"The restaurant of the Bayerischer Hof hotel is as remarkable as ever. With its predominance of chic grey tones, it is reminiscent of an artist's studio, and the decor is highly tasteful down to the last detail. A charming front-of-house team operates in Axel Vervoordt's discreetly luxurious interior: young, upbeat and anything but stuffy, they really pull out all the stops and are always on hand! The cuisine is conjured up by head chef Anton Gschwendtner and his team. A modern blend of Asian influences, it draws on Mediterranean and regional ingredients of outstanding quality. Notable examples include the exquisite Japanese hamachi with its extremely thin miso-ponzu coating or the succulent, tender saddle of venison from Gutshof Polting, roasted to the perfect shade of pink and served with aromatic chanterelles and a buttery celeriac puree, a bold chervil beurre blanc and a glorious venison jus made with Chartreuse. The wine list is wonderful and extensive – the wines served by the glass complement the set menus beautifully." - Michelin Inspector

We decided to end our visit in Munich with an amazing food experience choosing to dine at Atelier. Chef Anton Gschwendtner and his staff will provide you with an incredible culinary experience. From start to finish, the service, atmosphere, and food are truly impressive. Thank you, Chef Anton and staff, for the wonderful experience.

I’ve eaten at a lot of places around the world, and I can say with sincerity this may be the best dining experience I’ve ever had. Fantastic service, great food, fresh, light, just all around an awesome night. Would love to go back again!

When you visit a restaurant with a Michelin star rating, you have some expectations. Usually, we have too high expectations and are often disappointed by the food or service that is not good enough for the price. This restaurant is different. You will stick to the basics from start to finish, but focus on every dish. When eating a course meal, it often gets boring toward the end when the food's storytelling or variety is lacking. But this restaurant injected tension into every dish. There was never a dull moment. I believe chef has abundant experience with international cousins and applies freely to his delicately prepared dish. Also, Wine pairing was so special. Personally, I haven't had much experience with German wine, so it may be a novelty for me, but it matches perfectly with the food. If I ever visit Munich again, I'll be sure to come back here to this restaurant.

We were in Munich Germany to celebrate my brother-in-law’s 30th birthday at Oktoberfest. After two days of debauchery, we thought we would spend some time doing what we love doing most, eating at some of the finest restaurants in the world. Atelier was an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment we walked in, the ambience, the service, and not to mention the food was phenomenal. we even threw the staff and the chef a curveball where one of our guests on our reservation is vegetarian and apparently they were not aware. They pivoted extremely quickly and were able to accommodate with no problem. Each bite was incredible and we would highly recommend anyone who is taking the Michelin star journey to try this place out because it is a must. Hats off and compliments to the chef.

We celebrated my husband’s 35th birthday last night in Atelier. We went for the 7 course meal with wine pairing. The food was absolutely delicious! Every item was distinctively different from the other. The sauces were the soul of the dishes, adding different dimension to the dishes. When we arrived we were offered Champagne, with some Amuse-bouche. Then we had an amazing tomato butter with fresh bread. And then we moved to the tasting menu. Yes definitely a pocket pinching experience. And every single additional item adds to the bill. The 7 course tasting menu was 275 Eur. Wine Pairing was an additional 137 eur. But, it’s one of the most popular restaurants in Munich and features in World’s top restaurants list. My Husband got a special cake from the chef. Thank you so much Chef Auton for this gesture! Our evening was very special!

Most likely the best food experience in our life... Again! This is the second time we are lucky enough to enjoy the fabulous food of the chef Gschwendtner. Please, be aware, this is not your next door restaurant! Every bite is a wonder and is only outperformed by the next one. All different proteins (fish, octopus, poultry, etc) were extremely well handled (cooked or raw but marinated/seasoned). The wine which was suggested by the sommelier (Pouilly-Fuissé) sure went well with our different plates. If only I were a Michelin reviewer...

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Atelier and would greatly recommend stoping by if you live in München or are just visiting. It is a two-star Michelin Restaurant and is in a closed off room which gives it a more inclusive feeling adding to the atmosphere of the place. The service was very good, the staff treated us wonderfully and operated professionally. The food was definitely delicious with three different options in courses, 5, 6, and 7. My party took the 7 course menu and it did not disappoint. Everything on the menu at least tasted good. There was nothing that gave off a negative flavor. This place is definitely worth a visit and please stop by if you can, the 7 course menu is €275 and the 6 course is €265. So it would be a waste not to try the 7 course.
