The Hottest New Restaurants to Try Around Baltimore

"Any Baltimorean worth their salt has been to Attman’s Delicatessen since it opened on “Corned Beef Row” in 1915. In January, the beloved Jewish deli added fancier digs just down the street in Harbor Point, but kept the same classics like matzo ball soup, fork-tender brisket and pastrami, and stacked Reuben and Cloak & Dagger sandwiches. The new location, which marks the third for the Attman family, boasts the addition of house cocktails, according to The Baltimore Banner, including a Pickletini with homemade pickle juice." - Jess Mayhugh, Tierney Plumb

Google
Good food and great service. This is the kind of place you can go to and order the same thing all the time (mom & pop/hometown, comfort vibe) or order something different every single time you visit (the menu is plentiful). Lots of desserts to try too.

Welcome to the B.

Google
Great location right down from the harbor. Cool place that has been around over 100 years. Very clean restaurant with plenty of seating. Food was great and plentiful. Food was truly authentic to the area with great taste. Only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars was the very slow service.

Attman's Deli at Harbor Point in Baltimore is a gem that truly lives up to its reputation. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels like a slice of history. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making you feel right at home. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Their corned beef sandwiches are legendary—piled high with tender, flavorful meat that melts in your mouth. The crispy potato knishes are the perfect complement, and their menu offers a variety of savory options that cater to every craving. It's clear that they've mastered the art of deli cuisine. If you're in the Harbor Point area, do yourself a favor and visit Attman's Deli. It's more than just a meal—it's an experience that celebrates great food and great service. Highly recommended!

Really good just not the same as the other ones. Something small was lost in translation. Stopped in on a coupe Saturday afternoons and there was no one behind the counter. It feels like the meat is precut. Still very good brisket and corned beef and I could be wrong but not a deli-like experience. Feels a little like a chain place now. Still recommended. It was 3 of us, 3 sandwiches (even the regular size is huge), which come with the best chips, and a few chocolate top cookies (a little dry$, $65. Not a bad idea experience, just had higher expectations.

I ordered a sandwich from the Fells point location through a delivery app. The sandwich was prepared and packaged well, but it was completely flavorless. It didn't taste like corned beef at all. The texture of the meat wasn't the same either, im not convinced it was even corned beef. I've been going to Attmans on Lombard St for years and was never disappointed until Sunday.

I had one of the most unprofessional and alarming experiences I have ever encountered at a restaurant. My order was incorrect with missing chips, the wrong soda, and the wrong soup. I paid delivery fees and a tip, yet still had to drive to the restaurant myself to get the order corrected. When I called ahead to address the issue, the front-of-house manager refused to give her name, hung up on me multiple times, and was incredibly condescending. She called me “sweetie” and “love bug,” yelled throughout the call, and insisted I needed to contact Uber for a refund even though I never requested a refund. I simply wanted the items replaced. She then claimed she was yelling because she is deaf in one ear and asked if I understood that people who are deaf speak loudly. I shared that my brother has the exact same disability, yet her behavior was not loud speech. It was aggressive yelling. When I informed her that I would be filing a complaint, she said she did not care because it was “a family restaurant.” Upon my arrival, she escalated the situation again in front of multiple witnesses. I have video documenting her behavior. What made this even more disturbing is that she called the police on me and falsely implied that I was aggressive. As a Black customer interacting with a white manager, this type of false accusation is not only discriminatory but extremely dangerous. Weaponizing the police in this way puts lives at risk and has no place in any community, especially one as diverse as Baltimore. This manager should not be in a leadership position. Her behavior was unprofessional, hostile, and completely unacceptable. I will also be filing a formal complaint with the BBB along with video evidence of the incident. I hope ownership takes this seriously, because no customer should ever be treated this way.

Melissa and the team at Attman’s are the absolute best! They make you feel like you’re at home when you’re dining there and they always come out with a treat for Goose when we’re out on walks.

Decided to give this place another shot after having a disappointing experience when it first opened, and it was excellent this time. Huge portions, fresh chips, amazing pickle bar, and the waitress went above and beyond too. We’ll definitely be coming back a lot now.

Yelp
Menu = just what you'd want in a Jewish deli. Food = delicious Space = clean and modern, in a great East Harbor neighborhood by a hotel and several nearby large businesses. Pickle bar = free and delicious, grab a container or a plate and enjoy! Service = behind the counter efficient and hardworking. Table service = terrible, at least for outside diners. We gave up and went inside to order take out. The guys behind the counter on the grill were working and working and working as this is a busy little place even early on a Sunday morning. They have a refrigerator case inside with some good options for grab and go and a full bar with seating.

Yelp
We biked from Patterson Park to Harbor Point so we could try the new Attman's! I loved the classic Lombard street storefront, but it was small and cramped for such a booming business. The Harbor Point location has all the space you need, plus a new upscale look and feel for the deli we all know and love. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by three employees and quickly sat down at the bar. Our server, Anna, was so sweet and friendly, she told us all of the specials and the free pickle bar (with more than just pickles!), and gave us a flyer before we left on their St Patty's weekend celebration. Alas, we didn't try the pickle bar this time because we were absolutely stuffed from sharing the large (it's stuffed with meat) portion of the Turkey Pastrami. I've never had turkey pastrami before and it was so delicious. It came with homemade kettle chips and we also ordered a side of potato salad, which was delicious but we could barely eat it after the sandwich. We also had a spicy margarita and a cucumber mojito from the bar. That's right, Attman's has a bar! The drinks were great and the prices were on point. I've always loved Attman's and I love it more in this great new space!

Yelp
This was my first time at an Attman's but I've heard great things about it. Decided to give this a try during lunch. The place was quite full with diners at tables and people waiting for their to go ordered. I placed a to go and ordered the Chicken Breast Sandwich crispy topped with lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions and with a so called Russian sauce on the side recommended by the cashier. I'm glad I got the grilled onions which gave the sandwich some flavor because unfortunately, the Russian sauce was not included. My order also came with a side pickle and a bag of Utz chips. The sandwich was good but I definitely want the sauce next time. The staff here are also quite friendly. Overall, this is a good and casual lunch spot. It's a great location for all the workers in the offices around the Harbor Point area to come to.

Yelp
Still the best pastrami in the city, even at the new location! So glad that they open closer to my house and I can walk to it, I hope there isn't a cholesterol spike in my future! I love the classic old Jewish deli and this is like a shiny brand new version of the classic, bright and clean and even has a pickle bar! I discovered it 2 days ago and I'm back again today, I think that says it!

Yelp
Loved this place!! The pastrami sandwich, Kenish and Dr Brown's cream soda brought me back to my childhood in Brooklyn. The menu choices are amazing and everyone in my group enjoyed their meals. The service at the counter friendly and fast. Will definitely go back next time I'm in Baltimore.

Yelp
The charm city feel of the original location will never be replaced, but how nice to have a bigger, inviting, open space to have delicious sandwiches...and drinks! There is the usual restaurant seating (booths and tables), outside seating, a walk-up counter and to-go items, and bar area with tables, so whatever your mood, you will get happily fed. Staff was lovely, bartender Faith was attentive and kind. The sandwiches come 1/4, 1/2 and full pound (for the most part). There are TV's and both unisex and family bathrooms. One falter was the macaroon...it was dense, not the airy but sticky weave of coconut that my mom used to make. I'll try something else next time. And looking forward to that next time :)

Yelp
I've always heard good things about Attman's but never went until it opened in my building! I love the Jewish deli atmosphere- they really hit it right on the spot!! The bagel sandwich I got was the closest thing to a NYC bagel sandwich that I have ever had in Baltimore! The service was so fast and the staff was incredibly nice! I love the variety of foods they serve and the seating is very cute. Excited to go back to check out the bar.

Yelp
I work right next to Attman's, this is their brand new location which I watched open and grow. They have have nice friendly environment. Employees are nice. They have a bar area to sit at, a dinning area with booths and also outdoor seating. Menu is big a lot of different items. Bathrooms are very clean and nice as well. I would recommend trying if you're into this type of food. Corned beef is good if you like to eat that.

Yelp
Stopped by for a Hapoy Hour drink to check out the Attmans location - terrific location and friendly staff. Like the mix of a deli with a fun bar. Casual and inviting! Service was great - everyone was friendly. Will be back.

Yelp
Great service and wonderful food. Visited twice in two days. Day 1 was breakfast and everything was hot and fresh. Day 2 was lunch, the burger, Reuben & Club were enjoyed by the table. Wide variety on the menu and a full bar attached.

Yelp
The food was spot on. Coming from NY this was the first food in Baltimore that tastes like New York style food. The server's were new and very attentive. If you like NY style Delicatessen's you will also like Attman's. This will be one of my go to biweekly restaurants.

Yelp
I don't know how this can be currently rated 3.7. It is delicious and huge portions! It is definitely worth a try.

Yelp
have been going to attmans on Lombard street for years. decided to try new location and was profoundly disappointed. Service was painfully slow and the briskets my wife and I ordered were so fatty and tasteless that we threw them in the trash. Very unfortunate because we want them to be successful, but wonder how long they will last with food this bad.

Ken G.

Yelp
I thought I would try it. Got three eggs with toast and Hash browns. The toast was a little burnt and the hash browns were undercooked. There was no flavor to any of it, a little salt and pepper goes a long ways. The total was 12 dollars. Not worth going back.

Yelp
We went they had just been open a day so I'm sure they are still settling in. The matzo ball soup and latkes were okay but not nearly as traditional as I imagined for a Jewish deli. Decent but pricey for quality.

Amy S.

Yelp
Started off okay with being seated. Very nice hostess. Took forever for our waitress to come over and even take our drink order. Waited 40+ minutes for a bagel and a sandwich. The turkey was inedible. It tasted so old and had a horrible odor. On top of that they had a ton of servers but they were too busy talking to each other to wait on the tables. I love the original location of Attman's but would never come back here for anything. Waitress was Katie M.

Linda B.

Yelp
Decor was inviting. Food was mediocre at best and service was dreadful. The Maryland crab soup got good comments but the rare roast beef was served well done.

Jessica L.

Yelp
I work within walking distance and was very excited for a deli like this to open, however the prices do not equate to the food provided. I had the Little Italy sub and it was not a $17 sandwich, nor do I believe most of my coworkers will pay that much for lunch on a regular basis. At least it could have come with chips or something. Unfortunately, the feedback I've heard around the office was similar. I'm really hoping things turn around.

Paul M.

Yelp
I've gotten carryout from this location twice because I work within walking distance. I'm thankful that there is a place nearby to grab lunch during a busy day. Unfortunately, both times I have been unimpressed with what I got. The first time, I got the Little Italy Italian Hoagie. On this day, Attman's was out of hoagie rolls. For $17 - I had much higher expectations. The sandwich was good, the meat was fresh, but in my experience, it was closer to a $12 sandwich. The second time I decided to try the 1915 Ruben. Again, it was fine, however for $20, I expected more. I will have to try dining in to see if the experience is different.

Kimberly N.

Yelp
I took my client here because she loves the original location and she wanted to see the new location. After waiting almost 30 minutes to place an order that came out cold. My client asked that we never return.

Melisa K.

Yelp
best sandwich ever this sandwich melt in your mouth i bought 112 dollors worth roast beef on a kaiser rolls and eat it by my self
