"A new opening in Dalston, Attawa, is cooking its full menu of Punjabi cuisine for delivery and takeaway. There’s samosa, chaat, tandoor chicken, curries, and lots more." - oliver feldman, heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak

"Amazingly, Attawa opened a few months into lockdown. The Punjabi restaurant around the corner from Dalston Junction operated on a make-do takeaway basis, but indoors, dimly-lit with cocktails flowing, is where it's best. The extensive menu spans from soft shell crab to tandoori paneer to dhal maakini and much of it is very tasty. Vegetarian dishes, ike the stuffed baby aubergine tadka, are particularly good, and its six-variety-strong bread selection of naan and parathas is excellent." - Jake Missing

Amazing Indian food, very small an quiet restaurant. Service is the best, and food delicious. We came here following the reviews and it wasn’t a mistake, definitely recommended if you like Indian food, all super well presented and full of flavour. We definitely come back. We were four and all this dishes were more than enough, portions are good, they look small but when you start eating is not

I visited last night and I was left speechless. Food was so delicious, and so full of flavour that I discovered taste buds, I never knew existed. Without a doubt the best Indian restaurant in London. Customer service was awesome, great family run restaurant, and the story behind the name was beautiful. Looking forward to take my friends and family there. If I had to recommend a dish and a drink, although it is a tough choice, it would be the lamb chops and the old fashioned.

One of the best Indian food places in the capital! The place has a nice cosy ambience and the staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The Chicken kebabs were otherworldly, the best I've had in many years. The chicken kari was amazing as well but little on the spicier side. Though remember if you plan to go on a weekend, book around 1 week in advance!

Great place! Highly highly recommend for date night! Must try their Palak Papdi Chaat, never had anything quite like this before. The lamb biriyani was also super delicious, as was the tandoor paneer. Staff was very friendly and talked us through our dishes. Atmosphere was also quite nice too!

Best Indian food in East London. If I could eat with my eyes I would’ve ordered the whole menu. It was my first experience with Indian food and I was not disappointed. Each dish had amazing flavours. We had the masala prawns, patiyala lamb gosht, amritsari fish and some sides. Chefs Kiss honestly. The staff are really attentive and are really helpful with recommendations. It’s a pleasure to be there. And the cocktails yummmmmm!!

Really delicious. Good menu. Good service. Decent prices. Overall really enjoyed. Cocktails could do with being a bit stronger.

Really delicious food, with characteristic atmosphere that takes you away from crowded DALSTON. Highly recommended the lamb curry!

Our new favourite Indian restaurant in London! Family owned, phenomenal flavourful food, and an intimate atmosphere. Don’t miss the Palak Papdi Chaat starter or the Kheer & Jelebi dessert. We can’t recommend this place more highly - the food is divine!
