The 15 Best Restaurants In Cape Town - Cape Town - The Infatuation
"It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what makes Arthur’s Mini Super so special. It might be the buttery toasted sandwiches dripping with cheese or bacon, or the fact that you can feel the Atlantic breeze on your face when you’re sitting on a sidewalk seat. Perhaps it’s the kind owners, who really do know every regular customer by name. But most likely, it’s the combination of all of the above, which is what makes this sunny café the ultimate neighborhood joint. It’s as good for a morning coffee as it is for a post-seaside-walk glass of wine and neighborly chat." - mary holland

"Since Arthur’s Mini Super opened a few years ago, it has developed a bit of a cult following, and there could be no better place in the city for people watching. Set on a side road off Sea Point Main Road, Arthur’s is the neighborhood cafe you always dreamed of. There’s really good coffee, all-day breakfasts (scrambled eggs and Reuben toasties) served by friendly staff, and a grocer stocking local burrata, cured meats, house-made chile sauce, and more. In the evenings, the cafe transforms into a bar serving martinis, local wines, and open-faced sourdough sandwiches like pan con tomate and spicy sardines sauteed with anchovies." - Mary Holland
Great cafe in seapoint. Loved the interiors and style and a lovely relaxed atmosphere there. We went on a Sunday and it was crazy busy and loud but we managed to get a seat. We thought it might be a surface only type place but the food was so good!! We had TJ chicken sandwich with hot sauce and the Greek salad, both so tasty! Great coffee too

Nice cafe, love the vibe and the service was good! You order at the counter and they bring your order to you. The cappuccino was really good, the breakfast was a bit basic - nothing new or out of this world, but it tasted good :) There are some better breakfast spots in the area that make really good and creative breakfasts, but this restaurant creates the basic really well and the vibe is really good!

The cheese and tomato toastie was really delicious and very filling. The mandarin juice was good, a bit bitter for me. Really good quality food and good value for money. The breakfast buns look amazing.

The guy from Zimbabwe gives the best service! His recommendations were bang on, the beer was good, sandwich was filling, and the salad was so refreshing! 5/5 in every category🎉

Pretty awesome little spot a real gem, only problem is you have to order at the front and sometimes there is a line and space can be limited. Food is really good and a wide variety of breakfasts and toasted sandwiches!!! Burger was good but more like an old school tasting burger and their sauce options are great!! Their wine options are really top notch, bought an orange wine which is hard to get around Cape Town.

No clear signage about their “no laptops” policy unless you pay an additional R100 to use their co-working space. I was only told after ordering and paying for my breakfast, and had to close my laptop, so I couldn’t work. I had specifically come to Arthur’s and driven 20 minutes, as I’ve always enjoyed it, but it ended up being a complete waste of my time. This should be clearly communicated upfront before paying. A disappointing experience

A delightful wine bar that has quickly become my favorite place for a few drinks and breakfast or lunch. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and fun. Generously sampling wines to those who ask advice and offering guidance to find what you are looking for or even something new. A great mix of classical and naturally -fermented wines on offer at reasonable prices. Nice street-view bar and cafe tables outside make it a great people watching spot with a definite vibe that varies from night to night- but always great even when quiet. I definitely recommend Arthur’s as I’ve never had a single complaint and it’s always a lot of fun.
