looked good and it didn’t tasted good. I order a mojito. And they brought me a drink. The mojito didn’t had fresh peppermint. My husband order a barbacoa torta. He love it. He said, it had all the good taste in a torta. I must believed him. He was a chef. It’s a nice place to go and get some good drinks, with friends. I love the 80’s music. And is in a nice neighborhood. On the corner of damen and montrose ave .

Went on evening walk and saw the rooftop which looked inviting and then saw the stairs and sign to come up. It’s casual and cozy with good music and great food! Affordable and small portions which is perfect. Summer drink menu at standard prices. Had raspberry margarita. Service was friendly and good too. Nice neighborhood spot.

I love Arriba Rooftoo! I love the small bites (Sashimi Tostada and Avocado Bean) were awesome! Definitely come here before winter sets in for a laid back and pretty atmosphere!

Still a great rooftop in Ravenswood. Food was good but pricey. 2 drinks, queso, 1 torta, and 1 tostada was about $75.

Great new spot on the roof of Farm Bar! The drinks were good. Didn’t get any food but it looked solid!

Food was good. Drinks were fine. A suggested minimum tip of 22% when you pay the bill completely on your own by scanning a barcode is… a bold choice.

The staff is super friendly and the food was AMAZING! Best burger around!!

Not very good, especially in comparison with Farm Bar downstairs. The drink selection is mediocre at best and the food was nothing special. I was so excited to try this spot but was let down. It has a lot of potential to improve though.

Don't go...yet. Arriba needs time to figure itself out. Truthfully, we wanted to love Arriba so badly because we really like Farm Bar downstairs, so even when we saw that all the reviews were awful, we still wanted to make the call for ourselves. It has so much potential with a breezy look and feel and great service, but the drinks just miss the mark on everything from taste to presentation and value. My husband and I stopped by on a Saturday evening (there are no reservations, just first come first serve) and were seated right away. We ordered a raspberry margarita and the drunken cafe de olla. Both drinks tasted unbalanced, and I couldn't finish mine. We decided not to order food because we were feeling skeptical at that point and the drinks were quite expensive for the quality. I hope that Arriba will take the time to reimagine and their drinks menu and bites that are offered - otherwise Arriba is on the skip list, which is unfortunate.

My friend and I were in the neighborhood and wanted to grab a drink. It was a beautiful day so we landed on this rooftop bar. Luckily, we had our choice of seats since it was off peak hours, and I was happy to see plenty of tables with umbrellas to shade from the sun. Overall more of a chill vibe but service was great. I was pleased to find multiple non-alcoholic options and decided to try the Odd Bird NA Rose, which was very enjoyable. I did not try the food but my friend got the tostada and said it was just ok. Honestly, the food seemed like average (mexican themed) bar fare so I would recommend eating elsewhere. But Arriba is a fine option if you're in the area and looking to grab a drink outside.

We had a torta, tostadas and the chips and queso for an appetizer. Queso was thin and not very spicy at all 2/5 Tostadas - tuna didn't taste super fresh to me, barbacoa tasted good but very fatty, al pastor was the favorite. Super flavorful, pineapple seemed old and dried out. 3/5 Torta was a large portion and tasty, very bready but good. 4/5 Ambience was nice if you're looking for a roof top setting. Service was as expected. We didn't have drinks but all looked great. Prices are expensive for the average quality you get. Limited menu on the rooftop. May be back for the rooftop, definitely not the food.

Limited food options. More of a rooftop bar feel with chips. Not great quality food or drinks but okay to sit outside. Service was really good though.

I had a nice server the day of my visit but the actual place itself is missing something. I think if you're trying to go for a Latin inspired rooftop then maybe have some good Latin music! Add a little more fairy lights or table decor to spice up the space! The table umbrellas are important but they somehow make you feel like you're in a tent and that's not good if there's a clear night and you want to actually feel like you're at a rooftop. Anyway, my drink was good and I didn't have food due to time. Overall, the place needs to be spiced up a little more because the vibe was not there!

Unfortunately the reviews are accurate for Arriba. We went on a Monday evening for their live music which was the best part about the whole experience for sure. The rooftop itself is very enjoyable and so was the service. But the pricing seemed way too high for the quality of the drinks and quantity of the food. My partner and I ordered a total of four drinks and paid $75 all in. None of the drinks we ordered were worth this prize tag, they were pretty generic. They also have you pay through a third party website on a QR code which added more fees on top of the already pricy drinks. Our friends ordered the food as well (tostadas) and were surprised by the small portions for the price. Overall, we decided we will probably not return.

Absurd prices for sub-par wine. 22 dollars for a not -full glass of oddly cold, mediocre cabernet? And an "inflation" fee on top of it? Appreciate the server's willingness to help us out a little due to our sticker shock. But at the end of the day, the prices are way out of line. Won't be back.

A bafflingly bad bar in a lovely space. They could have just served beer and hotdogs and provided a better experience. Instead, they have chosen to open a "Mexican-inspired" place that suffers massively in comparison to just about every single Mexican joint in Chicago. The margaritas are just bad, and the food is terrible and mind-blowingly expensive. The "shrimp cocktail" is a bunch of tiny shrimp swimming in what is basically ketchup, and some disgusting avocado purée. The chips and salsa are $10 for just a handful of chips and a couple of crummy salsas (for comparison, at Frontera they are $5). The tortas are $20! Best to avoid this place until they come up with a better concept.
