"A hotel right beside a major college campus needs to have a restaurant that can satisfy students, faculty, visiting family, and neighborhood residents alike. Luckily, the AT&T Hotel near University of Texas at Austin can count its hotel restaurant as a crowdpleaser on all fronts. The team makes creative use of ingredients, such as pairing fried yam dumplings with scallops; serving a smoked Texas lamb leg with pozole verde; and pairing a New York strip from Dallas with black garlic, broccolini, and bordelaise. There are indoor dine-in services." - Taylor Tobin

In the heart of the UT campus, this hotel was centrally located for our stay in Austin! High end feeling, very clean, and beautiful common areas and restaurants downstairs. Rooms had black out curtains and sheers (roll down), tablets to set alarms and check the weather. Bathroom area was relatively small but very clean. Body wash and shampoo/conditioner pumps installed the the shower wall, so no small, wasteful bottles to deal with! Felt safe walking back from the Moody Center for a concert late at night, as many other hotel guests were walking back at the same time. Parking garage and valet available, which also felt safe. Overall great stay, would stay here again.

Stayed here for one night and it was nice and quiet. Got in late and the staff was very nice and accommodating. Front desk switched my room to a balcony, and the valet staff at night were nice and helpful, and Gavin was helpful this afternoon. We even got a late checkout. Would definitely stay here again!

Google
Beautiful hotel walking distance to the Moody Center. Room was nice and the air conditioning worked great! Parking of $21 night was very reasonable. Check in and check out went fast and the room was ready early. Had lunch at Gabriels and the food was delicious.

Google
Absolutely stunning property! Love the piped in scent throughout the facility, and from the moment you pull up to Valet, you are surrounded in luxury. The rooms are relatively nicely sized, full of amenities and super close to Gregory Gym, the Rec Center, and Moody. A must stay if you are attending any event or camp on the actual campus!

Google
Hotel rooms were very clean and cozy! They were able to reserve a connecting room for me while others only offered it upon availability! Hotel staff was very helpful and polite! Only thing I didn’t like was having to take 2 different elevators to access rooms and lobby/parking garage as it was very confusing at first. But other than that our stay was great and I would definitely book again!

Vonda Dyer

Google
Great stay. Gavin H at valet was so helpful. Coffe could be better in room and creamer at this level should be real and not powder. Amenities were fantastic otherwise. Recommend.

David X

Google
The rooms seemed small and lacking in amenities. Being part of the campus could be a plus or a minus depending on your POV. The location was still good as we were close to the Capitol. The staff made the difference in this location. Otherwise this location would have been average at best. The layout was confusing and took some getting used to.

Google
I had an excellent experience with valet attendant breyter at at&t hotel and conference center! They were professional, courteous, prompt, and handled my vehicle with great care. The service was prompt and efficient, making my visit smooth and stress-free. Highly recommended!

Yelp
My friend and I came in town for UT graduation. We got lost and ended up at your hotel. I ran into your employee Cody R. at the front of hotel. He was such a great help. He directed me and my friend to our restaurant as well as recommending other places to eat during our stay. I just want you to know what a wonderful employee he is to everyone, even people not staying at your hotel.

Yelp
A very convenient hotel if you're attending a conference at the AT&T conference centers but not a great hotel. Arrival: arrived by car, good valet service Check in: quick registration process Room (6076): Typical older hotel room. Working mini-refrigerator, little mini coffee maker, TV, etc. Bed: not the best bed, on the firm side. Average linens except with a few long-term stains. Sleep quality: Lots of noise between rooms. If you're a light sleeper, don't expect a restful night. Lots of plumbing noise between floors too. Bathroom: Adequate lighting and counter space. Hairdryer below average. Mediocre toiletries. Tub had a device installed that prevented using the tub for soaking. Room service: didn't try room service, but prices looked reasonable Service: Employees are nice and helpful Conference catering: Above average sandwiches and good coffee. Misc: super, super convenient if you're attending a conference at the AT&T conference center. Restaurant and bar inside the hotel too. Gabriel's has $6 happy hour drinks and a friendly staff.

Yelp
This hotel is on the UT campus. If you have business on the campus or attending a conference at the AT&T Conference, this is a convenient location, but sleep quality will vary based on occupancy. Free WIFI throughout so I was able to work in the lobby and in my room. Arrival: We arrived by car around 3pm and the young man that unloaded our car was spectacular. He was very quick, informative, and helpful. The young lady in the valet barely spoke to us. The lobby employees were lackluster. I had to ask questions about the hotel to get information. The young man that unloaded our car told us where the conference center was located since the lobby employees did not. Overall service is hit and miss. Mostly the front desk is where the most misses. The valet and front door staff work so hard! Room: We were on the 6th floor overlooking the center courtyard. It was a lovely view. The metal chain to work the blinds were broken on one side so I couldn't get them down the entire way, thank goodness they were the lighter blinds and not the darkening blinds. The room does have a safe, iron, ironing board, coffee maker, TV, bed, chair with ottoman, desk area. No luggage rack though, so had to put my luggage on the floor. I closed it after getting what I needed and plenty of space under TV to store luggage out of the way. The room is fairly clean but wouldn't recommend to walk bare foot. Everything in the room is showing wear and age and in need of a deep clean. The chair and ottoman needed a deep cleaning sooner than later, it was covered in stains. The desk and chair was nice to sit and do work. There is plenty of space for your laptop and files. The room has a King size bed and the website mentioned this is a pillow top bed. This is NOT a pillow top bed and the comfort of the bed was medium. THe pillows were flat. Now, here is where the sleep quality differs. We had two nights here for a conference. The walls are paper thin. You can hear everything around you, but the first night we apparently had nobody around us. The hallways noise stopped and we slept great. The next time we had people around us and you could hear everything... the conversations, TVs, phone conversations, hall conversations. When our neighbor flushed the toilet, you heard water running down the pipes and our sink made gurgling noises. If someone got in the shower, that was the worse, we did not get a good night sleep the last night here. Sleep quality based on occupancy of hotel and how many guests are around you. Bathroom: There is a tub/shower combo, but there is no stopper so you cannot soak in the tub. The shower head has very bad pressure, but at least the water gets hot. The shower ceiling is quite low so it does seem a bit tight. The lighting is a bit dark. The sink is on the outside of the bathroom. There is a hair dryer. The sink is a good height. Lighting in sink area is decent to apply makeup. Gym: There is a nice gym onsite that has a bit of everything and even a nice outdoor pool. Conference Area: very nice in the other side of the building. I could not figure out how to get to the other side without walking in the open area. The first day it was drizzling and I got wet.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The accommodations were nice, with a very comfortable bed and a Tower view.My only complaint regarding the room was the shower. It was very small. For reference, my husband is 6'5" and found the shower usable, but strange for such a nice room. We also dined at the Carillon for Breakfast and Dinner. The ambiance and food selections were nice. The customer service was excellent! Shout out to Elliot, the manager, who took good care of us!! Not only was he present during our dining experience, but he was at the bar, Gabriel's, when we returned for an evening nightcap. Even though the kitchen was closed, he sent out chips and salsa to accompany our drinks, made by Tess--one of the best Old Fashions that I've tasted. Additionally, our servers, Sandy, Benjamin, and Frankie were also great. I did find the some of the breakfast buffet items lacking in flavor. Specifically, the pancakes were burnt, eggs overcooked, and sausage was just ok. Despite the few unfavorable points mentioned above, I would definitely come back for the service, dinner, and drinks!.

Yelp
This hotel is on campus of University of Texas. I am here for a conference and the meetings take place in the conference room of the hotel. Check-in process is smooth and fast. I have a king size bed room, and it is very clean and neat. They provide body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion! This is something important for me as I do not want to bring my own when I am Trying to travel light. Staff set up meeting room with camera, great technology! They also refilled breakfast items in the morning, as well as snacks and drinks in The afternoon. I enjoyed my stay and my meetings in this hotel. It is located in a very safe area, and it is very easy to walk to different places.

Yelp
Comfy room. Fantastic sleep. Enjoyable happy hour at Gabriel's Cafe on the patio. Helpful staff. Right on UT Campus. Clean. Coffee in room was not too bad.

Yelp
It's always a pleasure to stay at this hotel. This hotel is cleaning. Well situated not too far from downtown Austin. The hotel has few restaurant inside with good food. My room had a balcony . This is not my first time and won't be my last time

Neleh H.

Yelp
Really convenient stay - king room was spacious & very clean. Being at UT was lovely & it was a short walk to shops & good eats on Guadalupe street. Longer walk to downtown but doable also. Landscaping & decor has personality, very comfy. The snacks & food prepped for our meeting / conference room were definitely better quality than most hotels. Great selection, AV equipment & everything was great for a hybrid meeting. Staff were all super welcoming. I think they really appreciated having folks there during all these omicron cancellations. Gabriel's cafe was absolutely delicious. Gym was a bit small but sufficient for after meeting work out & it's too bad it was too cold to jump in the pool. BTW weather is whack- 77 degrees the day I arrived & below 40 the morning I left. Walls are a bit thin I could hear my loud ass neighbors come back late at night. Some rooms have a nice university view- I oversaw a TCBY yogurt shop lol but good light in the morning. A bit surprised at how open it is- meaning one can access elevator or enter from garage w out key card. Also Parking $21 a day. Overall a much more pleasant stay than the usual conference/ meeting experience.

Yelp
This property is rated four-stars online, but it is definitely a five-star hotel in my book. I stayed here back in 2019, loved it, and decided to book again on my trip to Austin this weekend. Everything and everyone was/were first-class. I don't remember all of the names, but a shout-out to Bryan on phone, Thomas the valet/doorman, and Toni at the front desk. I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to ATX.

Yelp
Dirty hotel. Had to move two rooms. First smelt like pot. The second, sheets were dirty and there were sexual stains in the walls in the bathroom. Then the fire alarm went off at 8am. Management wouldn't refund or do anything for the inconvenience. Do not book here. There are other hotels. Keep Looking.

Shaikenya W.

Yelp
Very clean! Executive...Will stay again! Love the location and proximity to the airport. Design with clean lines and views of the inner courtyard.

Yelp
I came here for a work retreat to meet with the core leaders of the organizations I work for. The hotel was very clean and spacious for one person. There were excellent amenities, and I loved the areas that they had inside the building when you walk out of the elevator that goes to the hotel rooms. There is a lovely cafe downstairs with green scenery space outside, and it was a great short walk across to the building where there's an office my organization works. I'd be happy to use this hotel again if I were to travel to meet with my core team.

Yelp
This hotel is in a great location if you want to be close to downtown and surrounded by things to do. It's right on UT's campus, so there are a lot of young people around. But I think it is probably all the nicer for that because it is safe, clean and modern. The main lobby is one floor up from the street level (not necessarily inconvenient, but it's a cool touch). There is an artisanal gift shop as well as a small coffee shop on one of the wings, though both were closed. The pool is a decent size but it's on the street level right on a busy road with just a fence and partial wall separating the two, so it can be noisy and not super private. Plus the chairs are hard as a rock and not super comfortable for lounging. The gym is also a nice size with a lot of equipment. The guest rooms (and hotel in general) have a cozy and iconically Texan aesthetic. Lots of warm wooden accents but also contemporary and well designed. They even have balconies overlooking the courtyard in the rooms adjacent to it. My favorite thing about staying at hotels is actually getting out of the hotels and exploring the area. Just a couple blocks away is Guadalupe St. which has TONS to offer, and the whole area is full of diverse restaurants, stores, bars, etc. I only wish I were staying here longer so I could try more of the restaurants around, but that will give me something to look forward to! The bed and pillows were very comfortable and I felt very relaxed here. The rooms also come with a mini fridge, but TV and a longhorns monogrammed bath robe. Not a bad place to stay if you're in town!

Grant I.

Yelp
Hotel is very clean. Very nice area. Short walk onto the UT campus. Like many hotels during this pandemic, service has suffered. No daily room visits unless requested. And even after a request - all we received were fresh towels and toiletries. First world problems I suppose. But if my service is reduced, it's be nice if fees were also reduced :) Ah. Something else to consider. The Wi-Fi here is free but slow and insecure. I wasn't given an option to pay for a faster one but I do see there are different options available. Maybe the MBA students have priority? I'll try to find out before I check out.

Yelp
I spent a long weekend here in January. It is conveniently located very close to campus, a Target, and many food options. What I liked: The hotel lobby and room had nice decorations, and a bar on the first floor. The room itself was very spacious, possibly because we got a corner room. Our room overlooked a nice interior courtyard, with string lights turning on at night above some outdoor seating. What I didn't like: The hotel lobby is on the second floor and it's a long walk to the elevators to access the rooms. I felt like they put us in the furthest corner from the elevators as well. The conference center hallways were adjacent to our building and slightly above our room so people could look in if we didn't close the shades. Luckily it didn't appear to be used during our stay so we kept the shades open. The toilet handle was also a bit tricky at times. For the price we paid, this was a good deal in a nice hotel. However, we really liked Rainey Street and I would probably pick a hotel closer to that area next time.

Brittney K.

Yelp
I have stayed at this hotel since around 2016. This hotel is charming and quaint. The rooms are comfortable, and this hotel offers a nice selection of dining choices with good food! There are also many restaurants within walking distance. I wish I could give half stars because I would have given this hotel 3.5 stars, however on the last visit, I was in my room, and it was the late morning/early afternoon, I was talking on my cell phone, sitting on the bed when a hotel employee just barged into my room. I heard them coming in and was like, Hey, what's going on. Mind you; there was no knock at my door, no one identified themselves as they entered my room, nothing. When the man who entered my room saw that I was inside, he attempted to apologize, but too little too late. I am not sure what the procedure is, and I'm sure that my event is not the norm, with someone from the hotel not knocking or attempting to identify themselves, but it is unacceptable hence the three-star rating.

Yelp
The AT&T Conference Center is open normally Monday through Friday. During SXSWedu, General Assembly held a bunch of free courses/lectures during the weekend of March 11th. I checked out a couple of these and peeped out the building. It's associated with UT. There is an entrance on MLK Jr. near where Lavaca intersects. That's where most of the people I saw entered the building. General Assembly arranged for coffee and tea for participants. The Center serves them in ceramic cups, which I thought was good because so many places uses paper cups that just get thrown in the trash. The conference room where my free course was held had tiered, theater seating. The row seats were classroom chairs with a movable writing table. They were comfortable. The acoustics in the room were good, so our teacher did not need a microphone. The A/V system was good, as well (fast internet, solid projector, etc.). The only con for the facility was the HVAC system because it was freezing inside (and I'm a person who usually likes cooler temperatures). The center also provided free writing pads and pens. It's also close to public transportation, as well. Overall, it's a nice venue for events and conferences.

Amber S.

Yelp
We booked a single king room for 1 night through VerifyPass for $132. This place deserves 5 stars for that price, but I might deduct a star for value if I was paying the normal price. The building is beautiful and in a fantastic location (right in front of the UT Tower). I definitely felt like I was walking through a 4-star hotel, and it seemed to have a lot of history, which we liked. We didn't get to explore much of the place, as we were mostly in our room or out and about, but I'm sure it would have been impressive! The construction is beautiful with the floor-to-ceiling windows and 7th floor view of the UT Tower. However, I felt like the room showed some wear. In particular, the shower looked a bit older, and the shower head pressure was rather inconsistent/weak. I thought it was cool that there was an iPad through which we could see reservation details and ask questions. The bed was comfortable as well. Overall a great stay!

Lexi S.

Yelp
if i could give zero stars or negative stars i would because it doesn't even deserve 1. i cannot put into words how much disbelief i experienced within one day of staying at this hotel. this is the absolute worst hotel i have ever stayed at. i would never ever recommend this hotel to anyone and i hope this hotel suffers and never succeeds. they deserve nothing in all honesty. larry was the only positive in this hotel. he was a great doorman and helped take all of our belongings to our room. without larry, this hotel would be shit.

Carl G.

Yelp
Really clean, surprisingly nice. Love the vibe. Was worried it would be a kind of stale, typical "business-y" type place to stay but it was just the opposite. Modern and fresh, with a nice Texas touch.

Benoy S.

Yelp
Stayed here a total of 3 nights on two separate weekends during my time in Texas. Both times I was met with amazing service, and there is no place I would rather stay when I am in Austin. The hotel is close to downtown and on the edge (I think) of UT's very large campus. You're walking distance from many restaurants/bars as well as other attractions such as Texas Memorial Museum. The hotel room is large, clean, and spacious. The staff was courteous and was willing to help with anything I asked for. Parking is $18 a day, which isn't bad for downtown Austin, and you have free access to your car in the garage. Uber rides are not expensive to downtown either. The hotel as a whole is gorgeous, and I would definitely recommend for larger events. They have a large garden courtyard as well as a small Univ. Texas gift shop. I purchased this hotel room for a steal through another vendor, but even at original price I would have felt the same way. I look forward to my next visit, next time I'm in Austin!

Ellen M.

Yelp
I really like this place! Been multiple times. Like the relaxed ambiance and the food is very good. They sometimes have a multi-course dinner for a fixed price.

Sunil R.

Yelp
Very good hotel right by the UT campus. Convenient underground parking especially when the temps soar. The name threw me off initially... turns out it is owned by the University and ATT paid to have their name included. I have heard that UT is great at raising money and this is another example. Really good gym and one of the rare hotel ones that has free weights. Good restaurant options too. I have enjoyed my stays here.

Robert B.

Yelp
My wife and I were looking to stay somewhere in downtown Austin for our 30th wedding anniversary. I forget exactly how we wound up finding this location, but I made a reservation despite the name seeming a bit non-traditional for a hotel. The location caught my eye, being on the campus at UT. I have never been to UT before, but have been to Austin many times. I told them of our 30th anniversary trip when I made the reservations. We pulled up to the valet, nice friendly and efficient staff helped us inside. The initial impression is rather different as there are two large symmetrical stairs heading up to a mezzanine type place. A huge UT symbol emblazons the wall. We took the elevator up to the desk. The gentleman at the desk welcomed us by name and shared that they were giving us a free upgrade because we are celebrating our anniversary. He mentioned there was a gift waiting for us in the room. When we walked into our room, we were stunned, absolutely floored. They gave us their premier suite that is nearly as big as our tiny home. The balcony runs the length of the suite and one can view the state Capitol on one side and the infamous/famous tower on the other. We stood in awe as this is well above our normal means. The gift on the table was a nice hand written card welcoming us, with a bottle of cold bubbly, hand made fruits dipped in chocolate, and a really unique gift: a cowhide picture frame! Very original and thoughtful. The suite itself was just as amazing as one could ask for. Plush, spacious, and over the top. We didn't spend much time inside, as the view outside was so spectacular. A knock was heard on our door; in walks a gentlemen with a large fruit basket of some of the sweetest best freshest fruit we have had in a long time. Impressive. On the house, he said! We planted our happy butts down on that balcony/patio and spent nearly 24 hours just gazing at the stunning view. We left long enough to go downstairs to their grill and enjoy some drinks and excellent food. We ordered room service for breakfast, which I have to say was simply excellent. I don't know if we could ever go back and stay in one of their "normal" rooms after experiencing the premier suite. It is simply stunning. The pricing overall is a bit out of our normal range, but certainly will be kept in mind for very special occasions! Thank you for such an amazing experience! They did not have to roll out the red carpet for us, but they certainly chose to do so. We will never be able to say "thank you" enough and will hold this memory special to us.

Ryan S.

Yelp
As someone that has traveled 50% to 75% of the year for the at least the past 8 years. I will say the management at this hotel is in the bottom 2%. I would never book at this hotel again. Stores and restaurants are always randomly closed. The cleaning service is vey poor!!, and you have to request cleaning each day after 9 AM. I am all about UT by even associating this AT&T hotel with UT is very disappointing. If you expect a good trip and can stay at any other place I would strongly encourage you to do so. This hotel was the worst part about Austin and UT.

Carlos G.

Yelp
Overall - nice hotel and great location. PROS - the team here is very accommodating and responsive to your needs. Service does not fall short here. The location is also great - near campus, a Target, and downtown. Overall, it's a beautiful, well-kept property. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and stocked with nice amenities and touches. I enjoyed a nice breakfast on my last morning at the Gabriel Cafe. Good food overall. CONS - small restrooms, the lobby on the second floor is a little inconvenient, especially if you have children and are arriving late. Room service also ends at 8:00 PM - which could be because of COVID. Fortunately, there are several food options nearby, but all mostly fast food. When or if I have business near the university, this is definitely a great option.

Rexie B.

Yelp
Wow. I'm a flight attendant and have to say, this is just a phenomenal hotel. The staff, the amenities, it's all pure luxury. The location is fantastic - adjacent to campus and around many bars and restaurants. The hotel itself is beautiful and dine in a rustic/Masculine ranch style. It has cute gift shop with many UT themed items, a great coffee bar , nice pool and great fitness. I didn't eat at Gabriel's but I'm sure it lives up to the rest of the hotel. Rooms are spotless with tasteful decor with clean lines. Overall, one of my new favorite hotels!

Dan K.

Yelp
I've been at the AT&T conference center a number of times for conferences of sorts. The food is generally good for a conference center. We had sandwiches, veggie wraps and salads with chips and drinks. The bread is lacking and what should be crusty is soft. The facilities / meeting rooms are well equipped with nice big tables and comfortable chairs. Power is nice at hideaway pods for every two seats. Also the stadium seating gives a clear view of the whiteboards and projector screens. If you have to be in or schedule a conference, there are definitely worse places to do so. Oh. And free and easy-to-hook-up wifi with good reception! I look forward to checking out the Carrillon restaurant which looks good.

Hussam A.

Yelp
Hotel Looks nice. In the bathroom I found hair. DISGUSTING. And I found a NEEDLE on the floor. THE NEXT day the cleaning staff tries to the room twice. First, they nocked, the second time they just let themselves in!!!! While we are getting dresses. I got the room from priceline and boy did they step up, NOT, they didn't do anything.... They take your hard earned money in exchange you get crap

Lavenia W.

Yelp
Front desk was accommodating and beautiful property by the university. Room setting was cozy, but our fridge was broken, we called operator and no answer then the direct tv was down. For what we paid it was a tad disappointment.

Larry C.

Yelp
Stopped in to stay here for the night in Austin, which is literally located on campus so close to the drag and areas of UT campus but 8-10 minute Uber ride to 6th street. Upgraded to balcony view of the campus which was nice to have!! Rooms are relatively spacious but bathrooms are small, shower without a tub but water pressure is strong and good water softener.

Zac U.

Yelp
It's a dang shame other had crummy experiences here because mine was great. The concierge staff was excellent, as well as the housekeeping team. Every room has a tablet to place room service orders--or even request a tube of Crest toothpaste, which will arrive to your room in ten minutes. Now that's prompt 21st century service. The restaurants on location have just about everything you'd want. Gabriel's is the more affordable option. They even have drink specials each night of the week. My only real issue here is the parking... not the best.

Renne J.

Yelp
I visited Austin for a conference for 3 days and this hotel did not disappoint at all. I read this was a 4 star hotel and I can see why this hotel is highly rated through the customer service, the room service and and conference planning. The hotel sits on the University of Texas at Austin campus so we were walking distance of many restaurants and shops. The hotel staff was very helpful with transportation assistance and wake-up calls. The food was great with healthy options to choose from (Vegan meals). I would definitely return when I visit Austin again.

Nina J.

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The service was great. The staff here was excellent. They were warm, friendly and made our stay that much more enjoyable. The hotel isvery nice and the rooms were neat and clean. The room was average size and well organized. Now the bathroom was a bit on the small side but that wasn't a big deal for me. The bed was also pretty comfortable. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay here and we'd definitely stay here again.

Earlene L.

Yelp
This hotel is far from a four star. It's more like a Motel 6 on steroids, so maybe a 2 1/2 star.

Brian G.

Yelp
Valets are awesome, I ran them around a fews today and they were happy help. Check in was super fast and room is nice. They have a snack and coke machine down a few long hallways. Nice variety of snacks for $1.25. If you only have a $5 and put in the coke machine, it will begin to sound like Vegas as you get $3 in quarters back in return. I had to buy more snacks with the change so much shorts didn't get pulled down from the weight. Overall nice hotel for being in Austin. They just need a mini bar in each room.

Yelp
I accompanied my wife down to Austin for her company's annual meeting at the AT&T Executive Conference Center. What an incredible facility. It's located on the UT campus and right in the middle of downtown Austin where all the "action" is. The check-in process was so professional and quick. Our room was beautiful and had a balcony over looking downtown Austin. The company's Friday night buffet/mixer had a wonderful assortment of salads, sides and protein entrees. The hotel's carnitas were delicious and tender. But the star of the show was the salmon. Oh my gosh, I ended up having seconds and thirds. Normally on a buffet the food isn't that good, but this time it was. The staff of the conference center is very professional and greets you warmly every time they pass. I was extremely impressed with the facility. One nice plus since AT&T is a sponsor and their name is on the center, there's free WiFi throughout the campus. Our room amenities were nice. I really liked the walk-in shower. Our king sized bed was just the right firmness for a sound nigh's sleep.

Yelp
I've hosted multiple events here and they've all gone flawlessly! I am so impressed with the quality of the event staff, design, and the food. All our guests always give us compliments on the food. Kara and Lauri are extremely helpful and are always so accommodating. I love having people that I can go to for events and trust that everything will turn out how we need it to. Very professional waitstaff. Will be back for our next event!

Yelp
We started coming here when our daughter attended UT. We love the staff and the rooms. It's convenient to stay for football games and the bar is a nice spot to relax. Great front desk personnel and they were kind enough to offer us a late check out since it was our anniversary. They actually sent up chocolate strawberries and champagne to our room. They will remember your name if you approach the desk after ck in. A really nice place to stay while in Austin.

Yelp
As far as a location for an educational meeting, this location is great. Amphitheater style lecture halls with power sources for the smaller classrooms. Definitely cool. I did not attend any sessions in the smaller breakout rooms, but I liked the setup of the classrooms. The hotel rooms are really convenient to the conference side so that is a plus. The hotel rooms were good but not unique. The catered food. Our event contracted with them for all three meals plus snacks for our conference. We had them do barbecue for one night and all the dishes served at that event were really well done. The breakfasts were lacking. I'm pretty sure those are not real eggs. Hotel rooms were standard. Nothing exceptional, but by no means bad. I would have an educational conference here.

Yelp
My reservation was for 3 pm. I got here at 4 with my partner. They wouldn't let me leave my car to check in unless I turned over my keys. They wouldn't let me load a cart myself, but insisted on "assisting" us even though nobody was there initially to do it. Then they wouldn't let me take the cart they loaded up to the check in area and I didn't want to be separated from my stuff, so we had to pile it all up on our shoulders to go check in - where there was a long line. Once I checked in, I discovered they do not validate parking. So that will be another $18. And the room was not ready so here I am am at 4:30 waiting for a room still with all my stuff piled around me. My partner has a headache and would like to lie down. We were offered a single drink to offset the inconvenience, but the bar is on a different floor and it's not convenient to lug our stuff from floor to floor without a luggage cart. The staff has been friendly but so far the experience has been frustrating and I haven't even gotten to get a key or put my luggage down yet. Update 1: it's 5:11 pm and we are still waiting. The bar was pleasant, but we would like our room. We are tired. No update yet on when the room will be available.

Yelp
This hidden gem in UT campus is amazing, from check in to check out you'll be wowed. They have great in-house restaurants available (The Carillion, Gabriel's) and wonderful little coffee cafe (Cafe 125) that offers a good grab n go selection for breakfast, and the barista (Greg) is great, plus he's handsome, so that's a bonus. Business or personal trip, look into a stay here. You won't be disappointed

Yelp
After deciding to add a night to a weekend getaway, my boyfriend and I booked an Express Deal on Priceline for the 4 star downtown option. We were happy to be booked at the AT&T. We have stayed at this hotel before for ACL and love the great location and the comfy, luxurious feeling of the hotel. No complaints except when checking in, the front desk lady was very short and rude. I was not excited to see her again in the morning for checkout. No point in valeting your car if you don't mind a 3 minute walk... always can find great parking by the elevator and is only $18 a night! Overall, we love this hotel and will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
We stayed here for a three day on site conference. Everything was phenomenal from the valets to the service desk to the rooms. The restaurants and bars to the gift shop; everyone we encountered was absolutely fantastic and very helpful. Gregory at One Twenty 5 Cafe, Jessica in the gift shop and Keith at Gabriel's are hands down three of the best employees you have and exemplify everything that is customer service with a smile. We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
As an event planner, I've worked with a lot of venues. Some venues put on a good effort and show of being committed to excellence and customer service. But there is a distinct difference between that and a community of employees committed to keeping the spirit of excellence and service alive. The people that run and staff the AT&T Conference Center are the real deal. How do I know? Because in every interaction I have had, there is a human being listening attentively and genuinely interested in what I need. That's company culture, and it takes something special to create that kind of environment. I have worked with AT&T Conference Center in a number of capacities. I have attended conferences there. I have worked on an event held there. I have also worked with their staff in a food waste prevention and recovery project. And by the way, for a hotel of its size, they have an extraordinary waste diversion rate. I have even had the pleasure of meeting the GM, who is as authentic as they come. What I can tell you is this: the AT&T conference center is a great resource for Austin, and I would recommend them to anyone.

Yelp
It looks nice on the outside however the customer service is mediocre at best. The front desk considers they are doing you a favor by serving you. The walls here are paper thin. I could hear the telephone conversation from the guest in the room next door. My daughter thought I left our room door open because she could hear their conversation so clearly. The pipes in the shower "groan" when you are using the hot water. The sheets are scratchy and the view from the sixth floor is terrible. We got a lovely view of the dirty flat roof. The pool is small and there isn't a bar service there. We normally stay at the Hyatt or Radisson in downtown Austin. I'm mad at myself for giving this place a try - NEVER AGAIN. There are plenty of hotels in downtown Austin that you do not need to experience this one.

Yelp
Okay, this review is for the actual lodging services of the AT&T Center. I did utilize the actual conference center for my meetings but other than the rooms being 42 below zero, it's a nice conference center - definitely need more women's restrooms though! So. I was expecting a little bit more of a WOW factor staying here. Other than the convenience of being right upstairs from where my meetings were taking place, there isn't much that I can turn cartwheels for! Granted, the service is excellent! From the bellhops to the concierge...everyone that worked here was very attentive and quickly assisted me whenever I needed anything. I can be a very needy and picky person (when I'm traveling) and they didn't fail me in that aspect. Had an issue with the radio in my room not working with my iPhone and they fixed it quickly. My room wasn't ready when I got there at butt-crack of dawn but when it was ready they brought my bags up and had them waiting in the room for me. Things like that, I love. For $249 a night I want a fridge & microwave in my room...and a bathroom that I can stretch and not hit my elbow on the wall. The bathroom was tiny ya'll...like seriously tiny...and the toilet had the loudest and most powerful flush ever...every time I flushed the toilet, I jumped back because it was so frightening. LOL...yeah, the little details perturb me. I ordered room service the first night - $35 for chicken that didn't have two shakes of seasoning on it. "Smashed potatoes" that were just potatoes that were cooked but they didn't feel like adding milk and butter to make mashed potatoes...no complaints about the broccoli...I like broccoli :-) Learned my lesson there, the next few days I was there I went out to eat...lol. If you have a conference/meeting here, the convenience and service are perfect...but if you don't really care about that, there are plenty of places in the area that are in walking distance that could give you a little more bang for your buck!

Yelp
Superb location, dining, and service Was in Austin for a work event and was booked at the AT&T. It's on the edge of the UT campus, the capital is nearby, and downtown is a nice 2-mile walk. Check-in was smooth, service staff are very friendly, rooms are well-appointed and clean, and the eating options are top-notch. The hotel amenities are great, as well-- high-speed wifi was included, pool is nice, good workout room, and it's a LEED building. Literally the only things keeping me from marking this a five-star experience are (1) some noise through the walls and (2) missing high-end amenities and attentiveness. But, it's very close to that 5th star.

Yelp
I too got this place through Hotwire, for really cheap too $120 a night plus $16 a day for self park ( in / out OK). It was really nice. The rooms were clean, the sheets were nice, the beds comfy. The shower was meh, the quality of shower head does not match the rest of the hotel, at all. It WAS a quiet place to stay until some obnoxious girls decided to trapeze down the hallway at 3am, but that's no fault of the hotel. Since this is sponsored (?) by AT&T you get to mess around with the U-verse system. Every room has a box and a router (kind of amazing). The internet is free and fast enough to watch HD Netflix on your ipad. Huge downside is -- you will have BRIGHT BLUE glowing in your face while you sleep. The TV and the cable box are just omg, obnoxiously bright. Over all, great location, nice rooms, free internet -- I'd stay here again.

Yelp
Not too bad for a hotel and conference center. Food was pretty good, although missed a true hot breakfast. Lunches/snacks that were provided were quite good and the rooms were pretty good as far as quiet for being able to sleep. Bathrooms in the common areas were a little limited. It was a little creepy I have to say to have a big bay window with the UT Tower right in the center of it, especially when it was backlit crimson red. Overall, I would stay here again, some other places nearby if you want to grab a bite or whatnot.
