Atlanta Turkey Legs - Review - West Midtown - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Atlanta Turkey Legs is the place to hit when you’re in the mood for a Sunday dinner-level meal, but don’t feel like dining in to get it. It’s a ghost kitchen setup built for delivery or pick-up (just text when you arrive at the West Midtown location and they’ll bring out your food)—but if you haven’t ordered ahead, you can also go in person, order at the kiosk, and hang out for about 20 minutes." - Jacinta Howard

The Atlanta Restaurants Still Planning to Open in 2020 | Eater Atlanta

"A mobile-turned-restaurateur concept famous for oversized smoked turkey legs that are fall-off-the-bone tender and stuffed with fillings like dirty rice, shrimp and Alfredo, or savory toppings such as red onions, mushrooms, and parmesan—celebrity-endorsed and known for theatrical, hearty portions." - Beth McKibben

Never Misses! Every visit feels like a trip down memory lane—think Thanksgiving or Sunday dinner at grandma’s house. The food is comforting, flavorful, and always seasoned to perfection. Whether you’re craving something hearty or just need that soul food fix, this spot delivers every single time. We usually call in our order for convenience, but ordering in-person is just as smooth. There’s a kiosk setup inside, and the staff will bring your food out once it’s ready—super easy and efficient. If you haven’t tried it yet, do yourself a favor. Atlanta Turkey Leg is that feel-good, full-belly kind of spot you’ll keep coming back to. 10/10 recommend!

The Alfredo pasta with the salmon was amazing. Best salmon I have ever had from a restaurant. I personally like the seasoning on the salmon. The Pasta noodles didn’t seem like they were seasoned. Even with the lack of seasoning in the pasta, it was still enjoyable meal . DONT GET The Southern cornbread bowl If you don’t wanna have a big back . You get your money worth for $18. It is definitely a unique bowl because the whole bottom is filled with jalapeño cornbread. The cornbread tasted freshly made . The bowl provides you with a lot of protein. You have your collard greens, which were heavily season by the way , and also has a little spicy kick to it so be mindful about that. catered with mac & cheese turkey, which was my least favorite on the bowl, and candy yams. That’s really the definition of a big back and I’m totally fine with that😂 Don’t forget to Try their peach lemonade It was fantastic drink plus it didn’t taste so sweet. I got the Turkey leg with 2sides and two additional sides. Now I ordered on a Sunday which could effect the quality of food seeing as it’s their last day before closing every Monday and Tuesday, so food may have carried over. Turkey leg was good fell off the bone but a little dry but still very flavorful. Mac was very good and flavorful and so was the collards. The cornbread was a little dry and a very small piece and looked like was broken off so didn’t get my whole lil piece. The baked beans were tooooo sweet and toooo spicy . So over bearing that I could not enjoy them bc of the spice. Almost tasted like very spicy sweet potatoes. The sweet potatoes were dryyyyyy and off flavor. They tasted old to be honest and not fresh. They were also discolored a very dark brown and then the yam color with noooo juice. Ratings 1-10 Turkey Leg - 9 (a tad dry no sauce like pics but lots of juice at bottom of plater) Mac - 10 (not traditionally baked but Daym good) Cornbread - 8 (tad dry but good flavor) Collards - 10 (they are meatless) Baked beans - 4 ( didn’t finish them ) Yams …… -1 (horrible and dry ) I am open to trying again and ordering again just the turkey leg, Mac and greens. I’d be scared to retry anything else bc I wouldn’t want to feel like I wasted my money. Mind you my meal was $40 and I didn’t eat the yams or beans so $11 wasted. Hope this helps the restaurant bc they have potential. Like I said maybe I caught them on a bad Sunday.

Food was exactly as described. The Southern Cornbread Bowl with BBQ Turkey was enough for my aunt and I to eat off of SEVERAL times. I cant wait to go try something different.

Google
I’m obsessed with the Big Back Cornbread Bowl from Atlanta Turkey Legs! It’s the perfect southern comfort food combo that’s so delicious and fulfilling. You have the option to select the protein and sauces of your choice. My go-to is the shrimp and I always stick with the BBQ sauce. This dish serves up my favorites all together, Macaroni and cheese, yams, and collard greens over cornbread!!! 😋😋😋

Google
Nick and his brother did a wonderful job in rectifying a small issue we had with our Thanksgiving order. I originally ordered a single plate before committing to the Big Back Thanksgiving Pack. The Turkey wings were very tender and the greens had a great flavor. While the Mac isn't traditional baked mac n cheese, it was seasoned well. The dressing was a tad sweet for my liking but im sure it's because they use their cornbread as the base. Customer service is top tier at this establishment and we will continue to eat here because of that!

Yelp
Turkey legs are good. But everything else, including the turkey leg sauces, are incredibly SALTY. Except for one item: the baked beans. The chef not only drowns it in salt AND sugar, but the chef also adds CINNAMON. It tastes like a whiskey fireball and it's disgusting. If you don't listen to anything else, do not eat the baked beans. You'll regret it. I know "salty" is subjective, but as a lover of soul food, I really believe I can objectively say their food is overly salty.

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place for some time and it was actually pretty good! I ordered the saucy turkey leg with mac and cheese and collard greens. The turkey was well seasoned and fell off the bone. It had too much sauce to me but the flavor was there. The mac and cheese was a 10/10- absolutely delicious. The collard greens were just okay-- the flavor wasn't for me but taste better with hot sauce. Overall I'd give this place a solid 8 and will be back!

Yelp
When I tell you Atlanta Turkey Legs is gonna hit everytime and I mean EVERYTIME! I first got to try them last year at Jump-off Juneteenth event, anytime I see them at any event they are my go to food choice. Their turkey legs are always flavorful and juice, Mac & cheese is delicious with collard greens that have a kick to it! If you want the best of their menu please try their big back bowl ( turkey, greens,Mac & cheese,Kandi yams with cornbread) chefs kiss. The staff is always friendly no matter have busy they are at an event or even at their takeout location I. Which they finally moved in the city right in midtown Their takeout location can get really busy as it's a share kitchen space but it's clean and quick once your order is ready.

Yelp
Got Fried fish, Sausage and pasta, Pasta was mid, no veggies added for flavor but maybe I missed the option to add those,, but the fish and sausage was fi! Definitely would go back for that fish and sides!

Yelp
I've always wanted to give this place a try, so I decided to visit on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered my food at 12:23 pm and didn't receive it until 1:40 pm although the confirmation said it would be ready by 12:55 pm. I ordered the BBQ smoked turkey leg with collard greens and baked beans. The beans were a bit too sweet for my liking; I prefer a tangy taste. The turkey leg and greens were a 10/10. Had to knock down one star for the beans. Everything else was great.

Yelp
I got the wet lemon pepper turkey leg with candied yams and mac n cheese. The turkey leg was to die for! It had a lot of sauce and it was delicious, fall off the bone, moist, and well seasoned. The candied yams were very good and the mac and cheese was good. It's a food locker place, and took 30 mins to be done. I was sad there wasn't any drink options as I seen when checking out the kiosk recommended lemonade and I couldn't click it.

Yelp
Why they play in our face like this? $23 and change for a side of Mac A SIDE..... I'm so pissed NEVER AGAIN. FYI this is not your traditional restaurant you place your order on a kiosk and await for them to place it in a locker for pick up when ready. There's nobody there to complain to or address your concerns.

Yelp
Okay! ...(pause for emphasis and dramatization lol) this was delicious tasting food!! We ordered the lemon pepper turkey leg with Mac and cheese yams and collards. I don't even eat yams, but i did yesterday I ordered them because the sides list was limited and i didn't want baked beans with the meal i had and i knew if i didn't like them my man would eat them. The collards were good as well; a little spicy but not too spicy I couldn't eat or enjoy them. My nose just ran a little. Now the turkey legs were fall off the bone tender and fell off into this lemon pepper sauce.... Yummy!! The portion size for the sides are okay as well. Oh and o forgot, I also ordered a pan of the cornbread!!! Pause again... I ate one slice before i even ate my meal and then another slice with my meal lol. It gives Jiffy, but with jalapeño's. There's no ambiance to discuss because there is no sit down dining. Also, it's located in somewhat of a creepy place because it's behind a building. We arrived when it was dark and i believe i would've been uncomfortable if i were by myself. I'll add that I'm not familiar with that area. We drove about 29 minutes to get there; no traffic. The service was good. I didn't check the box for curb side pick up but lucked up and got it anyway. The guy was bringing another persons food out and walked to our car and asked our name and said the order was coming up. Not sure if this is standard or if it was only because they arrived at my car before the person whose food they had in the bag.

Yelp
The process was a little different then what I'm use to, I had to go I. A waiting area and order from kiosk and later food popped out if locker... very different but it was good portion and the food was good.

Yelp
10 stars!!! This place is amazing! Saw it on social media and had to try it. We ordered two turkey leg meals and the cornbread bowl thing and everything was delicious. They have some of the best yams I've ever tasted. The only bad thing was the hour long drive I had to the house before I could eat all this deliciousness.

Yelp
My boyfriend sent me this restaurant a few months ago on Instagram. I waited until his birthday to order it for him. It's pricey. The bowl was $30 but it includes plenty of food. It could feed two. The food itself was not good. The turkey was very dry and everything was overly seasoned except the yams. The baked beans were really spicy and had a strong taste of nutmeg. It was overpowering. The greens were super spicy as well and tasted acidic (vinegar). I can't give a good rating to the Mac because my mouth was on fire from the beans and collard greens. My boyfriend wasn't pleased either. So much for his birthday meal but I read the review on yelp and saw this criticism but it's reviewed more heavily on Google without the same complaints. Yelp was right.

Yelp
This was my first time ordering from this establishment. I ordered using Doordash. I ordered the Smoked Turkey Leg with Spicy Collard Greens and Macaroni & Cheese . The Smoked Turkey Leg was tender and seasoned well. The Macaroni & Cheese was good. I was happy to see the Spicy Collard Greens were not seasoned with pork. They were seasoned well, just a little to much salt. The overall cost ended up being fairly high, but may order from here again.

Yelp
So I met the owner one day at a dance studio such a good guy , so we decided to go and give the food a try . The outside of restaurant was nice , looks like it was made from trailers which is really cool. The inside was very clean , with serval different kiosk for us to order . The kiosk had multiple different restaurants for us to try but you pick the one you want to eat from, order your food , pay and you receive an alert when it's done. The alert comes with a locker number and once you unlock through link the locker pops open and there's your food . We got three meals to try 2 were turkey legs with two sides one with hot honey sauce the other with bbq sauce. The other meal was the southern cornbread bowl . Everything was amazinggg turkey falling off the MF bone ! Collard greens were great Mac and cheese was flavored very well and texture was great and yams were on point with the combination of the corn bread really set it off. A lot of food given in each plate so I definitely had leftover for another day . Highly recommend especially around holiday time .

Yelp
This place is seriously incredible!! The chef is so kind and you can absolutely tell he pours so much love into his food. The mac and cheese is my favorite, yams are delicious and the turkey leg itself is literally a fall off the bone, juicy, flavorful delicacy! Oh and the cornbread is one of the best I've ever had. Check this place out when you get a chance, you won't be disappointed!

Jacqueline Y.

Yelp
i ordered the big cornbread bowl and it was VERY disappointing. A 9-inch pan of cornbread with sweet BBQ sauce and less than 1/4 cup turkey. My first and last time going to this place...the wait time was ridiculous!!!

Yelp
Really wanted to like this place and drove over 35 min to get some. My wife and I ordered 2 turkey leg meals. Hers came bbq and she ordered garlic parm and both were very dry throughout the leg. The Mac and cheese was ok but not great. We ordered the Raspberry Cheesecake and that was disgusting 1/10. The texture on it was gross. Cornbread was super dry as well. Overall too expensive and quality severally lacking. I'll spend $50+ elsewhere

Ronald B.

Yelp
The food was actually decent. I feel they could've given me a bit more, far as portions and meat on top of the turkey bowel but overall food was good.

Autumn C.

Yelp
Food was okay. I wouldn't eat here again... & the baked beans taste like your eating cinnamon powder. I wish they didn't put cinnamon in the baked beans omg. The service was good!

Tamara H.

Yelp
I went there for the first time yesterday. Without looking at the website, I was not aware that there is no dine in seating, but that was perfectly fine for me. I ordered the lemon pepper turkey leg, baked beans and collard greens. The Turkey leg was excellent and tender. The collard greens were absolutely delicious!. The baked beans were good, although they had a cinnamon or allspice seasoning that was a bit overwhelming (side note: I still ate them all). Customer service was great. The gentleman that was there was very friendly and was very open to questions since this was my first time. The cost for my meal was about $23.00 with no drink, but they give you plenty of food. I had enough for lunch and dinner. I would definitely return.
