Overhyped, overpriced, and disappointing Visited the much-hyped Aslam Chicken at Jama Masjid and tried their famous Butter Chicken along with Rumali Roti, Khameeri Roti, Chicken Korma, and Chicken Biryani. Unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations. Despite a waiting time of nearly 30 minutes, the food did not justify the crowd or the hype. The place was extremely crowded, and to make it worse, the pricing felt quite high for the quality and taste being served. The Butter Chicken was especially disappointing — it tasted like plain tandoori chicken drowned in excessive butter, cream, and masala, completely overpowering any real flavour. The Chicken Korma was the only somewhat edible dish, but even that was nothing special. The gravy was loaded with over-roasted onions, giving it a slightly bitter aftertaste. The biryani was a complete letdown — bland, no aroma, no masala depth, and not even properly seasoned. It felt more like coloured rice than biryani. Rumali Roti and Khameeri Roti tasted just fine, but that alone is not enough to justify the hype or the prices. Overall, this place is highly overhyped and overpriced. I would not recommend it to anyone looking for genuinely flavourful Mughlai food.

My friend and I visited Aslam Chicken Corner, one of the most famous and crowded spots near Jama Masjid, Delhi. I tried the paneer tikka, while my friend went for the butter chicken, and we both absolutely loved the food — it truly lived up to the hype. The taste was rich, flavorful, and totally worth it. If you’re in Delhi or planning a visit, this place is a must-try. However, I’d recommend avoiding weekends, as it gets extremely crowded with a waiting time of around 30 minutes. Visiting on a weekday would be a much better experience

Famous for their tandoori and butter chicken and roomali rotis, you can dine as well as take-out sumptuous north-Indian food from here. Service is reasonably fast. It is one of the famous spots of non-veg dining in Chandni Chowk.

This review might help many of you. So to reach here you can use metro and reach at chawari bazar metro station then hire h E riksha for 40-50 Rs. For 2 people. He will drop you outside 4 number gali, it's a small walk from there, 4 number gali is kinda very crowdy but take it as an experience because everyday is like this. I reached here after 9pm. They have two branched one by one after 50 meter distance. Because of rush u visited second one, I thought in back of the mind was that like how the restaurant will be crowd will be because I was with my Girlfriend. Luckily I was able to find a seat at 3rd floor. Now let's know about the place. They place was crowed for sure because of the hype and also it was Saturday but we found seat in 2 minutes. We ordered half butter chicken and rumali roti We received our order in 10 minutes like the server said even I was prepare after reading reviews that they will serve in minimum 30 minutes. They place was very clean and crowd was decent few family and couples were also there. Food:- It's there spices butter cream and well cooked chicken together. If someone is writing that don't eat it's Colestrol butter and cream it's doesn't taste like butter chicken. So I want to ask them 99% of them already know they will get served chicken with butter and cream so how you can point out this, don't go if you are afraid of Colestrol and all because it is already clear what the serve. Good taste nice chicken was well cooked it was because of spices in tangy side not spice side. Worth your visit and the best part after every 2-3 minutes server will kepl asking if you need anything so 5/5 for service for sure. You can easily visit this place for its taste every month. Food 5/5. You will get bill on the same floor and you will pay it in the ground floor. Rs. 340 for half chicken and with butter and cream worth every single rupees and half is more then enough for 2 people Rumali roti was rs. 10. Place is not over hyped over priced at all Do visit and enjoy their food. And if you have to wait don't blame them it's always crowed and please don't say Colestrol Colestrol because you know before visiting what they serve 5/5. Thank you

Discover this from internet as a place to get the butter chicken. After strolling to chaotic and bustling Old Delhi finally I reach this place. The space in restaurant is quite narrow and crowded so you may share your table with stranger which for me personally I dont have any issue with that. They take the butter chicken in literal way, with the grilled-chared spiced chicken dump into the butter sauce with mixture of the yoghurt. The rumali roti compliment the chicken really perfectly and I really love the roti actually. As a warning, their minimum portion for buttrr chicken is half chicken so if you are a solo traveler so you will eat really a lot here.

I recently visit Aslam Butter chicken literally chicken dipped in melted butter and cream like thing which is sour in taste. Do not go here watching any reels and all. Personally experience normal taste it’s hyped in social media…

I recently visited Aslam Chicken in Old Delhi and tried their famous Butter Chicken with gravy. As you can see in the picture, the chicken was served with a generous amount of buttery gravy. The taste was decent but not exceptional — I would rate the food 3/5. Unfortunately, the overall experience was not very satisfying. The service was poor (1/5), with delayed responses and very little attention given to customers. The staff was also not friendly (1/5), which made the visit less enjoyable. The seating arrangement was quite uncomfortable (2/5) and definitely needs improvement for a better dining experience. Overall, I would say it’s worth trying once for the name and hype, but the place surely needs to work on their service, hospitality, and seating. ⭐ Food: 3/5 ⭐ Service: 1/5 ⭐ Staff: 1/5 ⭐ Seating: 2/5

Should try their authentic butter chicken once in lifetime. Restaurant is always crowded but you don't have to wait for you seat. Food may find expensive for those who doesn't spend much, but it worth to be a lifetime experience.
