"Astro Karaoke’s security cameras captured footage of the car colliding into the building at 2212 Artesia Boulevard in Torrance. The driver collided with two other cars while driving towards traffic on Artesia Boulevard, mowed down a fire hydrant, hit a light pole, then drove right into Astro Karaoke before being taken to a hospital for minor injuries. According to officials, no one was hurt except for the suspected driver. The accident occurred at 1:30 a.m. while employees were with karaoke singing customers in the rear of the building. According to NBC 4, Astro Karoke’s owner closed the business early that same evening, and suggested the decision likely saved many from injury." - Mona Holmes

Was in town for an event and had free time the night before. My friends and I found this place online so we decided to try it out. Drinks are cheap and taste good, we had to wait an hour to get a room because we didn’t make a reservation, and food tasted so good!! It was a total of $250 for 4 people for food, 3 rounds of drinks, and two hours of karaoke. Customer service wasn’t the best, I agree with that. They’re not mean but they’re also not super helpful and kinda slow…. I’d definitely recommend coming here and trying it out on a random night though!! Just don’t expect much customer service.

Google
Service was bad, the server didn’t really explain how to use the machine. He was quick and rushed us out. We wanted to rent the room for an hour but came back 35 mins later to tell us the room had already been reserved. Tried to charge us for an hour. This place is dysfunctional. The bartender told us we can take the bottle home and came back to tell us we couldn’t even when we paid for it. I’ve never heard a karaoke bar only charge by minutes! It’s hourly! It even says hourly!

One of the associates helped us with the room, took our order, served our drinks. He was great when we first arrived. I don’t know what changed, but 30 mins into our session he came into our room with a reciept telling us our time was up and there was another reservation after us. (That was a lie because they said someone reserved it for 12:15am but it was 12:23am and we didn’t leave the bar until about 12:40am.. no one occupied the room after us) After I asked the associate why our time was cut short, in my opinion he pretended to not know english, or pretended to not know what I was talking about when I asked him why our time was cut short. It was a weird vibe. Don’t go if your not asian. In my opinion, it was weird and I’m pulling the race card.

Google
drinks are very good but customer service and staff below human standards. Had reservations and informed them our estimated time of arrival and had everything planned for my friend who flew all the way from canada and as we arrived, we get a call saying our reservation had an issue and we have to wait and then we asked why and they HUNG UP. As we entered, the lady said our reservation was “gone” and that we can come back in 2 hours. Like i said, they have good drinks but a complete waste of time bc they would prioritize bigger parties and ignore reservations for smaller groups.

Google
We called the store to reserve a room in advance and confirmed our reservation with a staff member over the phone. When we arrived at the specified time, we were informed that there were no rooms available despite having made a reservation in advance. Our time was wasted and I absolutely would not recommend this place due to their lack of professionalism.

Google
Spaghetti carbonara here is soooo dang good. Very friendly people to play darts and sing karaoke with. Remember to book a time in advance because the rooms fill up fast.

Coolest karaoke bar I’ve ever been too... special rooms set up, bottle service, great food and good times... I wish I lived closer because this would be my spot... I can’t wait to go back

Google
Chill place to hang out. If you like to sing they have private karaoke rooms.

Yelp
Astro Karaoke is a hidden gem I recently discovered while attending a sake tasting event on the weekend. Had no idea this karaoke lounge even existed until that night. Tucked away in a strip mall on Artesia blvd. Astro Karaoke offers a fun night out for groups of friends looking to let loose and belt out some tunes. This compact venue packs a lot into its small space - electronic dart boards, a well-stocked bar with an extensive selection of sakes and beers, and around eight tiny private karaoke rooms outfitted with microphones, screens, and song selection tablets. Added bonus order excellent food from the bar which is provided next door by "Ramen Josui".

Yelp
Our local karaoke place. It's been a long while since my last visit! Although they have a food menu, the kitchen closes at 10. I was a bit sad as we just finished dinner at another place and I wanted something sweet. Oh well! We ordered: Asahi on draft White Peach soda cocktail Chu-high Sake flight And all the sappy songs we could find in their library! Enjoy! Happy singing!

Chantilly A.

Yelp
Karaoke system needs to be better. The only way we could change songs on the machine was if we were two inches away from the sound system. Very annoying. Weak song selection

Yelp
One of my favorite karaoke spots! The staff are very accommodating and nice. I don't struggle with scheduling a room with them; at least during the times I've went, the place has been pretty free (so sometimes I can ask for a room the day of). There's a decent amount of songs, but I wish they had a bit more. Otherwise, the vibes are super chill. It really is one of my go-to spots.

Amy H.

Yelp
We came here with a group of 10 and it came out to about $40/person with drinks. The last call for food is at 10:30pm so although they're open until 1am the food won't be available. Instead we had ordered food for the room which they allow. The songs are organized by top hits, song name, and artist. They tend to have more popular songs on the list but there are a few that are missing. Not a complete list but the songs available are fun to sing to. The yuzu drink is great and will get you into the singing mood.

Yelp
This is easily the best Karaoke spot in South Bay. Astro Karaoke is a local karaoke bar that primarily serves a Japanese community, from the food options, drink selection, and karaoke machines. The ambience is very laid back and most of the regulars speak Japanese. It's a small community and it's been easy for me to meet new people which is always a plus. There is a wide variety of Japanese songs, and a decent variety of international music as well. The service is pretty good and I never usually have an issue getting a room to sing. The best part is that karaoke is $5 an hour. If you purchase drinks and sing, you will only get charged for the drinks. You can't find this anywhere else in the area. You can also order ramen from Josui Ramen next door and eat while singing away. I'm here a few times a week, it's one of the best nightlife options Gardena has to offer.

Yelp
I'm not sure if this place was having an off night or if they are less functional on Saturdays but unfortunately we did not have a great experience here. We showed up at 9:20 for our 9:15 reservation and were told they gave our room away. We had to wait until 10pm for our room and once we got it the sound system was broken. We could either hear the background music or use the mics, not both. We asked for help but the bartenders were too busy to help. I like this place but I do think it is important to have the microphones functional at a karaoke bar which is why I am giving 2 stars. This place is a good vibe-I hope they figure it out so we can come back!

Yelp
Very local neighborhood Kara Okè (kah rah oh keh) bar with private separate booths for groups and singing at the main bar for drop-ins. Accommodating staff. The clientele leans towards East Asians since Torrance has the largest population of Japanese Americans on the U.S. mainland. Confer w/ management to determine going rates for the private Kara Okè rooms. Weekend and holiday evenings are the most expensive, and the price/person goes down depending on the number of people using the room.  Yelp lists the food served here as Traditional American. There are some rotating items that may be considered "American" such as Spaghetti & irregularly shaped Meatballs in tomatoey meat sauce, Pizza, fried potato Wedge Fries, Ratatouille, Lamb Chops, Caesar Salad, Shrimp Scampi, Crab Avocado Salad, Garlic Butter Sautéed Veggies, etc. However, at least half of the food is Japanese bar food such as Ja Ja Tōfu, Duck Breast in Light Shōyu/soy sauce, Sashimi flavoured w/ Miso/fermented, salty soy bean paste, Shichimi dusted cucumber & Jako/dried baby sardines, Japanese Curry, etc. Remember: Kitchen closes at 10:30pm everyday. There is a decent list of beers, wines, Sakè (sah keh), Shōchū (show chew)/Japanese low alcohol Vodka. Since Astro only has a beer & wine license, expect Shōchū instead of vodka for their mixed cocktails. I attended a birthday party w/ food catered by Astro. Mostly Japanese dishes w/ Pizza Margherita, Spaghetti Bolognese con Polpete w/  yucky Kraft "parmesan" for some Western slanted food. Don't expect très haute cuisine & high end Japanese aesthetics cuz you ain't gonna git it. 3 stars for the grub. Dranks seem to be the way to go, but hard drinkin' & singin' kin raise the appetite, and Astro then starts to taste a might better.  This is not a bar to travel 50 miles for, but if your friends like Kara Okè, drink, sing and are all in the neighborhood, then Astro will be the 4- star joint de jour.

Yelp
I visited this place for the first time last Saturday with a group of 12. There's plenty of parking in the parking lot. I highly recommend booking a room a few days ahead especially for the weekend. The food tasted great, the service was prompt, and the music selection was pretty darn decent. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE CHECK: Make sure the alcohol you purchase is on the same tab as your food and karaoke room as it is counted as credit toward the karaoke room fee. We made the mistake of splitting the bill and didn't receive the credit initially. I didn't notice until the next day, but the owner (Yasu) and his employees (Pepa, Mika) were kind enough to give us the credit upon presenting the alcohol receipt. Yasu really values customer service. He even offered a free drink to me for the inconvenience, which I didn't take but was extremely grateful. Yasu is a class act and the place was really wonderful to have fun with friends. I highly recommend this gem of a karaoke joint/restaurant. It's a one stop shop for GREAT TIMES!

Yelp
Went last night with some friends from work. Had a great time with the minimal song selection's. So many artists that weren't on the list but we made do with what was there. Service was ok, the girl with the beanie and the guy were great, the other girl, I'm not sure if she was having one of those nights but she was very RUDE. Slamming the door every time she came in. I've read other reviews and no complaints about service so it was probably just us she didn't like. Oh well, she probably got offended when one of the girls asked for soju and she's like it's schochu this is a Japanese spot. Ok so we didn't know, it was our first time. Another thing is, there were way too many kids in there! What were they doing in there after midnight? Especially in a place with a bar setting? Anyhow we won't be going back.

Alice S.

Yelp
Love this karaoke place- you can order delicious ramen from the restaurant next door and the song selection is pretty good.

Ryan Y.

Yelp
Can't say enough about this place! Became friends with the staff, and it's like visiting a friend's place rather than just some bar. It's become a regular place, for me and my friend, plus the Karaoke system is the same as the one I'm used to from Japan, so I'm able to find all my fav Japanese tunes as well as English ones! Love it here!

Alberto O.

Yelp
Went Wednesday at 7 with my girl. Great vibe, the soy sauce duck was delicious. Cook people working behind the counter, cool people chilling at the bar. Next time I'm in the area,

Mai L.

Yelp
The service is amazing! The staff was very kind and helpful. The food was good, definitely a great selection for a karaoke place. We were there for longer than we expected and they still accommodated us. Me and my friends had a blast! If I'm ever in this area again, I will come back.

J L.

Yelp
The karaoke room we got for five people was small and crowded, and the mics had some feedback whining that was harsh on the ears even after the employees came in to make adjustments. Even so, the sound quality was top tier compared to other karaoke spots. Restroom was clean and the parking lot had ample space. Decent spot, but please fix the sound system. Didn't try the food, but my friends did and didn't complain, so can't comment much more on that. Would come back again.

Jane T.

Yelp
This place is NOT like any of the photos posted! Completely run down. I do mean dirty walls, broken tile on the floor, ripped couches, no blue tooth for song selection, we were only able to choose songs from previous left on the history, the electrical socket on the wall was super damaged we could not plug in our cell phones because the plug would push back into the wall and kept moving in the wall socket and the equipment was not bad not the newest but worked okay, the customer service person was helpful changing it to English so we could read what the songs said but he could not help with any other song collections other than what was already there. No modern songs, customer service person said only the larger rooms have blue tooth and could not offer any further help. We made the best of it. We paid $7.00 per person per hour. The customer service was great super nice folks no attitude quick to serve. Do not EAT here on the way to the restroom peeked in the kitchen extremely dirty and as a food manager I can tell you many serve safe and codes violations here! The city definitely needs to look at this place! Mostly a local hang out, we did not feel unsafe as this was in a shopping area with many closed shops. Pleanty of parking. All in all I would not recommend nor would I return to this venue.

Yelp
Came for a random Saturday karaoke night and will definitely be coming back. First of all their prices were soooooo amazing. We had one round of drinks and we were there for about 2 hours and we paid less than $30. We did call ahead of time to reserve a karaoke room but it is sometimes not necessary. More convenient just in case they are busy. Their song selection was pretty good too. We were there for the throwback songs and they definitely had those. My girlfriends and I are already planning another trip to Astros for our next girls night.

Julie J.

Yelp
They have many kinds of song selections than my expectation. Korean songs, pop songs.. If you like to sing songs, come to this spot. I went to this spot because I wanted to sing, but it seems like they don't have song list, book, so, bring your song list, you can search. Karaoke was clean and the system was good. I just went there with my friend and sang out loud and relieved my stress. If you want to drink, you can order alchohol. I didn't, but they didn't say anything. The people was just so nice there. The whole atmosphere was so chill and nice there. There was a restaurant next to it, too. It looks like they are together. I think It is good place to hang out!

H O.

Yelp
The people are nice but the machine and speakers they have are like over 15 years old. There are not so many Japanese karaoke here so I go there often. They open pretty late too.

Ashley F.

Yelp
Let me start with thanking the great Servers/Bartenders here!! I lost my keys and they allowed me to leave my car overnight!! Luckily they found it the next day!! My Hero's!! I've Never been to private room karaoke like this but it was fun! The lyrics are a tad off on some songs due to the translation but still fun!! Can't wait to go back!

Alex C.

Yelp
Had a great night out with friends at Astro Karaoke. They have a bar and some digital darts games in the main room and offer food which is prepared in a kitchen shared with an adjacent restaurant. We reserved a "karaoke box" which is a room which seats 6-12 people depending on the room reserved. Karaoke is fun, cathartic and a great experience to share with friends. Astro Karaoke offers songs in English and Japanese, and the selection or playlist is through a digital keypad. There's a call button in the room when you want service for food or drink. Try the chicken wings after 10 pm or the prosciutto pizza!!! Both outstanding for bar food. They can get crowded on Friday and Saturday nights, so room reservation is the way to go. It's located in a strip mall, so there's ample parking. The servers are the best and the crowd is pretty chill.

Lauren K.

Yelp
We came to Astro Karaoke on a Saturday night with a reservation and were promptly directed to our room. It wasn't a huge space, but it was sound proof, clean enough, we found most of the songs we were looking for, and the food/drinks weren't too expensive. Downgraded from 5 stars because the room overall / cost per person was much higher than other karaoke places in the area.

Julie G.

Yelp
I'm very frustrated with Astro Karaoke! I called Friday night for a Saturday reservation. Lyfts were ordered, sitters arranged, and then 45 minutes before our reservation time, I get a call saying they overbooked & there was NO room for us. 5 minutes later I would have been in the Lyft already. This is very poor customer service. Last time we went, we had a great experience - I'm very disappointed.

Jenn G.

Yelp
Shhh.....I have a secret! However because you've graciously taken the time to read my review, I'm going to share with you my secret (insert: *wink, wink ;) here). Here it goes....drumroll please.....my big secret is I love to sing! Now I'm far from being a good singer (insert: haha haha :P here), but I do love me some good ol' karaoke! After enjoying a good dinner with some fellow Yelpers at adjacent Azabu (http://www.yelp.com/biz/azabu-torrance?hrid=Atigrp3Iksc2ojahwsLnsQ), I was really excited when we decided to head over to Astro. Astro is a classic Karaoke bar with small rooms with karaoke flat TV screens. The room is $5 per person. However during happy hour (5-9pm), for any food/beverage order that exceeds over $5, one person may get an hour free of karaoke. For regular hours (9pm to closing), it is for any beverage order that exceeds $5, one person will get an hour free of karaoke. They have a cute electronic box where you pick the songs. We did have to ask the waitress how to use it because there are various Japanese buttons. Once we got a hang of how to use it however, it was pretty easy. The song selection is pretty extensive. Our party's song choices that night ranged from Spice Girls to Lionel Richie to Corrine Bailey Ray. Lol! I had a lot of fun here singing along with my friends Jamie A, Pablo, Jennifer N., Josephine A., Craig Y. and Antho L. No more to just singing in the shower for this Yelp girl, the concert stage is at Astro ;). My "concert" opened up with "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" followed by "Call Me Maybe." Yup, my secret of singing is no longer a secret ;). I was a little shy for this karaoke session though so I will be back for concert #2....soon ;) This place rocks!

Eddie N.

Yelp
Great place to gave a beer . They have darts and Karaoke !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jamie A.

Yelp
If you want a large room on a weekend, you should definitely make a reservation. I made the last one a week in advance and they had limited openings. I have been to Astro a few times and each time they seem to be busier! Note that everything is electronic here, so you don't get any books. They display wasn't fully charged so we had to leave it plugged in which was kind of annoying when we wanted to pass it around our table of 10. Song selection is limited and they have more of the current pop songs rather than older hits. I think Max's has tons more songs with different versions of a song. But Astro is way cleaner and more of a karaoke/fun atmosphere. Prices are fair and if you buy a drink you get the $5 off the first hour. So pretty much buy a drink, lol. We made a two hour reservation since that was the only slot they had on a Saturday night and you better believe they gave us our bill right on time and tried to rush us out. I guess they are that busy! $5/hr per person.

Vivi I.

Yelp
This is my favorite place for group karaoke. The food & drinks are also great and reasonably priced. Very grateful for this local hot spot.

Rachel B.

Yelp
SO AMAZING best karaoke place ever anddddd the food was great and not expensive at all!!! Ramen, beer pitcher, aaaand fireworks by Katy Perry?? Sign me up. I'll def be back

Craig K.

Yelp
The GF and I went there for karaoke. We got a karaoke box and had an awesome time. We purchased a bottle of iichiko with club soda and lemons. Tony was our server and I want to give a shout out to him for his awesome service. The song selection is quite extensive and the karaoke system itself is easy to use and sounds great. We sang till we got hungry and ordered pasta carbonara. The carbonara was so delicious. We cant wait to come back to sing again and order different items from the menu.

Diane Q.

Yelp
Such a fun place! We came here on a busy Saturday night and were lucky enough for the employees to reserve a room for us when we had called to see what their hours were. The atmosphere is great and employees are friendly and attentive. Karaoke pricing here is unbeatable. Highly highly suggest coming here!

Hope L.

Yelp
I love astro karaoke, you can come here alone.. you can use room for practice singing or dancing too. ;-) you can also order variety of good foods and taste very good! it is euro japanese foods and american(pizza, chicken wings, spaghetti so on) you can drink most of just JAPANESE beer, wine, shochu, nihon-shu(sake).. so on people are very friendly and you can make many new friends here. if you wants to have a party, you can make a reservation and make special day!(make special memories with your friends) songs, you can sing japanese songs, korean, chinese, and english(uk, usa).

Ayumi S.

Yelp
This place is pretty awesome! Went here to celebrate my dad's birthday (he loves karaoke-ing), and my whole family and I enjoyed our time here! Nice little rooms, and they have a button available for assistance whenever needed. Astro has their own food menu, but you can also order food from the restaurant, Azabu, which is next door. That's pretty much what we did. Songs are very easy to find, and the staff was very attentive and helpful. Very cheap prices to go and sing your ass off!

Doy P.

Yelp
Dive karaoke bars, does this place have functional karaoke in the main bar... not really, but ppl don't come here for that. As far as i can judge (unfairly) let's talk staff, the staff is OK by Asian standards but nothing special, i mean try harder ppl... we came in and left within 20min! take that for whatever u will... would I recommend this place? Only if u have no taste for what makes a dive bar enjoyable... but as a karaoke and dive bar, u can do without visiting this place and u won't be missing damn thing

Todd L.

Yelp
Good place for Karaoke with group 6-8. Serves food and drinks which are nice. Sushi is about a 3 star but service and rooms make it a 4 star. Make sure to call day of reservation, guy called me and said room was full and then I went there and they gave us the room.

Patricia L.

Yelp
I guess this makes this the first "meaningful" review. I honestly really enjoy myself here. I went to the other location a couple times, but when I did, it was so crowded it was hard to enjoy myself. I got here around 9:30pm on a Saturday night and it wasn't quite dead, but it wasn't buttcheek-to-buttcheek crowded lol The servers/bartenders there were really nice and friendly. It was our first time at this location and they explained the differences in their menus. They have a specially created shoyu ramen that I really want to try next time (I came here after a mediocre dinner that filled me up... what a waste of space lol). Apparently the guy who opened the place spent much time and effort on the broth of that shoyu ramen and that broth is only available at this particular Astro. Anything that has that much effort and care put into it is worth trying at least once! I also want to try the chashu bowl next time. According to the guy working there, it kind of reminds him of a pork adobo lol. There's a lot of room at the bar and at the lounge-y area. There are 5 rooms, which is a 2 room improvement from the other location. Just a tip and point of reference, if you want to use a room, you should call ahead and make a reservation! Just passing on their advice to us! I'm not a beer-guzzler, so I ordered a white peach cocktail. The cocktails are made with shochu (aka soju). Definitely want to try the Calpico and lychee ones next time too! It was really good and sweet, but at the same time, still potent enough (for a lightweight like me lol). They have Asahi black and Sapporo on draught. We ordered some takoyaki to much on. It wasn't bad. Not the best takoyaki I've had, but definitely perfect to munch on! If you sit in the open mic area (as opposed to the private rooms), you can use their touch-screen devices (with a stylus) to search for your song. Unfortunately, you can't make your song reservation on the machine at this location. But you can just write down the song number and pass it to one of the servers and they will input it for you. Song selection includes Korean, English, Japanese, and apparently some Filipino songs. They're not the most updated, but they have all the classics. It's $1 per song in the open mic area. The private rooms are $5 per person. I'll definitely be back here for more. It's just such a fun environment. People cheer for each other at the end of the song, regardless of your degree of tone-deafness haha Note: The later it gets, the drunker the customers get, and the funnier their performances get.

Ali L.

Yelp
It is pretty good since we can eat restaurant food inside karaoke box. The price can get expensive depending on what time you go. But many selections of songs

Isaac Chris C.

Yelp
It is an awesome for friends to hangout and goof around. Wish they had more of a selection of songs such: Trivium: silence in the snow album Metallica: Fuel master of puppets Sick Puppies: you're going down Pokémon Theme song

Michael K.

Yelp
I'm a regular at the lomita location and have become friends with the workers there, and I have to say they are some of the nicest and patient people you will ever meet. The biggest difference between the two locations is that: 1. This bar is at least 4x the size of the lomita location 2. People don't really sing outside at the bar here, however, at lomita everybody sings and it's more intimate (you'll create friendships as long as you're not creepy) 3. There's a restaurant connected to it this one with a chef ready to make what you request (the bar food is already good but this boosts it to another level) So anyways, I had the omelette chicken rice, pork katsu curry, chicken wings, and french fries. The omelette rice was DELICIOUS, I haven't had it in a while and maaaaan I got a nosebleed from the rush of endorphins. The pork katsu curry was so juicy and tender AND WOW, the rice was EXACTLY the way I like it - sticky and not too wet (get your mind out the gutter people). Finally, the chicken wings and french fries are always made on the spot so they are a great compliment to the Japanese beer and sake, BTW, did I mention they have Lagunitas here and Stone IPA at the lomita location? To sum it up, bring a close group of friends or a date and you won't regret it! (Perfect for first dates TRUST fellas).

Thomas H.

Yelp
I was introduced to this bar by my friend jun and so far I've been here twice. I got to say I really enjoy this place. The karaoke rooms are great and have a great sound system as well as selection in music. And also the service is awesome! They staff is very accommodating and do their utmost to make you feel welcome. The staff is very honest also. Jus good vibes all around. I'll be back.

Shigeki M.

Yelp
Always a good time at Astro. The staff and owner are all friendly, down to earth people. They always come by to see if customers are doing ok and are willing to get you whatever you need. The price point is very affordable if not cheap especially for the incredible service. I recommend checking this place out whether you want to drink to relax or with the intention of singing all night. They also have darts available for those interested. All smiles and good vibes.

Maya K.

Yelp
If you love karaoke you definitely need to come to Astros! Me and my friends come here regularly for drinks and karaoke fun! Aside from karaoke they have a bar, darts, and food! This place can be a hit or miss. Sometimes they're not busy, sometimes they have no rooms available. I would definitely call ahead to see if they're busy! The way it works is as long as each person buys a drink it cancels out the room fee. Such a deal! I really love the employees here, they check up on you often and are really laid back. The songs for karaoke are always up to date and the system is really easy to use. I highly, highly recommend this place to everyone looking to have a chill & fun night! :)

Ayumi G.

Yelp
There is a one of Japanese Karaoke. They are serveIng food and of course you can drink beer and wine.you can enjoy Darts. Very cheep. Weekend is very crowd. I recommend reservations. But very very loud.

Anthony D.

Yelp
We've been here a handful of times and have always had fun. The place is fun if you're buzzed. You can sing karaoke in front of a crowd for 1.50 a song if a private room is not your thing. The food is good and you can order from Azabu next door. The reason I'm only giving it two stars is 1. The service- we sat at the bar on our most recent trip and got very little attention. Our order of wings came out 20 minutes after we ordered it and spoke to several bartenders. Not only that, but we saw our order come out and be delivered to a karaoke room only to come back and sit at the bar for a few minutes before getting delivered to us. 2. The bartender tried to pull a fast one on us- we asked for the driest sake they had on the menu. She proceeded to poor an inferior/sweeter sake into a flask and try to serve it to us. When I asked us what she had poured, she confirmed that it was what we had asked for. It wasn't until I asked to see the bottle did she admit that they were out of what we asked for. Not cool.

Yelp
I love this place! It's a Japanese bar so you can't come here thinking you can order a gin and tonic but they do have a wide variety of Japanese cocktails. They have three beers on draft: Kirin, Asahi, and Sapporo. This place also serves food. The pizza is pretty good but I think my favorites are the fried chicken wings and fried calamari. Both are served with a wedge of lemon and it's really tasty and perfect with beer/drinks. Servers here are always super friendly and they're just fun people. This place also has karaoke rooms which you can reserve for parties. Also, if you order at least $5 of drinks per person per hour, the room charges are free! There are sometimes people also singing at the bar area. There are two astro bars. This one is serving up ramen option while the other has sushi. This location is also bigger than the other. More karaoke rooms and bigger bar area. Overall, this place is a good place to wind down after a day of work and grab and beer and a quick snack. It can get pretty packed on weekends.

Yelp
After eatting dinner at Azabu next door and seeing that this place was connected we decided to check it out. For those local South Bay people that know this area this place is in the corner of the plaza the one where Pizza Hut and the loft are and this place back in the days was Radio Shack. This place is not bad it was $5 w/drink an hour for the room so it's good if you have a group of people. I haven't been karaoke in a long time so i don't know what's all good or not i remember back in the day you would have to look in a book write down the code of the song you want to sing lol. So being all high tech and stuff they had a little wireless box where you can search for artists and songs they have and put them in the cue and if you want you can cancel it anyways it was a fun place. Some of the yelpers can sing lol. Anyways it's a cool place to hang out and have some karaoke fun lol.

Yelp
Reasonably priced private karaoke rooms and a bar area with Karaoke. A Nikkei millennial favorite local hangout. I am in my 40s so I usually rent a booth but could see chillin in the bar 12 or more yrs ago. Song selection is limited or it would have gotten 5 stars from me.

Yelp
We were in the area and the group I was with had NEVER been to a karaoke place where you can rent your own room. We went during the day time. WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER. It looked like the place was trashed from the night before and whomever closed didn't want to clean it up so we had to wait for her to clean up the room before we could be seated - and she cleaned up ALL the rooms, then seated us, instead of cleaning 1 room and seating us in there. The buttons on the machine were all in Japanese and when we asked how to use it - she got really annoyed. I'm apparently the wrong asian. Sorry, I can't use google translate to figure out which button did what. The english songs all had cheesy videos (not the artist's music videos) which is to be expected so that wasn't so bad. There is NO song list - you just have to punch in the artist or song title - that's it. They have a very good selection of Japanese, not so much in Chinese or Korean =( The kitchen was closed (it was 2pm) so we had to figure out lunch on our own. We could bring food in but not drinks. They didn't offer free refills on sodas. I think she knew that we were annoyed with her attitude b/c she became a little nicer by the time we left. This place needs better customer service training and to staff at least 1 person in the kitchen. Also whomever closes should probably clean up b/c it's nasty seeing stacks of cups/mugs and old food just sitting on the tables. This place is super affordable and priced fairly. If the service went up then I'd think this place would do well.

Yelp
I love it here! Their song selection is HUDGE ranging from current to old English, Japanese, Korean, and even Tagalog songs! Their rooms also range from big to small (depending on your group obviously), overall its cheap but the food isn't. You can bring your own food though! Yeah I'll go back. I mean, I've been there twice already.
