"The Astrid is the St. Regis's fine dining spot American spot in SoMa with lots of gold accents. Expect floor-to-ceiling windows alongside afternoon tea, brunches full of benedicts, and dinners with short ribs. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

"The St. Regis has long claimed ties to the originator of the bloody mary and with that history comes a unique version of the cocktail from every location of the hotel ever since. The St. Regis San Francisco is no different, with its Golden Gate Mary sporting Don Julio blanco tequila, lime juice, and a made-in-house tomato mixture. Three other bloody mary versions also grace the cocktail menu, and at weekend brunch, patrons can order a bloody mary flight if they please." - Dianne de Guzman, Ellen Fort, Ali Wunderman

I and a friend had lunch at Astra for SF Week. I ordered the Restaurant week menu (2 courses for $45). At the beginning of the experience, we were placed at a booth right near the kitchen door and next to a family of 4 with small noisy children. The dining room was empty except for one couple and a solo diner. I had entered notes when I made my Restaurant Week reservation. With what the hostess gave us, I asked to move tables to the opposite wall. Thank goodness I did because the children were just too loud and distracting. About my meal: The starter of gem lettuce salad, cheese, slices chilis and cilantro dressing was delicious. The second course of Ora Salmon from New Zealand was off. It seemed as if the chef blow torched the salmon exterior but left it uncooked. There was quinoa, cauliflower, diced carrots and Brussels sprouts on the plate with a drizzle of melted butter. I found the salmon bland. There was no seasoning at all. Shocking! The plate also had an odd orange color that I wasn’t sure if it was a seasoned oil or something else. Bland is not acceptable! My companion had the Wagyu burger. Since she had just returned from Japan, she knows what Wagyu tastes like. She also is a big Wagyu beef fan. She didn’t think the burger had Wagyu. Later on that night, she had stomach pains. She told me the next day, it seemed as if the burger gave her food poisoning ☠️ . Overall: Ambiance is very pretty Food was okay to bad Service was very good except for the hostess that day.

Went for SF Restaurant Week! One of my least favourite restaurant picks tbh. It's all gimmick, instagrammable but the food is so basic and bland. Went with the Lumache cacio e pepe, and it was just regular pasta. Nothing here is worth the price, and the gem lettuce salad? The out a hunk of lettuce on the plate and sprinkled grated cheese on it. Not impressed

The burger here use to be delicious; full of flavor and worth the $30. Now it’s basic and lacking any flavor. It doesn’t make sense that you pay $30 for a burger that doesn’t taste better than a $10 In-and-out burger. The meat is cheap - it’s not wagyu. AND they have the audacity to charge $10 for avocado. Never coming back here again

I came here for the cherry blossom afternoon tea. Manika and Wen went above and beyond to make it so special for us since we were celebrating our anniversary. They were so attentive and hospitable. The food was good and the tea selection was nice. Highly recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast at Astra in The St. Regis San Francisco! The décor of the hotel is stunning, as is that of the lobby and restaurant. Service was fantastic and my Cappuccino and Breakfast Croissant were fresh and delicious. Highly recommend checking out Astra if you're in the area.
