This restaurant has been my go to dine in and take out Chinese food since moving into garden grove neighborhood, 2017. Prices have maintained over the years and the value is amazing. Today I had the sweet and sour chicken lunch and crab puffs. Also recommend garlic chili oil chicken, steamed dumplings, chicken chow mein, and any of the coffee or teas. Kitchen is fast and efficient. Also the ladies that work here have a great memory for customers and treat everyone so well. For such a modest place the service is far beyond what’s expected. At the end of service the staff happily packs up your leftovers. Great job!!! Thank you for feeding me & my family all these years.

So I went there earlier this week—the food [ I ordered 3 items ] was mediocre: ( 1.) chicken teriyaki, there was nothing but chicken, sauce, and rice—no vegetables—I didn’t care for the fact that I had to chew out various bones out of the pieces of chicken. The rice was very clumpy-like [ the waitress did inform me prior to that it only contained chicken, sauce & rice ]. ( 2.) vegetable spring rolls: they were kind of mushy inside. ( 3.) hot & sour soup, this was the worst. There was no spice, it was otherwise rather bland, with huge chunks of zucchini, which were so large that I had to slice in half. I will give it three stars due to good service as well as it being very clean, I observed. Who knows maybe next time it will be a better experience.

Just wow! Big portions, excellent friendly service and entrees that will just make you fall in love with place... You couldn't ask for a better experience and a menu with so many selections. Also, they have pork egg rolls!

Google
Cool to find an old school looking Chinese restaurant. I went on a Friday night, and it was super busy. However, the wait staff let us know they're a little behind and that they're very sorry. They have a lot of different dishes and family combo ( family style, good prices). I tried their pork egg roll and Satuay beef chow fun with sauce? There is a picture of it in their menu. It was delish. I would like to go back and try different dishes.

Google
Is it a beautiful, fancy looking restaurant? Naw. But boy is this food good and AUTHENTIC. I lived in Hong Kong for a while and am a snob when it comes to my Chinese food… and this was SO good. The staff was so friendly and even taught my family some Cantonese. We got the family special with five dishes and it was so much food. I’m not local but if I ever come back, I’ll be back.

Google
Asian Cafe Express is conveniently located in the same plaza as H Mart. The food here is phenomenal! The staff were really friendly. The prices were surprisingly affordable. The menu is very large and can be overwhelming, so plan accordingly. I had the Chinese broccoli beef and it was really good. They also have an American version with different cuts of broccoli. Egg drop soup was pretty good. Overall, I recommend this restaurant and will be returning the future. 5/5 stars!

Asian Cafe Express (ACE) 1911 W Main St #3, Mesa, AZ 85201 Today, I had an absolutely delightful and scrumptious lunch at ACE. To my sheer delight, the lovely waitress approached me and informed me that today was "James special day," and that my meal was on the house as a gesture of kindness. I was taken aback by her generosity and couldn't help but feel deeply grateful. Despite having dined at ACE countless times before, this unexpected act of kindness truly made this visit stand out for me. I expressed my gratitude by offering her a $20 tip, but she kindly insisted on just accepting $5, emphasizing that it was more than enough. Feeling touched by her gesture, I decided to extend the positivity by visiting Hmart next door and treating ACE to some delectable Korean/French pastries. Although the pastries ended up costing more than my FREE meal, I couldn't help but feel thankful and overjoyed for the unexpected kindness shown to me at ACE. ACE truly excels in providing not only affordable and delicious meals but also in creating memorable and heartwarming experiences for its patrons. Today's lunch will forever hold a special place in my heart, reminding me of the kindness and generosity that exists in the world.

Yelp
Ambiance? Welcome to Kowloon! Service? A friendly, quick "Yes" to every request. First-rate! Food? Where do I begin? I could describe it all, dish by dish, but not without being compared to Dostoevsky... This was a return visit for "Cheap Eats" Meetup, but this time without individual orders. Instead, we had reservations on a Sunday evening for 3 tables of 7 diners each, planning to order & share complementary entrees family-style from the Hong Kong menu. ACE was ready for us, and the food was delivered as ordered, in courses, interspersed with two soups, plus rice, & two varieties of tea. As others have testified, the selection of dishes seems endless in possible ingredients & preparation choices. Every item that we were served was unique in flavor & so plentiful, arriving like steaming, colorful artwork! As planned, the accommodating, cheerful staff split the bill equally among the diners, which made it carefree for us hosts. We were shocked by the extreme value for such a comprehensive feast! Of course, this event was an unprecedented success, so we're already planning to revisit. While the next dinner will be entirely different from a culinary standpoint, the service will remain impeccable!

Yelp
SENTRY - WATCHING RESTAURANTS Asian Cafe Express 1911 W. Main Street Mesa, 85201 In my quest to find restaurants that I have not tried before, this was on my list (currently 110) of places to try. Companion and I arrived at 6:00 and were seated immediately. This is a relatively small restaurant that is very unpretentious. They have 3 menus including one for typical American Chinese style food, one for Hong Kong style food, and one for family dining. We chose a little from the American Chinese style and some from the Hong Kong style menu. Our first item was Pork Egg Rolls. (2 for $3.29). They were quite good and came with a sweet sauce to dunk in. I asked for hot mustard and was given 3 commercial packets to use. Companion ordered sweet and sour pork. ($10.99). This was the small portion, which was mounded up on the plate. A large portion is also available but this was more than enough food. We also ordered a plate of combo fried rice ($11.99) which again was a large portion and was very tasty. For myself, I ordered pork in minced garlic sauce ($11.99). In Chinese we say it was Mala, which means spicy, and that was not an understatement. It took a bit to get used to the heat, but by the end of the meal I was used to it. I must confess that I ordered a cup of Hong Kong style sweet milk tea ($4.99) which cuts the heat very quickly. They proudly display an "A" rating from the health department which is a bit unusual to see in many small restaurants. 4 stars for cleanliness, good service, and well priced food that tastes good.

Yelp
The food was mediocre--and could have been better: I ordered chicken teriyaki, hot & sour soup, and two vegetable spring rolls. 1. The chicken teriyaki although tasted good, had bones which I didn't enjoy having to bite and then pick through. Also, that's all it was was chicken & rice [ the waitress in all fairness did say that that was what it all consisted of ]. 2. The spring rolls were so-so, although they had a mushy taste. 3. Hot & sour soup--this really wasn't good--and was the worst! It had no spice [ not even mildly ], it ran very thin, it was somewhat bland, and had large chunks of zucchini that I had to cut into halves. On a more positive note: it was very clean and the service was prompt and thorough.

Yelp
I came here for lunch while back, didn't do a review since they have so much on the menu and wanted order more dish. Came here for late dinner few nights ago. I was greated by friendly staff and got overwhelmed with menu so many dishes, it was like Chinese version of The cheese cake factory. Ordered chili sauce chicken dumpling as appetizer, ordered Chinese broccoli/chicken and Hmoy stir fried noodle dish. Chilli sauce was very flavor, not spicy but yummy with dumpling.. Chinese broccoli and chicken had simple sauce but very flavorful and you can taste the wok flavoring. Never had Hmoy dish but man I couldn't stop eating.. Shredded pork and pretty large size shrimp on the dish. Flavor was also yummy. For the price of the dish and amount you get was on point. Also I would have to say best service I have ever gotten at a Chinese restaurant. Servers walked by and made sure our water glasses were always full, asked if we wanted more rice middle of our eating.. Not to mention asked if we wanted more rice to go as she packed up our left overs. I would definitely come back here again and try other dishes, and customer service and price was very good.

Yelp
So good always!! Got the house lo mein and the beef chow fun dry. Both were flavorful and so yummy. Hit the spot.

Yelp
Very average food. Will not come again. Service was quick and nice to explain things off menu. Place looks like hole in wall.

Yelp
The portions are huge, definitely gives off a warm, mom-and-pop, home-cooked vibe. It reminded me of something my mom would make at home. The staff were all incredibly friendly, and the restaurant was clean and spacious. The food came out quickly and everything was absolutely delicious.

Yelp
It's been awhile since i have been here due to my diet; however I have been craving fried rice. So I returned to a place that never disappoints. The place has not changed much from a decor perspective. The waitresses are all still the same friendly folks that are professionals. Everything is prepared and seasoned well, as well as good size portions.

Yelp
It's been a while since I last dined here. Honestly, it really is the best cha chaan teng (tea restaurant) in the valley (and of course without driving to LA). This was my first time trying their fish fillet congee, and I was so surprised with how much fish it came with! It's well seasoned too! The beef chow fun was delicious as always. My mom mentioned the red beans in her drink was perfectly cooked this time (she had a bad experience last time). My yuen yeung (50/50 coffee tea) was a bit too sweet in my opinion, but again, I've lowered my standard knowing that this drink doesn't get offered in other places close to me. I arrived at 12:15pm and it was getting busy but not packed. The food took only 15 minutes to arrive, which was really reasonable for lunch time. The server was very polite and attentive, and even pack my leftovers for me, which was very extra in a Chinese restaurant.

Yelp
I had a craving for some Singapore noodles today and stopped by to pick some up. I hadn't tried the noodles from here before and I'm glad I did. Their version has more of a curry flavor and it was very filling. I also loved that it had chicken and some shrimp included. I will definitely be back and I love how fast it was done too.

Yelp
Nice hidden gem that is close to my home. I am looking forward to coming here more often. I stopped in at Asian Cafe Express with a group of Yelp friends to celebrate Lunar New Year. The menu here is enormous. There are so many dishes to choose from. I was happy that they have pictures on the wall of their dishes because I was indecisive about what to order. What I enjoy about this place is the bargain prices and the big portions. Not to mention the food is pretty good! Asian Cafe Express serves up Chinese comfort food along with favorites from Southeast Asia and Hong Kong. They have been a staple here in the Valley for some time and are located by H Mart in Mesa. I ordered the Beef Stew Chow Mein and a noodle soup for my entree. But we ended up doing a lot of sharing so we could each try something different. Overall, Asian Cafe Express ended up being a great recommendation and a nice time with friends. Great service too!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I grabbed 2 lobsters from H Mart and brought them over here for the BYOS deal. We got them both stir fried, one with ginger onion scallions with chow mein underneath and the second in the xo sauce. Both were AMAZING, but if I had to choose I would choose the xo sauce. The menu said it was spicy, but personally I didn't find it spicy at all. I would only be worried about the spice if you have a very very low spice tolerance. Definitely a good deal! I can't wait to come back and try some of their other dishes! The service was amazing despite the restaurant being very busy and only having 2 servers. The inside was clean as well.

Yelp
Great food! Full authenticity!! Feeling homesicked a little and I searched online, finally found this place in Asian district that carries the egg noodles and wontons which tasted just like home!! Cantonese people are going to love this place. The lady who served me spoke fluent Cantonese and she was very kind to me. Beef Briskets are awesome with the right amount of fat but lots of meat proteins. Soup is done the right way. Wontons are yummy with each containing a whole piece of shrimp. Very welcome-y interior and chill environment. Booths are very comfy as well. Definitely would love to come back again for the same food!!

Yelp
Food - I have a salty palate so love the flavors at this authentic restaurant. Plenty of flavors. Able to customized spice levels on some dishes. Bring your own seafood and they will cook for you with choices of sauces and cooking styles (see menu). For 4 lobsters that weighed 5 pounds we paid about $30 for cooking with 2 different sauces (ginger scallion & black beans). The lobsters we got at nearby H-mart for $9.99/lb. Service - appreciate the tentative service. Server provided us with water and took out promptly. Aluminum bowls for lobster shells. Food came out relatively quick. Ambience - don't expect romantic ambience here. typical Chinese restaurant. 5 stars for food and service.

Yelp
Wow, another fantastic experience!! This has become my favorite Chinese restaurant! Their salt and pepper shrimp is perfectly savory & crispy! But what's incredible is, they will make it gluten free at your request! That goes for the fried rice too! The hardest part is picking the fried rice dish you want, as they have waaaay too many tasty fried rice dishes to choose from! For this visit, we opted for the seafood fried rice, and we were giddy like two little chickadees in a basket of mealworms! Service was fantastic! Our original server wasn't familiar with gluten free, but another server came by to help out, and we were able to explain our exact gluten free needs, and our dishes were exquisite! We are hooked for life!!

Yelp
Best Chinese around. Price is very very good too. The Mongolian chicken is tasty Chinese treat. It's next to a bunch of other cool crap too like boba next door and book off. This place rules

Yelp
Following my last visit, my one star review, I visited again Feb 8th. Spurred by an open invite for Yelpers to the monthly supper club I'm happy to report that I put Asian Cafe back in my collection of places to dine in Mesa. Their creamy chicken corn soup was perfect I thought! The egg, chicken and flavor was balanced just right for me! $At 4.99 for a medium which serves 2-4 people is delicious and a great value. Steamed chicken is what I ordered for my entree. The chicken was not up to par and was dry. It looked like it was cooked the day prior but the ginger scallion paste (sauce) that accompanies it saved this dish! I order steamed chicken/condiment at other restaurants and have it with other meats or just on my rice! I love it so much, that I plan on making this simple sidekick at home. Ginger, scallion, oil and salt. That's it! The servers had a grip on the phone orders, take out pick ups and had to serve all the tables of patrons with kindness. Kudos to all the hard working ladies that night! Chow fun and one of their speciality combos are on my radar to try next!

Yelp
For February the International Supper Club UYE picked Asian Café Express as the place for us to try! We had a big turnout for this one and the place was able to accommodate us with no issues. Asian Café Express has three styles of menu, AZ style menu, Hong Kong style and the set dinner specials menu. The Hong Kong style menu is what I went with, which is authentic Chinese dishes. After checking out the menu, I went with the Hong Kong style menu and ordered the Kung Poa Beef. It was stirred fried beef with carrots, onions, green peppers in a Szechwan sauce and topped with peanuts. It was served with rice. This dish was so good! It made great leftovers too! Service was great and even for being a big group, the dishes everyone ordered came out quickly. I am glad to have tried Asian Café Express and am in the area often so I know I will be back!
google avatar

Lourdes V.

Yelp
I got a chance to visit this restaurant as part of an UYE right before Chinese New Year 2024!! This place is located in the H-Mart shopping center, it has been around long before H-Mart moved in. We ordered from the Hong Kong part of the menu and we were impressed with every dish that came out. The menu is extensive, and so many good options. I went with a Green Onion, Shrimp & Tofu soup, the medium serves 2-4 people (cup size portions), the fresh green onion on top definitely elevates the flavors. This was delicious, hot, flavorful, plenty of shrimp. For my entree I went with the eggplant & ground pork in garlic sauce, served over rice, the spice level was perfect. Good flavors, big portions. Everything our table ordered looked and smelled delicious. We had great service, restaurant is spacious and has several large round tables for big groups. Parking is shared with a number of businesses and may be tight on a busy Friday night or weekend. I will definitely be back and would recommend this place.
google avatar

Betty L.

Yelp
The food here is typically good. They fry the food, so it might taste a little oily. It may be wok fried. They have white rice and brown rice. I usually get their Hong Kong style noodles or the eggplant dish. The noodles come out crispy. The menu choices might be a little intimidating. Great service. Quick and easy meal.
google avatar

Melody K.

Yelp
I came here for lunch the first time with my friend after shopping at H Mart. The restaurant reminded me of my good old days living in NYC and going to Chinatown for meals. The menu is very extensive. The service was very good, attentive and friendly. We ordered the Hot and Sour Soup, Pork Egg Rolls and Beef Chow Fun Dry along with a Hot Oolong Tea. The Hot and Sour soup was good, though could of used more hot (spice) and more sour to it. The Pork Egg Rolls were OK. The Chow Fun was excellent, filled with beef and had the smoky wok fry taste to it that you can only get with a hot hot fire under your wok. I will definitely be back but next time to try more of the dishes I grew up with. Atmosphere: typical Chinese mom and hole in the wall. Service: excellent. Food: good.

Yelp
The food and service was great. They really do care if you had a good experience. From start to finish all servers on deck to help you at all times.

Yelp
Been here a few times in the past feqw weeks. I meet a couple friends here on Thursdays. First thing I had was the Orange Chicken. It is pretty good. I tried the steamed brown rice with it. Most places it seems like the brown rice is a bit dry, but here it is soft, fluffy, and moist. Next two trips I had the scliced Hawaiian chicken bowl. For some reason it's not sliced, but that really doesn't matter. Just a curiosity.... The chicken is cooked nicely. It's flavorful, and moist. The first time I upgraded to egg fried rice. Be aware that when you upgrade your rice it goes from a generous-sized bowl to a heaping plate. This last trip I stuck with the white rice, aand it was still more than I could eat. Very generous portions. The steamed dumplings are delicious. The first trip I wanted some egg drop soup. I asked for a smnall bowl, but they brought out a VERY large bowl with a ladle, and several small bowls to dish it out to everyone. None of my fellow diners wanted any. So, I ate about three small bowls worth, and got stuffed. I used to live near here and I would come in and get appetizers to take home. That was about twenty year ago. It was good then, and it's even better now that I finally started sampling the entrees. The friendly service also makes this a great place for a meal. Don't pass it up.
google avatar

Robert H.

Yelp
It has been around longer than most of the place that now surround it. The menu is very American centric but there are some very Hong Kong style dishes too. We have been wanting to try this place but it is always closed on Tuesdays when we tend to meet. But this time we went on a Thursday and so we tried it. Inside is a very standard cafe styling. Nothing to really wow you if you are big on atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly so that was a plus. The main critique though was that the food while good was kind of bland to my liking. And the prices maybe a little lower than some other places but also the portions were not as much. I left feeling hungry after eating my meals but sharing two appetizers.
google avatar

Linda P.

Yelp
I do not understand any of these five star reviews. We ordered basic chicken chow mein, sweet and sour chicken, crispy egg rolls and oolong tea. The only flavor we found in any of their offerings were of dirty socks or soy sauce. The chicken was covered in tendons and absolutely inedible. The white rice was obviously some kind of pre-packaged parboiled type akin to Uncle Ben's only less tasty. We didn't make a fuss, we picked out veggies and what scraps of meat that were chewable and when we politely declined to the take home packaging our waitress harrumphed very loudly. Would that have been the perfect opportunity to ask if we were happy with our meal? Apparently not. Far better to express your dissatisfaction with us. I will never give them a second chance.

Nick S.

Yelp
If you have missed this place, put it on your must go to food. Seven of us again visited the restetant and the food is fabulous. Quality and quantity are the best. We each had something different snd all were great. The staff is very friendly and helpful and guide you through the menu. Every item is delicious and you have to try them all. Go there.
google avatar

Nikki M.

Yelp
I've been going here since college days which has been about 15 years and I can't believe I never left a review. This place is amazing! Great tasting food and affordable prices. They are pretty generous with the portions so you can get a lot for your money. The service here is fantastic. They remember you and they're always so kind and cheerful. Their menu is extensive so it's hard to choose but they also provide pictures which make it a little easier. They have family meal options with great prices. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
Best Chinese place in Arizona. Huge portions and prices are cheaper than most. Nothing like this place, very authentic. Favorite Chinese place.

Yelp
Excellent place for good Cantonese food! Enjoyed their chili chicken wings, and beef stew wonton noodle soup, and brought home their beef chow fun and HK style beef chow mein. All dishes were great! Will be back again.

Yelp
I sound like a broken record. The staff here feel like old friends. You are acknowledged, remembered and treated very well. Even when they are very busy they always make time to say hello and ask how you are doing. The kind treatment reminds me to return for more food. I I ordered chicken with double mushrooms to go. I got an order of veggie egg rolls while I was waiting. The order was ready when I went to pay. They double bag the food with gravy to prevent spillage. Shared parking lot and shared WiFi from another vendor.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is a little tucked away in the plaza so we will just call it the hidden gem. The place has a smaller dining area and is definitely older decor but if you come for the food and not a vibe this place checks out. The food is pretty good, simple but good. The menu on the other hand is not simple, it's extensive so just mentally prepare yourself for being totally unsure of what to order because there are so many option. All in all, decent food.

Yelp
One of the best authentic Chinese restaurants in the area. From price value to flavor I'm brought back to the authentic cuisines i tried growing up in flushing, Queens. Also if you are looking for somewhere that will cook your seafood, this is the spot!!!! Customer service is great and they are sweet/responsive. Ambiance reminds me of an authentic Chinese restaurant that serves the people of the community Has become my go to for take out Chinese food or sit down lunch. Also it is right next to HMart so get your treat shopping in

Yelp
A great gem for delicious Chinese cuisine here in Mesa. Located right next to H-Mart is Hong Kong cuisine. It was my first time here and I was baffled. Quick service, friendly staff, and delicious food! There's nothing more that you could ask for in a restaurant. The menu is quite extensive. There are so many options to choose from it's a little overwhelming, but you are bound to find something to enjoy. My party and I ordered crispy tofu, chow mein, fried calamari, and beef chow fun. The portions are very generous. Like..... VERY! By the end of the meal, the four of us were stuffed! All of the dishes were cooked beautifully and lots of great flavor. Not a single bad bite and greatly showcased what Hong Kong cuisine should be. The staff here were very attentive to make sure everything was correct and if we needed anything else. They made sure our cups were refilled and had great personality. I forgot to take any photos, but trust me when I say there is a reason why this spot has so many positive reviews.

Yelp
Oh what an experience. I love this place with all of my heart. The orange chicken is so good! The rice is always such a treat to eat! Definitely try the egg drop soup, and the vegetable chicken. And if you're feeling fancy, try their boba. It's perfect for the family meal if you're feeding 5-6 people. The service is always great. Thank you to the amazing staff for remembering your favorite customers! Lol.

Jay A.

Yelp
I don't claim to be a good critic of hot and sour soup, but this one hit just right. Loved it.
google avatar

Kristen L.

Yelp
The fish fillet over rice is still just as good as I remember. It is fried so the outside is still a little crispy if you get to it fast. If you do take out the fish batter exterior might be soft instead. The prices have increased significantly. The bitter melon beef had a black bean sauce. I had both entrees over rice. They give take out food in styrofoam boxes. It might be better to have more environmentally friendly take out boxes. Spacious parking lot. If you eat in, that take your order at the table. It can be noisy inside sometimes during peak hours.

Yelp
Honestly been here 5 times and read some of these wack 1 star reviews and don't know what they're talking about . This place reminds me of old school Chinese restaurants in Cali and the food is perfect imo and the spice levels are perfect. The service is fast and honestly they're not rude they're trying to get the job done and it does. The vibe is very chill and quiet when we go around when they open. Even if the drive is a long time it's definitely a must try tbh. Love their salt n pepper shrimp and calamari and you gotta try their sweet and sour spare ribs too!

Yelp
This review is for takeout! We ordered at the restaurant and got two clay pots: mushroom/fish/tofu for one and eggplant pork for the other. We also got a baked porkchop fried rice and beef wonton noodle. Service was super friendly and lighthearted by two Cantonese aunties. They warned us that the baked rice would take 30 minutes, which was fine since we were gonna shop at H Mart anyway. Upon our return from H Mart the rice still wasn't done and in total it was about 45m instead. I decided to order an HK milk tea while waiting and there was some miscommunication among the aunties and one accidentally double charged me for the take out meal when adding on the milk tea. Got that sorted out quickly and got me a refund though. The milk tea tasted authentic but too sweet which we diluted a bit at home with milk - yay more to drink! Wonton soup was disappointing. Beef was too salty and wonton wrapper wasn't soft and silky. The wonton soup at Best HK Dining down the street is better. Clay pots were good but I think they would have been better fresh and in the clay pots rather than our takeout boxes! Husband enjoyed the porkchop rice and portion was HUGE. 2-3 meals in one, great value!! Not sure if we'll return but they do have a giant menu. Worth trying to see what you think!

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem next to Hmart! They have one of the best prices the biggest servings of food! And it's very tasty. My favorite is the dry and wet beef chow fun and the calamari. This restaurant also has the most friendly Asian people working there! Highly recommend if you are looking for a great meal at an affordable price.

Yelp
Affordable Chinese/Taiwanese dishes with large portions. I think they have the best value in town. My tip is to ask them to make all dishes less salty. We came on a friday evening and all tables were filled up. The wait time was very long because it took them 35 minutes after ordering to bring the dishes out. All the fried dishes were excellent with lots of green onions. We literally saw an old man standing at the kitchen whose only job was chopping green onions for a couple of hours LOL. The only bad dish was the steamed chicken as we could tell the bad taste of frozen meats.

Yelp
My friend brought me here after he said he was craving Chinese/Hong Kong style food and I said I wanted fried chow mein. This was my first time trying the fried chow mein with fried fish in it and I would say that it was very good. We also got salt and pepper wings which I was really impressed by and would definitely order again if I came back. Lastly, we ordered a soup but I thought it was just okay (my friend wanted it not me - he said it was pretty good). The service was really good but I also think it is because my friend eats here a lot.

Yelp
This spot has quickly become my go-to for delicious, no-frills Chinese food. It may not be fancy, but the food is fantastic, and the prices are even better! One of the coolest things about this place is that you can buy live lobsters from the H Mart next door and bring them over to ACE, where they'll cook them for just $6.50/lb. We like to get a few lobsters and have them prepared two ways: ginger and green onion sauce, and black bean sauce--both are incredible! Don't miss out on the salt and pepper calamari--crispy on the outside and perfectly tender inside. If you have enough room, try the braised beef stew over crispy chow mein noodles. The set meal is also a steal. You can choose a soup or veggie dish (the minced beef and egg white soup is my favorite) and three more entrees for $45.99. It's perfect for family-style dining, so you can sample a variety of dishes. The lack of ambience is forgiven because it's all about the food and the prices here.

Yelp
Great place for take out - ready in 10-15 minutes. Good portions for the price! We got fried rice, kung pao beef and dumplings. We will be back!

Yelp
So I really thought I have already reviewed this place but maybe not. I have been to Arizona a few times and every time i go, I stop here. Sometimes I even stop more than once a trip. This place is great for authentic Chinese food and has plenty of vegetarian options as well. The staff is friendly, portions are large and the price is good. I'll be back to the area next month and I'll def be stopping in!

Yelp
The food was fresh and very hot coming straight off the wok! Our server was very attentive and ran a whole floor of customers in an intimate but busy restaurant. We love their Hồng Kông style short ribs (can do with or without bones), house chow mein, house fried rice, and salt and pepper calamari! We left with tons of left overs and warm, full bellies. We live across town, but would drive the 35 min for the food!

Yelp
I used to come to this place when I lived in Scottsdale years ago. Yes, Scottsdale, I made the drive because it's just that good. We'll, I'm back in town for work and had to go back and see if it's as good as I remember and they did not disappoint! This is the best Chinese I've had anywhere I've lived and really wish I had something like it nearby my new home. Order anything on the menu and you won't be disappointed but my go to is veggie low mein and general chicken. The crab wonton is delicious as well. Seriously, do yourself a favor and come here.

Yelp
This is probably as close to a Hong Kong style mom and pop cafe as you can get in Arizona. The staff treats you like family and remembers you the moment you walk in. The food is delicious and the ingredients are fresh. You can even bring your own seafood from the market and they'll prepare it for you (which is very Hong Kong, by the way). It is very no frills, but the food and the staff make up for it. Some of the dishes that we like: beef stir fry with choy sum shrimp with scrambled salt and pepper shrimp (shell on) wonton & beef brisket noodle soup

Yelp
Probably one of the few remaining diners that kept their price as usual, and especially the food portions. It's old school NY style of taste, don't know if that makes sense but if you ever had it, you know. Not super overwhelming amount of flavor which is good if you are a native and not having to worry about a strong bias toward eastern cuisine, which means this food is good for everyone without any special modifications. The best part is even in 2024, their portions are huge compared to every other places here, if you want to spend the same money but get food take outs that will last you for a few days, this is the place to go.
