Beer Specials, Happy Hours, and Pub Food: Here Are the Essential Philly Dive Bars | Eater Philly

"Atlantis the Lost Bar has a cool name and, for some bars, that would be enough. But this cash-only Kensington corner joint also has a pool table, rotating drinks specials, bloody marys with elaborate garnishes on Sundays, and chill bartenders." - Ernest Owens

Where To Have a Citywide And Complain In Philly

"So you were hyped about your vacation until the guy at PHL tells you they have no plane or pilot. Well, if you’re looking for a place to drink until you say absurd things like, “Fu*k it, I’ll fly the damn plane myself,” and worse, believe it, head to Atlantis: The Lost Bar in Kensington. The cash only dive has $4 Citywides, $5 TNTs (Tectate and tequilas), and $7 High & Hots (Miller High Life and Fireball shots). They have a friendly atmosphere that draws in locals for a round of darts and friends to watch games—which is probably why your pilot is at the stool to your left and not the airport. " - candis mclean

The Best Long Island Iced Teas In Philly

"This is one of those $10 harmonious Long Islands that makes you question if there’s actually liquor in it. If you’re like us, you’ll sip one at this Kensington bar while a guy walks in looking for Bruce Lee art. And once you’ve had two or three, you’ll be drunkenly asking the poster of the naked lady above the bar where she got her shirt. " - candis mclean

Atlantis: The Lost Bar - Review - Kensington - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"Atlantis: The Lost Bar is well-known in Kensington for its long bar, fun pool table area, and bloody marys and Long Islands that are so strong you'll be talking to paintings on the wall after two. But the friendly cash-only spot also has DJs on some nights, an extensive beer and cider menu, and you may run into a neighborhood chili cook-off on the weekend. There's no food menu, but Fiore and Circles + Squares are nearby if you want to eat some carbs in sandwich, pasta, or pizza form and then come in for a drink." - Candis R. McLean

Lively atmosphere. Neighborhood dive. Not my cup of tea. Art show was amazing.

Google
Great little hole in the wall bar. Friendly service, fair prices, pool table in good condition. Nice place to kill some time. Cash only.

Malorie DeGelormo

Google
Love this bar. The bartenders here are knowledgeable, experienced, and hold great conversations. It's cash only, but if you forget they do have an ATM inside. Definitely worth checking out!

Russ Jackson

Google
The best dive bar in fishtown. The bartenders are great and the music is always good, especially on weekends when they have a DJ. The bartender Frankie brings a Super Nintendo on Thursdays during the day. Nice touch.

Antonio Dittman

Google
Best bloody mary in all of philadelphia, make sure you ask for it "with the works." The bartender will know what it means. They might pretend they dont, but dont let em fool ya, they are real jokers at this spot.

Monday, July 29th 7pm Big guy behind the bar ignores me and my husband. Not even bothered to make eye contact to tell us he will take our order soon. He made us feel we are not welcomed there. Waited for a while and nothing… Horrible service. We left

My favorite local bar. Local flavor, local sensibilities. Make a new friend. Understand a new point of view. See an old friend, have a dynamite cocktail or a quality beer.

Yelp
Great dive bar with friendly staff, local character and beer! No food (do chips count?) and cash only. Also, it's across the street from a local brewery in a cool part of town.

Yelp
This place was a mess No one was behind the bar* So we straight up left *it was a Saturday at 8:30pm. Where was the bartender?

Yelp
Super laidback spot. Good selection of beer. The bartenders are incredibly nice, personable and fun/funny.

Yelp
Atlantis, The Lost Bar is a perfect dive for cold beer and perfect North Philly vibes. We stopped in for a few drinks early on a Friday evening, and found the bar simple but inviting. This is definitely a local spot, with what seemed to be a good mix of regulars and newcomers hanging out. The friendly bartender was happy to serve us a martini and tequila, followed by a couple of local drafts. A perfect and relaxing way to kick off the weekend.

Yelp
I've been living in the area for 5 years now, and Lost is my absolute favorite spot/go to. The bartenders are all absolute amazing (shoutout Frankie, Jay, Mag, and John), the prices can't be beat, the music is always top notch, the patrons are eclectic and super interesting, and the vibe is different (in the best possible way) depending on what day/time you're there. Jay makes amazing cocktails that incorporate fresh ingredients grown in his garden, and Meg's Bloody Mary is legendary. The music always slaps. One night it could be hip hop bangers from Jay-Z and 50, and the next night they could be spinning deep cuts on Indy/alt vinyls. The pool table is super fun, and some of the most chill/friendly regulars are always happy to get a game. I love this bar. An absolute gem! 10/10

Yelp
Great little dive, good city wide deals that are hard to come by in this part of fishtown.

Yelp
Nice bar great bartender, good drink give it a try. I like it and I recommend Atlantis the lost bar.

Yelp

Yelp
This is my new favorite dive bar! Great Atmosphere, Great Ciders, and Great People! I went here because I was passing by, and I loved the name- The Lost Bar, how cool is that. NOTE: they are cash only But that did not stop me! I went in and after a brief interrogation of the bartender (lol) I decided to get the black cherry cider they had on draft. It was only $5, it was in a huge glass filled to the brim, and it was DELICIOUS. I certainly recommend it. Not only do they have great ciders on tap, but they have the infamous city-wide ( which is typically a beer and a shot for $5) for only $3 , all the time! Who else does that?? They also have a few different versions of it, how fun ! The bartenders were super nice, the atmosphere was great with the many personal decorations, and the general crowd was very chilled and cool. I will definitely be returning!

Yelp
The perfect neighborhood dive. Since I moved to the neighborhood I've come here every Sunday that I don't work for a Bloody Mary. Usually, I'm kind of traditional and hate when they are overdressed with a ton of random stuff (here's looking at you, Anvil Pub in Dallas) because it is usually overcompensating for a crummy Bloody Mary. Here you get the second best bloody I've ever had but with the addition of shrimp, veggies, meat & cheese, etc with an old bay rim. Really delicious, $8, Sundays only. I usually come between noon-2 and have never encountered them being sold out. They also have a table that randomly has free food on it. Pizza, bagels, snacks. Or BYOFood! Dogs are allowed! Pigs are allowed! Great, funny, KIND bartenders! Rarely any jags here! Cash only but an ATM by the door ($2 fee).
google avatar

Yelp
I recommend this place for those who need their Bloody Mary Sunday morning fix. A crowd of us stopped in a few weeks back and had a great time at this place. Going again this Sunday for another fix.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this bar one night while looking for a bar with a pool table and, lo and behold, I find Atlantis. First noticed the couple of TVs and the low key vibe of the patrons. Bartender was very nice and friendly, helping me select a beer I might like amongst their vast selection. Settled on a Sour Monkey (love this beer!) and made my way to the single pool table they have not too far from the bar. Table costs $1 (bring quarters). The place itself is not that big, therefore attempting certain shots is difficult due to the close proximity of the sides of the table to the wall (and there are scuffs and scratches on said walls to prove it). Two restrooms are also in close proximity to the pool table which can interrupt play at times. Overall, solid lowkey bar with a great selection of beers.
google avatar

Danielle G.

Yelp
Oh boy do I love this place! Great atmosphere with an eclectic crowd. Great prices on drinks, and all the bartenders are charming in their own way. I've been coming here for years and will continue to do so as long as it's open. They have DJs at night and during the afternoon on Sundays. BTW, on Sundays, Mary makes the best bloody Mary in Philly, hands down. Free soft pretzels during the week for as long as they last. Make sure you bring cash and take a browse at monthly art show from local artists.

Yelp
I have to wrote this review it has me so surprised at the response I received from the individual working on 9/18/18 11:15 p.m. I ask the gentlemen sounds like an older bitter guy who hates his job " Do you have a pool table I wanted to confirm?" "Yes we have a pool table but you have to buy a drink this is not an arcade" not to mention I called because I seen this place on yelp seemed fun. Wow....was my reaction like who talks like that it was okay when he said you have to buy a drink but the ending this is not an arcade. I am from out of town looking for fun and to spend money not at your bar wouldn't even waste my night. Going to gayborhood! Good night!
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
I'm loving this place! I've been twice in the past month and just really dig the laid-back vibe. There are several TVs for sports-watching, plus a pool table. No food is served but you can BYO in that department which is awesome. Solid beer list and I love the local ciders that have been on tap. My only negative comment is that I've heard about the legendary Bloody Marys served at Atlantis but they were out both times we visited. Hoping to catch them on a stocked day soon so I can try one!
google avatar

Brian L.

Yelp
I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here. Came here on a whim with the roommate, who said he used to frequent this place (mostly because of the pool table). I found the "regulars" there to be a mix of odd, friendly, pompous, and jerkface. Not too crazy about the beers on tap. The bartender seemed like a cool guy at first, but ended up throwing up attitude when I wanted to order more brews but he was busy smoking a cigarette outside. That was our cue to leave.
google avatar

Brandon F.

Yelp
I stopped in here one Sunday for a Bloody Mary with my friend, expecting your typical variety with a stalk of celery and maybe an olive or two. Not here! What we were given instead was a drink topped with a towering assortment of garnishes, including shrimp, pickles, olives, a few types of peppers, meat and cheese, and more. I was not expecting it, and it was crazy in the best way possible. The drink itself was just right as well. I prefer mine on the spicy end, and this one did not let me down. $8 seemed like a bargain, all things considered. It's a dive bar, but it's clean and the bartender was friendly. These types of places are hit-or-miss, but I really liked it and have already been back.
google avatar

Kyle P.

Yelp
The place to go when the city has you down. If you aren't a dick they respond in kind. The bartenders are always willing to listen to you, being busy aside. The music varies from bartender to bartender, and the weekends have a rotating set of djs all playing something different so if you stop in regularly not only will you find music you like but people you will like to see again and again. That being said, they don't deal with entitled people well. Check your ego at the door and you will never have a bad time.
google avatar

Lance L.

Yelp
Cheap Kenzingers on tap, cleaner bathrooms than a neighborhood dive deserves, friendly bears and a pool table in the back. Watch out for the skinny guy named Tex, he's a legit pool shark and will take your money.
google avatar

Clea M.

Yelp
This bar looks sort of sketchy from the outside, but on the inside it's a cozy, laid-back place that hasn't been overrun by Fishtown hipsters yet. The beers (PBC) are cheap and when I went, they had free food for some reason! Free food is always a plus. The bartender cut his hand on some glass and, well, was under-staffed (just him), but overall the atmosphere was nice.
google avatar

Meredith K.

Yelp
It's time to write an update, since, ever since we moved to Kenzo, this has been our go-to bar. Now that the Pennsylvania Pale Ale is in the mix with the Joe Porter and the new Newbold, the tap list always has something that I like. The prices are reasonable, but I do have one gripe: why is the PPA $4? The Newbold ($3) has more alcohol and hops, so it seems that the PPA should also be $3. I also should add that the bartenders have never been rude to me. We have a great time at Atlantis, and the bartenders are one of its best assets!
google avatar

Craig N.

Yelp
MY father and I went here at 230 pm on a weekday to have a few and shoot pool. I'm 32, my dad is 58ish??? The female bartender would NOT serve my Dad without seeing his ID!! Are you kidding me?? True, we look like a couple of real Kenzo's, but that's absurd. This was over a year and a half ago, maybe it's better now, but I can't bring myself to step in the front door.
google avatar

Teresa D.

Yelp
I have lived here for less than a week, and my friend(who moved up with me) and I have been to this bar twice. Don't judge, we are jobless and homeless, we need to find happiness somewhere. All joking aside, I like this bar, it's small, it's cute, the bartenders are great. The first time we came, we played yahtzee, the second, we just talked to the bartender. Both experiences were just fine. I am starting to get used to the whole beer thing, I never knew I liked beer until I moved to Philly! You guys get serious with it, I will catch up, I promise.
google avatar

Anthony S.

Yelp
Spent some time drinking and playing pool here last Saturday night with a couple friends. Lost seems to be a pretty typical neighborhood bar but you get the feeling they're just waiting for all the hipsters to move in and take over. As I stood outside I could see that I could quite literally throw a rock and hit Philadelphia Brewing Company which may suggest why the PBC beers here are only 3 bucks. Cheap beer = good times! The pool table was a buck a game and plays pretty nicely as a matter of fact! Once the DJ came in around 11ish the party started - well at least in my head. She was playing some great classic 70s metal and glam rock - yeah, pretty cool! I'll be back Lost, don't go moving your island on me!!
google avatar

Leo M.

Yelp
I lived across the street from this bar. This was both good and bad. Good because I could easily stumble home after a night of drinking. Bad because I could easily stumble home after a night of drinking. Beers are cheap cheap cheap and delicious. Shots and other drinks likewise. The bartender is a doll and very friendly. The pool table and fishtanks are added bonuses. One downside - Bar is cash only. But there's an ATM in the bar. Try trivia on Thursday nights. Winners get a $25 certificate that they have to use that night. That's a lot of beer at Atlantis, where beers range from $2-4. Who needs Old City or NoLibs?
google avatar

Onias Timothy D.

Yelp
I live just a couple blocks from this place, making it by default my neighborhood dive. And what a dive! The management and staff at Atlantis have been able to run a straight to the point, no gimmicks 'drinking hole' despite the juggernaut of hipster-dom barreling north on Frankford Ave (see: Pizza Brain et al.). The staff is friendly but only as friendly as you let them be, the decor is 70'sish style wood paneling cast in red, and the drinks are cheap. Cheap, Cheap -- city wides for $3. They have exclusively PBC on tap, which probably has more to do with economics than street cred in light of the fact that the brewery is 50 feet away! Furthermore if you want something fancy its a good idea to know whats in it, Cocktails this is not. Come to think of it Atlantis is a bit of a chimera. Recently renovated and under newish management (last 3 years ?), it has been able to maintain its Kensington charm whilst attracting poor college students, in-the-know Jersy-ites, and Fishtown weekend warriors. It's an undercover gay bar that also caters to a healthy host of regulars. Quizzo's gone, which, in my opinion, was poorly run and something of a nuisance to the Kenzofish/East Kensington community, anyway. Bloody Mary's on Sunday afternoons!
google avatar

Ginger K.

Yelp
This is my favorite bar in Philly. Cheapest PBC in the city... and I think it is most likely the freshest since the brewery is right there. If you go on a Sunday you must try the Bloody Mary! It has to be the best one in the city but you need to get there early to get one because supplies are limited! We moved into the neighborhood about a year and a half ago and frequent this bar. The bar is filled with great people: employees and customers. The artwork changes once a month... and again PBC on tap for less than anywhere else in the area! What more could you ask for in? When there is a DJ the music is still at a volume that you can talk to people and not have to scream. I have to say when there are no sports on I get to learn how things are made or watch some great movies on demand.
google avatar

Paul Z.

Yelp
Really nice people, laid back atmosphere, reasonable prices on beer.
google avatar

James H.

Yelp
A great corner bar in an up-and-coming neighborhood. I moved here a couple of years ago and have been frequenting this spot for about a year and a half. The drinks are super cheap and all the draught beers are from the Philadelphia Brewing Company just across the street. The bartenders are great and the room is full of regulars. I highly recommend hanging out with the happy hour crowd. 'Cause ya know, sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name...
google avatar

Kristin G.

Yelp
Atlantis is where I go if I just want to grab a beer with some friends, or if I want a 6 pack and the beer distributor is closed. Their prices are reasonable and they're close to my house. I can usually run into someone I know there, if not no big deal. Sometimes I wish they served food, but you can always order a pizza from primo and they'll deliver it to you. cash only buddies, there is also a pool table...and a fish tank to stare at when you're lonely. In addition quizzo is thursday night at 8:30, I used to go every week for like a year, but I tuckered out of it (and lost my two school teacher team mates) I want to revamp team 'glitter on your wolf pussy' someday soon though.
google avatar

Mike G.

Yelp
OK, after 5 years now, Ive been so happy to watch this bar go from really good to simply great. They dont serve food but this chill vibe friendly bar gives out pretzes, peanuts and even bagels and cream cheese for free! I bring all my friends from out of town here and each of them fall in love with Atlantis, immediately.
google avatar

Tyler B.

Yelp
Gigantic bloody marys (weekends only). Allow dogs (except friday and saturday nights). Friendly staff and crowd. CHEAP philly beers ($3 bucks for most philly brewing co. beers). Cheap growler fills. Typically has bagels, pretzels, birthday cake, or other snacks. BOARD GAMES! City wide special. Pool table. 50 cent off happy hour during the week. Tis a wonderful bar!
google avatar

Jen S.

Yelp
This bar is great! Cheap drinks, nice people, and to top it all of there was a dog at the bar! Despite the "divey-ness" of this bar, the bathrooms were very clean and the service was attentive. I will definitely be returning! It's a great place for either a Sunday funday or casual night out.
google avatar

Ryan M.

Yelp
Atlantis: The Lost Bar First of all it's called the lost bar. So it's in the dive mindset. But it's loud large and in charge. Well, it's pretty small, but it's at the very north tip of anything worth anything on Frankford Ave for now. It looks like you'd find a bunch of 80 year olds bitching about from the outside, but it's as hipster as its allowed to be. Saturday night you'll find a cute DJ dancing along spinning songs much of which you've never heard but are in love with. There is a pool table, local art on the walls, free soft pretzels on the tables, and local beer. Really fucking local. Made across the street at the Philadelphia Brewing company. A pale ale for $3 all the time. Come be a local.
google avatar

Marianne M.

Yelp
Alright, so I have to admit that I bartend here 2 days a week, but I LOVE THIS PLACE! Having worked at several bars in Philadelphia, this one is the best--offering great music by local DJs, Quizzo, a pool table, Phillies on 4 TVs, and just an all around relaxed atmosphere. On top of being my favorite job, the patrons here are some of the most polite and gracious folks there are in the neighborhood. Ask me for some "Kensington shrimp" next time you're in!
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Atlantis Lost Bar....aka "the Corner Office" I love Atlantis. The staff is friendly and professional. The beers on tap are all PBC (which rules). Decent selection of bottled beer in the cooler. For takeout, you can beat the 8 for $8 of Budweiser. The Pool Table kicks ass. Remember, no quarters on the table...wanna play, sign up on the blackboard. Quizzo is fun. I think Irish John yells too damn much and it can be very annoying but I gotta admit he runs a good game. The booze here is cheap, the crowd is cool (occasionally it can be TOO hipster) but no meatheads, no fights or nonsense. The DJ's they hire rotate on nights, but I love Jason's set, and I also love Johnny Cisk on Sunday-Funday. I miss Alex, but I hear the Bloody's are still fantastic. I just miss him feeding me the leftover shrimp and ham. Bartenders: Can't beat Fred, Jason, Fritz, or Frankie..thay have other good bartenders, but these are the standouts (IMHO). Love Stan the bouncer. Spring/Summer/Fall grab some beers and take a break to toss the frisbee around. Winter Snow break out the football. Nothing better than the blizzards over the past two years for an adult snow day with friends down at The Lost Bar. I hope to see some of you again soon. Cheers, Darth
google avatar

Jon S.

Yelp
One of the best dive bars in Fishtown. Great beer selection (it's got domestics for anyone who isn't into craft beers) and it's BYOF(ood).
google avatar

Albi N.

Yelp
Let's start with the bad news. They only have PBC beer on tap, which is alright, but sometimes one can want a little more variety. Of course there are a lot of bottles. The prices are decent in general. They have free food very often, especially during sports games, and since they don't sell food it's okay to BYOP, the 'p' meaning pizza, of course other foods are acceptable too. The seating is limited, so on a busy night, this might be frustrating. I've noticed that the later the night gets the louder the music gets, so this might be something to consider if you want to have a conversation without shouting. On Sunday afternoons they sometimes have a bloody mary special that I think is the best bloody mary I've ever had (it includes a grilled shrimp). I don't know if this is every Sunday or not. On Thursday nights they have the best pub quiz in the city, possibly in the country, at least I think they still do that. I haven't been in a while. Other reviewers have complained about bartenders being weird. Personally, I have never experienced this. Other reviewers also complain about hipsters. It's true; there are hipsters there, but you don't have to be intimidated. It's not the type of bar where people are going to act snooty if you wearing the right clothing. Lord knows, my grandma buys most of my clothes for me and I have never felt out of place there.
google avatar

Caitlin V.

Yelp
While Atlantis is no frills, it does serve a selection of beverages that is a step up from your run of the mill corner bar. Lots of PBC on draft as the brewery is across the street. Bartenders are mighty nice. No matter how often or not you come here, they always make you feel like a regular. It can get a bit packed in here on a weekend night, and watch out for the guys playing pool (they might accidentally smack you in the eye because the space can be so small and you have to walk past them to get to the bathroom). I wish the big fish tank was still behind the bar. Really went with the whole Atlantis theme. Otherwise, there is art all over, but that's not really why you come to a place like Atlantis. You come for the (very) cheap mixed drinks, and you leave with a smile. I have never had a hard time here and I hope it stays that way.
google avatar

Jonny R.

Yelp
Six years ago I celebrated my twenty-first birthday here. And I've been going ever since. I spent way too much time and money here in my younger years and though it's not the bar that it once was, now almost seeming like a destination bar on weekends, it's still a great one. I came here a lot for dollar PBR Sundays, and even though that's gone, I still come here for a citywide every now and then. Bartenders are nice people, for the most part, occasionally arrogant and rude. But they don't need to be much more simply because this place is swarming now. Stick with the cheap stuff, though, PBC is rough.
google avatar

Walter K.

Yelp
I like this place for what it is. Sure, for the most part, it's filled with hipsters and recent transplants to the neighborhood. But for me, it's within walking distance. They have a pool table. You can bring in to go food. There's a memorizing fish tank. Lots of stuff to make this a decent place to drink. It's the PBC bar. They don't make the best beer, but I like supporting a local product and the brewery certainly has integrity. If it's slow, they don't have a problem with me bringing in my dog. Part owner, Renny, is a cool dude, and all of the bartenders are pretty chill. I don't go here too often, but I'm glad it's one of my options. Probably most importantly, it's a good place to watch the Phillies.
google avatar

Caroline L.

Yelp
It's nearly impossible for me to review restaurants because I simply don't care that much about food. Sit, scarf, scram. That's it for me. Restaurants feel like petty theft- I might as well empty my wallet at the door. Whereas bars are gathering places for me. I notice and appreciate the atmosphere more. Checked out the Atlantis last night for the first time with a friend who just moved around the corner from there. Both of us enjoyed it for the cheap beer, friendly bartender and eye candy. The place was crowded, but not packed on a Sunday night. Spent less than $10 for two hours of conversation- something that cannot be done at most Philadelphia restaurants. I'll definitely go back. It's close to home and a comfortable place.
google avatar

Kerry B.

Yelp
I'm sorry it took me so long to give an update. I've been going here a lot more in these past few months. All the bartenders I've had the pleasure of seeing have been truly kind and my boyfriend and I love coming here for a couple drinks after work. A very comfortable place to be, and anywhere that has my Fleur de Lehigh on tap is just righteous in my book. I'm sorry again for my laziness in an update. But go to this bar. It's fun, great atmosphere, great staff, and there's a nice naked lady chillin above the bar...
google avatar

Brad P.

Yelp
They have some really excellent paintings on the wall for a dive bar. Drinks are cheap and the crowd is friendly.
google avatar

Nerissa L.

Yelp
Just short of going to a distributor this is probably the cheapest place to get anything PBC. Every time I've been here there has been a good mix of people, and it's never too crazy or crowded (I usually go on Sundays or Tuesdays though, so I can't really speak for the weekend crowd). Also - don't forget Sunday night drink specials!

Yelp
I'm into the Philadelphia Brewing Co. beer selection on tap. Prices are reasonable. It's a good neighborhood hangout and not a locals only dive. A lot of people would be impressed by the apparent cool vibe that flows through Atlantis. Sometimes, though, it can get a little boring. There's no jukebox. Fine. But the DJ selection is highly questionable for a bar. I'm a big fan of all sorts of music, but drinking to boring classical, or jazz funk experimental, or hits from the 1940's can deflate a man's buzz. The TV is almost always on something boring...they will play local sports though, if you like that. And there's not much else to do at the place. There's one pool table. No stage for performance. No food which probably costs them a ton of business. Maybe that's what people like about it. Your only options are drinking and talking with neighbors. For those purposes, Atlantis gets the job done. It doesn't get any better than that. Or does it?

Yelp
D. I. V. E. bar! where everybody knows your name and you can make friends with an ex-convict and the lovely gentleman bartender. they get the newest PBC beers first and they're cheap! Last I was there as the last stop of my night out, an awful michael douglas movie was playing on their tvs. awesome! fishtank.

Yelp
Go-to spot for watching Eagles games this past season. Plenty of cheering and high-fiving at the bar. $1 PBR during games (maybe all day?). Free bagels and cream cheese. $8 Bloody Marys that are delicious and loaded with crazy stuff on top (including a whole shrimp and a slice of salami and cheese rolled up) that's half a meal by itself. Lots of PBC on tap. $3 city-wides always. Good prices for everything.

Yelp
Great inexpensive bar, but TINY. One a busy night, the tables and chairs might as well be made of platinum, they are rare. But the beer selection is decent, the staff is fairly nice. CASH ONLY, ATM by the door. As a cheapskate I prefer El Bar just because the Pabst is a tallboy instead of a normal sized can at Atlantis, but that's just being picky. But both are cheap and good for a value conscious night out. Quizzo Nights are apparently pretty good!

Yelp
Excellent bar, not as hipstery as the bars a few blocks south and they let me bring my dog!
