ArtHouse Crouch End

My friend and I showed our web-series on the big screen at this cinema and we were so pleased with how it went! Chris, David and the rest of the team helped us loads with setting it up and made sure the night went smoothly. I really recommend this cinema if you are making film/videos. Wonderful place! I lost my wallet there while visiting london in february, and I left the country the morning after. I contacted them and they were really generous, they found it and shipped it back to me and payed for the costs. The two workers I met there were really nice and helpful, and they were the ones to reply to my request the day after. Wonderful people, wonderful space!

Had a lovely time at Arthouse to watch Crouch End,would really recommend if you are 18-25 to take advantage of the £8 tickets!

Two theatres showing movies. Reasonably sized screens. Great choice of films, not just the blockbusters but foreign and independentovird too. Cafe is very comfy, full of movie memorabilia. Decent range of alcohol and soft drinks and some vegan sarnies, soup etc. throughly enjoyed the experience.

The team at ArtHouse recently helped me to organise a private film screening as an anniversary surprise for my girlfriend. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The team went above and beyond to accommodate us and have made a lasting memory that we will treasure. Thank you to David, Chris, Maddy and the rest of the team for such a wonderful evening. We will most certainly be visiting again soon!

The café is friendly, active and has a great cocktail selection.

The original and best art house cinema in Crouch End. Shows interesting, sometimes challenging films on limited release, as well as the more commercial. The bar offers drinks, hot beverages, cakes and snacks served by the helpful, friendly staff. Membership gives some free tickets and decent ongoing reductions. Enjoy this great, local asset!

My first time at this venue and it did not disappoint. For the size of the auditorium the sound is just right with booms in the right place and the sound of birds flying around my head ☺️ Great place for a movie night because of its cozy atmosphere. Bar staff are friendly, though could be more attentive especially when not busy

I've been here twice and while I like the cosy very Crouch End feel to this cinema. I'm not quite sure it's enough for me to come back and see big films. Maybe independent films that are only mainly screened here. That would be good selling point. Especially since Picturehouse has virtually opened next door, which I'm big fan of. I'm also a big fan of supporting local and it's testament that this cinema has been awarded best London cinema as a show of solidarity with locals. Virtually first cinema here in truth. The service is very good and food and drink good too. thought seats were ok comfort wise just can't help but feel something is missing in terms of environment within screens. Will give it another chance to update my thoughts in coming months as last time I went for review was August 2015. So I need a reminder but since it's ArtHouse I hope to catch an Art house film to suit.

I can see the appeal of this intimate independent cinema but it's just not for me. Seats were uncomfortably close together, there was less legroom than a Ryanair flight and there were no cup holders or tables even though they have a great selection of food and drinks outside. The best thing about this cinema is the food which is mostly locally sourced from nearby restaurants. They have a selection of sandwiches, cakes, ice creams, nuts and fruit snacks. The lemon drizzle cake is to die for. They also have a fully stocked bar to meet any of your drinking needs. Arthouse is good if you're looking for a homely feeling kind of cinema but the seats were just so uncomfortable I just wanted to get out of there by the end of the film. It probably didn't help that the film was spectre which I found long and super boring!

In many ways this is what cinema should be all about and what was lost in the long years of the Odeon wilderness. I know that there is a more recent trend for more Indy cinemas like the Picture House or Curzon, but the Arthouse is a truly independent cinema and all the better for it. It has two cosy screens and shows lots of Indy and forgeign films as well as a few blockbusters. They do a very reasonably priced annual membership too. There is a lovely bar/cafe and all the staff are very nice.

This is a great little cinema. I went there tonight to watch Whiplash. I was greeted by a couple of teenage boys playing jazz in the cafe and a group of cinema-goers having a quiet drink and snack at the bar. The bar sources all its produce locally, so instead of getting a regular coke, I was given a bottle of natural Dalston Cola (really nice, actually!) and my other half got some local beer. The room the screening was in was split-level: half of the people sat right in front of the screen, while the others watched from the balcony. I was downstairs and thoroughly enjoyed the screening in this cosy, fashionably shabby looking place. Will definitely go there again.

A very intimate and unique theatre. The staff at the cafe will let you know when the house is open and you will be like in your living room, but with a bigger screen. I really enjoyed it. But I guess is not everybody's cup of tea.
