On the Grid : Atelier September

"Atelier September has got to be one of the most beautiful cafés in Copenhagen. It's mostly danish organic rye bread - open faced sandwiches, yoghurt, croissant. Breakfast, lunch and early dinner. Open from 8 am until 6 pm Monday through Saturday." - WAAITT

The 38 Best Restaurants in Copenhagen, Denmark | Eater

"Atelier September relocated to a new location in Indre By, the city center, but continues to serve up some of the city’s best breakfast, including the famous avocado toast. The beautiful cafe, run by Frederik Bille Brahe, serves as a home away from home for stylish Copenhageners. They go to Atelier September to catch up with friends over mugs of matcha, plates of sliced rye bread and Comté, and sourdough croissants. Atelier September closes in the evenings, so migrate over to the buzzing Apollo Bar, which Bille Brahe also operates." - Anna Norström

Café Atelier September | Bon Appétit

"GO HERE: to feel like you’re living your best breakfast life. This Gothersgade Street café started out as a furniture and antiques store, and it shows (that’s their gorgeous butik next door). Turns out the owners have an eye for great chefs too. ORDER THE: perfectly shingled avocado on whole grain toast; matcha granola with zucchini jam; seasonal smørrebrød; and matcha latte. Chef Frederik Bille Brahe’s menu keeps it healthy, with a camera-ready twist. THE VIBE IS: beautiful people in a beautiful room eating beautiful avocado toast. We’re just going to warn you: Everyone here is better-looking and better–dressed than 97 percent of Americans. And their apartments are prettier too. Still. Don’t feel shy. PRACTICAL STUFF: Open every day: Monday to Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Also visit the sister spots: Apollo Bar and the new Kafeteria SMK in the National Gallery of Denmark. —Christine Muhlke" - Condé Nast

Atelier September is one of my checklist to go in Copenhagen. There wasn't long queue when I went there at 9:30am on Monday but as there were 5 people in our group and we needed a big table so we needed to wait for quite a while. Staff is very friendly and attentive. They always came to check us out if we are ok to wait or there were any other small table available nearby to split. Really impressed us. Anyway, we finally got the big table. What I highly recommend is the Almond pancake with blueberries & cream. It was so good! Matcha here is quite nice too. The vibes were great as well.

Really enjoyed my time here. I got the porridge with seasonal jam and then also ended up getting the sourdough with whipped butter as it looked amazing on display. Thoroughly enjoyed both of them and would recommend. The sourdough was soft with a crisp and chewy exterior and the whipped butter was the best i’ve had in denmark. The seasonal jam was divine and the porridge was well balanced, the addition of sunflower seeds was also nice. Will be back when i’m back in copenhagen.

Delicious brunch spot if you don’t mind waiting in a queue. We had the breakfast plate - really big portion size. Sourdough and whipped butter was tasty, but our eggs could have been jammier. The almond pancake was so good!

Although it’s crowded and you’ll have to wait in a line to get seated, it’s definitely worth the try. The interior and the display of the food is very nice. The food itself is decent nothing extraordinary which makes the prices kinda expensive. But it is worth the experience nonetheless.

We tried the classic Danish breakfast. It was nice, but a bit simple, and the prices felt high for what was offered. The staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere of the place was lovely.

The food was really good, and the produces were really fresh and organic. We loved the almond pancake, definitely worth the hype and the morning plate was really good as well. However, the prices are high compared to other places and you’re sitting shoulder to shoulder with other people

Nice spot for breakfast or lunch. Simple dishes, good coffee, calm atmosphere once seated. Very pleasant place.

#toast 542 — this place is a vibeeeeee and you already know from all the aesthetic girlies that make it here. so much Pinterest inspo, literally the butter tower is the iconic moment of this cafe. their kitchen is quite small in this location + quite a small, cozy spot right next to another super popular place (apotek 57). i personally wasn’t a huge fan of the morning plate - it was simple but the cold bread for me wasn’t working. just a cold plate on a cold day. it looked great but sourdough didn’t have a lot of flavor. follow @nomkakaii on Instagram for more toast travels!
