Where To Grab Lunch In The City - London - The Infatuation

"This excellently named South American joint is famous with locals for its grilled chicken in special sauce, and it’s a great choice for a Friday lunch. All you have to do is choose how much chicken you want, your side, and whether you want Tabasco or green coriander sauce. Simple as that. Although the chicken and rice isn’t pretty to look at, it’s good, and as a bonus, you’ll probably have enough left over for a sly snack later when no one’s looking." - Oliver Feldman, Jake Oliver, David Paw

The recent menu update has been a disaster. They used to serve broccoli and carrot as veg option but now the fajita veg doesn’t have great taste, looks sad, and I just don’t think it’s a very good veg option. Chicken tastes good as before the portion size has dramatically decreased. The box used to be full even when ordering a normal size but now it’s not even full. Very sad to see how things are changing here at this place. They have recently increased the price but it’s shocking that they’ve also downgraded the vegetable option. It is very disappointing to see a merchant going down both route reducing costs. Probably won’t go back again.

Decent sized portions - did me lunch and dinner. Loads of vegan options. Really tasty too, especially the sauce. Gets busy around lunchtime so be prepared.

Seriously, can you believe such small portion meal with tiny chicken now costs £11.5?!!! They have changed better vegetables to cheaper version, meanwhile increased price again recently. Sorry, I don’t think it’s worth for this price, and the new type of vegetables taste horrible! I understand the customer volume can be high in the city, and always try to be polite, but their service quality is also getting poorer and poorer.

Ordered directly from the app, very easy. Ordered the chicken with salad and veg with a side of the hot honey!

Heard a lot of good things about this sandwich place and finally got the opportunity to check it out. I went on the Thursday night before the Good Friday so there was no queue. Got one of the hot sandwiches with fried chicken in it. The portion was very decent considering it only cost £7.5 in the City. The sandwich tasted good but the chicken was a bit too dry for my liking. Will try their famous grilled chicken box next time.

A decent place to try once. But from reading the previous reviews, it appears I missed the best days. A reasonable sized portion of nicely marinated chicken, however the fajita veg lacked variety and the rice was somewhat dry.

Visited for lunch on a Wednesday in January. Decent queues around 1pm but moved along fairly quickly. NOTE WELL: the sandwich queue is much slower than the chicken box meal queue, probably four times slower, all things being equal. So keep that in mind if time is of the essence. I got the Cuban sandwich. It was very good, the pulled pork perhaps a touch on the sweet side but overall highly enjoyable. Service is efficient. The sandwich was £7.50, which I thought was a decent price given the quality and the fact that it’s a pretty big, hearty sandwich. I will definitely return for a takeaway lunch.

I couldn’t leave this restaurant without trying their famous marinated chicken with their homemade green sauce - it was served with a salad and rice. The most disappointing part was the chicken. I thought I had better chicken at a different location. Assemheims’ chicken was alright. It was well done but it wasn’t robust with flavours. Their homemade green sauce was nice and light but it wasn’t superb. But the portion was generous for its price so it was alright
