The Best Restaurants in Tijuana, Mexico | Eater San Diego

"The sun shines bright through steel frame windows in a white room with an emerald green-tiled bar lined with vivid cocktails crafted by Kevin Tocino (Bacon). At Tijuana’s lone contender in North America’s 50 Best Bars for 2025, day drinking is an obsession. Stop in at mid-afternoon for well balanced negronis, margaritas and other classics. Channel Eddy Grant through a refreshing mix of Matusalem rum, pineapple and lemon juice, oiled sugar, and Don’s mix called Electric Avenue. A must is the espresso float, Tocino’s riff on the carajillo that consists of cold brew, cacao liqueur, and a scoop of Jersey vanilla ice cream." - Bill Esparza

Best Cocktail Bars to Check Out in Tijuana, Mexico | Eater San Diego

"This dog-friendly bar prides itself on welcoming any and all canine companions. A new summer menu can be expected after the bar’s one year anniversary in July, but in the meantime, guests can grub on chicken wings and sip on unique drinks like an espresso float made with cacao liquor and vanilla ice cream." - Roxana Becerril

Been here twice now and it has remained consistent. Drinks are delicious, however sadly last time the bartender was more English proficient and we were able to get a few more off menu items but the menu available is still fantastic. Big shout out to the onion rings which shouldn’t be as nearly good as they are! I will pray for gatito; I believe he will Make a full recovery!

Awesome service and great music/vibes. Crowd seemed like upscale people, good energy. Bartenders seem to be very knowledgeable and quick. GREAT drinks.

Great vibe in la cacho. Super friendly staff. It's kind of a hidden gem - everything else in the area has lots of foot traffic in front.

The inside is pretty simple , nothing crazy. The drinks were fantastic and tasted like they were made with high quality ingredients. I had the espresso float and the melon grab. Server was nice and attentive.

No wonder this place is listed on the top 50 bars in North America! The craft cocktails are fantastic, the atmosphere is chill but you do feel as if you're no longer in TJ. And that selfie mirror = perfection. Definitely will be back. Soon. Bringing all my friends!

Came while in TJ. Inside is decorated well and looks beautiful. We had an espresso martini & another cocktail (can’t remember the name). Was pretty disappointed with our drinks as we came because we heard such good reviews about them including them being listed as a top cocktail bar. The espresso martini didn’t have that spirit forward flavor that it is supposed to and the handheld machine used for the fresh cream wasn’t working, so the cream was sprayed everywhere and didn’t have the consistency it should have. Will give it another try and order a different cocktail since reviews are consistently great

My friends and I happened upon this bar on Sunday because were trying to do exactly what the name says, Day Drink! The inside of the bar has an Art Deco kinda vibe with burnt oranges and emerald greens. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We ordered the a couple of cocktails from their specialty menu, but I can not remember the names. I tried to do a deep dive of their menu, but the only thing I can say is that one was purple and the other was yellow with a banana leaf garnish (if that helps you)! I noticed that they have a food menu, so will definitely be back to try that!

Aruba Day Drinking Bar is a great little spot for drinks off the beaten path in Tijuana. They have a cool, contemporary cocktail list that, while being slightly more expensive than divier spots in the city, is worth every penny. They use quality ingredients and have a somewhat generous pour. The atmosphere is chill and laidback — bartenders aren’t coaxing you into drink after drink, and the bar is well lit and feels fairly open. Even if you’re on a budget, you can get beer for as cheap as $2 USD. A great spot to chill at between breakfast and dinner, or to pregame before hitting Avenida Revolucion.
