Where To Eat & Drink Near Oracle Park - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"Just a five-minute walk from the stadium are the city's best croissants. Arsicault's third location in Mission Rock is a facsimile of the original in the Richmond with not only the same fantastic pastries (always get the almond croissant and kouign amann) but also the same long lines. Thankfully, things move quickly, so you can make a pit stop at this French bakery before any daytime games." - lani conway, julia chen 1, patrick wong

Like the original, this location of Arsicault serves some of SF's best croissants - Review - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"When you see someone on the street with a smudge of glistening butter on their cheek, it's likely the work of Arsicault. The French bakery has been attracting block-long lines since its fantastic croissants debuted in the Richmond in 2019. Now, their third location (the second is near Civic Center) continues that legacy in Mission Rock. Like the other locations, this Arsicault has a pastry case filled with tissue-paper-flaky plain, almond, chocolate, and ham and cheese croissants—and the lines are just as long, even before 8am opening. The waiting game is well worth it (and the line moves fast). Prioritize the almond croissant above all others, and for something just as buttery and less crescent-shaped, try the kouign amann. You’ll usually be able to find some free leaning space on the counters here, and there’s plenty of public seating right outside. Plus, you’re just a couple minutes' walk from China Basin Park. photo credit: Patrick Wong" - Patrick Wong

Arsicault: One of San Francisco’s Most Viral Croissants Is Headed to Mission Rock | Eater SF

"Armando Lacayo’s version—made by the Nicaraguan-French baker who draws lines daily on Arguello Street and already has a second location in Civic Center—has become a modern classic. Ownership announced via Instagram that a third bakery will open on Monday, March 10 inside the Verde building at 1070 Bridgeview Way in the Mission Rock development. The new outpost will operate Monday through Friday at first, with hours expanding to include Saturday and Sunday beginning Saturday, April 5 (timed to Giants Opening Weekend). Fans have shown up regardless of hours since the butter and frangipane croissants gained clout from Bon Appétit in 2016." - Paolo Bicchieri

Arsicault Bakery – A Busy but Worthwhile Stop Near Oracle Park Located in a lively area near Pier 50, China Basin, and Oracle Park, Arsicault Bakery draws a steady mix of office staff, visitors, and sports fans passing through. I visited on a Thursday around 12:30 p.m., and the place was buzzing with a long line of people waiting for a quick lunch bite. The bakery has a modern design, with a wooden counter inside and a few round outdoor tables. Seating is limited, but grabbing a pastry and coffee to enjoy under the sunshine makes for a pleasant experience. Their menu features a variety of croissants—including almond, chocolate, ham & cheese, plain, and occasional specials—alongside baguette sandwiches that are especially popular at lunch. Coffee comes in multiple sizes with plenty of choices to pair with your pastry. I tried the Blackberry Almond Hazelnut Croissant, and it was excellent—crispy on the outside, with a creamy hazelnut filling, and a surprisingly well-balanced mix of flavors. My vanilla coffee was smooth, and the latte art was an extra nice touch. It's a little bit pricy but worth visiting somehow. Overall, Arsicault Bakery is a great spot for a quick visit—whether you’re grabbing breakfast, a light lunch, or just treating yourself before a game. Expect crowds at peak hours, but the quality of the pastries makes it worthwhile. --- ✨ Highlights: 🍩 Excellent variety of croissants 🥖 Baguette sandwiches for a heartier lunch ☕ Quality coffee with beautiful presentation 🌞 Best enjoyed outdoors on a sunny day

Google
A nice bakery with good pastries and treats. There was a it of a line to start off with, when we went there around lunch time. But it moves quick there and the line passes fast. It is because they are optimizing ordering as you can quickly select the pastries to order from a small display. Then you choose which drink you want and pay. We got some croissants and some other pastries like pain au chocolate. The pastries were really good especially the blackberry croissant. We also got latte and cappuccino and those were good too.

We finally got a bakery in the neighborhood and we're blessed it was Arsicault. Before this, I was bothering the staff at Blue Bottle trying to buy pastries for work meetings - and it felt ridiculous every time. Why did I do that? Because there was no bakery open before 9am in SF on weekdays. Given the pastry forward culture of SF, I've been shocked. Fast forward to Arsicault gracing us with their greatness. Everything was spectacular and the service was quick. My favorites (so far) are the ham and cheese croissant, chocolate croissant, quiche, bacon onion scone, and the morning bun. Everything is lovely. The croissants are like clouds and you have the luxury to eat one for breakfast. Enjoy munching on greatness my friends.

Google
Quite possibly the best Almond Croissant I've ever eaten. The croissants are crispy and decadent with tons of flavor. The line was long but moved fairly quickly. If you can snag a table, it's in a great low-traffic area with shade (on the street side) and if not, walk over to the park and sit out in the plaza overlooking Oracle Park, the creek and the Bay Bridge. Amazing new addition to the Mission Bay area. This whole area really is a gem.

Google
Always holding the standard! We are so thankful that they opened the third location after a Civic Center and the Presidio so we don’t need to drive across the town for the best croissant you can get. The almond croissant is a Fan favorite, chocolate chip cookies, always good too. They also offer baguette and sourdough. Along with other patisserie. You can’t miss it! Coffee is good too. The line moves pretty fast.

Google
Stopped by Arsicault before the Giants game. There was quite a line but it moved pretty quickly, really not taking more than 10-15 minutes. Might take longer if you order drinks. I’ve tried the croissants at the other locations before, so I knew these would be great. But these always hit the spot! We got a chocolate croissant and a ham and cheese croissant. Arsicault definitely has the best chocolate croissant I’ve ever had. Not much in terms of seating here, but there’s a lovely outdoor area you could easily sit at and enjoy the croissants. There’s a booth but I didn’t see any chairs.

Google
Probably the best bakery in Northern California, and top 5 on the west coast easily. Some of the best croissants I have ever had in my entire life. Chocolate, Almond, and Blackberry are all 10/10. Massive portions and you can taste the butter in every bite. Just delicious. Lines can be really, really long though. Worth the wait.

Google
I don't know if I should post this, it's that good kind of place. Tried a bit of everything - Mediterranean sandwich - mushroom and onion quiche - kouign aman - Blackberry hazelnut Croissant - apple turnover - chocolate chip cookie - bacon scone - espresso with oat milk - vanilla latte I'd 100% come back for the Mediterranean and the kouign aman. The Mediterranean is served on fresh baguette with ham, garlic aioli and tomatoes. We added cheese. I was disappointed that it wasn't toasted but after the first bite I had no complaints. So good I forgot to take any photos. The kouign aman was still warm, the crust was beautiful. The mushroom quiche came in at a close 3rd. Honestly the other stuff was good too, just these were my faves Will definitely be back to eat the rest of the store.

Yelp
I can't get enough of Arsicault, and neither can anyone I introduce Arsicault to! After Arsicault just once, my parents had to go back. Every. single. day. And I don't blame them. This place has virtually no wait, the pastries are exceptionally flaky, and the variety of flavors are all top notch. Pretty sure I've had most of the possible flavors -- if not all of them. * Blueberry Hazelnut Almond, Almond: These are among my favorites. The almond paste is a bit too sweet, so I like to get a plain croissant alongside any of these. The blueberry variant is my absolute favorite. Such a delicious mixture of fruits and nuts. Gah. So good. * Plain: You can't go wrong with the "vanilla" flavor at Arsicault. I always get this to remind myself how amazing their croissants are, even without any of the sugar. Just the butter. Just all the fat. Yummy yummy butter. * Chocolate, Chocolate Almond: Not *too sweet, and a funny looking pillow shape instead of the typical croissant shape. Equally flaky and delicious. * Ham and cheese: I gotta say, this is my least favorite. (sorry) But if I must, I will eat this if it's all that's left. Anything for a croissant -- even if it's ham and cheese! Starting a block away, you'll start to smell the Arsicault pastries. Once you walk in, you'll see the massive ovens in the bake, the trays and trays of pastries, and very friendly staff members! I went back probably 3x in a single day, once. The staff instantly recognized me (oops). Can't wait for the next time already!

Yelp
Absolutely loved Arsicault!! Tried the almond croissant, kouign amann, morning bun, and the cranberry coconut scone (not pictured). Everything was so delicious, definitely recommend trying a few different things! There can be a wait to order, but it's all worth it! If you are from out of town or new, definitely add it to your list of bakeries to visit!

Yelp
There are now 3 Arsicault locations in San Francisco and this may be the best one! Located in Mission Rock near Mission Bay Park, this spot is located near Oracle Stadium within a mix of the newly constructed apartments they've put up. While this one has a long line, it's not nearly as long as the OG spot and it doesn't require you to walk through the Tenderloin like the other one. My favorite item on the menu is the chocolate almond croissant. I have never had anything like it. Their croissants are so rich and delicious, but the chocolate almond is the best. I like that rather than using nuts or slivers, the almond is a paste. It is so so good that I've bought multiple just to be able to freeze and take home for later. Besides their croissants, they also have some other items including cookies, bostocks and galettes. My favorite thing to get besides the croissant is the quiche! Their quiche is baked perfectly and has a creamy interior. The bacon one is perfect! There is a reason Arsicault has such a cult following. It truly is the best croissant I've ever had!

Yelp
I'm so happy that they decided to open up another location. It's a little tricky to spot but luckily there's parking right there which you do have to pay for but I paid $3 for one hour of parking. The croissants are as good as always, service seems a little faster and it's a bigger space with some outdoor seat.
google avatar

Yelp
As good as they say and worth the wait! The line is intimidating - but I promise it moves pretty quickly. There were probably 30-40 people in front of me on a Saturday morning at 11am and I was done in maybe 20-25 minutes. Wish there were more tables outside. The menu is limited - mostly croissants which is what you come for. I got the plain, almond chocolate, morning bun, and kouign amann. Every item was absolutely delicious. Definitely one of the best bakeries in the city.
google avatar

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Very tasty pastries alert! Gotta love warm pastries for breakfast in the morning!! Even if there's a queue outside don't be discouraged, it moves quite quickly and the pastries are worth it. The pain au chocolat was so good, I could have one right now.

Yelp
Had the mushroom onion quiche and raisin Kouign Amann. Quiche is the best one I've had in awhile. I didn't love the onions being chopped long instead of diced but that's splitting hairs. Loved the mushrooms. The crust was really flaky, flavorful and buttery. Not soggy or stiff. Kouign Amann was solid but not my favorite (B Patisserie and Backhaus' passionfruit black sesame for me). Also I didn't know they could come in a circular disc shape. The raisins in the center made the dough soggy in the middle. Small location but line moves quickly. Standing room countertops inside and three small four tops outside.

Yelp
Hands down the best croissant in the world. We recently went to France and a few weeks after visited San Francisco. Their almond croissant is unreal. The exterior is caramelized and crisp and the inside is soft and luscious. Definitely worth a stop when you're visiting the city. I promise you won't regret it.
google avatar

Nina M.

Yelp
The line goes fairly quickly because their employees work quickly and efficiently! What i love about this location is there is parking and there are tables and counters available in the newly constructed area. If you dine in, they have plates available for your food. If you do takeout and order a lot, a bag is provided for your items. I spent about $19.25 for a ham & cheese, vanilla latte, and almond croissant to go.

Yelp
The best croissant ever!!! Arsicault never misses and I'm so glad they opened one in a new area! Everytime I go, I'm so mind blown at how delicious and addicting the croissants are. I always get the chocolate almond or the seasonal flavor - I love how the sugar caramelizes and makes the croissant so sweet and crunchy, while also being soft and buttery on the inside. It's so flakey and the perfect balance of flavors and textures! I also love their bacon scone - the flavor is so good ! Definitely my favorite pastry stop in sf - will always go back and take guests here!

Yelp
Arsicault is my favorite bakery in the city, so when I found out that they opened a new location in Mission Bay, I knew I had to stop by. I did have trouble finding it since it was tucked away behind a huge building. I arrived around 8:30am on a Tuesday and was surprised that there wasn't a line. Loved the modern and simple interior right when I walked inside. I love their croissants, especially their almond croissants. They are always extremely flaky and crispy. I ended up with regular & almond croissant, kouign-amann, and a vegetable galette. You can't go wrong with any of their pastries because they are excellent. I can't wait to come back again, especially now that they are open on the weekend.
google avatar

Yelp
Finally stopped by their newest location in mission bay and this place doesn't miss a beat. The croissants are IMO still the best in San Francisco. They are fresh flakey and buttery. The service here was excellent always friendly and welcoming. Prices are super reasonable for the Bay Area. This location is small so not much seating but it close to plenty of outdoor spaces and seating in the nearby area to enjoy your treats. Would recommend!
google avatar

Margaret T.

Yelp
Ahhh I LOVE Arsicault! So much so that I wish they would open a location in the Peninsula. Probably wouldn't be great for my wallet or waistline, but OMG do they know how to bake a killer croissant. No one else can reign supreme over their flakey goodness. This is the newest location and there wasn't a wait when I came by Saturday early afternoon. Selections were slim by 130pm, but I was still tempted by the blackberry hazelnut almond croissant ($6.75). It came warmed unexpectedly, and I inhaled it moments later as we were famished after working out at Barry's - basically worked out so I could treat myself to a pastry. Staff were all so nice and welcoming too! The location is clean and there's some seating outside.
google avatar

Minah L.

Yelp
The best croissants that don't ever disappoint! This one may have a crusty exterior but the inside is filled with fluffy, buttery smooth layers. The vegetable galette is also a must - a well-seasoned and flavorful savory treat. If you have a sweet tooth, the almond croissants are always a solid choice. This location offers coffee but unfortunately it tasted like an after thought. For an 8oz oat latte it was a hefty price at $6.50 and tasted extremely burnt (had to toss it out after a few sips). There's no indoor seating except a standing bar next to the windows. Nice and clean restroom and great customer service.

Yelp
I've heard about Arsicault Bakery from coworkers and have seen many positive posts on social media. I was very excited to visit this bakery during my trip to the city. The pastries are delicious and expertly prepared. Everything is perfection. If you love pastries or any kind of carbs--even if you don't--run, don't walk, to Arsicault Bakery! It will be worth every calorie. Here are the items I recommend: - Bacon Gruyère Quiche - Croissant - Chocolate Croissant - Almond Croissant - Shortbread Cookies - Mixed Berry Bostock - Iced Vanilla Latte I can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Yelp
A new branch of arsicault was opened and we had to give it a try . I got the classic - almond-chocolate croissant - one bite was enough to enjoy the perfection . Nothing like it - can't find such alight quality croissant anywhere else . One disclaimer : it is still not as good as the original branch (inner Richmond )- was missing some chocolate across the croissant . I would still prefer to go to the other one !
google avatar

Yelp
When you want to OD on butter...Arsicault. IMO, they have the most buttery and heftiest croissants in the city with the perfect honeycomb center and shatteringly crispy layers. They may not be my fav croissants in the city BUT you certainly get your monies worth unlike $8-$9 "aesthetic" croissants that don't deliver in taste, texture, and quality (i.e. a hyped up bakery in Santa Clara). Arsicault's almond chocolate croissant ($6.75) was bigger than my pom's head! Despite having a layer of sweet frangipane (almond paste) and nicely bitter sweet valrhona chocolate, you can still see the defined laminated layers. It was rich and buttery but gets quite sweet after several bites. Perfect for sharing. Since winning the "Best Bakery in America" award nearly 10 years ago, the lines at their OG Inner Richmond location have not died down. Hate lines and want a good selection? Head to their Civic Center location. Arsicault's newest Mission Rock/Mission Bay location (opened last month) has potential to be their BEST location... (+) No crazy long line after the initial opening hype. (+) Similar menu to their Civic Center location (sans sandwiches), both offer a larger selection than their OG Inner Richmond location. (+) Incredibly friendly staff. (+) Modern space, not cramped. (+) Nice communal seating in the courtyard. (+) Easy, plentiful parking at Pier 48, Lot A (non event days). The only negative is by noontime on a weekday, pickings were very slim. We ate at Flour + Water Pizza Shop across the way and never saw a line. The staff was super apologetic because they didn't even have butter croissants left and weren't making any more for the day. Hope they ramp up production soon to meet demand!

Archana R.

Yelp
Recommended by a friend so we came yest morning! LONG line so be prepared but it moved quicker than expected. LOTS of options as for bakery items but the bare basics for coffees. I had a craving for a plain croissant and though it was good, it wasn't anything to rave about. Very flaky and went well with my latte (from elsewhere) but I'd proally get something else next time. They had bar style standing tables inside so we ate quickly and left. It's a very nice building tho, all glass, perfect corner spot! Would be nice if they had vegetarian croissants similar to ham & cheese.. maybe mushroom and cheese?
google avatar

Kaitlyn L.

Yelp
The new Mission Bay location is so trendy and hip! Perfect to enjoy a delicious croissant on the sidewalk patio. I came on a Sunday morning around 11 and the line was already out the door. I love the chocolate almond and chocolate croissants: so buttery, rich, and melt in your mouth delicious with a tiny bit of crunch. Tastes almost like Paris. Their coffee comes on the smaller side in a 12 oz or 16 oz, but it was decent.
google avatar

Amy B.

Yelp
What have I been doing with my life? My quest for a great croissant in SF has been completed (though I'll continue searching in vain for the microscopic chance something better exists). Decided to stop by on a Sunday morning. Line was wrapped around the block but it moved quickly. I got a plain croissant, a chocolate almond croissant, and a bacon scone. They didn't even warm up the croissant for me, but when I bit in it was soft, buttery, decadent. Outside was crisp, but not crispy to the point of dry like croissants from other bakeries. I hate when people describe croissants as crispy because far too often it means dry and disgusting. No, these were perfectly flaky and tender. For once, the place lived up to the hype and I'm an idiot for not trying it sooner. I'm so jealous my sister lives and works nearby and can go every day!
google avatar

Leon Z.

Yelp
I got there late, only got a baguette and pain au chocolate. Super good though. Really tasty. The guy at the counter was super nice too. Also lovely area to be in

Yelp
I had never been here prior to this location opening and kind of sniffed at the idea of "best croissants" because how good can a croissant be? The answer: actually, very, very good. I have tried the almond croissant and the blackberry almond hazelnut croissant. They are hefty and finishing an entire one actually makes me feel a bit ill. But damn does it feel good while I'm eating it. I went on opening day and while there was a line coming out the door, I was in and out in 20 minutes. Staff were friendly and efficient. The almond croissants are piped full of luscious marzipan filling, and the bottoms are crunchy from the caramelized sugar. I thought there was a bit too much going on in the blueberry almond hazelnut. Should've kept it simple. I saved half and had the rest heated up the next morning and it was divine. I've also had the cookie, which is delicious. It's a bit crispier, not as chewy, but has a bit of saltiness that really pushes it over the top. Definitely pair your pastries with a nice bitter cup of black coffee. Next up: the ham and cheese croissant!!
google avatar

James H.

Yelp
I'm excited to having Arsicault Bakery within walking distance of work. I really like their pastries and frequent the other two locations. I've had most of the pastries but I like their almond croissant and apple turnover. The line on the second day of grand opening at 8 am was about 30 people deep. But the line moves quickly. They have an assembly line inside so get the orders out fast. Prices are a little more than the other locations. But understandable with the new location. Parking is tough in the area.
google avatar

Tiffany W.

Yelp
A gorgeous new location with plenty of parking available. Went on a Saturday during noon and had a line out the door, but moved relatively quickly. Their ham and cheese croissant and kouign-amann was delicious as usual! There were small area to enjoy your croissant but limited to no seating available.
google avatar

Annie S.

Yelp
This place is NOW OPEN ON WEEKENDS; in other words, it is now open 8am-3pm every day! Highly recommend coming here for some croissants. They're on the flakier side. Best croissants ever! I didn't know what a good croissant was until I tried Arsicault. I also didn't know Almond Croissants could taste so good too! I personally like the plain or almond croissants because they're not as sweet as the other ones here, but you really can't go wrong with anything here! Grab a cup of coffee and some pastries here and sit at the chairs along the water for a nice view of Oracle Park.
google avatar

Yelp
Food: 5/5 I had the almond croissant and the almond blackberry croissant. Normally I don't like almond croissants because most places add a lot of almond extract which adds a sickly sweet taste. I ATE THIS CROISSANT UP!!!! It was soooo good. I was worried it would be more stale because I went 20 min before they close, but it was still flaky, buttery, and moist (?) on the inside. So worth it to go out of our way from the peninsula to get this. I haven't tried the same items at the Richmond location, but the overall croissant quality was the same. Service: 4/5 People were nice :) I know that at the end of the day, people may be tired, so it was nice that the staff wasn't rushing the customers or anything. Ambiance: 5/5 Beautiful location by the waterfront! The sun was shining in, the space has tables you can stand and eat, and the store was clean. TLDR: came out of our way from the peninsula to get croissants, arrived right before closing, but the croissants were just as fresh and delicious as ever, and never fails to impress me

Yelp
What can I say, I LOVE Arsicault so of course I had to come try the newest location. This one is right next to the Giants stadium so there is a parking lot just keep in mind it's event parking priced so your best bet is still the street. The line was long but moved super quick and the staff is really efficient about getting orders taken and bagged quickly. I love Arsicault because no matter the location, the quality is the same. I got the almond croissant, blackberry almond croissant and a chocolate chip cookie. All incredibly delicious and incredibly fresh as I have come to expect. Never a disappointing visit.
google avatar

Winston L.

Yelp
Arsicault's newest location and I am living for it as someone who frequents downtown SF. There is plenty of parking and I came here on a weekend afternoon and the line is much less than their other locations. However, the quality of their baked goods has not changed. This is pretty much the best of both worlds. Though by the time I arrived, some of their goods were sold out, I managed to snag an almond croissant and Kouign Amann. I loved the almond filling as it wasn't too sweet and loved the flakiness of the Kouign Amann. This is a San Francisco classic and remains one of my favorite bakery in the city!

Yelp
After hearing so much hype about this place, I had to go check it out! I have now visited this place twice--once on a Monday at around 9:30 AM and again on a Sunday around 10 AM. There was a decent line both times, and wait time for ordering was around 10 min. Here is what I have tried so far: Blackberry Almond Hazelnut Croissant: Huge! I could not finish it in one sitting. The blackberry compote and the nutty flavors blended beautifully. Kouign Amann: it was flakey, buttery, and had a tasty glaze! While I really enjoyed the pastries, I was a little bit disappointed with the ordering experience. My companion was a first-time visitor, and he wanted to see all the pastry options before ordering as he was not familiar with this place. Ordering happens at the very beginning of the display, which was also blocked by the line of people waiting to pay at the cashier. We let the staff know that we needed more time and it was kindly accommodated, which I appreciated. However, people behind us who were ready were allowed to order ahead of us, pushing us further back in line. I think this place could really shine even more with just a little more organization as well as thoughtfulness toward the first-time visitors who may not be familiar with this place! Right now, it feels like a place you need to do your "homework" for in advance--looking up the menu and deciding ahead of time--rather than a spot where you can just casually stop in to browse and try something new.

Yelp
Sooo good! This new location is bigger than their Presidio one and has seating around the outside. Love the almond chocolate croissant (but it is huge and very sweet) and the veggie galette. You honestly can't go wrong with anything here. Came on a Saturday morning and line looked long but only took 20 min (it's muchhhh faster than butter & crumble line)

Yelp
Arsicault has been around for a while, nominated Best Bakery in America by Bon Appetit in 2016! Fast forward a few years, they've opened a few more outposts around the city, including this charming gem in Mission Rock. This location is quite lovely in Mission Rock. This location is in a beautiful location, in a newly landscaped area on the Bay Front. It's very close to the Giants Stadium, and also a short 3 minute walk from the T Muni line. This was a perfect little excursion before heading to work in Mission Bay. This particular location is bigger than the one in the Richmond district, and beautifully done with marble finishes, and a tall ceiling. The line was about 15 people long on a Friday morning around 8:30 am, but yes like other Yelpers mentioned, it did move quite fast! They have a good system down of having someone approach you first with your order, then a second person later by the cash register to ring you up. That being said, you kind of have to know what you want before you get here. Solid favorites - the Kouign Amann, croissants of any flavor or type, chocolate chip cookies, honestly any pastries. It's a weakness that this is so close to my work, I guess I will find myself coming back more and more often...

Yelp
Stopped by on a Sunday at around 2PM. Not sure if I parked legally, but thankfully I was able to find some right around the corner. I see this place has validated parking but not sure where to park to use that. There's also a bathroom, which isn't listed in the Yelp page. Inside looks pretty spacious and clean. Since it was pretty late in the day, I just dropped my wife off as she picked up 2 Chocolate croissants (it was that or plain). We already have enough food and sweets that day so we ate it the next day. I don't know if I was supposed to reheat it or not but whatever. Ate it a day late and it tasted fine, but not sure if it was worth $5. Would probably only come back early in the day, on a day there is no Giants or Warriors game, but not in a rush to try again.

Yelp
Tasty bakery but overhyped for what it's worth. I get why the bakery has its location going for it with not much alternatives in the area, but seeing the huge queue daily for a week (while staying in a hotel nearby) raised my expectations significantly. The almond croissant I waited in line for was way too heavy - was only able to eat 1/3rd and had the rest spread over another 3 full days (surprisingly enough it didn't go stale). I'm curious if the other items on offer are of equal or better quality. Price point was also on the higher end, but perhaps that's the European in me that's spoiled with cheaper alternatives at home.

Yelp
NEW LOCATION UNLOCKED!!! Just happened to be passing by yesterday and saw that it was open even though I think it's still listed as temporarily closed on some sites. Got a few different croissants (chocolate, plain, and ham) and a chocolate chip cookie. All of them were flakey, fresh and buttery!!! Just the way I like em! The chocolate was soft and decadent, compared to other bakeries that sometimes use ones that are too bitter or hard. Service was quick. We happened to go when there were no lines at all, maybe due to weather and it being new. I don't think they had anywhere to sit at the moment but there was a space to stand and eat your order. I loved that you could see all the pastries baking in the back, looks like heaven.

Yelp
So excited an Arsicault has opened in Mission Rock! Very lucky to be so close and arrive on opening week. We showed up at 11:30am on Friday and the line was pretty short, I'd say less than 5 minutes of a wait. I think some items were sold out, but they still had my favorite: the chocolate almond croissant! I got 4 of them (oops) along with 3 blackberry almond croissants. It's a quick and casual spot - there was no seating in the store and limited seating in the outside area, so we enjoyed our croissants back at home. That first bite into each croissant was absolutely heavenly. Buttery, flaky, delicious chocolate and almond and blackberry jam flavors coming together. My friend and I split half of each type of croissant and I was absolutely stuffed afterwards - wouldn't recommend eating an entire pastry by yourself in one sitting because these things are dense. I brought some of my extra pastries to some coworkers who had never tried Arsicault and they were a hit. Lifechanging croissants!!

Yelp
So excited this location finally opened. Their croissants are always warm, flaky, and tasty. Hours are currently only weekdays (8am-3pm) with future weekends coming in April. Luckily, there was hardly a line during lunch...I was in and out of the bakery in under 10 min. I did manage to secure the following goods: - Plain croissant ($5) - Ham & cheese croissant ($6.75) - Chocolate croissant ($6) Croissants rating - 5/5 You really can't go wrong with any of them. However, the plain and ham & cheese are consistently flaky and delicious. The ham is slightly salty inside the airy croissant. Flavor is just right all together. The staff is warm, and the bakery is clean and shiny/ new. I will certainly be returning to try the other pastries soon (maybe next week). It's the nation's best after all.

Yelp
Came here on opening day at 7:30 AM and there was already a line forming! It quickly grew to wrap around the corner. The owner I think came out to welcome us and say thank you for waiting, which I thought was very sweet. There's always a sense of home and welcoming going into an Arsicault. Everyone in line was so excited, and inside the shop the line was bustling. The employees were very nice and eager to help despite the rush. I know it was opening day and things were chaotic and it pains me to write, but the Kouign Amann here disappointed me. I've ordered many of them from their Civic Center location, and this one was much smaller and denser than I know they usually make. I hope this was just a tough day in particular and not the trend, otherwise my beloved favorite pastry will lose my endorsement. They also bagged one for me then left it on counter, but then when I got to the cashier he asked for them to bag another and gave that to me so my original pastry just sat on the counter. I'm sure it was because of the opening day chaos. Still excited about this new location opening on this side of SF -- can't wait to try the other goods here! They even have the Blackberry Bostock here which I know is only at the Civic Center location usually.

Yelp
So excited about the opening of this location! Arsicault is one of the best croissant places in San Francisco and now they have three different locations to choose from! We love the ham and cheese as it's a classic and perfect combination of flakiness, savory ham with cheese! A new fan favorite is the blackberry hazelnut croissants! They don't serve that at all of their locations, but this one luckily had it! Perfect location near the giant stadium! Large location with quick service as always!!

Yelp
Just as delicious as the other locations! Every item is wonderful, but of course the almond croissants are the star of the show. I will always make room in my stomach for one of those. The service is fast and efficient, and even when the line is a little long, it moves at a fair pace.

Yelp
Quite possibly the best Almond Croissant I've ever eaten. The croissants are crispy and decadent with tons of flavor. The line was long but moved fairly quickly. If you can snag a table, it's in a great low-traffic area with shade (on the street side) and if not, walk over to the park and sit out in the plaza overlooking Oracle Park, the creek and the Bay Bridge. Amazing new addition to the Mission Bay area. This whole area really is a gem.

Yelp
new location! we went around Friday 8:45am and it had a line out a door, but moved fast. we got the ham & cheese croissant ($6.75) which is my usual favorite, and the blackberry hazel almond croissant ($6.75), and they're delicious as ever! the ham & cheese is so flaky and light, and I liked the blackberry hazel almond croissant better than the chocolate almond croissant, the berry's tartness makes it less sweet

Yelp
I came an hour before opening just to make sure I got in quickly. This location is far from most transit so the lane mostly got started around 7:45/ 7:50 and they were swift and efficient! It is right by the water so the location is beautiful! Now onto the pastries! I get why everyone recommends this place! The croissant and the almond croissant were DELICIOUS!! The blackberry hazelnut croissant was fun to try but it felt a little overwhelming and a little too gooey inside so I would stick to the almond croissant. (But it was still delicious, like 4.5/5 when everything else is 5/5). I will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
New location! I had to be in mission bay early in the morning and wanted to stop by and try this place as it was hyped up on social media. I went Tuesday morning around 9am and there was a short line. The line went by fast and the staff was very nice. They have a public gender neutral bathroom and a few places to stand and have coffee. The croissants are interesting and good but I do think they are overhyped.

Yelp
i really wanted to try the kouignamann and quiche bc i've heard those are really good but we went in the afternoon so they were all out :( i ended up getting the veggie galette and ham and cheese croissant. both were super yummy and flaky, just wish they gave an option to heat up the pastries since they weren't fresh out the oven anymore. i toasted the galette later at home and it was amazing (i don't even like zucchini usually). croissant was very savory and crisp. the person working there was also so sweet - she even offered my friend a free mocha bc they messed up the order. i see why people really like this bakery and i would definitely come earlier next time to try their other stuff!

Yelp
Not too proud to admit this but I ate all 3 croissants within a span of 2 hours. It was so deliciously flakey and had a soft/warm texture inside. The wait time was quick but I learned that the lines would go super long in the morning. Sadly they ran out of ham & cheese croissants and I would have to wait 20-30 minutes for the next batch. Sadly I didn't have the time to wait but look forward for the next time I'm in San Francisco.

Yelp
So good, came here during opening week and got there about 20 minutes before opening. There was already someone in line so I was second. Once the doors opened they help you pretty fast. Was in and out pretty quick and ordered a variety of pastries (croissant, almond croissant, ham and cheese croissant, and some type of berry croissant, maybe blueberry?) Everything was so good. I've only been to the other civic center location and I'd say quality matches that one. Wish they had a location in the East Bay!

Yelp
They didn't have much left by the time I got there in the afternoon so I got a bacon scone, which was one of the only things that was left. It was okay. I want to come back earlier in the day to try more of their selection.

Yelp
It finally opened up in the neighborhood! I decided to stop by shortly after they open to avoid the lines but there was still a 15 min wait. Unfortunately, the regular croissant was already sold out by the time I got there and it was another 20 min wait so I got an almond and blackberry croissant. Both were so flaky and gigantic. I loved it and will come back to try the regular croissant. I'll be back when the line and excitement dies down!
