"There are a handful of rooftop bars in Philly that are on top of hotels, with low-to-the-ground, white lounge furniture as if that will convince you that you’re not in the mid-Atlantic. Assembly is definitely in that category, but it’s the only one that might actually make you think you’re somewhere else. That is, until you catch the view of the parkway and Art Museum and basically every other visibly “Philly” landmark there is from the top of The Logan hotel. On nice days, it definitely gets super crowded, so your best bet is to get there early and then stay until they turn on the fire pits at night." - candis mclean, alison kessler
"Assembly is all about the views and not so much about the food. The busy rooftop bar is nine floors up (atop the Logan Hotel), so you can drink a margarita and look down at the Parkway or up at one of those eclipses that happen every 127 years. We recommend making a reservation, which costs $10 and guarantees entry. Plan to come on the earlier side so you get a seat on the semi-circle couches near a fire pit." - candis mclean
"When winter comes around, head outdoors and upstairs. The Assembly Rooftop Lounge, nine stories up on the roof of The Logan hotel in Center City, is an all-weather terrace where sofas wrap around firepits and blankets are provided for cuddling up under the stars. Festive décor, plenty of greenery, and candles make this a prime winter destination; plus, there are hot cocktails on the winter menu made with rum, hot chocolate and vanilla whipped cream or green tea, brown sugar, lime, and rum — just the thing for keeping you warm as you ring in the new year with the city’s best views." - Vox Creative
