2025 Update: Menu has changed, huge fan of the rice and shrimp. And as before, I truly enjoy the Carabinero. We had to order one for each of us. Excited to perhaps dine here during summer months!
2024: We came here on a Sunday, for my husband's pre-birthday celebration dinner. While it was unfortunately raining, the overall ambience of the place was warm and inviting. Chef Chele and Chef Rodrigo were also present and very much busy.
In terms of ambient temperatures though, I personally found it too cold after a while, and had to get hot tea. The ladies comfort rooms were also like a pleasant fever dream with the sheep designs and atmospheric music. (Or did I imagine all that?)
In terms of the food, the Lamb, Prawn, Jamon de Wagyu, and Flan was my outright favorites. My only real complaint would be that there were times the food was served while I was still eating. They do ask if they could remove the previous plates, but it also wouldn't hurt to wait a minute or two.
I even got a to-go portion of the Jamon.
I do wish Asador Alfonso was just a touch nearer.
We are making plans to visit within the year, and are hoping to taste the Lechazo. Thank you Wilma, as well as Mike for making my husband's pre-birthday dinner great!
