Atelier Casa de Comidas

"Located just a few metres from its former location but now with more space, this culinary “workshop” has a fresh, bright and neighbourly feel as well as an eclectic functionality that includes a completely open-view kitchen behind the serving station. Raúl Sierra, the highly enthusiastic chef at the helm, focuses on contemporary cuisine that continues to showcase Andalucian flavours and modern techniques with a nod to other countries and meticulous presentation. The à la carte, which features the restaurant’s classic dishes, is complemented by a tasting menu with a continual emphasis on seasonal products." - Michelin Inspector

This was one of my absolute top highlights of Granada. It was recommended by a friend in Seville and I’m glad I booked, and did the tasting menu. At €55, this is such excellent value for an exceptionally wonderful, delicious, perfectly balanced tasting menu. The flavours pack such a punch and you aren’t hungry after! I loved every bite and would come back to Granada, just for this! I normally can’t enjoy taster menus because restaurants don’t often accommodate for nut allergy sufferers. Here, the chefs and wait staff went out of their way to remove any nutty ingredients and made slight variations of the menu so I could fully enjoy it. It was such thoughtful and kind service and I was really appreciative of their extra efforts. The staff and service were also professional, friendly and informative. I sat at the bar and got to see all the dishes being put together, it was fantastic. Absolute world class, can only rave about this. Thank you for such a fab dining experience!

Amazing place! We ordered from the à la carte menu and everything was fantastic. If you want the tasting menu you need to book it in advance. Service was excellent and the sommelier chose some good and interesting wines for us. Will definitely come back for the tasting menu.

Granada is not known as neither a fine dining or food destination, so I had low expectations in advance. But wow, this is one of the most interesting and delicious tasting menus I had at this price point in Spain. Definitively deserve to get back their bib gourmand award from previous years. Special mention of watermelon soaked in beef fat, white prawn canneloni and deer coulant. These exceeds many dishes I’ve had in several starred restaurants in Andalucia. Only setback was the explanations from waitress, which were hurried and with an accented english. Would have appreciated receiving the meny in advance.

As a chef I cannot fault this place. Local wines. Passion from the kitchen. Unbelievable value. 5 stars without hesitation

Our best meal in Granada. Saw some dishes on menu that looked great, but they had a pigtails jus and others served with beef jus etc. I advised the waiting staff we were pescatarian and they said no problem, they got those elements replaced. Excellent. Highlight was the rice pudding desert. Superb!

Very cozy, small restaurant with excellent service and attention to detail. We tried their seasonal tasting menu and loved it. The dishes were elaborate with complex and unusual flavors, made from local ingredients. Watching the food being prepared at the bar counter was enjoyable. We wish we had one more night in Granada to experience the rest of the menu, as everything looked so delicious. Big appreciation for the chef and the whole team.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Atelier Casa de Comidas, an upscale establishment known for its innovative cuisine. Overall, my experience was delightful. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly greeted and ushered to our table. The staff was knowledgeable and guided us through the menu, offering insightful recommendations. We ordered a taste menu. But as far as I understood, you need to inform the restaurant before if you want to get a taste menu. We liked the taste menu in general. 55 euro for the taste menu was also not too much considering the number of courses. However, while I appreciated the complexity of the dishes, some combinations felt a bit overwhelming. The flavors were ambitious and innovative, but at times, they seemed to compete rather than complement each other. This made the dining experience slightly confusing and detracted from an otherwise exceptional meal. Despite this minor critique, I would still highly recommend this restaurant for those seeking a memorable fine dining experience.

We managed to make a reservation on a weekday at 830pm. When we arrived it was empty but soon it was filled out which shows how popular it is despite being outside the city center. We went with the standard 8 course which costs just 55 euros which is a steal for a Michelin star place. I was surprised at how many ‘main’ dish they had, definitely not complaining. I enjoyed the barramundi dish in particular which was served alongside an eggplant side. The onion soup was strange for me as it was served with cow snout which is a texture I’ve never had. I also had prefer there would be more flavored broth however the one they used are usually the clear ones that isn’t very strong in flavor, perhaps a style unique for this place. I certainly felt the dessert was a slight letdown, while it tried to bring out the essence of Granada and blending in elements of Muslim spices, I felt it made the dish very complex and unenjoyable as the tastes and tastier didn’t compliment each other. Otherwise, I can’t fault them for anything else in terms of presentation, tastes, service, quality and price. Definitely worth to check it out when in Granada but ensure you reserve in advance to avoid disappointment!
