Chez Loustic

"In one of the busiest parts of the Saint-Cyprien neighbourhood, this modern bistro has an industrial feel (aluminium piping, white brick walls, minimalist lighting) that makes for a convivial atmosphere! The pleasant terrace overlooking the square is a bonus. Trained by Christian Constant, the chef won us over with his generous fillet of sea bream on braised leeks, spinach cream and parsnip chips, and his poached peach and rhubarb with cardamom cream. Finely prepared market-fresh cuisine, even sensitive, and very healthily composed." - Michelin Inspector

Had family visiting and took them to Chez Loustic @chez_loustic, one of our favorite spots on the left bank in Saint-Cyprien, and once again it totally delivered! We were a group with a 2-year-old toddler, and they were super kind to provide a kids chair, which was a huge plus. The place was quiet, calm, and had AC (such a lifesaver in the summer). Service was top notch as always — food came out quickly, perfectly cooked, and warm, everything right on point. We had the rumsteak tataki with sweet potato purée and zucchini vierge, which was tender, fresh, and just full of flavor. The trout with creamy tomato polenta, white grapes, and fennel salad was light, vibrant, and summery, a real highlight. And we couldn’t skip dessert: tiramisu with pink biscuits, chocolate ganache, coffee, apricots, and fluffy cream — absolutely dreamy. They also have a great wine selection, which we always appreciate. Overall, every dish felt super well balanced, showcasing great fresh produce and skillful cooking. Light, tasty, and seriously satisfying. Such a chill, welcoming vibe that makes you want to come back again and again. Big love for this place! 💛

It’s happen to be one of my listed restaurant to visit during my stay in Toulouse, not too tradition French dish, not to modern, something in between old taste with new presentation. Good vibe and good hospitality tho!

Had high hopes given the good reviews but the lunch menu was just okay - nothing memorable. I had a version of tuna that was quite fishy (not fresh like the ocean), and I thought the accompaniments like guacamole that it was served with were a bit confusing.

Be sure to reserve a seat in advance, as it tends to get busy. We arrived exactly at 12:00 PM and were the first customers. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food presentation was impressive, though I was expecting more from the taste. For me, it was just okay. That said, the price was reasonable for the menu déjeuner. Let me know if you need further tweaks!

Very nice staff that tries to fulfill all wishes. Well defined menu with different choices on vegetarian, fish, and meat dishes. We had some extra wishes due to a pregnancy which were fixed by omitting one or two ingredients (and by that a bit of the experience unfortunately as well). Overall very good kitchen! Portions are quite small and prices are relatively high. Tables outside are directly in front of a heavy (but slow) traffic route with many other restaurants.

Took some friends visiting from Barcelona (2 adults + 2 kids) to Chez Loustic and it instantly became one of my fav spots in town. The table was ready when we arrived at 12:45 and the service was top-notch. I started with a seasonal artichoke velouté with radish, pickled onion, and a duck croquette—SO good. Then came the pork belly over creamy polenta and veggies... tender, flavorful, and that polenta? Next level. Ended with a peanut salted caramel riz au lait. Paired with a Côtes Catalanes red. Under €30 pp. Total win.
