We go to this place on special occasions. Today being Father's day, was a perfect day. The food is always so good. The best thing we had was the sweet and sour seafood soup. The restaurant is always clean and they make sure everyone gets a fortune cookie for dessert. LOVE this place💜

Just tried them for dinner buffet. Everything was hot and fresh. Lots of veggie options which I really liked. Some sushi, dim sum, crab legs, boiled shrimp, different noodle options, fried rice, shrimp curry, shrimp etouffee, crawfish noodles. Tons of fried options like oysters, shrimp, chicken nuggets, calamari, frog legs, catfish, corn nuggets, eggrolls. There’s a lot to try and everything’s hot, fresh, and tasty.

Update: 8/13/25 My sister and I went to eat here on their first day of opening after being converted to a buffet and were the first customers in. The price was roughly 26.00 per adult and I tried virtually everything at the buffet. I don't have the words to express how incredibly disappointed we are. We spent almost every Thanksgiving and Christmas here and either ordered from or ate there two or three times a month, aside. We loved the food and the waitstaff, even the manager, but the food at the buffet is mediocre. Largely, it's the same, generic asian food you'd expect at any other Chinese buffet. Exactly the same desserts you always see, sad, skimpy sushi rolls poorly wrapped, weird American bbq sauce on the ribs, overcooked or weirdly seasoned food, frozen and steamed seafood (some are ok but the snow crab legs are gross), (really stinky bamboo-scented squid salad???) So on and so forth. There are still 3 random dim sum options at the buffet and decent-tasting roast duck, but overall it's just awful. You'll struggle to find 26.00 worth of actual good food from a restaurant that used to have *amazing* food and was often overflowing with customers. This was a terrible decision in direction. It would have been better to limit the original menu options to something more reasonable. We probably will never go back unless it reverts, which breaks our hearts because this was our hands' down favorite restaurant for years where we took our family and all our friends and unless they do something different quickly, they'll probably go the route of every other Chinese buffet in Baton Rouge (inevitable closure). Please go back and just reduce your menu to a more manageable size or offer more of your old popular dishes on the buffet. Even your fried rice which was some of the best fried rice in BR isn't the same on the buffet at all. We love you. The staff is still wonderful. Best staff at any restaurant in BR. --- Always great. We eat there at least twice a month and it's amazing. The quality of food and the service is always stellar. Honestly, we are asian so we love the atmosphere and service because it exceeds our expectations. Including just a few pics from our last few trips. Update: 01/14/23 For others like me with a neurodivergent child who has an extremely sensitive palate and limited texture/flavors consider trying the salt and pepper pork chops. You'll need to be careful to avoid bones but my 11 year old 'picky' eater cleared a whole plate of them (though he doesn't care for the shallots and bell pepper). I also love them.

After they change to “Asian Seafood Buffet - All You Can Eat” for me the taste and variations of the dish much way better and the price is so affordable right now

Always a great experience at Asian Seafood House! We went on a Saturday and honestly I wasn't sure if they served Dim Sum on the weekends, and to my surprise, they do! We ordered the following: -Shrimp & Pork Shumai -Shrimp Rice Rolls -Chrispy Shrimp Rolls -Dragon Ball -Vegetable Spring Rolls -Seafood Hot & Sour Soup Next time I will be ordering the ginger & scallion crab dish!!

Google
Amazing experience. This is what we have always been looking for. The service, cleaniness, portion size, tastes, pricing, and portion size are perfect for my family of 6. Everyone enjoyed our meal. We were delighted to see complimentary roasted peanuts and pickled sliced daikon as appetizers. So good! Lastly, they gave us complimentary fortune cookies and sweet orange slices as deserts! Yummy! This is the only place I feel the suggested tip is worth paying and giving. Most definitely will return and recommended!! 👍❤️👌

Google
Atmosphere was nice, clean, modern compared to what is around town. They are rather accommodating to large groups and able to seat 15 at a time. Calling ahead was a good idea tho. Food was all hot when served. Was also delicious.. I'm suprised it wasn't more crowded than it was. The hot pot looked good also.. I will be back here again sooner than later. UPDATE!: This restraunt has changed to a buffet style dining and let me tell you!! The food is still excellent and more authentic than any other in the area. Still clean inside. Quiet and delish!

Google
The restaurant decor and ambiance is pleasant. The food was below average. We had the egg rolls, shrimp dumplings, egg drop soup, wings and fried rice. Honestly, I was so disappointed with the appetizers that I didn’t want to order main dishes. Everything was hot. The soup was a very orange but the flavor was good. The wonton noodles for it were a bit stale and when I asked for different [fresh] noodles, she acted like she didn’t understand and said that is all they had. The appetizers were again hot but just okay. Here is the biggest reason I didn’t order further…the pork fried rice was TERRIBLE! There was BARELY any pork and what was was chopped into such tiny pieces…if there weren’t red specks in the rice, I wouldn’t have known there was ANY meat at all. Extra awful for $14-15. The rice didn’t have any flavor. But the worst was the consistency of the rice. It was crumbly like it had been chopped up. It was weird; not grains of rice but more shaped like couscous. I thought if this CHINESE restaurant can’t manage to cooked a decent pot of rice, then I’m not willing to spend any more of my hard earned money here. Our bill was $60 plus a $12 tip. It’s too bad. With the high praise reviews, I was really hoping to finally find great Chinese food. But the quest continues… The service was below average. The waitress was nice I guess but didn’t check in much. She was not really knowledgeable about the menu and was barely able to fulfill small requests such as hot mustard and wonton strips for the soup. She brought me packets of the mustard which I find difficult to believe they don’t have any in-house. I asked but she said that is all they have which was a turn-off. When I wanted additional wontons for the soup, I had to ask a passing host because my waitress just nodded at me and said “I don’t know. That’s all we have.”

Yelp
The wife and I enjoyed their Labor Day lunch which included items from their dinner buffet for $25, not too bad considering the many authentic pan-asian dishes they had on the buffet. I greatly enjoyed sampling the shrimp curry, mapo tofu, and creative sushi items! The standards like egg rolls, rangoons, fried rice, and fried fish. The waitress was very attentive and always removed our old plates very quickly and always had our drinks refilled. We paid at the table, which my wife appreciates because there always seems to be big crowds of people walking around and after 2 trips to the buffet we were both tired of dodging people! We'll gladly take a busy buffet over a slow one any day though, and Asian Seafood House was definitely a lovely experience!

Yelp
The only option available was the buffet at 7 pm. Most of the food tasted like it had been sitting for hours. You could see the watermelon was dry and shriveled at the tips from sitting out. I only saw them refresh a crab platter. My son ended up with food poisoning.
google avatar

Yelp
My hot pot restaurant decided to remove their hot pot offerings and opted for a buffet. Although they had a variety of selections from snow crabs, lobsters, mussels, clams, stir fry, and fried food with fruits and desserts, it pales i comparison to the hot pot. We went on a Saturday evening and at $26 the price is on point for the offerings available. They did have dim sum but it's only offered during lunch time. Will try to go again and try the dim sum. I didnt like that the soups were in the rectangle holding pan vs the actual soup containers but I'm guessing they had to make do with what they had available. I always enjoyed the food they had before cause flavor wise they are one of the best I've had in BR. Not too bad and pretty good deal if ur already on that side of town

Yelp
Very good selection of food on the buffet. The staff was super attentive with clearing tables and refilling drinks. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
What a horrible business decision to go from a 5 star restaurant with great order-off-the-menu food to just another Chinese buffet with very bland and mediocre (at best) buffet food. Used to be my favorite Chinese restaurant in town. Doubt I will be back.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent selection and quality food, genuine Chinese flavors. The food are tasty and fresh.

Yelp
I always enjoy their food! The service is fast and the waitors are polite. It's clean, quiet, and a family friendly environment. They have affordable lunch specials and their shrimp fried rice is some of the best in the city! It's full of jumbo shrimp!!! We tried the hotpot and it was sort of bland. I know we have to add our own seasonings, but I prefer a more seasoned base. The meat was good quality and overall we didn't have any complaints.

Yelp
Now real Dim Sum from carts. Lunch is excellent!, but their evening offerings aren't anywhere near as good. So this is a great LUNCH place. Skip the fried noodles w/ cabbage. Rick

Yelp
Visiting BR for a week we thought giving this dim sum restaurant a try. We went for lunch. Nice place and friendly service. The inside is nice and clean. We ordered the crispy duck lunch special and some dim sum dishes. The chicken feet, shrimp rice rolls and steamed buns were all ok.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
I called to place a take out order, in my order I wanted the shrimp shumia and Shanghai soup dumplings. I was a little past the time for the dim sum menu but they went ahead and made them for me. Let me tell you IM SO HAPPY THEY DID!!! The service was excellent and everyone was friendly. Everything I got was absolutely amazing. The restaurant was beautiful, I'll definitely be back to dine in. Definitely worth the 2 hour drive!!

Yelp
Food was not very good. Some of the worst dim sum we've had. Four adults for $200, you'd expect good quality dim sum. Not the case here. The Chinese BBQ pork was extremely dry and stale tasting, with no Chinese BBQ flavor. Horrible. Left most of it on the table. Beef short ribs were so bad, we left most of those on the table as well. It tasted like bland roast beef po-boy meat. Horrible. The green onion pancakes were ok. The turnip cakes were good, but it ends there. Fried rice was dry and extremely bland. Steamed pork buns terrible. Shrimp dumplings and other steamed items also terrible. The ambiance was ok except for the awful odor of the seafood tanks. Very disappointing dining experience.
google avatar

Lois L.

Yelp
Dim sum for lunch was different and delicious. Liting was our server who explained and recommended several dishes. Dumplings and pot stickers fried and steamed served in shareable portions. A Chinese tradition which we will try again.

Yelp
They have THE BEST egg drop soup and lo mien I've ever tasted! This was my first time coming here and that's all I tried. This place looks like they serve authentic Asian cuisine!! It's a little pricey and when you order, the wait is about fifteen minutes (got order to go). There's a lot of selections to choose from but was disappointed they didn't have a couple of items I was looking for. I'll definitely return to dine in. It's not the fanciest place but it's pretty nice. There was a decent amount of people there when I visited and several people arrived for take out orders. They serve duck, calamari, intestines, things I wouldn't actually eat myself but may be a delicacy for others. But if the rest of their food tastes hot and fresh like what I got so far, I'll definitely be returning again and again.

Darlene R.

Yelp
We went to this restaurant for dim sum. We found the items much too doughy. We also thought that the shrimp tasted spoiled to us. Haven't been back.

Yelp
Amazing fish balls You need to come so good food Love it coming again They got the amazing foods for the hot pot

Casetta R.

Yelp
Ok so I was excited about this place. The menu looks soo inviting and I thought the food would remind me of the dishes I had in New York's Chinatown...NOT!! $35 later for mediocre food. I ordered the Peking Pork which was about 6-8 pieces of pork in a very sweet sauce. It came with rice. I also ordered the garlic bok choy and it was under seasoned; it also came with rice. The prices are ridiculous considering the portion size; perhaps they would give you more if you dined inside, I did take out. The only plus for this place is the variety of dishes (pork intestine, frog, chicken feet, etc.) but it's no better than your typical Chinese takeout. Don't waste your time or your money!! I would say it is beautiful inside.

Christine L.

Yelp
Many varieties of fresh vegetables and seafood. You can find things easily on the aisle. Clean environment and with Chinese music on the background. The cashier was kind and warmed

Yelp
Food was amazing! Shared the hot oil beef. So good! Very different with the Chinese five spice, cucumbers, peanuts, mushrooms and cilantro. Waitress was great! Very sweet girl who told us about some of her favorite other restaurants. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Asian seafood consistently hits the mark. I've been here more then 10 times now (in the span of 6 months) and the food & service have been consistently great each time. Lunch: their lunch special is a great deal! Soup, egg roll & large entree with rice for around $13 is a steal (plus their egg drop soup is delicious). Dinner: their dinner service is just as great. The entrees have all been delicious (peking porkchops, honey walnut shrimp, pineapple shrimp, fried rice). The servings are large and fresh with great flavor. Hot Pot: my favorite hot pot spot in BR. The soup bases are delicious & ample. The meats are freshly cut and come out in large portions. The veggies are all great quality. A must try for those who have yet to dive into hot pot!

Yelp
When we first got there it was empty only 2 tables..our waitress asked for our drinks and gave us the drink options and also gave the appetizers suggestions. As we ordered the appetizer we order dumplings, Satan's, and calamari...our of the 3 calamari 10 stars and followed by the watans 9.5 and dumplings a 9.5 star rating ...we then asked for suggestions and ordered the shimp fried rice and mannnn it was good the rice and shrimp ratio was great and then we ordered ribs with black sauce and it was a 10 and the steamed broccoli were crisp and had a great flavor. We then ordered the tofo with shrimp it was a fresh fried order that was just another level of taste...last but not least we ordered the hot pot beef, the spice, the ingredients, the bean sprouts, the seasonings like clover and sage, the meat tender, the crunchy cucumber, and perfect temperature...after all was attacked by me and my team of food friends we gave the visit 9.5 overall. We do appreciate the staff the were attentive and gracious and informative...please see the ffollowing pics sorry some were taken after we attacked the plate.

Yelp
Finally a dim sum place that is just authentic and yummy! The service was amazing and so friendly. Literally the only dim sum spot left in the city... let's keep dining here and keep it alive and running!!

Yelp
Great food service and ambiance Lunch prices was good. Good location. Loved the shrimp fried rice. Shrimp had excellent flavor. Great sweet tea. Loved the variety that comes with the lunch. Good sesame chicken and egg drop soup

Yelp
Friday lunch and we can order dim sum! Wow, and I ordered plenty. The lobster congee was fantastic, but could be slightly better. Ordered many shu mai and dumplings, they were all very tasty. Very little things that I noticed that kept creeping up and for me, those prevented this place for 5 like dumping were stuck together where there's plenty of room to spread out, or too hot steam sticks dumping to the bin and the skin rips, letting all the good stuff out, lipstick on cup, etc. A little disappointed on that. But to get dim sum on Friday was fantastic! The place was big, enough for good crowds on weekend dim sum. The price isn't cheap at all, must be Baton Rouge prices.

Yelp
If you are looking for fresh authentic Asian seafood this is your place!!! We stopped by to grab dinner on a Thursday night. It wasn't too crowded and we were seated immediately. They have a very large menu so it was hard to decide on what to order. There was two of us so we decided to order a couple of things to share. We started with egg rolls and wonton soup. Both were tasty. The egg rolls were served with sweet dipping sauce. The soup bowl was huge and full of seafood stuffed wontons. Next we had shrimp fried rice and shredded beef. We also ordered two lobsters! The food was great and so was the service!
google avatar

Erica S.

Yelp
We had our first Hot Pot here and it was amazing. It was fun and delicious. The staff were courteous and helpful. Definitely going back!!! We ordered a little of everything it seemed...from steak to lobster, veggies. Don't make the mistake we made by ordering too Much.

Yelp
Really pretty and ornate when you walk in, very friendly staff, the food is delicious and there's plenty to choose from, Hot and Sour soup and Peking Duck with the softest buns. Cannot wait to go back

Yelp
First time here and will not be last. Food was delicious and fresh. Staff was friendly. Great interior and the bathrooms were very clean. Sorry that's my thing lol. I have already planned what I want to try next time

Yelp
Celebrating Pacific Islander and Asian month at one of my favorite Asian restaurants. This place is pretty on the inside, the ceiling lights are like chines parasol's, there are partially enclosed rooms with Chinese lanterns, sorta reminds me of some of the places in Los Angeles's China town my grandmother took me as a child. Everything is super fresh here. The seafood is so fresh it swims in tanks until you order it, can't get fresher than that, right. Lol The service is always good when I come and so is the food. Today I got the shrimp & pork eggrolls and twice cooked pork both were good but I gotta say my favorite is the shrimp fried rice the shrimp aren't those tiny fried shrimp like most places use these are huge gulf shrimp so when you come be sure to order. The only soup I've tried here is the wonton soup it's $12 but although it say soup for 1 it's humongous my husband and I get that for a appetizer and we both eat a small bowl and still take more than 1/2 of the soup home. My daughter and I came a couple months ago and got salt n pepper lobsters and they were really good.

Yelp
It's a shame that that great Chinese restaurants in Baton Rouge have essentially disappeared--the family owned places who bought a piece of property and constructed a Chinese looking building so that you knew it was a Chinese restaurant and had a Chinese chef who knew how to cook Chinese style and tasting food are no more. Currently in the Baton Rouge area there are potentially 3 which attempt to carry on and provide Chinese cooking to the masses and Asian Seafood House is 1 of the 3---because of the attempt at the food style, along with the lack of competition, this place gets 4 stars from me---after all, people need to know there are attempts to provide authentic Cantonese style Chinese cooking even if some of its efforts are not that good. But there are some items which are pretty darn tasty and or great attempts and should be tried as they have that favor to the palate which makes one love and seek Chinese food. My most recent visit here was the eve of Chinese New Year---we had a party of 7 and they were kind enough to give us a "private" table---that is there are tables along the perimeter of the restaurant which are more secluded giving the appearance of increased privacy than sitting in the open area dining room. We ordered several dishes brought to the table to share with the group---this included, fish ball soup, 1/2 duck, an attempt at Cantonese style chow mein,Walnut shrimp, a dish of green vegetables only, Happy Family, pork---forget which one but it was lightly fried in a flavorful sauce, fish fish , and 2 other dishes which mixed meats and vegetables---you do not get this flavor and style at other places in Baton Rouge so 4 stars. The service was good and helpful (although we had 1 who already knew what was going to be ordered ahead of time) and our drinks were promptly refilled and plates removed/replaced. I don't give this place 5 stars in respect to the no longer in existence places who were better however this is an establishment which deserves our support because if not, we may lose this style of cooking from the Baton Rouge area. I recommend you try to this and then return when you can.

Yelp
Food was good overall. There are a lot of authentic options and I love that the seafood tank is literally on the floor! Space is very large and clean. Boston Lobster was only ok- I didn't have much meat on me and I suspect they gave my boyfriend some of my pieces - he had salt & pepper lobster, I had the ginger & hibiscus flavor The sauce on my lobster was gelling after 10 minutes. Bf loved the salt and pepper - I felt like his lobster had wayy more meat on it 8 piece chicken wing- hot, not seasoned, good breading Thai tea- sweet, desert drink Hot tea- lavender flavor- bf love it but the flavor notes were too light to me Chardonnay was good Combination noodle- large serving, huge pieces of meat - 2 ppl could eat this Boiled fish in hot chili sauce- so good and huge, 3-4 ppl could eat this- the serving size is massive , the veggies were so fresh, if your feeling stuffy or not well I would definitely order this Why the low score it's all about the service. We walked in and no one greeted us. They made eye contact then went back to chatting and 2 ladies were counting money. We stood there for a while until I said are you able to seat us. No apology or anything. We had a young girl who was helpful but didn't seem to know anything beyond the food. And she left without telling us and a different waitress was not assigned. So we had no water, napkins, no refills, no one checked to see if we were alright. Also the menu was not up to date- there was an advertisement for a lobster special and we were told that it was old & not available. Drinks we were interested in were not available. The restaurant was not packed or busy. We were 1 of 3 tables. I noticed when an Asian family walked in they were greeted immediately and walked to the table by 2 waitresses and someone from the kitchen - came out to greet. They received a very nice reception. Me and my boyfriend are foodies and we spent $150 on the meal. Really wish the service had been better

Yelp
Duck is great, everything else wasn't impressive and it was overpriced. I went for dinner, the only good thing was the duck, very well cooked, crunchy and tasty, everything else was not very impressive at all. Fried rice, noodles, nothing new and flavor was just ok. Maybe the lunch menu es better, but dinner was too much money for what we got. I feel I was charged more for the looks of the place than for flavor and good service. The place is clean and staff is friendly, they smile at costumers, but communication was very difficult, some do not speak English very well and do not listen to what you really ask, another one was rushing us to pick something without asking anything. If you have questions, they get lost, because servers only want to hear what number in the menu you want to order. Nothing else. Forget about asking for a suggestions between two dishes... that made it worst. I was super disappointing going to the bathroom and finding out that THERE IS NOT BABY CHANGING TABLE! Where am I supposed to change my baby's diaper in a "family" restaurant? I wasn't about to put my baby on the floor! so, very inconveniently I had to go out of the restaurant and do it in the trunk of my vehicle in the heat of Louisiana, all this while my food was getting cold and companions where sitting waiting for me to come back. I doubt I'll be back, at least I'll have to wait to potty train my child to give them another chance. I am very dissatisfied.

Yelp
Wow! I have eaten lunch here 3 times in two weeks and each time is is wonderful. I don't gush about restaurants but this place has wonderful ambience, the food is delicious and plentiful and the service tops. So far i've stayed with the lunch menu and western type dishes (Mongolian Beef, Beef and Broccoli, etc) but will be trying more adventuresome dishes in the near future. And the soup which comes with the mean is excellent too! Very rich and smooth. I would come here just for that!! That's it. I am very impressed.

Yelp
Highly recommended by my friend Allen. Pick items that you are familiar with. Reasonably priced and good quality.

Yelp
DIM SUM IS HERE!! Still can't believe I can get Houston quality Chinese food here in Baton Rouge. Dim Sum is offered every day from 11am-3:30pm, it looks like they wheel a cart around with a few offerings but you can also order a la carte from the menu. Li Ting has been my server the past few times I've been here and she's AWESOME and super friendly and helpful wit the meu. Here's some stuff we tried: Mango and Pomelo Sago - This was my favorite item of any dim sum. It's a refreshing chilled mango-coconut soup with tiny tapioca pearls and juicy pieces of mango and pomelo (similar to a grapefruit) Egg Custard Bun - I was surprised how beautiful the bun was, it was soft and pillowy. The custard filling was really good, like slight coconutty-vanilla-y custard Shanghai Pork and Crab Soup Dumpling - The filling was really flavorful, but sad they didn't have as much soup in there ): Shrimp Rice Roll - Like a slippery rice paper steamed with shrimp and with sweet soy sauce poured over. Next time I'll try the fritter one, which is like a unsweetened Chinese beignet that's crunchy that would go really well with the rice paper Pan fried pork buns and the steamed roast pork buns will pillowy soft with tons of filling. So excited they have dimsum here now! Looks like they're operating on a smaller menu (pictured attached) but looking forward to trying more things as they expand!

Yelp
Saturday night: 6:00pm. Everything came out very quick and was delicious. All entrees are generous portions. Everything was fresh, the restaurant was clean, and the aesthetic is very nice. Appetizers: crab Rangoon. Maybe the best I've had. Thin, sweet wrapper stuffed with sweet filling. Walnut shrimp. Great sauce. The walnuts were just as good as the shrimp. Entrees: General Tso chicken. Bite sized, fresh, pieces of chicken. Great quality and the sauce was not too spicy. Huge portion. Enough for 4 people easily. Mongolian beef. Melted in your mouth. Small, thin strips of marinated beef. House special fried rice. Beef, chicken, and shrimp. Very flavorful and packed with extras.

Yelp
So yummy. Service was ok, but they focused more on the busier side of the restaurant. Since we had a bigger group with children we were on the other side of the busier side so we often found ourselves having to waive down servers. The food was delicious though so 5 stars for that alone!

Yelp
We come here often for very great Asian food! Clean dining room and the kids really enjoy the fresh fish on display. They have a great combo of authentic Asian dishes, dim sum and hot pot. An added plus is they have amazing crawfish!

Yelp
!!BIAS SERVICE!! The owner of this restaurant owns the Asian Food Mart in the same area. We frequently shop and spend our coins at his Asian Supermarket. Yesterday, June 17th while cashing out a nice lady mentioned that the restaurant had a lobster meal featured on Fathers Day. Well today's Fathers Day and we visited the restaurant. We walked in and low and behold we ran into the nice lady, who told us it's a big party. I asked if there was a wait she said no and left out the door. We were seated and given the dim sum menu. Five minutes after being seated another family came in. They were offered water by the same lady. She walked away and and promptly returned with their water. There were several employees cleaning up the area from the departed large family. We watched workers walking around but not one came to to even offer a drink of water. A man whom we seen entering the restaurant in a white shirt I assume was the manager and owner who walked over looked at us with a grim face and walked away. We stayed there for 10 minutes to long waiting to be served. I will never set foot in this restaurant again because if you treated me like shit ignoring me I dam sure will not trust them to serve me food. Use your own judgement after reading this to determine if you want to visit. For me personally I would not recommend it. There are other Asian Markets so I will not spend my coin patronizing this bias food establishment or food mart again.

Yelp
Great place! They really put a lot of $ into this place and it's really, really nice inside. We stopped by on a Saturday night and had the beef chow fun, sizzling short ribs w/ black pepper sauce, and whole steamed flounder. Everything was very good (just watch out for those pesky bones in the flounder!) Our server was great and the other employees were very friendly and courteous.

Yelp
Great Asian restaurant that should have more people eating at it. Food is fresh and flavorful. The family style servings are great for people who like a variety of foods. Serves you some of the largest shrimps at a restaurant in BR. They even have dim sum on the weekends if you are in to that. I haven't tried the hot pot so that isn't included in this rating, but it looks good and people are ordering it often. As well wait staff is extremely friendly. If you have never eaten here some prices seem kind of high, but the food comes in large dishes and usually 2 dishes will be enough for 3 people (depending on how hungry you are of course)

Yelp
Well...this place actually has dim sum! Yay!!! It's pretty decent dim sum outside of the West Bank! I enjoyed the variety of dishes. They are ordered to the table when going on a weekday. Dim sum are basically small plates of foods that you pick from a pushing cart or order from a menu. Dim sum is a collective term similar to having brunch or tapas. The only I would love more is my fun rolls to have a more cohesive beef filling rather than pieces of beef. The baos are good and hot. I'll try to swing back by since this place is a bit further from me.

Yelp
The food presentation was beautiful, and it tasted even more amazing. Our waiter was really good and recommended us amazing dishes. It was the XO Sauce Seafood Delight, as well as the Stir Fried Fresh Flat Rice Noodle. I also got the Pork Chop with salted pepper for togo. XO Sauce Seafood Delight Sweet and Savory taste, seafood tasted fresh Stir Fried Fresh Flat Rice Noodle Noodle's tasted amazing, not too oily, savory taste Pork Chop with Salted Pepper Was really good and not too salty, really fatty but tasted good. Would recommend reheating in air fryer or oven if eating it for leftovers to keep the crunchiness. 10/10 Service 9.5/10 Food 9/10 Presentation

Yelp
The million dollar question that everyone wants to know; is Asian Seafood Market the OMI replacement for authentic Sichuan food? The answer right now is no BUT the restaurant is unique in its own rights. I only tried 2 menu item out of the 100 they had on the entire menu now. What I ordered: 1. Walnut shrimp $15.95: The sauce was just too sweet and overwhelming along with the shrimp not being crispy enough. On a plus note, the shrimp tasted like a meaty shrimp in every bite. 2. Diced chicken with dry chilli pepper $11.95 : This dish right here isn't the Chong Qing chicken from OMI but it is comparatively similar. The spicy chicken nuggets was bite sized juicy with a karate kick to it. I would definitely come back here just for the diced chicken and would definitely come back here to try all the other menu items! Price wise, it's decent and I have no complaints at all.

Yelp
Wow I am so impressed! This is my first time here after passing by so many times. The Hong Kong Style Pan-Fried noodle was phenomenal. I really like the scallion beef short ribs with rice. I also got the simmered ox tail with dry scallop soup, which was smaller than I expected Servers were awesome and attentive. The server said they will have dim sum and hot pot in about a month. Can't wait to try it out. All I can say is I'll be back!

Yelp
I have been waiting for this place to open since 2020 and I had high hopes since it was right by the asian market. Unfortunately, the fried calamari was did not meet my expectations. It was quite salty and not as crispy as typical fried calamari. The spicy mayo sauce that comes with the order is also not that good. I want to give this place another try and get something different next time.

Yelp
Came here during the week and I not very busy with plenty of seating. We wanted to order the hot oily fish, but they said they couldn't do it. We scrambled and ordered the sea bass, along side two veggie dishes. The food was decent, not the best, but definitely the best in BR now that OMI is closed. They have a pretty expensive menu and do dim sum - not sure when. I'd recommend trying this place out

Yelp
Best Asian restaurant in Baton Rouge. Seafood is always fresh. Hands down the best hot pot around! Shrimp fried rice really good with some of their spicy mayo on it. Shrimp balls are great! Hot pot fish soup is really good. The staff has always been very friendly to us!!! Wish they were on the west side of the river I could eat there more often!

Yelp
Exquisite Food. Super-Sized Portions! I visited this spot out of curiosity on a quiet Sunday. Their menu is quite extensive- including a variety of live seafood onsite that is freshly prepared upon order. The portions as I mentioned before are quite substantial. Even the small soups are sharable sized. I LOVED the fried shrimp appetizer, and the Triple Delight is indeed a delight! The service staff is very attentive and will help you understand the menu if you require assistance. Its a busy spot, but has a quiet atmosphere. I'm definitely going back!
