Google
We each got 5 different tacos - chicken, beef, carnitas, chorizo, and al pastor. All of them were different and quite good! We especially liked the condiments bar - the sauces were good, we could pick as much jalapeño and onion as we wanted. Just great overall. Definitely prefer this over the other taco truck in the area where we've gone a couple of times and all the tacos taste the same.

Google
Tacos were good, but the "carne asada fries" had nachos cheese on them instead of melted shredded cheese, so it made the fries soggy really quick.

Google
I don’t like how Google makes you rate atmosphere for food trucks—like seriously? Anyway, I’ve always ordered one thing here, which is the California Burrito. Highly recommended. I’ve ordered it with carne asada and lengua, and I can tell the meat has been marinated or at least flavored. Only thing I can ask for is the French fries in the burrito to be more crisply, but I’m guessing it’s tough for that to happen when you’re in a food truck. Let me know if there is a better cali-burrito place, but so far this is the best in west Pasadena.

Google
Tacos from a truck just hit the spot. And Arturo’s taco truck is no exception. These two bite tacos are so delicious and affordable, anyone visiting Southern California has got to try them. They satisfy your mouth, tummy, and soul. Really great stuff, make sure you eat them fresh to fully enjoy.

Google
Arturo’s SLAPS. Period. So grateful this business exists—there are woefully few late night food options in Pasadena. Cash only. We enjoy their horchatas and aguas frescas as well. 🥤

Lerissa Anglo

Google
Burrito tasted good but was kind of expensive. Too thin for me. I used to gordito burrito for $10 bucks in valley, probably cause it was Pasadena . Condiments are ok too.

Google
This is hands down one of the best Taco trucks in LA. My wife and I are here every week getting tripas, asada, lengua tacos. Freshly made along with the awesome condiments and salsa that they have, it's a great Taco trucks experience. The guys working in the truck are super friendly too. Stop by and enjoy!

Jeffrey K

Google
My absolute go to spot for tripas tacos & burritos! Love their food!

Yelp
Decent tacos for $2.50 per. Got the asada, pastor, and tripa. Generous with their meat, and good flavor. Cooked in a way where the meat is less tender and more chewy. Would've liked for the tripa to be more crispy than chewy. Salsas are bomb, and so are their pickled onions. I would like to try their lengua next time! They have parking spaces in the back but no where to really stand or sit to eat outside. Easily found street parking as well around 10PM on a Wednesday.

Yelp
Posted on IG on 9/7/24 I was so excited to see "my" taco truck on the LA Times 101 Best Tacos list!! Tonight's visit was the beginning of my newest quest: to try all of the tacos on the list (except fish unless they're fried @jenn_harris_ listed Arturo's lengua taco as the one to try, and I did!! It was meaty, as she described, and a little gamey imho. But definitely good. Of course, I had to also get a carne asada because they are the BEST!!! And what's better than standing next to a concrete wall in an empty tire store parking lot and eating tacos?!?! One down, 100 to go.
google avatar

Yelp
As of 4/20, tacos were $2.50 each. It took less than 5 minutes from ordering to receiving the tacos. There's not really a place to eat that I saw, but they do have a self service sauce/lime/onion station! There are street lights, but you'll probably end up eating over your paper plate standing up. To be honest, everything was a little dry and bland. The meat portions were generous, but I'm not sure I'd be back given the quality. This is a taco truck in Pasadena-you're going to have to street park!

Yelp
Taco truck located on Fair Oaks in Pasadena. I'm not too familiar with the area, but the street didn't seem to busy when I visited on a weeknight to grab some dinner on the way home from work. There's a lot and seemingly plenty of street parking around. Since it wasn't too busy, the vibe here was pretty chill and was able to order from some helpful folks pretty much right away. What brought me here was the LA Times list...so I ordered a lengua taco as well as a tripa taco. Lengua tacos aren't usually my go to especially when I'm going to new spots, but glad I tried it here.

Yelp
Fell off. Prices raised as all places but they cut the size of the food too. The burrito I got was easily half the size of the burritos they used to serve. Might I add the price was doubled. It made no sense to Cut back on both. With Los Californias Tacos down the street with cheaper and higher quality flavors down the street, this places advantage was burritos. Then they cut and cut. Please give better next time. The service is any street scene. Calm, after party Crowd which amps it up. They are fast. I just can't get over the poor portions and high price. Taco trucks charging restaurant prices make no sense. Sorry. You will not get your moneys worth. Why 3 stars? Decent flavors and decent service. Overpriced food.

Yelp
Solid little taco truck in the area! Had a craving for tacos or a burrito after a late night shift and as I was thinking about where to go I drove past this truck, so I decided to give it a shot. It was around 11pm when I came, there were maybe two other people there waiting as well, but their wait wasn't long. The truck seems clean and they have a self serve salsa station in the front which is awesome, not stingy with their salsas lol. Service was good, and food was out quickly. The burrito was yummy but pretty basic as far as an asada burrito goes; the beans and rice were cooked well and had good flavor, but the meat definitely left you wanting more in terms of taste. For the price, at the late night hours and for the serving size it's a solid option for sure and if it's ever late again and I have a craving maybeee I'll be back hehe Recommend if it's late and there's not many options, or for something cheap and quick!

Yelp
I have memories coming here as a child, after landing back in the area on a return flight. It is convenient that the truck is open late and is also in a well lit, safeish area.
google avatar

Yelp
sooo satisfying especially after a long night! opens late and a lot of people stop by for a quick lil bite (or big... if ur habibi) i always order buche (delicious as always)/ pastor (more on the drier side) tacos and it's enough to fill me up but my bf got the cali burrito and that thing's huge; packed with crispy fries and meats -- although it was better with the green avocado salsa ! i really appreciate the cleanliness and organization of the cilantro, onions, lemons and bottles of sauces! also a bit pricey imo but shoutout habibi for always feeding me mwah :-)

Yelp
Excellent taco truck! Super friendly staff and so many choices! Loved that there were offal choices like intestine and stomach. Flavors were amazing. Salsas were good. Located in a parking lot so plenty of parking and they have a few chairs out if you want to sit there and eat.
google avatar

Stephanie L.

Yelp
$2.50 or $2.75 for tacos. Arrived at 4:55 pm and they wouldn't take our order until 5 pm on the dot. Tripa was crunchy, asado and al pastor was flavorful but fatty. Service can be better with so many other taco trucks in the area.

Yelp
Undoubtedly, it is the best taco stand I have ever experienced--elite level of food and a low-priced menu that is no frills and all quality. I visited twice recently while in SoCal, and their Fair Oaks Avenue parking lot provides ample and spacious parking. Their lines can be longer, but it is worth it. People are thrilled to be there, so it is a fun atmosphere, with various families, dates, business people, and locals just getting their fill of their favorite food truck. I enjoyed their asada tacos both times, and they were terrific. Somehow, their asada beef is the best I have ever had, and their vegetables are fresh and plentiful. I love their hot and green sauces, too. While I LOVE the tacos, I also enjoyed their Alambres for the first time on this visit, which was spectacular! A mix of asada beef, vegetables, and other tasty items was extraordinary and worth both the short wait and the $15 price. An explosion of taste with various spiciness, it was so darn good. Cash only, open 6 PM to 2 PM most nights and until 3 AM Friday and Saturday.

Yelp
Actually came here because the wait at King Taco was over 30 min and they were out of quesadillas and cheese. There's plenty of street parking and the truck is located right by an intersection so easy access. We ordered an assortment of tacos, a sope and quesadilla. The chorizo was really good, not oily at all. The carne asada was pretty comparable to other taco spots and the quesadilla was great. I was prob least impressed with the sope cuz it was a little too soft and chewy for my taste. I also like that they have a topping station for onions, cilantro, salsas, radishes and lime/lemons so you can put as much or as little as you prefer. It is cash only so be prepared for that. The tacos are also on the pricier side IMO at $2.50-$2.75 compared to other taco trucks but it's not bad.

Yelp
We were arriving from a late night concert and not too many restaurants are open at this late hour. I hadn't been to this taco truck in years and it was ok then and it's still ok now. My carnitas burrito's meat was a bit hard and dry and overall it was just ok, more like meh. The hot salsas were a let down and didn't have a good flavor or a good heat level to them.

Big C.

Yelp
How is this placd rated 3.8? Beats me. Best tacos in Pasadena. The pastor is a must have regardless of what medium you prefer
google avatar

Jason G.

Yelp
This local taco truck is semi permanently parked on Fair Oaks and is open late. There's pretty much always a few people out front and sometimes a crowd. The menu selection is enough but the tacos seem to be quite the hit and popular. I had al pastor and asada tacos and they were delicious.
google avatar

Max D.

Yelp
Burritos are almost $3 more expensive than it was a yr ago and the portions are significantly smaller. Quality has gone down too, especially how the Salsa is really water down now. Honestly, overall just not worth it anymore, spend the extra 10 mins and drive deeper into LA for better food.

Yelp
Arturo's deserves more love! my entire family eats here at least three times a month. It's always consistent, delicious, and affordable. Their salsas are amazing! I bring friends who are visiting from out of town to eat here, and they're always satisfied and ask to come back. I know that all restaurants (including taco trucks) have off nights and make mistakes, but I don't understand all the negative reviews- Arturo's is solid. I've been coming here for over a decade and I've never had a problem. plus, their employees are courteous and there's tons of parking.

Yelp
Thank you for being open on Christmas Day after 10pm! Tacos hit the spot. Appreciate it
google avatar

Taryn B.

Yelp
CA$H only but sooooo worth it ~ especially at 1AM. I love both their al pastor and buche meats, so I typically get 2 of each. If I remember, I also get a horchata. A couple of weeks ago, I got their California Burrito, and it was really good and filling - I forgot to take a photo because I was chowing down.
google avatar

Gerardo G.

Yelp
New to the area so I'm always looking for some good tacos. Found this on my way to Cerveceria Del Pueblo. They're cash only so I only had enough for one taco (2.50) and let's just say I busted a mission to find an atm cuz I needed to have a few more lol. I usually frequent spots in LA for my tacos (avenue 26, Angeles tacos, Leo's tacos, flame grill, etc etc) and lately been feeling like the Al pastor trompos been lacking in flavor. Arturo's tacos def has some amazing flavors, the Al pastor and asada we're on point I highly recommend ! Something I appreciate is how often they refilled and cleaned the salsa bar ! Love that attention to detail
google avatar

Mari S.

Yelp
The best Lengua ever and the burrito are yummy put the salsa in the plastic baggies. The little container really don't work. The lids are kind of weird.

Leon M.

Yelp
Always the best. Plus their red salsa is bomb! Good hospitality and overall great experience!

Isaiah C.

Yelp
Placed an order for 45 tacos. They forgot to give us 15 of them. When the issue was raised, we were told that once we hand over the money and walk away, it is no longer their problem. Also overheard them discussing amongst each other how to handle the issue. In Spanish, they told each other that they would lose out either way if they were to refund us or give us the tacos that we ordered. Therefore, they refused to do either. Very rude and unprofessional workers.
google avatar

Annie N.

Yelp
Loved the asada tacos! $2.50 each. Lots of people in line but they're super efficient with a numbering system and loudspeaker. Lots of sauces at the folding table.
google avatar

R. S.

Yelp
Tacos were really good and hit the spot at this truck. I'm very picky about carne asada, I don't like much fat and prefer a leaner meat. This truck met those expectations and at decent price of $2.50 a taco! Perfect for a quick dinner or late night snack. We will def return! Especially loved all the salsa and toppings looked fresh. They are really quick as well!
google avatar

ittai s.

Yelp
Overall: between meh and ok. The prices have gone up and the amounts of meat on the tacos shrunk. The asada burrito was pretty good. The pastor taco was too dry
google avatar

Nick H.

Yelp
I'm so romantic about this place I'm going to get married there. Zero percent joking. Consistent and delicious.
google avatar

Mickey H.

Yelp
Whoa, what happened to this place? I frequent here often for late night taco cravings and won't be coming back anytime soon. The owner or whoever was taking orders that night was so rude and inconsiderate. The truck stripped off their entire menu and pricing sheet so new customers found it perplexing as to what they offered. When I placed my usual asada/pastor orders and asked what other meats they had, he completely disregarded the question and gave me this awful look like I was incompetent. I was trying to help out new friends of mine that never been here and that type of attitude will not be tolerated. I wish I took a picture of his face to blast him publicly on here but you're welcome that I didn't do so. The meat was flavorless and they definitely skimp on toppings. This place changed for the worse. As for COVID precautions here, there were NONE. No social distancing markers on the ground, sauces are left out publicly with people touching it and no hand sanitizing station. After such a horrible experience, we literally went across the street to Los CalifornIa Tacos for comparison and boy, what a huge difference. Good luck because Los California Tacos is your neighbor with much better customer service and compliance to COVID protocols. Makes sense why there was a line at 1986 and empty AF at Arturo's. So folks, go next door. Hard pass on this place. Never stepping foot here again.

Yelp
We love this spot and have frequented here many times! It's not the fanciest taco truck, but it's consistent, the staff are always friendly, and the price is right -- 5 stars! To note: it's cash only. Any type of meat you get is tender & juicy and unlimited sauce, onions, cilantro, and more?! So convenient. It's self serve, so if you're not about that, then take caution. Tacos are around the 2-3 bite size, just how I like it (so I can try a bunch of different meats). If you ask for grilled onions/peppers, they deliver too! There's always people grubbing around by their cars here (guilty as charged). Cheap eats, late night, Arturo is the spot in Pasadena.
google avatar

Dan V.

Yelp
Pasadena native here! Been going here for 10 years & it's the one stop shop for after hours eating. It's cash only, but well worth it. If you know, you know. If not, you're probably at King Taco, waiting for 45m. We used to walk from Old Town to Arturo's at closing time, and it was never a bad decision. The menu features all of your favorite proteins and drinks. Food is very good, and extremely consistent, making it one of the better, if not best trucks in Pasadena. I don't stumble home at 2am anymore, but I sure as heck still visit Arturo's.

Yelp
Asada fries and mulitas came out quickly. Only then, I learned why it was. The fries were small and soggy. Not much toppings and it was super wet, and it costed $15!!!! The al pastor mulita was $7.5... it was super small and very bland. The wrap wasnt even grilled and cold when we got it. 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
google avatar

Juan M.

Yelp
I was a loyal customer and I went there at almost 1am but the cashier stole from me 5 dollar. I'm sure I gave him correct account but said I was short $5. It cost me $5 to really get to to now these people!

Adrian C.

Yelp
This place used to be better. I went about 20 minutes ago 9:20 pm it's Oct 28, 2024. I ordered a carne asada burrito and 2 tacos. Why do they always give you separate tickets for tacos and burritos idk! On the self serve table they had the usual the sauces and onions, cilantro and lime but I didn't see the radishes I asked the guy taking the order hey do you have radishes? He looked at me like I was an idiot for asking! He looked at the guy next to him and that guy said yeah we do! I just looked at him and said ok! Well where are they? He replied "it'll be a dollar" I gave him the dollar and he handed me a small sandwich bag with THINLY CUT radishes! The meal was hot but the ratio of meat to rice and beans was way WAY OFF! Don't recommend this place

Yelp
MIDNIGHT EATS! I always felt safe here at 2am/3am making a food run for my night shift peps and myself. Occasionally, you see Pasadena Fire and Police eat here. (So try not to be conspicuously intoxicated while late night eating here). This truck stays open till 4am on Fri/Sat, on other days 2am or 3am; Parking is plentyful in the same lot as the taco truck; the food comes out really FAST, even with long lines, and this truck beats DEL TACO tacos any day or (late) night. Only if your in the area, do I recommend this spot. Unfortunately their food (tacos) not as good as I remember. If your a true taco aficionado you won't like it here (aahem..Jay K.). If you just looking for something to eat past midnight - it's fine. The meats are dryer and not as flavorful. Standards like asada and carnitas NOT good. Dry? However the lengua and al pastor (on a trompo) is not bad. Better. Also, I just wish they would at least cook the tortillas a tad LONGER on the grill! COLD/DRY corn tortillas suck! The DIY condiment/salsa station is pretty cool when CLEAN. I hear the taco truck up the street in the Nishikawa Auto Service lot has way way better tacos. Unfortunately their parking situation not as convenient and hours are shorter. If that is not an issue for you, go there instead.
google avatar

Anna V.

Yelp
Came here close to midnight and it was pretty busy and in a big empty lot. They called the numbers only in Spanish the first time they call out the orders so I had no idea mine was ready until I asked what numbers were called and they repeated in English hahaha, guess I need to learn my numbers oops I got chorizo tacos and it was SO good. Not too oily and wasn't dry -- their toppings bar was also organized and clean. Tacos were 2.50 each and soda cans were $2. Decent price!

Yelp
My go-to taco spot whenever I'm having a late night in Pasadena. Located in the parking lot of a tire center, Arturo's has some great tacos along with multitas, sopes, quesadillas and many more. You can't go wrong with tacos. I've had the asada, carnitas, and pastor which were all delicious. Cost per taco as of December 2023 are $2.50. It's also CASH ONLY so keep that in mind when coming. Overall, highly recommend Arturo's if you want a good taco truck.
google avatar

Hamlet O.

Yelp
Looks for a late night taco spot try Arturos taco truck. Al pastor very very good asada ok Al pastor was really good tasty Carne asada tacos was ok a little on the chewy side didn't like as much.
google avatar

Vincent P.

Yelp
Solid taco truck, Arturo's is located in a seldomly travelled area of Pasadena, I've never been to this part of town! This taco truck was recommended by my friend and it met expectations. I ordered the Tripa, Lengua, Al Pastor, and Carne Asada tacos. I'm not a huge fan of Tripa, but my friend insisted that this was one of their best tacos, so I decided to try it. He was right, it was so good and much better than the Tripa that I've tried at other taco places! I also enjoyed the other tacos as well, especially the Lengua and Al Pastor. We also got a cup of Horchata which was a great refreshment after eating all the tacos. Another highlight is their condiments bar, they have radish, onions, cilantro, limes, beans, jalapeños, and a bunch of sauces to choose from. The sauces were all great, but my favorite would have to be the green sauce. It's an open bar, so you can get as much as you want, no stinginess here! I would definitely recommend the Tripa and Lengua tacos if you've never tried them, Arturo's makes them really good! The workers were fast and friendly, we got our tacos quickly despite it being quite packed with people.
google avatar

Frank M.

Yelp
Always good! We are regular customers. Easy parking and fast service! Me and my family highly recommend this truck.
google avatar

Yelp
We absolutely love it here. They are very generous with their meat. The food is always fresh and the salsa is to die for. Thank you, Alberto.

Yelp
This was the worst place I have ever eaten in my life my wife ordered a bean cheese most simple thing I ordered 3 pastor tacos and and a quesadilla they gave my wife here food last she took a bite and it was like a half pound of cheese and it wasn't even melted so I asked for them to make It hot and they said they don't do That so I made him put it on the grill because it was cold and un edible my tacos tasted like it was sitting in a hot container for at least 5 to 6 hours driest food I ever ate in my life the customer service was trash and the meat was old they shouldn't even be allowed to serv people I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy don't eat here it's not safe and it's not worthy to call them selves a taco truck should be called fartuto's don't go here!!!!!!!!!! You will thank me later
google avatar

Olivia D.

Yelp
Please do not go here! My boyfriend got food poisoning from eating chicken tacos we ordered from here. We hadn't eat anything that evening except from that so we know it was probably from the tacos.
google avatar

Vanessa D.

Yelp
CASH ONLY!!!! Food truck since we were determined to get food from here, we walked down a few blocks to the ATM to get cash. I am usually an al pastor (marinated pork) fan, so I got 2 al pastor tacos and one carne asada (beef). Surprisingly, the carne asada was better. I thought I was starving before I got my food but somehow 3 tacos were enough. Super spiffy tacos, melts in your mouth with every bite. They have a condiment bar with cilantro, onions, sauces, etc. They even had refried beans on the side with peppers. I had the Horchata to drink. Delicious. Definitely a great, though empty/quiet, spot to go to at 1am. Definitely recommend.
google avatar

Christine C.

Yelp
Ohhhh I do love Arturo's! It was better pre-pandemic, but it is still super fresh and yummy!

Liz's Papi C.

Yelp
I swear they new get this right, I always ask for avocado cheese and cream on my burrito and they never add it but happily take the extra money... every-time only continue here for the nostalgia of coming here when It Was Good as a kid. Disappointing. No mamen

Yelp
So I've been trying to find the best Mexican food in Pasadena - it has to exist, but I have yet to find it.. This is close but it's a no. I probably won't be back tbh, unless it's late at night and I'm starving and driving by. I went two different times and in those times I tried: 2 carnitas tacos 1 Al pastor Cali burrito 1 Al pastor normal burrito The carnitas tacos were very whatever I would never order that again. The Cali burrito was terribly wrapped, the top was only avocado and lettuce, and the bottom was only beans , which leads me to my other point - they have really good beans, which is why I went the next day to try a normal burrito. However.. the normal burrito sad to say is .. whatever, like very whatever. - dry rice, meat no flavor like super whatever. I'm an Al Pastor guy and I've seen pictures on here where they have the guy outside with the trompo - I would like to know what day that guys there because that might be good. A lot of people in the reviews are writing about the Tripas which is probably good but, I literally never order that and I feel like if you're fucking up Pastor and Carnitas why am I going to bend to get Tripas? My guess is the Asada tacos and the Tripas tacos are what's best here, and maybe a bean and rice burrito because the beans are so good - not so much the rice though.. But Carne Asada is boring kind of like Mario. It's the standard, and so hard to fuck up and half the time it just tastes like any normal ground beef.. If you can't leave Pasadena to try literally anything better I guess you could go here But it's not that good. Also people writing reviews of the service being bad, I did not see that at all, very polite people just taking orders and another window with a guy calling numbers - no biggie.. Also people complaining about the COVID unsanitary, calm down - it's outside, it's a food truck, if you're so worried about getting COVID order off Instacart and stay inside, don't go where a bunch of people are going to be and complain there's no hand sanitizer lol

Yelp
We drove from San Bernardino to Pasadena just for these tacos .. soo good definitely worth the trip salsa is amazing, super fast service and everyone is so nice great customer service.

Yelp
I wish I could give them 0. It was the worst tacos I have ever had. Only chipped chicken and tortillas with bas smell.

Yelp
YASSSS, best neighborhood discovery! Super cheap and delicous taco truck This truck in the good year parking lot is SO popular. They had nonstop customers on a Wednesday night! Make sure you try the spicy red salsa ---burrito: so much food!! ---cabeza, lengua, and carne asada tacos: all really tasty moist meats! I've also passed by on a weekend late night and they are packed!
