Ambience on outdoor patio and music, best I've ever heard in a restaurant, 60's mellow classic hits; was great! Lots of air, but still well covered. BUT, way overpriced "jumbo" lobster tail for $85 was not 10 - 12 Oz, more like 6 Oz, overcooked, tasteless, even the melted butter was tasteless. No sides included, and you pay for bread! Only reason I came here was because Pasadena Weekly said it was best of Pasadena, and it was someone's birthday. Small chopped salad could've used apples or pears to balance, and leave out the old, hard, potato strips that could've broken a tooth. Cheap knives not sharp enough to cut filet mignon easily, and butter not cold. Bread, mints, filet and water ok, but everything else disappointing. The servers were way too eager to leave the table, so barely able to make a request. The waiter was kind enough to give me a discount, but still very disappointing. Even the free chocolate cake seemed old, hard, and as if not covered in the frig. Chairs heavy and hard to move, so it makes a big noise getting up from the table (on patio). The building, music, and ambience was so nice, I hope the owners/manager improve these things, but I wont be back and cannot recommend this restaurant. We left feeling hungry and ripped off. I'd go to Red Lobster or Black Angus for a lobster next time!
