Best Dim Sum Restaurants in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"Atlantic Seafood serves dim sum favorites like the egg white snow bun, mini pineapple salted egg yolk bun, egg tarts, mango pudding, and fried turnip cake. Although most of the dishes are above par, the star is the mini pineapple salted egg yolk bun that is carried out on trays fresh from the oven. The restaurant is among a select few left in Los Angeles that still use push carts. Atlantic Seafood also sells a number of its dim sum frozen for takeout." - Kristie Hang

This dim sum seafood restaurant makes me felt like home. The still use the cart to carry out dim sum and go to your table. The lobster deal is really worth it and it’s must order dish. Like all other Cantonese restaurant, the service was fast. They were pretty busy around noon and it’s suggested to come early. Great place to hang with friends and tries different dim sum.

Google
Lobster noodle special $16.99 is only available with minimum purchase $20 or more also the noodle and sides additional, $26 roasted duck has a minimum of 3 main course purchase and only available evening. The tea taste was very generic, charged my 10yrs old tea count(told me all tea count over 4yrs old), old school dim sum cart is authentic and give it a thumbs up because a lot of restaurants are no longer doing dim sum carts no more. Haven’t tried other seafood yet, but the noodle with lobster was too small and over fried, that’s what you may get for a special I guess. Total gross charge of $60-$6tax-$6tea count= $48 net with 4 dim sum flat fee of $5 plus a lobster noodle for 4 people sounds very fair. Only need to improve the food and tea quality bit more toward a higher end quality seafood restaurant with more attractive pricing.

Google
One of THE BEST dim sum places I’ve ever had anywhere. I went in for dim sum and a different day for dinner service. The dimsum here is traditional with rolling carts. The dim sum here is cheap per order and the lobster and pecking duck deal is so cheap. The duck is crispy and the lobster is super good. The only downside is the service is your typical Asian restaurant service where it’s 50/50, sometimes it seems like the waiter didn’t like being requested a few things, but that didn’t bother me at all. Met the owner and he was very sweet and excellent customer service too. Overall a solid pick for dim sum.

Google
This place has been open for over a decade, and back in school days I often came to Monterey Park for morning tea. The restaurants here always feel so classic and authentic. The fact that they still keep the roaming dim sum cart service makes me love it even more! These days many places just have you check off what you want and bring it straight out, but that takes away a bit of the vibe haha. Dim Sum Starting with the essentials: BBQ pork buns, siu mai, chicken feet, rice rolls, lava custard buns, turnip cakes, spare ribs, and century egg congee. The turnip cake was extra fun—they fry it right on the pan and serve it sizzling hot, so fragrant! The lava buns were amazing too, a little poke and the custard just flows out. Special Lobster They have quite a few special deals, like Peking duck, live crab, and lobster. The lobster this time was a promo—order $20 worth and add it for $16.99. Honestly a great deal since the lobster was pretty big. We got the garlic style and the meat was juicy and firm. Next time with more people, I’ll definitely try the other specials. Shantou Pao Fan (泡饭) I had to order this when I saw the name! I love pao fan, and this one was loaded with seafood. Every bite reminded me how creative Cantonese food can be—soft yet springy rice with a broth that’s so fresh. As they say, Chaoshan people can’t live without pao fan! If I lived nearby, I’d probably be coming here just to take this home often. BBQ Meats We got a combo of crispy pork belly and roast duck. The pork belly had that perfect crackling crunch with juicy layers of fat and lean, not greasy at all. The roast duck skin was smoky and fragrant, the meat nice and firm. My kid loved it so much he said if I didn’t give him more, he’d just chew on the bones again. Chaozhou Beef Chow Fun Also a lunch special, and the portion was huge—I packed it home and had two more meals with it. Nicely stir-fried with plenty of beef and shrimp, very homey flavors. Not sure if they renovated recently, but the space feels quite big and airy. They even have banquet rooms for weddings and karaoke. I once attended a Cantonese friend’s wedding here

Great selection. Made a Google reservation. I'm not sure they had it but they had the space we needed. Carts came fast. Tripe was one of the best dishes of the day. I would say baked char siu bao over the steamed. Enjoyed turnip cakes grilled to order! Always want that crisp top.

Google
Good dim sum stop. Currently the dim sum is at a discount, $4.38 on weekdays and $5.38 weekends/holidays. Go while the promotion is on. I feel that they have a larger dim sum selection than most places and they still use carts to let you see and pick what you like. Food tastes great and service was good.

We are total regulars here! Whenever the whole crew needs to get together for a big family meal—especially for Father's Day or Mother's Day—this is where we end up. Let's talk favorites: the Shu Mai is a non-negotiable. They are huge and come in sets of four. Our nine-person family went through seven orders, thanks to how much the kids devour them! You also absolutely must order the egg yolk bun. It's wonderfully fluffy with that addictive, gooey filling. Just keep an eye out for the carts rolling by! A Heads-Up: They get busy! If you want to avoid a 30-minute to hour-long wait, try coming on a weekday. You'll save a couple of dollars an item, too! Look for them on the 4th floor of the plaza, and you can find parking right downstairs.

Google
Found Atlantic Seafood on Yelp to try out a new dim sum spot in socal. The spot is a bit difficult to get to. Parking is downstairs (which is great) that there is available parking, but to get to the actual restaurant is a bit of trek. You might need to park a bit a ways away from the stairs/elevator, then you need to get to the actual restaurant which is another set of stairs/elevator. We didn't need to wait which was great. By the time we left, there was a bit of a line. We were tucked in the back corner of the restaurant, so food came out a bit slower than we are used to. We ordered our usual dimsum items. Shumai, chicken feet, dumplings, etc. Overall, nothing stood out a whole lot. Food was ok. Service was below average. Auto $2 "seat" charge for tea.

Yelp
They're open daily 8am-9pm Parking was ok but it could be challenging especially on the weekends or holidays since it's located in a big plaza and the parking is shared with many other businesses Service was ok but could have been better if they were more attentive Inside was pretty spacious and had plenty of seating Dim sum was pretty affordable! It's $4.38 on the weekdays and $5.38 on the weekends/holidays, and $2/person for tea! Menu had a good variety of popular sweet and savory dim sum dishes - Har Gow was quite small and the shrimp didn't taste fresh. It seemed a little mushy and there wasn't much shrimp inside so this was 6/10 - Siu Mai was just ok and not too big. There was hardly any shrimp and it seemed pretty bland so this was 6/10 - Shrimp Rice Roll was average and could have been better if there was more shrimp. The rice roll was pretty soft but could have been better if it was more flavorful so this was 6.5/10 - Chicken Feet was decent and flavorful. It was slightly too salty but it was not too bad so this was 7/10 - Beef Balls were just ok and nothing special. It would have been better if there were bits of water chestnut inside. It tasted slightly bland so this was 6/10 - Pineapple Buns were disappointing! The top was not crispy and the bun didn't taste fresh. It was so dry and it didn't taste good so this was 5/10 - Deep Fried Battered Taro wasn't crispy and fresh. The pork filling was quite salty and didn't taste delicious at all so this was 6/10. Overall, I was quite disappointed with the quality and service so I won't return or recommend unfortunately

Yelp
Solid 3 star dim sum. Came for lunch with the family, and ordered a variety of dishes. We had about 21 Dim Sum items, noodles, and tea. It's interesting that they even charge "tea service" for the kids. I probably should have said something, but we were in a little bit of a hurry. Some of the dishes were better than others. No real standouts, but nothing that was terrible. The main issue that I had was that many of the dishes were not very hot. They were mostly room temperature, which decreased the enjoyment. Service is what you expect from Dim Sum. The ambiance is also what you expect. Fish / lobster tanks and wine bottles at the entrance, and then a bunch of big tables. I don't mind going back, but it won't be too often. I'll probably lean toward Lunasia for dim sum in the future.

Yelp
I love that this is one of the few places for Dim Sum in which the food carts are still available. We arrived at 10am. There were plenty of tables available when we arrived. They are increasing the variety of dim sum available. Tasty food. It's located in the second floor. The elevator wasn't working, so we had to take the stairs.
google avatar

Gerina O.

Yelp
Parking can be a little difficult but the dedicated underground parking is free. It's a bit of a trek up to the second floor to find this restaurant but it's so worth it! I love that this restaurant still does carts for dim sum. They have a great selection of items and the taste of everything is great. I especially love the salted egg yolk buns and the shrimp rice rolls here.

Yelp
Came in with my girlfriend's meetup group for dim sum and lobster. Group of 15 so 1 table of 8, another table of 7. Good offerings of dim sum and Atlantic seafood & Dim Sum still uses dim sum carts. The carts come by your table and you point at whatever dishes you want, then the server stamps your card once for each dim sum dish you receive. If you meet the minimum order then you can order up to 2 lobster per table at a discounted price starting at 11AM. If you order 3 regular menu items, not dim sum, you can order peeking duck at a discount as well. The table I was at didn't order regular dishes but the other table did and got the peeking duck which looked very good, carved table side. Everything was good and everyone left stuffed. It came out to 36 per person for our table including 22 dim sum dishes, 2 lobster, tea, tax and tip. We will probably return.

Yelp
626 has some of the best dim sum and if you're looking for authentic Chinese dim sum, this is it. They aren't people who care too much about service and the food cart ladies may seem overbearing, but skip over all that and enjoy the different dishes they have here. Their har gow and shiu mai is tasty. The chicken feet has a ton of flavorful and their sweet pineapple buns with salted egg yolk is pretty dang good. Their Peking duck is also super soft and delicious.

Yelp
One of the most OG dimsum restaurants in town! Loved their old style cart to cart dimsum and their OG chun fun are must order and you can ask the waitress over to order too! Other than dimsum they also have other dishes such as Singapore noodles are must order and the portions are very generous!

Yelp
This place was once a restaurant that we would frequent every since this center was built. It sits above 24-Hour Fitness, which is where I belonged to back in 2010 or so. Haven't been here in maybe a decade and decided to return to take advantage of their current promos. They had Lobster for $16.99 ea (limit 2) and Peking Duck for $26.99 (limit 1, with purchase of 3 regular menu items). Since moving to Orange County 8 years ago, I've been wanting to come back for their delicious dim sum and peking duck. They carve peking duck table-side and not many restaurants do that anymore. I brought my meetup group with me, a total of 15 ppl, so we had two tables. Love that this restaurant still has dim sum carts and carve the peking duck table-side. I think what annoyed me tho was that I was standing by my second table getting my group situated and the server continuously kept asking what we would like to eat. I kept telling them "not yet" and they kept interrupting me as I was trying to talk to those in my group. Most were non-asian on that table and I wanted someone to take the lead. Unfortunately, when we did order dim sum off the carts, it didn't taste the same as I remember. Those in my meetup group thought it was good, so I guess that's all that matters. Parking is sometimes a challenge so you gotta be lucky otherwise you'll be circling around for a bit.

Yelp
The rating and reviews are all pretty accurate. Some servers are not very kind. You constantly need to flag someone just to get water or place kitchen orders. And one of the male waiters had an attitude from get go and VERY RUDE and impatient for simply asking questions about entrees. The dim sum and entrees were respectable and good but overall the experience was whatever. Go there if you want some dim sum cart server or go elsewhere if you know of one. We came by recently for a family lunch. The restaurant is on the 2nd floor close to 24 Hour Fitness. The carts were going around quickly and they had the items we were looking for. Most of the other staff were kind and friendly. The restaurant is very big with lots of table banquet room for occasions. The operation is like everyone is running around in organized chaos. Overall. Food was ok. Service was lacking. We tipped exactly what was appropriate. Which was very little. :) Solid 2.5/5.

Yelp
Came here for dim sum and left a little disappointed. The food quality is ok, some of the food seemed oversteamed or might have been left out for a while. Expect the classic cart ladies walking around, they offer all the dishes you can expect at a dim sum restaurant. Lots of seating and parking is underground in the Atlantic times plaza. This is a large space with lots of available tables for parties of all sizes.

Yelp
We've been going there to have dim sum for many years. We went there on the weekend and it was not too crowded. Decent dim sum at a reasonable price. ($4.38/dish on weekdays and $5.38/dish weekends/holidays, except special dishes.) Their tea was good, some dim sum were hit and miss, depending on what you ordered. (I did not like their steamed pork ribs and sponge cake. I usually like steamed pork ribs, but they were mediocre and tasted bland.) However, we liked their special dishes the most. Their roast duck and roast pork dishes were so good and fresh. Other dim sums were not bad (about average). Service was great. I would give 3.5 stars for sure.

Yelp
Yum Cha aka Dim Sum | Unlocking Family Moments Atlantic Seafood & Dim Sum on the 2nd Fl of @atlantictimessquare is still keeping those Chinese traditions and childhood memories alive with a grand ballroom sized restaurant, steamed push carts of dim sum, Lobster and Peking Duck Specials, tea pots filled with Jasmine tea and those vintage looking table clothes that we are all familiar with. We order all the classic dim sum such as shu mai, har gao, pork ribs, turnip cake, chicken feet, tribe, cheung fun w/ bbq, steamed baos and so much more! $16.99 Lobster Deals and $26.99 Peking Duck Specials are everyday from 11am-9pm. This is your sign to invite your friends or family to come and enjoy DIMSUM at Atlantic with plenty of free parking .
google avatar

Christina N.

Yelp
From the moment you sit down, the dim sum cart ladies swarm your table like bees to honey and you're very quickly spoilt for choice. Food is tasty and prices are fair. They also have promotions for Peking duck or crab at a special price with some minimum orders. We came 30min before dim sum service ended so options were abit more limited, but still pleasantly surprised with the tastiness. Solid!
google avatar

Yelp
My friend had her son's graduation party at Atlantic Seafood and DimSum. The underground parking is free but shared with the other businesses upstairs. There is Elevator access that goes to the ground floor (street level) I had a bit of trouble finding the entrance to Atlantic Seafood, which is besides the 24 hour fitness store, there is an elevator besides the stairs to get to the 2nd floor, also kinda misleading is the sign for Tokyo Wako instead of Atlantic Seafood, we had a private room with 3 tables and we had a party lunch package (not dimsum), service was quick and professional. The dining area was kept clean.

Yelp
First time having such authentic dim sum in LA, and they still have the traditional push carts. We went to Atlantic Seafood & Dim Sum Restaurant with my pickleball coach Bryant and his Korean girlfriend, and they both loved it. As soon as we sat down, carts came around offering everything--spare ribs, chicken feet, beef tripe, rice rolls, fish balls, lotus leaf chicken, BBQ pork, and more. Within minutes, our table was completely full without any waiting. We finished with black sesame pudding, custard buns, and pineapple buns, which were a big hit. Great experience and very nostalgic for traditional dim sum.

Yelp
Service is very very nice . My service is young boy . I just open tea because is hot . The service wana refill. . The boss saw that we had nothing to eat, so he quickly asked the waiter to push the cart over and ask . Thanks for boss . I like here . must be come back !come back ! Ms. Li is very nice and the service is great. Thank you.

Yelp
Good spot for dim sum, I came right before dim sum is over at 3p (around 2:30p) so no wait and all the carts came to my table and I got most of the items left over which were still good! They also made some fresh items that ran out when I requested. Ordered Chicken feet w/ black bean sauce and shrimp w/ chives dumplings which were yum. Typical dim sum staff with a tinge of niceness. Just how I like it lol.
google avatar

Yelp
Great dimsum and food. Helps a lot if you speak Canto or Mando, but not necessary. Docked a star because the wait was about 25 minutes for us--a group of 6 on a Sunday. No nonsense dimsum spot that we've been coming to for years.
google avatar

Jake A.

Yelp
Very classic dim sum place! For best experience I recommend knowing Cantonese, but standard mandarin will do. They come around with the carts, and you can point to whatever ones you want. The aunties also make recommendations and I always trust them!! The vibe is great and the energy is wonderful--not too calm and not too chaotic! My favs were the tripe, chicken feet, shrimp rice roll, and xiu mai were all fantastic! The zong zi was tasty as well. The aunties were so sweet to us and happy to chat a bit, and really paid attention to the dishes we wanted. Lovely chatting with them!

Yelp
I came for an early lunch on a Monday so it wasn't packed. Given that, the service was great. The carts came quickly and when I didn't find what I wanted, they went and got it from another cart. Food was good though I wasn't a big fan of the shrimp balls or the taro puff. I liked the siumai, the egg yolk bun and pineapple bun the best. I thought prices were really reasonable.
google avatar

Jason L.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday morning around 11am and there was no wait. We were seated immediately and dim sum carts were rapidly headed our way to ask if we wanted any items from their cart. It seems like they target newly seated groups but I can see how it may make a group feel rushed if they're new to dim sum or don't know what they want. Each dim sum item is $5.38 and there is a $2-3 fee for unlimited hot tea per person. They also give you hot sauce and hot mustard. The hot mustard always enhances my meal. It does give you that wasabi/horseradish feel though, so be careful not to put too much on your food. We ordered the usual dim sum dishes - pan fried turnip cake, sesame ball, baked egg custard tarts, baked salty egg yolk bun, chicken feet, beef tripe with green onion, sticky rice in lotus leaf, beef chong fun, and a few other items. They were all OK. Nothing really stood out as amazing. If you wanted to satisfy your dim sum craving, this is an OK place to go where you can get the usual dim sum items.

Yelp
My daughter picked this place since none of us has ever been here before, so I was super excited to try it out. We drove here right after church, so we arrived a little before noon. There was already such a long line!! We were told 40 minutes wait time!! Thank goodness they were wrong. Maybe about 30 minutes. We were led to a table towards the back of the restaurant. Many tables. Noticed the food carts...YAY!! The food carts came around fairly frequently, but then I started to notice that the types of dim sum offered to us was frequently the same stuff. That was disappointing!! Not too many choices, but the food was good. We ordered a noodle dish on the menu, which was not offered in the carts, so that helped us get full. The dessert choices was a little limited as well, but they were tasty. Ambiance was fine. The only nice-looking thing about this place was the ornate chandeliers. Free parking in the underground garage of the mall. Street parking is challenging because you need a permit. It was nice to wander around the mall after eating. I would come back if I'm in the area.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday afternoon around 12 and there was no wait. Sounds like a good thing right? Well, I get why there was no wait now. Pros: -Cheap dim sum in the area. Only like $5.38 during weekends per dish. -Cart service, they come around pretty quick. -Dishes like the beef tripe and stomach came out piping hot. -Clean restroom Cons: -Quality ranged from mostly average to mediocre. Probably the only dish I really liked was the pan fried daikon cake, as the cart lady manning the daikon cake cart gave it an extra sear before serving it. Everything else was just nothing noteworthy. -They didn't have any har gow and siu mai. What dim sum restaurant doesn't have those two things to sell during peak hours? The usual: -Service here was average dim sum service. Don't expect red carpet service. They will be gruff, but they will fulfill your requests as quick as they can, or as slow as they can. The verdict: Overall, there's better dim sum restaurants in the area honestly. If you want a cheap dim sum cart experience with average to mediocre quality though, this is the place for you. 2.5/5 overall.
google avatar

Isaac C.

Yelp
This place has definitely declined in quality over the years. Many of the dishes didn't look fresh, and unfortunately they tasted about the same as they looked. Nothing was outright bad, but nothing stood out either. It was just very average overall, hence the 3 stars. With so many better dim sum options in the SGV, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
google avatar

Jerry H.

Yelp
Great dim sum spot that's priced decently in the modern day. They got all the classic dishes but I feel like the dishes with a wrapper (ie har gao, or the pastries) had a wrapper that was a bit too thick. The shao mai here was unique and it was interesting

Tim W.

Yelp
I love Dim Sum I travel for work and finding good offerings can be a challenge. When a coworker suggested Atlantic Seafood an Dim Sum, I looked them up. They showed a comprehensive Dim Sum menu which is not always the case. I always look for one specific item hoping to find it. I was happy to see the picture once I found it. I tried new and amazing things suggested by friends and servers. Not one thing disappointed. It was all spectacular. I can't wait for a second trip.

Yi I.

Yelp
Worst service - servers are all just rude without knowing ANYTHING No food available - only a few choice Worst experience ever Don't come here if you want good dim sum Don't come here if you want average service
google avatar

Brian T.

Yelp
One of the few dim sum places that still use push carts. Located in Atlantic Times Square. Love that they still use push carts to serve the food but unfortunately the quality of item is ok. Servers were good and quick. The siu mai has good amount of meat but not much flavor. The skin of the har gow is a bit too thick and chewy. The shrimp cheung fun was good and has a good bounce. My favorite was the salted egg lava pineapple buns. Good crust and has a more salted egg filling than sweet. It was so good I ordered another plate to go. The lobster special is you get what you paid for type of dish. $17 for a lobster. We chose to get it stir fried with ginger and scallion. Some pieces were meaty but most pieces were thickly covered with cornstarch. Worth a try but probably wouldn't get it again. Decent dim sum place if you want the traditional push carts.

Yelp
If you've ever wondered what it's like to be disrespected, overcharged, and possibly exposed to foodborne illness all in one day, Atlantic Seafood has you covered. Dining here was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had, and that's not an exaggeration. From start to finish, it was a complete failure across every possible category: service, cleanliness, food, and most disturbingly, basic human decency. We walked into a ghost town on a Sunday (huge red flag), and despite the place being basically empty, we were still ignored at the host stand and waited way too long to even get water. The staff looked like we'd inconvenienced them just by showing up. Now let me be clear: I'm no stranger to the typical no-nonsense service you get at some Chinese restaurants. It's part of the charm sometimes. But there's a big difference between the usual tough love and outright rude, dismissive, borderline discriminatory behavior. Tables around us filled with native speakers received attentive, friendly service. As ABCs (American-born Chinese) who don't speak Mandarin or Cantonese, we were treated like we didn't belong in our own cultural space. I watched a server leave the restroom and return without washing his hands. Farm to table? More like "toilet to table." That alone should tell you everything you need to know about their hygiene standards. No sink stop. No hesitation. Inexcusable, disgusting, and frankly, dangerous. In a post-COVID world, that's not just gross. It's a health violation waiting to happen. And then the cherry on top! I told my mom about the experience and she immediately recognized the owner's name. Turns out he was a former patient of my parents years ago who straight-up scammed them and never paid his bill. He even screamed at my dad to never call him again. So the lack of basic decency here? It explains why the staff acts the way they do. Trash attracts trash. Atlantic Seafood isn't a restaurant. It's a case study in failure. Foul service. Filthy habits. Dead energy. And it's all orchestrated by someone who's been shady long before he ever owned a dining room. Eat here if you want to be disrespected and disappointed. Otherwise, do what the rest of the city has already figured out - run far, fast, and never look back.

Yelp
ATLANTIC SEAFOOD & DIM SUM RESTAURANT is located in a complex with free underground parking. There was no line to get in, no line to get seated, and in no time at all, we had hot tea, water and the dimsum ladies crowding our table. Fast, delicious, accurate, friendly.

Yelp
$4.38 weekdays, $5.38 weekends/holidays, 11am-3pm. Great deal for decent/good dim sum which is normally more expensive. We had seafood chow mein, ha gow/shrimp dumplings, sui mai, chicken feet, brown sugar sponge cake, taro cake, taro puffs, bean curd rolls with vegetables that collapsed (compared to the bean curd rolls with meat inside which kept the rolls from collapsing), etc. Everything was delicious! Nice ambience with chandeliers, videos on the walls. Noisy from the packed room. I could barely hear the people at my table talk. If you want to see the old-fashioned metal carts with gas/fire that keeps the dim sum warm, this is the place to go. Even the restrooms are decently modern-looking compared to older Chinese restaurant restrooms. Service was attentive. Restaurant is located on the second floor, #200. Free parking in the shopping mall. Park on the P2 level. Tea charge/person of about $1.50/person on the bill, so be sure to check your bill.

Yelp
This dim sum restaurant is my favorite. Like their little carts where you can pick your dishes. It is very affordable: $4.38 per dish in the weekdays and $5.38 on the weekends. We were able to feed six adults with $120!

Yelp
I had a great experience here today for dim sum. Good food, good service, and affordable. The carts made rounds often and they speak English which was a nice surprise. Parking is also easy in the underground structure.

Yelp
You really have to try dim sum at Atlantic Seafood & Dim Sum Restaurant at least once. Maybe once a week? *joke* Here, they still have staff who push carts with a variety of foodstuff on it. As the carts pass by your table, you can pick and choose. Sometimes you know what you want; sometimes you select something spontaneously. Atlantic Seafood is a large restaurant. Because there are so many tables to serve, the product on the carts turns over quickly; in turn the products are fresh. Because there is an audience for it, Atlantic Seafood offers dim sum dishes you don't see in smaller restaurants. Having dim sum here is like a food vacation. It's a dimension of Cantonese food culture that seems to be slowly disappearing, here and abroad. BTW .. Atlantic Seafood & Dim Sum Restaurant is located within an interesting development. The complex has commercial and retail on the ground level. There are apartments above. There is ample, free underground parking.

Yelp
Came on a Christmas eve mid morning and there were a few groups inside. So seating and waiting was never an issue. For those of you who need a quick location reference, it's upstairs inside the condominium complex...adjacent to the LA Fitness. Everything is run efficiently and smoothly, which is pretty common for Chinese spots here in the SGV. Also, it's one of the few spots left that has those traditional push carts. I love those carts, so don't get rid of them! Highlights for me were the siu mai - big and meaty, and the black bean spare ribs. I wasn't a big fan of the beef ball, which had this weird, spongy texture. Also, the juicy dumpling wasn't as juicy as I was hoping it would be, unfortunately. Came up a little dry. The other items we ordered - har gow and egg custard - were decent enough. Would I come back? Yes. There's enough on the menu to explore, the pricing is good, and the service is just as good.

Yelp
If you're looking for authentic dim sum, this is the place to go. Food: they have almost everything you're looking for in a dim sum. The quality is legit, fresh and everything. Service: it can get a little hectic inside, servers aren't the friendliest. We were sat in the back and almost felt like the waiter forgot about us. We constantly had to try to get their attention for simple things like utensils and water. Ambiance: it can get packed and loud. But it wouldn't be a dim sum if it wasn't loud. Overall, I do recommend this place. I just hope you get better service than we did.

Yelp
I brought my friend who had never had dim sum before and he enjoyed it. We had 9 types of dim sum and I thought the food overall was very good. It's worth it to come on a weekday because the dim sum was $4.38 each which is cheaper than their weekend price. They offer a pretty wide variety of items. Service was pleasant and polite and parking was plentiful. The last time I went to NBC Seafood for dim sum, it wasn't that good and their prices are higher.

Yelp
20+ visits here over the past few years, and my consensus remains the same - my family, friends, and I are huge fans of Atlantic. You honestly cannot go wrong with anything on the menu, and portions are generous. I love everything, but (maybe less commonly ordered) highlights are: - pan fried noodles w/ beef (we took to go after dim sum and it was absolutely delicious) - congee, egg and pork (their congee is the BEST - so flavorful) - steamed pork BBQ buns (my personal favorite, hits every time) - egg tarts (good ones are hard to come by, but these are great) - fish balls (leng yu) Actually can't wait to be back.

Yelp
It has been at least 5 years since we were here last. The dim sum was alright compared to other more expensive restaurants (i.e., Crystal Palace across the street). At $4.38/plate weekdays and $5.38/plate on the weekends, you get what you pay for. The har gow and shrim roll skins were thick. The cha siu bao meat tasted old, like the meat was frozen too long. The clear chicken feet counted as two plates. It lacked any flavoring, especially if we're paying double the price for the chicken feet. Very disappointing. As others noted, service was not great. Even though we asked for hot water, we were charged for the $2.38/person for tea service. I would try it once and not return for a long time.

Yelp
Atlantic Seafood and Dim Sum deserves 5 stars! Finally, a place with truly great dim sum where the flavors are perfectly balanced--not overly salty like so many other places. I love the egg tarts. The are perfectly flaky and just the right amount of sweetness. The shrimp rice paper rolls are a must-try, super fresh and flavorful. The har gow and shu mai (pork dumplings) are both top-notch--perfectly generous shrimp filling. Another standout is the chicken bun, which I prefer over their red BBQ pork bun. It's soft and delicious, with just the right amount of savory filling. I also like to order their Ham sui gok (fried rice dumpling that's shaped like a football) I usually order to go and I put them in my toaster oven along with the egg tarts. Overall, I'm so happy to have found this dim sum place. It's my new go-to, and I'll be back for more soon!

Yelp
Had dinner with 15 people (2 kids) around 4:30 on a Saturday. Needlessly to say, we were the ONLY group in the restaurant and the manager appeared to be the ONLY employee on the floor so service was a bit slow. The Peking duck was very disappointing. A lady used to come out and cut the duck at the table. That day the skin and all the duck meat was piled on top. The majority of the duck was just bones. Once the employees started coming in, service got much better. Recommend if you eat there for dinner to go after 4:30. Hopefully

Yelp
This is a PSA - run here now (and bring all your friends and family, too)! In my years living in the San Gabriel Valley, I have seen dim sum restaurants come and go, and I always missed the traditional Cantonese push cart experience as it's been phasing out in Arcadia. Little did I know, my boyfriend and I should've looked in Monterey Park for one of the best dim sum experiences we've had in a long time. I am not exaggerating here, because it may sound like I am, but I promise it's 100% true. We sat down and got 7 of our favorite dishes in less than 2 minutes, thanks to the amazing push cart ladies who saw us sit down and surrounded us with food (and love). I legitimately could not keep my jaw closed because I was in shock and so surprised that we were so well taken care of in a matter of less than 2 minutes. Note we came on at peak brunch time, 11 am on a Sunday, and expected to wait a while to be sat down. Maybe we got lucky, or maybe the dim sum spirits really wanted to treat us that day, and for that, I am so grateful. At dim sum, my boyfriend and I know all our favorites, so the minute we spot a push cart with it, we wave and smile to get served our steaming dish. We got the pleasure to try: Egg Tart, Shrimp Dumplings, Spare Ribs, Tripe, Sui Mai, Chicken Feet, Congee, and Duck Blood. Everything was served piping hot and hit all the marks. The push cart ladies are all so nice and made us feel so welcome. We couldn't say no to a lot of things and got too excited so we ordered too much food. Their Chrysanthemum Tea was good to wash all the oil down. But hey, you didn't have dim sum if you didn't leave with a little food baby belly. 8 dishes came out to be around $50 with no tax, so about $6.25 each dish (some may be more than others but we were not keeping track). We fully expected the whole meal to be more than $70 so I'd say they are very reasonably priced and get extra bonus points for treating us so well and being so fast. We also had a dedicated waiter assigned to our table, whom was very nice and attentive. He brought us our spicy dipping sauces, refilled our tea, and came to check on us a few times. We parked in the underground car parking lot, right off of Atlantic. For a directionally-challenged gal like me, they sure notate this and put signs around the plaza to direct you to the entrance. It's a nice walk, maybe a brisk walk if you're really hungry, and the signage really helped us. You'll notice a flight of stairs that will lead you up to level two where the front entrance of the restaurant is. Super helpful. Needless to say, my boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience from start to finish and left with a big smile on our faces. We will soon be back with more friends and family to enjoy this traditional Cantonese-style dim sum.

Yelp
A few hits and a few misses. I might be back. (+) Tribe, egg custard (vrry good), shrimp rice noodles (-) Sesene ball was just off maybe it was the filling (-) The carts rolling around didn't have much variety. We sat there for more than 30 minutes and there was no cart that rolled around that offered siu mai or haw gow. (-) The different dumpling's skin was very thick (-) Wu gok (taro fried) wasn't good Pricing is moderate.

Yelp
Quintessential dim sum that has never disappointed. My Cantonese family loves this spot and always raves at how good the food and prices both are! Win win! It's your stereotypical banquet hall style which is exactly what we love. There's nothing like an auntie getting to the point by putting a dish in front of your face saying "do you want????" Let's get to business and make our tummies happy.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. Delicious authentic Chinese delicasies. Excellent food and service. The Peking Duck and Ginger Lobster promotions are great. Every dish is superb.

Yelp
This place has push carts filled with all my favorites! We started with pan-fried turnip cakes, stuffed eggplant, and siu mai--definitely better with hot chili oil. I also tried shrimp balls for the first time, and they were tasty! The spare rib rice rolls were a hit, and I couldn't wait to dig into the crueller donut roll which I've been craving for a long while. I honestly prefer it without the sauces. With live seafood available, we ordered the special lobster with ginger and green onions, and it was amazing with the long e fu noodles. I love that there is live seafood in the aquariums which adds to the experience and the white table cloths and chandeliers add to the ambience. Dining here is so much fun, and I can't wait to come back and try even more, but definitely getting more baked salty egg yolk buns. Oh my gosh iykyk! Plan a day and check out all of the carts that roll by your table! Cheers! Btw free parking in their huge parking garage.

Yelp
We got sat in the back corner where it felt like minimal attentiveness. Usually they would ask what kind of tea we want and serve it right away, but we had to wait roughly 15 minutes to get the tea and dipping sauces. Food(3/5): The dumplings were nice and the meat was tender. I felt like the food was salty but it was still delicious. The mango pudding wasn't what I was expecting. I thought it was gonna be smooth but it was pretty grainy. The only thing that made up for it was the flavor. Service(4/5): It wasn't good at the beginning because the lack of attentiveness, but later it was fine. Although the food was delicious, I am unsure if I would come here again.

Yelp
'Push-cart dim-sum' used to be an experience that would leave you full, satisfied, and happy but I'm afraid not here! Especially, if you are really into "good" dim sum. It's unfortunately not worth it here... The service was very attentive (of course). The women pushing the carts were very good at bringing around the dim sum without any collisions! A few of the servers looked very annoyed with everyone which is expected! This is normal behavior for such a loud and chaotic scene of serving dim sum. The food??? A majority of the served dim sum dumplings left me wanting-- "better" quality and flavor. While it tasted exactly like the dumplings I expected, none of them impressed me at all. I actually was starting to think of better places I had dim sum elsewhere-- which obviously isn't a good sign. Would you bring your family and friends here? Sure, I guess. It's not terrible food at all. Now we are left full at the end of our meal and... unsatisfied. I have to give it 3 Stars for mainly the subpar/mediocre quality of Dim Sum --which is supposed to be the "star of the show"--and why you come to a place like this. I honestly would try going to some other dim sum location. It's okay to skip this one folks...
