DUI Suspect Crashes Through Torrance Karaoke Restaurant | Eater LA

"I saw security-camera footage showing a car collide into the empty front section of Astro Karaoke at 2212 Artesia Boulevard in Torrance early Wednesday morning after allegedly driving the wrong way down Artesia Boulevard, colliding with two other cars, mowing down a fire hydrant and striking a light pole before crashing into the building. Employees and karaoke customers were in the rear of the building, an employee said they saw the car's headlights move toward the building, and the owner said closing the business early that evening likely prevented many injuries; officials reported only the suspected driver was hurt—Torrance Police Lt. Steve Dajou identified him as Jose Ferrez of Federal Way, hospital workers said he was allegedly under the influence of PCP, and he will be charged with driving under the influence and reportedly has an outstanding warrant in Washington." - Mona Holmes
