Art's Bakery & Cafe

This bakery has some really delicious pastries, they make pizzas and deli sandwiches as well. The food was very delicious and well made. The bakery was well maintained and the staff were very friendly. The bakery has limited parking and finding parking in a busy day is very difficult. I only waited about 5 minutes for staff to attend me during the busiest hours of the day when I visited. Overall this bakery is must visit if you are in the area.

They have great people working here- at least I have been served by the great ones :) Lilit is such a sweet person! And Vard/Rose too. Art’s has the BEST shish!! And they have this beautiful addition of new tables and chairs. Keep up the good work.

Went for the kabob plates! They gave us free ponchik (armenian donuts) and lahmacun. everything was good quality, tasted amazing and the staff were very kind. Get the rice, it’s very fragrant and so delicious! Will be back for the plates!

The atmosphere is quaint yet showcases beautiful and tasty food! Pizza and pastry samples were very good, and Agayane was extremely helpful, making sure we got exactly what we wanted for our party. Happy to visit again. <3

This bakery is so cute and the food/service is amazing. I have to say the chicken kabob was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Pastries are absolutely delicious!

I had the pleasure of trying Art’s Bakery in Glendale and was genuinely impressed! I ordered the chicken kabobs and pizza—both were absolutely delicious. The kabobs were perfectly seasoned and juicy, and the pizza had a fantastic crust with rich, savory toppings. Beyond the food, the staff made the experience even better. They were incredibly warm, attentive, and welcoming, which made me feel right at home. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

I’ve been coming here for years. Great bakery. Delicious and affordable. Kitchen expansion is even better. You can’t beat their hummus, or beef kabobs. Ponchiks, and shotipuri are perfect. Clean, and spacious. But…the service. I’ve been here on several occasions where the staff is disorganized, forgets orders, or is just flat out rude, almost a sense of hostility. Can’t help but feel that because I didn’t speak Armenian, they got frustrated. Seems like a trend in their reviews. The Atmosphere at times makes you want to just get your food and get out. Also, three separate lines for three types of items. Apparently you have to stand in each to get different foods, even when the bakery is empty…

I am very satisfied with this cake. I've ordered several cakes here for my kids' birthday and my last baby shower. The flavor was great, and everyone enjoyed it. Best in cake, no jokes

I would give this bakery 10 stars if I could! My daughter's boyfriend ordered her birthday cake from Art's Bakery - and we were so impressed! It was not only beautiful, but also delicious. Thank you for helping make her birthday so special!

I like most everything I've tried from Art's... food is generally great (has quality and taste), but it's usually overpriced compared to other nearby establishments. We ordered a box of potato perashki and the dough was raw and uncooked from the inside (only a thin outside layer was cooked) for all of it. This is a safety concern. Restaurant owner/manager should really do better at educating their staff on basic food safety and how to properly set temperatures or cook times. Be careful. Raw dough can lead to very serious symptoms.

I'd like to start by stating I used to be an avid Arts bakery client before their remodeling etc. I absolutely loved everything I purchased from there. I'm glad they remodeled and got things going with their internet sales and social media. It makes me happy when I see all nationalities coming in and buying Armenian pastry. I moved away for 9 years and finally moved back to my hometown of Glendale. We decided to order some Ponchiks and while we were there the kids picked out two additional items. I was pretty surprised at their new pricing for each item approximately $6 each for an eclair and strawberry cake. And I would be ok with it but when we got home, you could tell that the strawberry cake was old and I didn't let my son eat it. And my other son got the chocolate eclair and it was so dry and smaller than it looked when we picked it out. Overall, so disappointed in the quality. That's not to say I won't go back to give them another try. Maybe it was just an off day and I'm hopeful that it'll be better when I try one more time. Only because I know they typically have awesome quality control. The Ponchiks on the other hand were on point but that's also because we ordered two dozen to take into the office the following morning and they were freshly made. The pricing and quality of the Ponchiks are what saved this review from going any lower. The employees are always friendly. And they sell kabobs and savory salads and things too other than pastry.

This is a Glendale neighborhood gem. Over the years we have watched it grow from a tiny hole in the wall to a very lovely, clean and updated cafe. They have the BEST Shoti Puri Bread bread which is also carried in many of the Glendale and Burbank grocery stores. Once you tried it, you will be hooked. They sell out daily but fortunately you can call ahead to reserve it. My daughter and I stopped by last week for a quick afternoon snack. We had a dozen of the mini custard ponchiks and Armenian coffee. Perfection! We sat in the patio for fresh air. It was beautiful experience. The customer service was also excellent. The ladies spoke Armenian and English. They make Armenian or American coffee. I also noticed they now also offer hot meals. And they have plenty of side parking.

Art's Bakery & Cafe to me has some of the BEST traditional Armenian/Eastern European pastries (sweet and savory) in Glendale, CA. My friend always bring us a bunch of stuff from here: Nazook/Gata, Cream Cheese Rolls, Peroshkis, Ponchiks, Boreks! All great! Their Cream Puffs are pretty good too! Art's is probably my favorite Armenian/Eastern European bakery in the area because they also have GREAT KABOBS grilled on site! Made to order on charcoal fire grill. Smoky flavorful above average deliciousness! Their cold and hot side dishes are also great! Give Art's Bakery a try! Parking available adjacent to the bakery.

My Uber driver told me to try Art's. I went to get pastry for a dessert and they were phenomenal. Often times pastry like this looks good but tastes disappointing but not at Art's. The pastries are divine! So excited to come back to try more.

If you want fresh and delicious food look no further go to Art's. I love coming here for lunch when in the area. Today we got this bbq lule kebab wrapped in dough. It was so delicious. We also got roasted potatoes, ajika, ajar and mushroom pilaf and purslane yogurt salad. Everything tasted amazing. It's so nice to see them make the food fresh after you place the order. The store is clean and organized, they have tables outside for dine in. They have catering services as well. Sandwich and bbq trays with sides and salads. Freshly baked breads and byoreks. The bakery side is also filled with fresh pastries and cookies. They are known for their freshly baked gatas. They also make custom cakes for special occasions. Customer service is ok most of the time.

I contacted Art's Bakery for a custom Spongebob themed cake for my sister's birthday. The designer did an amazing job and Katerina was so wonderful throughout the order process. It wouldn't be fair not to share the results! :D

Our first time here & it was an eye opening. We loved the bakery side & Gavane was very helpful and made our experience wonderful. She was fantastic, rather than stand behind the counter she was standing in front next to us. Patiently waiting for questions & our orders. So many to choose from. The pastries were spectacular and they were so beautiful to look at. It was not too sweet, just perfect. It is not just a Bakery, they have savory foods too. The lamb chop, beef, pork, and lamb kabobs were all seasoned deliciously. Lilia was wonderful and explained each of the combinations we ordered. The meats are all prepared waiting for your selection. The asparagus, Kale salad and beet dishes are tasty and so different. We will be back and looking to try the other cakes and dishes. Thank you for making our day wonderful.

GREAT CAKES FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS ================================ We needed a sheet cake for my nephew's engagement/Kentucky Derby party, so my husband ordered one from his new favorite bakery. It was a great multilayered vanilla cake with strawberries and whip cream. As I mentioned before the whip cream passed my Persian food snob's (PFS) test. PFS placed the order with Katrina earlier in the week. The cake turned out beautifully and tasted great. It was a hit with the large number of attendees in the thirty something crowd as well as all their kids. Also, we tried some of their cream puffs with chocolate on the outside and chocolate whip cream inside. Those are dangerous and delicious.

This is maybe my 3 time coming here and it's been at least two years since I last came before today. One thing I remember is Gayane in the bakShe was so warm and welcoming and so very kind, and is still the same today. She is what keeps me coming back! She is a true sweetheart and live up to her Armenian name. As a black woman walking into what is foreign to me, she made me feel so comfortable and explained everything to me with such kindness and sincerity. God bless you always Gayane!

For Valentine's Day I had the Lemon Raspberry Mousse cake and it was delicious. The flavor combination was well done. The sweetness and textures blended very nicely. The cake had a lot of attention to details, it was decorated beautifully that I didn't want to cut it lol. I also enjoyed the Custard Cream Ponchiks. I like that they weren't too sweet, and pairs well with coffee. The service was friendly. My first time trying & I will definitely go back to try more of their food items.

My students recommended this place to me, walking distance from our classroom, and a manageable retreat during our daily break from paragraph writing. Of course I went with some Armenian Coffee and a Nazook, keeping it local, with homage paid to Armenia. Both were outstanding and even the short walk over was a welcomed respite from the Tropicana Building at GCC. Art's Bakery brings it and I will certainly be a repeat customer as the selection there seemed endless...

Very nice bakery and restaurant. Ordered the beef lulah combo which took about 15-20 minutes or more to come out. The food was tasty but for the price of nearly $20 and the amount of time it takes to come out, I probably won't make the drive to come back.

It was my first time visiting this cafè and it DID NOT disappoint. I would start of with the following: *Ambiance - The floor, glass doors, windows are neat *Food - My family ordered the Shawarma plate, and 2 beef lulah plates: The meats are tasty,tender and fresh from the grill which is very rare for me to find when it comes to kabob places around. I love how we can really that the grilling area is neat and employees I really can see that they do good food handling practices. *Employees - Lilith helped me decide what to order since it is my first time visiting their cafe. Lyuisa (I hope her name is right) Helped me check if my order is almost ready. I would say this place really has great employees that takes care of their customers. The food here is really good. They have amazing bread and pasties. I will however not go back. The service here is terrible. They skipped over us and did not serve us. They kept getting customers which the employee there knew and they kept skipping us. They did not serve us at all. Once we started to complain is when they started paying attention to us, be wary. Very rude

Art's Bakery has always been my go to bakery since I was a kid. Granted I did move out of Glendale but make the drive from Woodland Hills to come here. They've always had the best cakes always super fresh and very light. The service is always amazing everyone is so nice and helpful. I hadn't seen the remodel until very recently and I think it's beautiful as well. If you're looking for a good cake for any celebrations I highly recommend coming here!

Affordable, delicious, and beautiful pastries and cake. We came here to order a gender reveal cake to feed about 5 people. They quoted us for a small cake after we gave her a picture of the cake we wanted. We ordered some of the savory and dessert pastries. The bread was buttery, warm, and tasty. The parking lot wasn't too busy. They have a decent sized lot. The customer service was great and our experience was fabulous. Overall, I would definitely come back again.

Loved Art's! So impressed by the selection of desserts and food. Absolutely delicious! We decided to also order a custom birthday cake after several visits. The cake decorator was wonderful! She spent a half an hour designing the cake down to every single detail of a heart shaped, old fashioned cake with an image of Lana Del Rey. Though she was unfamiliar with the singer, she spent much time researching her online, looking at different images to see which would print best as well as the color scheme and cake flavor that would best complement the look. She was very sweet and patient and was genuinely interested in creating the most beautiful cake! She actually made the process so much fun! Thank you Art's, your cake left my daughter speechless!

I have ordered cakes for myself, family and friends. Every time it has been perfection! The last cake I ordered was just as I requested; moist, the right amount of sweetness , and rich with toppings that I had requested.

This place has the best food you can find. My favorite is the khatchapuri kebab. It is to die for. The workers and owners are always nice and give warm energy to customers. Definitely have to try and support your local business.

Love coming here for all my parties. The pre-made salad section is absolutely amazing, filled with traditional salads and appetizers that give off that home made taste. Lilit, Arpi, and Lilia were extremely helpful when I visited Art's Bakery. I go out of my way to come to this bakery (despite there being dozens closer to my home) because their sweets and savories are unlike any other. Their savory food is the closest thing to homemade and their pastries are delicious. The staff is extremely helpful and kind. You will not find another Armenian bakery like this in all of LA.

Always a go to spot for me, fresh bread everyday. Their perashki with potato are always the best. One thing I also tried recently are the kabob wraps which is very unique. Very clean place.

Nice local bakery in Adams Square. They have a wide variety of baked sweets, cookies, pastries, and cakes as well as freshly made savory dishes (kebabs, pita, wraps). There is a dining area outside in the front with clean tables and chairs. Adjacent to the bakery is a parking lot, although it's reserved for the legal services office nearby. Would recommend trying the business.

Came here for the first time this evening. Actually came because I saw their IG post on Lahmajun. Unfortunately, they don't currently offer that but I was happily surprised with everything else I ordered instead. We told Nara it was our first time and she was so helpful, patient, and accommodating. She recommended def the pork belly bbq (forgot the name) which was well seasoned and good. The chicken thigh kebab was very good. The standouts were the beet salads, tabuleh, eggplant and walnut roll from the deli case. The walnut baklava was also very well executed and perfectly crispy. Definitely going to add this place to my rotation.

I struck gold when needing a bakery to do a custom cake for my daughter's 13th bday! I had called around several bakeries in the area and no one was taking orders for custom cakes with an edible picture. My daughter is a huge fan of Lana Del Rey and wanted this cake. I only had a picture of what the cake looked like. I was on a mission to find a place that could do it. Art's bakery won my business to make the cake. I submitted a question online with the picture of what I wanted on the cake. I received a phone call the same day with a price quote and confirm the cake flavor. Overall, it was a success for the bday party. Cake looked and tasted great! For me the biggest satisfaction was seeing my daughter's huge smile that she got the cake she wanted! I will definitely return back to Art's bakery! Katerina who helped me with the order is super friendly and helped make a teen's bday a hit with her friends! Thank you Katerina and the rest of the hang at Art's!

The best bakery in town! Specially for cakes, I always order cakes for my kids B-day, and Arts bakery goes beyond and above to serve the yummy cakes and of course the best designs ever. Katerina the store manager is very nice and helpful, she's the best. She will do her best to keep the customers happy Nara is amazing too. Love you guys, can't wait to see you soon

This is the second time this has happened. My wife and I went in tonight. 4 Armenian associates (women) were all huddled up when we walked in behind the counter. Suddenly they all scattered, it was obvious they were not busy as nobody was inside, but all of a sudden busy?. They did not greet us, and did not say, "will be with you or let us know when your ready". Nothing! Another customer who walked in who was Armenian was served immediately. My wife and I just looked at each other. We waited 10mins, still no greet or service. We left! You guys officially lost mine and my families business. Sad thing is that we liked your desserts too. This business only caters to Armenian people and no one else, we experienced that twice here. (We are Mexican) If you're the business owner, roll your cameras back to 10/2/23 around 7pm Monday night for proof.

I love coming here!! I get all my cakes here ever since I moved to Glendale. I've been to every bakery in Glendale and there's always something missing but I swear every cake I order from here I always get compliments with how light but moist and tasty they are. Katerina is the best! The whole staff really. So accommodating and the other reason I keep coming back monthly. I love the lunch here too and their eclairs !!! Ugh I'm obsessed

Designed my own cake for my fiancé's 40th birthday and it came out perfect (besides the incorrect spelling of his name - probably on me more than anything haha). The execution was incredible and the cake itself tasted delicious. Katarina was very helpful during the design process and capture what I wanted! Everyone was happy - only thing to remember witch black icing is that it does stain a bit when consuming lol! Overall - it was amazing!

Art's Bakery has the best nazooks! The service is amazing and the cake designs and food are fabulous. It's a great place to get authentic foods.

I recently placed an order for a custom cake for my daughter's birthday. She continuously asked for this style of a cake. The cake was beautiful and they captured my daughter's vision of a vintage cake down to each fine detail. The cake was packed with flavor and fresh, and the icing was just the right amount of sweet. The whole process of customizing the cake was such a breeze and the manager of the bakery was a pleasure to speak with. Would totally order another cake from them for another occasion.

There are so many bakeries in Glendale, but I have to say this is one of my favorites. Their pastries are always fresh, parking is on the side and never a problem to find a spot. Staff very friendly. I personally love their nazooks

Great cake! Great service! Katarina worked with me from 6000 miles away! She went above and beyond to help make sure that my daughter's birthday cake was what we wanted. My daughter had a beautiful, delicious cake. And plenty of it! Lots of layers with delicious chocolate mousse. She was thrilled. We'll definitely be ordering from Art's again!

Terrible customer service, I urgently needed a fruit tart and I called Art's to ask if they sold them AND if they were ready for pick up, the lady over the phone not only assured me that they had them, but also bragged about them being the best in Glendale. I drove and arrived 10 minutes after that call and they told me they were "all out for the day". Mind you, it was only 10:30am. I was very disappointed with the lack of communication and overall customer service.

I came to Art's bakery today to get Zokanch cake (mother-in-law) that's my favorite cake. They offered me to taste their new potato ball with mushrooms, I can say one word, it was delicious. I bought 10 of them. If you stop by there you should try them i'm sure you will love it. I highly recommend this place for their quality food.

Art's is our neighborhood bakery, and we absolutely love it. Their baked goods, both sweet and savory, are delicious and all very beautiful. They have talented artists creating works of art with their cakes. Their cafe is also top notch, with tasty kabobs and sides. We love to eat lunch here or order a dinner platter. I decided to ask them to make me a cake for my birthday this year, and of course it didn't disappoint. I went with their most popular inside (marble and berries and chocolate cream) and my family and I loved the flavor, texture and unique design they made. Arts, and Katarina, thank you for serving the community the most delicious baked goods and cuisine!
