The location on Lombard St. is an authentic experience of a traditional Jewish deli. The walls are lined with interesting photos and history. The menu is huge and will have something for everyone. The portions are large, so you can share and try even more items. The line-ups are long, so be patient. You can dine-in or take out. Bring cash and a large appetite!

June 2025: I ordered a cloak and dagger at Camden Yards. This was a corned beef sandwich with coleslaw and Russian dressing. My sandwich was very tasty 😋. Had a lot of corned beef. Coleslaw and Russian dressing were great compliments to the corned beef. Would definitely eat this again. Note that this review was for the Camden Yards location. I think if you eat at the non stadium location, the food would be even tastier! Will definitely come back again and try the food at the non stadium location.

AMAZING food. The best corned beef and pastrami I ever had. So juicy and plenty of food. Pictured below is a corned beef sandwich on rye bread and a pastrami sandwich on rye as well.

Ordered takeout two Rubens one side order of fries. The Rubens were good warm when we got home the fries were cold though and the fries are cut western style, but they’re small maybe 2 inches in length didn’t like the fries at all, but the portion sizes were humongous serve inside there a line out the door so while you order ahead of time quick in and out, took me less than a minute to get my food and get out. I didn’t see if they had seating in the back. You could sit down and eat, but I’m pretty sure they probably do. I would definitely go there again and definitely order the Reuben, but I would not order the fries. Fries were the only disappointment but then again it’s fries The picture is of half a sandwich. I already ate the other half and you can see it so huge sandwich compared to the can soda next to it. I will definitely go there again but the fries I will not be ordered and it should’ve came with a pickle and a small side bag of chips for 15 bucks

Sandwiches are hard to beat. The service is fast and courteous. Seating can get cramped at high traffic times, so not always a good idea to go during peak lunch rush. Highly recommended, if you enjoy a really good deli sandwich. My favorites are the Tongue fu and the Stu Special. The potato latkes are really good too. Don't skip the kosher dill pickle.

So happy I was able to get to this fantastic Jewish Deli. A large selection with helpful staff and an interesting space for checking out. The pastrami, hotdogs, pickles, etc. are amazing.

Google
Great little vintage sandwich place. Offering New York style corned beef and pastrami sandwiches. Prices are reasonable considering the thickness of the sandwiches that they offer (around 13.00). Love hidden little vintage Baltimore finds such as this place! Dining is also available in the shop. Haven't tried the desserts, but looks good and reasonably priced too.

Delicious. A bit pricey but huge portions! Got the Reuben, would ask for extra sauce next time but would definitely go back! Also get the pickle, juicy and crunchy!

Yelp
Catching up on Yelp reviews and I visited back in June. I visited DC, Baltimore, and Philadelphia for a baseball stadiums trip with some buddies to knock those stadiums out of the park... Attman's is located in the Jonestown neighborhood, which is about 1.5-mile east of the Inner Harbor. I am a huge fan of pastrami and corned beef sandwiches and I heard Attman's is one of the best in the nation! I arrived on a Sunday around 11:30am for lunch and there was a small line. I could see this place being packed at times, but the line moved efficiently. There was a small sit-down area in the next room (very similar setup of Mr. Beef on Orleans in Chicago). I ordered the Stu Special (Corned beef, pastrami, Swiss, Cole slaw, and Russian dressing on rye). The corned beef and pastrami were hot, rich, tender, juicy, perfectly sliced so it was great. The russian dressing was great. Typically it's too watered down, but this was saucier. Their housemade mustard was excellent. It was a little bit of Dijon and thick. They were not giant sandwiches like Katz Deli or Manny's Deli. Price was $25 for the sandwich, drink, and chips. Well worth the price and a visit!

Yelp
I heard about Attman's in the Sporkful podcast, and being in Baltimore it was the perfect opportunity to visit, and give them a try. This is one of those locations you step back into time when you walk in. Pretty nostalgic if you ask me. The hotdog was served quickly and I enjoyed the overall experience. The prices are a bit high in my opinion for a hotdog, but again you also pay for the experience. Great spot to visit for sure.

Yelp
This visit was long overdue. I've been craving a good corned beef sandwich for months now and after being let down and unsatisfied, I had to go and make it right. Like the saying goes...if you want corned beef done right, let Attman's do it. Or however it goes. I was about the 8th person in line and I think everyone before was getting the same thing! The meat is cut just right. I was being greedy so I got double meat, along with mustard, onions and provolone cheese. I think I should apologize to them for even going somewhere else. Also, don't be deterred if you see a long line when you arrive. It tends to move quickly as there are multiple employees taking orders and preparing your food.

Yelp
I love Attman's deli! It has a nostalgic vibe that captures the essence of a true New York deli experience. This place is all about no-frills, no-gimmicks, just good old-school deli sandwiches and more. The ambiance, décor, and interior design gives off a charming feel, which adds to its overall appeal of this classic deli. The deli offers a wide variety of signature sandwiches and breakfast options, with the added flexibility of customizing your sandwich. In addition to the main menu, they have a great selection of appetizers, soups, salads, hot dogs, chips, and baked goods. I opted for the Chelsea Club on rye, and it was delicious. It was a lot larger than I expected but had great flavor and was perfectly dressed. The turkey was fresh, and the bacon had the right amount of crispiness. I truly enjoyed this sandwich. The deli can get quite busy, and placing an order may seem a bit chaotic and disorganized at times. Despite the hustle and bustle, the deli staff are attentive and actively check on customers to ensure they are being helped. While the ordering process can be a bit hectic, the quality of the food and the nostalgic charm make it worth the visit. It is a must-visit for anyone craving an authentic deli experience.

Yelp
No complaints what's so ever. The service was great , my salad was made to perfection. I the ambiance inside is simple ... not much to it . But the staff is friendly and the food is good.

Yelp
Yummers ... I went at 11am no line no wait full street available for parking. Corned beef row I prefer attmans over Weiss but today I went for a hot dog.... It was just ok. Didn't sit in but lots of seating available.

Yelp
This place is like coming home because of fond memories here. My family would come to the area for fresh chickens and fresh meat. This area was one of the top places in Baltimore to get fresh items. But things do change. I was last here with my mother in 1998 for the corn beef and it still taste the same. I had today the corn beef and the roast beef. The corn beef was made to order that was with rye bread and mustard. This is the way my dad likes his and I am a traditionalist. The sandwich was warm and tasty from the first to the last. The sandwich is big enough for two but hey this is just too good to share. Get your own! The roast beef was also good and tender. Delicious. I had this the same way as above. Not too fatty. Some places give you a lot fat with it but this was spot on. Also big enough for two and no sharing allowed. The place is not too far from the inner harbor and parking can be a bear. Their is parking in the rear but it can be tight as well. Inside you will have a line ahead of you. The staff seem to know everyone and since the food is good, a lot of frequent flyers. They are very knowledgeable and will help you with ordering. They do have a small area to sit down and eat. They are very busy so it is best to order ahead. Finally, I saved the best for last. The classic dill pickle. When I was a kid this was the best part of the meal. Yes. my desert. The pickle was delicious, crisp with the right amount of spice and sourness. Just a thing of beauty. Still taste the same too. This place is an institution a love letter from a time gone bye. This place is highly recommended. Cheers!

Yelp
We used to go to Attman's Deli all the time. The food used to be great and the portions used to be generous. The last few times we've been there, I have no idea what's happened to the quality of their food. They barely put any corned beef on their sandwiches these days. I purchased six sandwiches today and they skimped on the meat on all six. I called the restaurant and spoke with a "Steve", allegedly a manager. I tried to explain the situation to him, and he swore that he personally cut six ounces of meat for each sandwich himself, and refused to listen to reason. He wasn't even the person that made my sandwiches so how would he know how my sandwiches looked. You be the judge yourself. I think I need to find a different corned beef spot moving forward. I'm not wasting my hard-earned money at a place that doesn't care about customer service or satisfaction, or the quality of their food. "Corned Beef Row" should just be called "Row".

Yelp
It's been a year since we last stopped in here ! It has not changed except we grabbed 2 pounds of the Best Corned Beef in Baltimore and a loaf of their Fresh Rye Bread and their Homemade Potato Salad The line to order is always long but moves fairly quickly, service is also always on the money. There is a small parking lot next to the deli, so you really don't need to park on the street, the area is in an older part of the city. Inside has not changed, the area to eat if you choose to do so is rather neat, walls are filled with historic photos over the years, very interesting to check them out. Always Highly Recommend

Yelp
Mmmm, love a good deli! Found this place by chance and it was quiet when we walked in. Apparently that's abnormal because every person who walked in after us commented on how they have never been there before without a line. Seems like it's for a good reason too. We kept our sandwiches simple with roast beef and turkey. Super yummy and a generous helping of meat. The real star here is the pastrami. The owner (I assume), gave us each a sample and it melted in my mouth! Will be ordering that sandwich next time we go instead. The deli counter is long and there is a section to sit at to the left when you walk in. Classic and delcious!

Yelp
This place has the best service and vibe! I got the matzoh ball soup and it's the best I've found in baltimore. So glad to have somewhere good to go for some Jewish penicillin! Huge matzoh balls!

Deidre D.

Yelp
The chocolate cake was not moist I was extremely despite its outward appearance. Matzo ball soup was more like chicken noodle soup with a matzo ball added to it. Service was slow and the place was fairly empty

Yelp
This is EXCATLY what you've been looking for in a deli. I got a Regular Hot Pastrami on Rye. The pickle and homemade kettle chips have OVER the moon!

Yelp
No frills, excellent sandwiches, very traditional Baltimore spot. I love this place. And the people are very friendly even though it feels like you have to yell in there... and be ready to order!! It's a deli so keep it moving. Hazza Rye and Reuben are fire
google avatar

Yelp
Come for the history and order wisely. It's the oldest family-owned deli in the country first opened in 1915. Today, it's a no-frills deli with staff who have worked there for decades. The menu is huge with sandwiches to desserts to chips and desserts. My group of seven ordered the chicken salad sandwiches, pastrami on rye, kishka, pickles, a Caesar salad, and chicken tenders for the kids. The only items that stuck out as noteworthy were the pickles and kishka. Everything else was okay. If you stay, go to the dining room where you'll read about the deli's history and notable guests over the decades.
google avatar

Andrew B.

Yelp
The sandwiches really are wonderful, the Reuben is worth the hype, but for the prices I wish the portions were a bit more generous. Everyone in my household was happy with the food they ordered, and while it is certainly worth stopping by whenever I'm in the neighborhood, I don't think it will usurp other options I have within walking distance when I'm hungry. We ordered delivery so I can't presently speak to the service or atmosphere inside.

Yelp
Im not here to rain on anybodys parade but I was not impressed with the corned beef sandwich I got. Across the street was Jacks, line out the door back in the day, hot corned beef pulled out of hot water sliced up fresh and hot in front of you. Needless to say it was thick cut and juicy and nobody bothered to weigh each pile of meat, no time for that, piled high. You could ask for the lumber jack if you wanted an extra large size. Next was the deli hot dog area to get a deliscious fried baloney on your deli hot dog. Yes I realize the day of a criwd gatherd in a long line out the door kind of demand, but the cold corned beef scaled then heated by microwave I got at Attmans doesn't cut it. Can you imagine going to Katz Deli in NY and they did that? That would be the end of them!
google avatar

Yelp
I wish I could marry these sandwiches, every single one. Attman's is a Baltimore staple and once you get your order, you know why. The sandwiches are piled high with meat, even the hot dogs come with extra meat, and it is sooooo tender and delicious. I can't even describe it - it's just that insanely good. A warning to the more timid of us: this is a fast-paced deli where they are churning out orders all day long. Come prepared, know your order, say it with confidence, then step back and wait. You will get yelled at if you lallygag and some of us could be really embarrassed. And if you do get yelled at, don't worry - it happens to the best of us and you're about to get the best sandwich ever! The Stu Special was calling my name as I was craving both pastrami and corned beef, and it satisfied both cravings 10x over. I ate exactly half of my sandwich and then had to take a nap to digest. My fiancée ate his half of the Nosh on Rye before I could take three bites of the Stu Special, so o guarantee you it was delicious, I just didn't taste it myself I've never has knishes before and the potato was great, I'll definitely try the meat knish next time! And the great thing about Attman's is there are so many sandwiches, you never have to have the same one twice.

Yelp
Ok first let's start by saying if you are feeding two or more people and plan on spending at least $80 out of the gate. Second the food: the sandwiches were large and really good all three of us had the pastrami on rye a brisket hot did was ordered and shared between two people and three bags of chips and two sodas. Grand total was $83.00 and change. Now the downfall: the sandwiches the pastrami was heated in a microwave oven not on a flattop grill, if I am going to spend that much money on mere sandwiches I at least want them heated on a flat top grill. There was a person (worker) behind the counter who smelled like they hadn't showered in a year, very strong body odor. Thank goodness they didn't have anything to do with making our sandwiches. With that said the people who did make our food didn't wash their hands or wear food safety gloves. The sandwiches were really good but nothing special especially for a place who has been in business for over 100 years I was expecting to be floored by a great sandwich to be honest Chaps pit beef has a better corned beef sandwich and they make and heat the meet on a charcoal grill. The hotdog was good great snap and ok flavor but again heated in a microwave. Service was third tier no smile no bend over and take it after charging over $80 for microwave heated sandwiches. As for the place itself it is kind of a stroll down memory lane. An old building that has many memories and pictures on the walls. Two and a half stars would have been a stretch for this well established sandwich shop that is a Baltimore icon! My advice is spend wisely and try and find another place that wants and works for your business because here they have clearly lost sight of what is important and that's great food with exceptional customer service.

Yelp
A true Jewish deli with great staff and delicious food! The deli sits by itself tucked away from the main city area but worth a visit! We went around 12:45 on a Sunday afternoon and it was not super crowded but there was definitely a line. I have heard this place can get very packed so be warned! The line moves quick though. They have a large selection of sandwiches and other sides, desserts and hot dogs! We got the sandwich special (w/ latkes) and the Nosh Sandwich with a side of coddies and onion rings. In terms of the food, the portions are GENEROUS! The onion rings were also a plus, nice thick pieces and super crunchy! The coddies on the other hand, I will never get those again. The texture was almost like you were biting into a soggy piece of bread and no cod flavor whatsoever. The sandwiches were delicious on a nice piece of rye bread and a heaping handful of meats on each sandwich. I would recommend eating there as it will taste better fresh. There is plenty of street parking available and seats inside.

Yelp
Old school Jewish deli with no nonsense counter service, love it. The old timer interior decorations reflect that attitude. You better be ready to order when it is your turn. Mrs and I decided to keep it simple for our lunch, so that we could appreciate the smoked meat. Mrs went with corned beef, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing on rye. I went with a pastrami with yellow mustard on rye. Both sandwiches were overflowing with meat. The meat was tender and full of flavor. Prices were affordable, cheaper than what we paid in Houston. The only suggestion we had was to use thicker sliced bread. We can't wait to return. The line was long when we arrived and even longer when we left. Street parking only.

Yelp
Attmans is the place to be! A great stop for a quick bit-everything from sandwiches to pound cakes to Matzo ball soup. It's quite busy but service is efficient and food is dependable and good and fresh.
google avatar

Steve R.

Yelp
Visited today and was looking forward to trying one of my favorite sandwiches the Reuben. The corned beef was delicious and plentiful but the rye was a bit thin and not crispy at all which and the dressing very thin and watery. As usual the pickle was amazing. Definitely didn't leave hungry but to be honest next time I'll stick with a pastrami or corned beef sandwich.

Yelp
At the soft opening, The food was spot on. Coming from NY, this is the first place in Baltimore that tastes like a NY jewish deli. The food was great. The servers were very attentive.

Yelp
Baltimore's best delicatessen! If you're looking for an old world deli in Baltimore, look no further. Simply THE place!

Yelp
Not much to this place. Typical old school Jewish deli serving up giant sandwiches. Been to half a dozen of these in various cities and this one isn't any better or worse. This place was pretty empty which is unusual for these types of places. This was my first time there and the menu is large spread across the entire restaurant on the wall. It wasn't clear where to order, at the front near the register or further toward the back. I wondered toward the back before someone who could barely see over the counter asked me for my order. He wasn't sure what I ordered and had to look at the menu himself then ended up asking someone else what it was. Didn't bother to write it down as I wanted multiple things. Before I could even finish he started making the sandwich which I wanted to modify slightly. It made the whole ordering process very complicated. The sandwich was somewhat bland and not special but good nonetheless. I got roast beef and turkey. Easy to screw up but hard to make it more than it was. Hefty sandwich for an even heftier price tag. Probably not worth the price but if you've never been it probably worth at least trying once. Western fries were bland potato wedges which really no flavor or seasoning. They were precooked sitting under a warmer so not made to order. They didn't offer any condiments and when I got to my hotel I noticed there weren't any in the bag either. So all I had to judge them on was how they pulled them out of the warming basket. Would not recommend these. For this place to be in business 100 years they have to be doing something right. I'm not a fan of pastrami or corned beef which is more or less what they are known for and clearly their specialty. But I do enjoy trying these places. I would have expected this place to be busier than it was as the others I've been to (slymanns) always has a line out the door. I can't say whether this place is still what it used to be but my experience on my first visit was luke warm at best. Glad I tried it but I doubt I'd be back.

Yelp
It has been some time since I have popped in here for a Reuben. The line is always long during the lunch hour, but the sandwiches here are worth it. I ordered the Reuben for me and corned beef with Swiss for hubby, plus grabbed drinks, chips, onion pickle and and dill pickle. They treat every customer like family, and it is always good to see familiar faces. Sorry I did not photograph my meal, but trust me, the sandwiches are worth getting from here! #bmoresbestcornedbeef

Allison S.

Yelp
In town for work, and I was stalking this menu for days, excited to get a huge sandwich! I ordered a jumbo Stu's Special (corned beef, pastrami, swiss, and coleslaw) with extra lean meat as takeout, and honestly, I was sad there wasn't a way to add extra cheese. This was a $28 sandwich, and I was ready for something ridiculous. I live in SoCal, and I can get a pretty stupidly sized sandwich for $22. What I got? Not jumbo, no cheese or slaw, and if this is extra lean, I'm a monkey's uncle. At least the house made chips were good.

Yelp
The best best best corned beef sandwich in the DMV in my humble opinion! Classic and authentic. Been coming here since 1993 and it's owner and staff know what they're doing. Spicy Mustard is amazing, can't get enough and the rye bread is oh so soft and fresh. Just a joy to eat and kibbitz, enjoy the photos chronicling b'more Jewish history as well as the Attmans themselves. Love coming to this place. Their coconut cake is also yummy! Photo doesn't do it justice & we were so eager to devour our sandwiches and knish that this is all I got.
google avatar

Yelp
I absolutely love coming here. They have thee best hot Reubens. They're too good, addiction inducing good. Perfectly toasted rye bread, slightly sloppy dressing and kraut, with a thick layer of meat under it all. Decadence. And paired with a cold beer or cream soda with chips? (Chefs kiss) perfection. Also, they have some other bomb items including salads and tasty desserts.

Ira C.

Yelp
Still best corned beef and pastrami. Don't, don't forget the chopped liver. Great as a sandwich or just schmeared ( check Yiddish spelling) on the side with very thin slices of onion. It's midmorning. Got to order now for early dinner.

Yelp
Attman's probably makes the best sandwiches my wife and I have ever had. I even only ate kosher meat much of my life until recently and the meat (not certified kosher) beats anything I've had anywhere. Our best friend frequented Attman's with his family when he lived with them in Elicott City over a decade ago. During the summer of 2020 my wife and him picked up both Eileen the Queen and Lombard Street sandwiches for us and he got a corner beef sandwich for himself before they picked me up from BWI. The sandwiches stayed hot and fresh even over an hour later when we could eat them at home. I finally got to go inside with them and two other friends two weekends ago before the Orioles game. We put our sandwiches, the same as we ordered in 2020, in gallon sized ziplock bags as required by Camden Yards for bringing in food and they were equally amazing then. They even had a location in Baltimore's finest ballpark for a bit before the pandemic but I don't think it lasted long but the original location here is a quick drive. Although this is a Jewish owned Kosher Style deli all sorts of Baltimore locals lined up to the back of the store to get food. It nice to see that they continue to thrive with their history over a century old back when my Jewish great grandparents started to immigrate from Europe to America. Their Potomac location is great as well and has a larger beer selection but the quality of the food is even better at their original Corned Beef Row location. We look forward to returning in the future when we go up to Baltimore.

Yelp
Very nice, old-style New York Jewish deli just east of downtown. I had heard great things about this deli, especially since it has been at this location for so long. The first thing I noticed was that the line was long. At least 25 people in this small location. It took me about 20 minutes to get to the counter to order. I ordered the Club Chelsea on wheat and one of the Jumbo Kosher DIll Pickles. After ordering, I waited another 10 minutes or so. The staff was mostly indifferent to me. No smile. No friendly chat. Nothing but business. I'll chalk that up the how busy they were, this time. Now for the food...Excellent! My sandwich was fresh and delicious, as was the pickle. Worth the wait. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and didn't really mind the wait. However, they could be a little friendlier to their customers and the price was higher than normal. Over $20 for my club and pickle. For those reasons, I dropped to 4 stars.

Yelp
Of the few delis in this area, Attman's is the only one with a line consistently out the door. It was only a matter of time before I stopped by. The day I went, people weren't yet waiting outside but the line was already to the rear of the building. So glad I looked at a menu before coming because when it's your turn, you better be ready. The staff taking and making orders were friendly and fast. The line was only backed up because so many people were getting multiple sandwiches. I got the Billy Reuben which has all the standard ingredients but instead of beef, it's turkey. Sandwich was ready just a few minutes after I ordered and I wasn't disappointed. Piled high and yummy. Can't wait to go back just have to time it perfectly to reduce my wait.

Yelp
TLDR: NYC quality Jewish Deli with Baltimore heritage. Gets very busy, but lines move quickly. Come for anything with pastrami on it. Vibe: 4/5. Attman's is a Baltimore landmark, serving up sandwiches from the same location for over 100 years which can be seen in this time capsule deli. The neighborhood surrounding the store has dramatically changed over the years, leaving it in a less than desirable part of town, but it's well worth the pilgrimage. Silver lining to the area is that parking is mostly free and easily obtained. The old-school interior of the deli includes a counter that spans almost the entire length of the restaurant with the menu clearly laid out on the wall behind it. In the adjacent space to the left of the counter is a large dining room, complete with autographed pictures of celebrities who have patronized Attman's over the years. The ordering system is pretty simple, you stand in line at the counter until a staff member takes your order, you pay at the register near the door and then you can either dine in or take it to go. Be warned, during peak lunch hours this place gets super crowded, with sometimes a line wrapping around the block. However, the staff is efficient at what they do and can get through a long line in no time. Service: 5/5: During our visit for Sunday lunch, the entire staff at Attman's was not only welcoming, but proficient at getting us our delicious meal in a timely manner. Upon entering the deli at 1:30pm, the line had queued all the way to the back of the restaurant. To our surprise, the staff was able to move through the line in less than 10 minutes. Then once our order was taken, it only took another 10 minutes until we were chowing down. This is the kind of turn around time you come to expect from a tenured deli at lunch rush. Food: 5/5. There's a reason Attman's has been slinging sandwiches since 1915, the unrivaled portions and taste. During our visit, we decided to get the Attman's Specialty Reuben, Nosh On Rye, 2 coddies and an order of onion rings for dine in. Touted as a Baltimore favorite, the specialty Reuben was piled high with warm pastrami, sauerkraut, Russian dressing and swiss between 2 homemade potato Latke pancakes. Though delicious, it was a bit unwieldy to handle while eating. The latkes didn't add much to the already flavorful combination of pastrami, sauerkraut and dressing so it just became more of a logistical burden. The Nosh on Rye took home best in show at lunch, bringing everything I wanted from a sandwich to the table. We opted to substitute the corned beef for pastrami on our Nosh which is a highly recommended move. The sandwich is served club style with 3 pieces of rye bread, 1 piece separating the pastrami and brisket. The succulent pastrami paired perfectly with the beefiness of the brisket. Along with the piles of meat, the sandwich also comes garnished with homemade coleslaw and Swiss which added both a pleasant textural crunch and creaminess to each bite. The onion rings were also a great addition to the meal, offering a nice crunchy change in texture between sandwich bites. Unfortunately, the biggest upset of our lunch came from the coddies. Traditional Baltimore coddies are typically fried pattys of salted cod, mashed potatoes and parsley. At Attman's, it appears they are using more of a stuffing based filling (think Stovetop stuffing) with barely any cod flavor. These are unlike any coddie I have had in my lifetime and personally, they weren't for me.

Yelp
Every time I visit Attman's I always wish they were closer and ask myself why don't I visit more often? This time was no different. The trick is to get there before lunch (11,11:30). I don't order the sandwiches with all of the different toppings, interesting names, etc. although I'm sure they are really good. Just give me a hot and tasty corned beef (not the lean cause some fat equals better taste) and Pastrami sandwiches. No mustard please. These amazing house-made delicacies need nothing but the rye bread they sit on. Sandwiches are big enough for two to share. Also get some of the Corned beef and Pastrami sliced to go so the sandwich heaven experience can continue for the next few days. The servers behind the counter are mostly friendly and always going to give you their best slicing your deli selection, making your sandwich, etc. so generous tipping is encouraged. A true gem that's been around for over 100 years. Can we get one closer please?!

Yelp
Ok, this might sound odd. I was recommended Attman's from a Hopkins nurse 2 years ago while I was going through cancer treatments. Actually I had just come out from one of my tests -- a GI scan where I needed to be put under. When I woke up, we were talking food somehow. The nurse said Attman's is the best deli. It took 2 years but on the way to some lab work, we stopped in for sandwiches. The line was long. I think you can call your order in early so if in a hurry, might want to do that. We had great and BIG sandwiches. It was a 2nd meal for us the next day. I ordered a piece of cake that looked good and as always, eyes bigger than what I could tackle. So, made that part of some treat a day later. Pastrami and others. Good selection of sandwiches.

Yelp
An older establishment with a ton of history; Attmans was indeed an authentic deli experience in the city. The room to order is a bit crowded and fans come in to get their favorite sandwich but for an out of towner like myself we stood back while trying to decide what to order from their large selection. I ended up with a Turkey brisket sandwich and hubby the Reuben. Hubby said the Reuben was legit!? Indeed one of the best! My sandwich was also equally delish! Soft homemade rye bread, tender brisket and Turkey. We know why it's so famous and folks from presidents to little people like us come to eat at Attmans.

Yelp
I work with national artist when they appear in Baltimore. When artist come to town they insist on Altman's. Altmans staff members are used to big orders This is really really helpful. We get our orders in before they close and the artist are happy they have some good after show food.

Yelp
The real deal!!!! Legit NY style deli, really friendly staff, and AMAZING sandwiches. My sandwich was huuuge and so fresh and tasty. I gotta come back for their famous corned beef. They also had really good looking desserts but I didn't get any this time. If you're craving a FRESH, giant deli sandwich, this is the place to go.

Yelp
This place is absolutely wonderful! I have been supporting this business for over 20 years! Yes, 20 years! In the past I've worked nearby so I was always able to go in restaurant and scoop a sandwich or 2. Welp, on this day I was at work not too far and had to have a Corned Beef Sandwich. I located a 3rd party food delivery company and ordered my World's Famous Corned Beef Sandwich. Ahhhmazing as remembered!! My sandwich was large meaty, well stacked and warm when I received it. If you haven't already, treat yourself. You will not be disappointed.

Yelp
I've lived in Baltimore over 10 years and never visited this establishment, though I know it's a staple. I've driven past a million times and have seen super long lines (even before Covid and 6ft between people), so I figured the food was fuego. So, I finally went yesterday. When my friend and I arrived there was a line about 8 people long. We headed to the end and slowly advanced forward over the course of 20 minutes. Once we were granted entry, I took in the space. It definitely looks old in there (but clean), and a whole side of the place is a deli counter. Placing our orders was a trial, due to masks and the thick glass separating the food prep from us. Communication is a serious issue. I swear, it took me 10 minutes to complete the order. Then strangely people who came in after us had their sandwiches prepared faster and were checking out before us, it was a weird setup. Anyway, we finally get our food, and we were actually allowed to eat in the small, attached eating area since there were only 3 other people in there. We sat down to eat and I stared at my brisket sandwich and was pretty underwhelmed. It looked like something I could have made at home. Upon closer inspection, I realized it was made with wheat bread, when I asked for rye. Very disappointing. The sandwich did taste good, I won't take that away from it, but it was very basic. They charge for every topping they put on it, so you'd think it would be more impressive. We also had fries which were just ok. That said, the staff was very nice and everything was clean and orderly. I think this was a one and done for me though. I came, I saw, I ate a sandwich. The end.

Yelp
We were visiting Baltimore and were looking for a brunch place. We also love Jewish deli. I ordered corned beef hash. The corned beef was hash style but instead of having the potatoes mixed in they acted as a bed for the corned beef. It tasted great and was tasty! My wife ordered eggs Benedict w/ corned beef. She was expecting hash style corned beef but instead was sliced sandwich style. She said it was a bit bland. Our niece ordered a combo and devoured it. I tried the challah French toast. It was very yummy.

Yelp
I almost wished I reviewed this place a few years ago because my sandwich lacked the luster of yesteryear' . I have been eating here for YEARS!!!!!! And the corned beef was always tender and seasoned well! Not this time . I paid $30 for a cloak and dagger . Extra lean with Swiss ... (just so one is aware it's extra charges for lean and cheese ) , extra lean corned beef with mustard and Swiss cheese and one bag of chips . I made two meals Out of my sandwich because you get a lot for your money ! Now it's covid ready inside , it was very clean ... on the day. Went it was only 5 of us in the store so lines moved fast and it was space . I may try one more time ... We are all entitled to a bad day! The staff was fast and friendly!

Yelp
My fiancé has been raving about Attman's, saying that they have the best deli sandwiches in Baltimore. Since we were growing tired of Thanksgiving food, we took a trip to Attman's on Friday. I must admit, he may be right. I ordered the Chelsea Club with a fat juicy pickle, my son the Shrimp Salad sandwich and the fiancé got the Hot Corned Beef and Swiss. Each in every sandwich came stuffed to the max with meat, light on the lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. I was surprised at the portions they sell you for the price. Each sandwich tasted amazing. The deli meat stuffed into every sandwich was so tasty and the bread was fresh. I couldn't even finish my entire sandwich. But I was definitely happy to dig into the last two triangles later that night.
