Attraros Thai Eatery

Love Thai food and Attraros was highly recommended so finally gave it a try today. I ordered chicken skewers and the roti with curry since I needed something quick and light, figured that would be a safe choice. I got a call saying they were out of chicken skewers, they replaced it with beef. I never received any notification after that stating the order was ready so I sat outside waiting for 10 minutes. Realized I wasn’t going to hear from them about the order so decided to walk in. Went in and there were no customers, just staff behind the counter, my food had been sitting there. Staff was friendly without question. Got home and was incredibly disappointed. The roti is drenched in oil… you just get a mouthful of oil. I had just two small and way overcooked, dry beef skewers, the rest of the box was filled with salad. Extremely disappointed because this was a recommendation and is highly rated. Not sure what happened tonight but doubt I’ll be trying here again since the smallest order was horrible.

The atmosphere is quaint and pleasant. The restaurant is well designed with nice green and yellow accent and strong branding. I was quickly seated and the service across the board was great. The food is what really shines and I wish I could have gone back because there were so many things I wanted to try. They had all the standards for Thai food but then also had a diverse set of special dishes that I have seen few other places. They all sounded delicious but given I was by myself wound up going for the Khao Soi. It was a hit and a ton of food with rich flavors and tasty noodles. Really really good and came out pretty quickly. Overall a fantastic experience and I would not hesitate to go back if folks are nearby.

We booked this for my friend's birthday dinner and it was lovely! Everything was delicious and the service was great, they even brought her a dessert with a candle. Very warm staff and amazing food. The atmosphere was intimate but we had no problem booking a large party. Couldn't recommend more.

Delicious! Great service! I am so thankful that Attraros made samplers and pretty photos for us to pick. Been to Thailand several times and still don't know how to choose the most authentic Thai food from the menu. The experience dine in Attraros was fun. And it's inexpensive. Love the $12 dollars cocktail even though there's only 3 choices, but it's delicious. Might need 2 to feel tipsy. Love it!!!♥️♥️♥️

I came here with a group of 9 people on a saturday evening and we were seated immediately. We started with some happy hour cocktails and some apps and soup - the mushroom app was incredible, the tom yum soup was good. The entres were also good - I think if I came back I'd rather grab lunch instead of dinner if that makes any sense.

Came here for lunch at Noon on a Thursday. Parking was easy metered, and restaurant was half full. Wonderful service and nice decor. Very authentic Thai dishes with beautiful presentation. My favorite was the mixed appetizer plate.... Some of the bites were a party in my mouth!! The jumbo prawn pad Thai was just OK, as all the ingredients were fresh and cooked well, but the overall dish was lacking flavor, thus the 4/5 rating. I will definitely be back to try their other dishes.

Great food and great service. I paid $30 for a pad krapow and a side of steamed veggies after a $5 tip. Portion size was larger compared to other thai restaurants. Others usually charge extra for a fried egg too

It stood out as not just a drink, but an experience, making it a must-try recommendation for anyone visiting. For our mains, we chose the chicken curry rice and the fried pork belly. The chicken curry was a clear winner for me. It was a harmony of flavors, with the curry itself rich and aromatic, perfectly complementing the tender chicken. The fried broccoli served alongside was a brilliant touch, adding a delightful crunch that my girlfriend especially appreciated. On the other hand, the fried pork belly, though adequately prepared, didn’t quite capture our imaginations in the same way. We enjoyed the Hoi Jor crab and pork appetizer as our starter. We all ordered the pad Thai lunch special, which is bang for buck and tastes very authentic! I've been craving pad Thai made authentically, so this hit the spot! The lunch time vibe was full of energy and the restaurant seating and decor make the ambiance add to our enjoyment of this restaurant. Excellent service, to the point of their setting aside my leftover box that I forgot and needed to return to pick up! I highly recommend Attraros!

Really tasty and inventive. Loved the yum pla muk..think that was my fave. Choo chee was also delicious though the baseline is a bit sweet. But don't worry - I asked for a side of chilies and it was perfect! More people need to come here! It's real cute inside but atmosphere was a bit lacking since it was so empty!

The food was ok. The service was good. Even though i went a little early. The ambiance is fair. This was my first time visiting it in my neighborhood. Never tried Thai food before so for my first thai restaurant it was ok.

I was really glad to finally try Attraros tonight. It has been on my bookmarks for a while, and while I love Thai food, I wasn't in the mood for traditional dishes. The Khao Pad Nuer, Plamuk Tod Gra-tiem, Sam Chun Tod, and Som Tum Laos were all delicious.

Food is AMAZING! And the Service is OUTSTANDING. Super cute decor, family owned restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing.

Had lunch here last Monday with friends during the Oakland Restaurant Week event. They participated and had a special menu set of $45 for a 3 course meal with choice of Entree and a non-alcoholic drink. I chose the Restaurant week special and chose the grilled fish (whole fish wrapped and cooked in banana leaf) served with side salad of fresh herbs and vermicelli noodles. It was definitely a big portion enough for 2 people to share, so I took half of this home as leftovers. Appetizer for that set was a sampler piece of each their 5 Hors d'oeuvres. Dessert was Guava Granita (shaved ice with guava syrup) and I chose the Butterfly Pea lemonade. One friend ordered the Tom Yum soup (regular menu item) with a side of vermicelli noodles. Another friend ordered the weekday lunch special of the red curry ($18.50) which came with a side of rice. All of us enjoyed our meals and will be back to try their other menu items. Food tasted authentic and was made with good ingredients. Note there is a definite kick and hot spice level to the dipping sauce that came with the grilled fish.

Attraros is a very solid Thai option in downtown. I was staying at the nearby Marriott and was craving krapao for lunch. I called in a to-go order and walked back to my hotel room to enjoy. I really like that in addition to the krapao, rice, and fried egg, that they also included some cucumber and prik nam pla, which is nice and cooling when you eat something spicy. The fried egg was cooked perfectly with golden, crisp edges, and runny yolk. The krapao was good, but not as flavorful as others I've had. I also asked for it Thai spicy, but what I got was pretty mild. Overall, it was a pretty solid and enjoyable lunch. I would definitely go back to try other items from the menu, but would probably try another place for krapao next time.

Came here for a Timeleft dinner and it was such a fun time. The food was amazing. The staff was really nice and sat us at our correct tables. They were nice enough to split the bill by items. I'll definitely be back. Might be my new go to Thai place!

Came right before they closed up for a midday break (Sorry again) Still took us, sat us at a table. ( we decided to get to go) It's a cute and cozy space, well decorated (without being too much). FOOD IS GOOOD!!!! Will come back for dinner and to sit down and eat

More vegetables in curry. More seasoning. Hot and sour soup needs more substance but flavor was tasty.

The lunch special of chicken and fried rice was very blend and unflavored. I asked for a sauce and was given the bottle sriracha sauce. Will not order that again. I did order pad Thai once and it was way better. Service is always good.

My girlfriend and I went to Attraros Thai Eatery during Oakland restaurant week. For restaurant week, they had a 3 course menu for $40 pp (+ $5 surcharge on some entrees). The restaurant was empty when we got there around 7 pm, but it got busy within the next half an hour. Attraros Thai Eatery offered a mixed bag. The ambiance was pleasant, the food was decent but the service was really slow. Our food took over 30 minutes to arrive, which put a damper on the experience. Our restaurant week menu started with starter sampler, which included miang kum, sakoo sai moo, mo hor, moo salong, and toong thong. The starter sampler was a mix of sweet and savory items, and they were all pretty good. For the main courses, the hoi prik pao (scallops with chilies) was flavorful, but the roasted chili paste was surprisingly sweet. It was not what we were expecting. The Thai marinated pork chop was a bit dry. The accompanying nam jim jeaw sauce helped, but it couldn't quite salvage the dryness. The thai iced tea was a disappointment. It was watered down and lacked the robust tea flavor and creamy sweetness that one would expect. The star of the show was definitely the mango mousse cake. Luscious mango flavor with a perfect balance of sweet and tart, it was a delightful ending to the meal. Overall, Attraros has potential. The food has its moments, and the ambiance is nice. But the slow service and underwhelming drinks bring the experience down to a 3-star rating.

I enjoyed this Thai cuisine experience in downtown Oakland, CA. I visited shortly after midday during the lunch period and surprisingly the restaurant had no diners. A few more diners did begin to trickle in as I finished my meal however not considerably. The interior has a very simple decor however is very Asian modern. I also like that the restaurant has bench seating along the back wall. The staff were friendly which I appreciate. The food was delicious, fresh, and the portions are appropriate. The Pad Thai had all of the appropriate flavor profiles that you'd expect from this classic Thai dish. One thing that I observed is the restaurant takes pride in plating. The plating of their food is very thoughtful and organized. Overall a good experience and I will visit again when in the area. Food Ordered: Pad Thai Miung Kum

Such a cute place but I felt so bad that they were so empty for lunch. Go support this place! The server was so very sweet and adorable. They have lunch specials and let me tell you that I don't love green curry but their green curry veggie tofu was soooooo flavorful that I wouldn't mind eating it again. The had so many delicious sounding menu items. I need to find a group of people to come back with so I can try all the yums!

Had a wonderful meal here this week with a group of friends. Every dish was delicious, service was excellent, and the ambiance of the restaurant is very cute. We enjoyed the fried calamari, Brussels sprouts, yellow curry, pad thai, and peanut sauce. The yellow curry was probably my favorite! Pricing is decent and portion sizes are pretty good. Would definitely return!

After spending the morning at the Old Oakland Farmer's Market, we decided to have lunch at the Old Swan's Market, a place my late grandma brought us when we were kids, though it was a meat and veggie markets in the early 90s. We decided to tried Attraros Thai Eatery, which is such a hidden gem! If you love Thai food, as much as I do, then y'all got to check out them out! The food was amazing!! Prefect place for date night, birthdays or simply a delicious meal. The Starters Sampler Salads is a MUST order! Flavor bombs!! So good! It comes with (2) Miung Kum, (2) Moo Salong, (2) Ma Hor, (2) Sakoo Sai Moo! The Tom Yum Goong Nam Khon was easily our favorite Tom yum soup in the Bay! The Choo-Choo Goong and Sam Chun Tod was also our favorite dishes. The Kanom Jean Nam Ngiew is such a beautiful Northern Thai fresh noodle soup; while Pla Pao Bai Tong was so tasty, perfect for any fish lovers. Last but not least, don't forget their refreshing drinks- we got their delicious Thai Iced Coffee and Beautiful Mao Dok Mai- Sabé vodka sake, butterfly pea flower, lime & sugar! So pretty!!

We came in on a Friday night after walking by several times and being intrigued by the beautiful photos of the food. Does the food taste as good as it looks? Pretty close! As Thai people, we don't eat out at Thai restaurants much because we cook it ourselves. When we do, the bar is raised. Food: We ordered spaghetti kee mao, por tod, and sakoo sai moo. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly (al dente) and tossed with Thai spices such as green peppercorn and hot basil. It was delicious but I found myself looking for that extra Thai kick (umami and spice). The por tod was my favorite. Nice crisp, not greasy, and held the filling really well. It was addictive, and I found myself wanting more. The sakoo: the tapioca shell was a little undercooked and the mince pork filling was a little too sweet for us- but I can see others enjoying it, especially with a bite of the fresh thai chilis served. Loved to see the chef is the owner and is in the kitchen cooking our meals. Only thing I didn't enjoy: the wine list needs help. Maybe we should've gone the cocktail route but the cab we ordered was horrible. Space: Plenty of parking, just don't leave anything valuable in the car. Restaurant is cozy and clean. I just didn't like the bathroom is a journey to get to and from. We had a good time and I will definitely go back and try out other dishes.

I appreciate the artisanal spin on the dishes, but the portions were too small to justify the price (e.g pad thai for $20).

Attached to Oakland's Swan Market, Attraros is a vibrant, new eatery turning out beautiful plates of creative Thai food. My favorite dish was the Sakoo Sai Moo, an appetizer of chewy tapioca balls stuffed with a sweet, savory, umami filling of minced pork, pickled radish, and peanuts, and the balls were topped with garlic and Thai chili, making for a brilliant combination of flavors and textures. In addition, the tapioca balls came in three different colors: white (original), green (pandan), and blue (butterfly pea flower), so the presentation was a highlight too! Next, we had the Som Tum Laos, a papaya salad with green beans and tomatoes, dressed with a fermented fish sauce, and they did not hold back on the red chilies, which had a super spicy kick! The Yum-Pla Muk was a grilled octopus tentacle sliced and dressed with an herb and chili paste, served with a colorful mixed salad on the side. For our mains, the impressive-looking Kang Gae was a giant grilled lamb shank served with potatoes and onions in a creamy, spiced Massamun curry sauce, along with crispy pan-fried roti on the side; and the Choo-Chee Goong were three grilled jumbo head-on shrimp served in a more liquid red curry sauce along with spinach, tomatoes, and lychee, which added an unexpected juicy, fruity burst. The Pla Pao Bai Tong was a thin swai fillet marinaded with herbs and grilled in a banana leaf, served with a spicy seafood sauce; and the Khao Soi Haeng was a "deconstructed" Khao Soi that came with a sliced ribeye steak topped with Khao Soi curry sauce along with pickled cabbage, fried Brussels sprouts, chili crisp, and soft egg noodles on the side. While creative, the ribeye was on the chewy side, while the noodles were overcooked. My favorite main was the Kanom Jean Nam Ngiew, a take on a Northern Thai noodle soup, which came with a broth of tender, slow-cooked pork ribs and ground pork, served with bundles of blue and white rice noodles on the side, along with pickled cabbage and bean sprouts. The pork ribs were fall-apart tender, and the hearty broth went perfectly with the light rice noodles. Overall, the food here was absolutely delicious and on point. Every dish was beautifully and colorfully plated, showcasing creative takes on Thai classics. The service was friendly, the prices were reasonable, and the modern atmosphere was fun and inviting too.

Great addition to downtown Oakland! Service was great and food all tasted amazing. Went during restaurant week but ordered from the normal menu. Food was served hot as soon as it was made and waitress was very attentive. The inside of the restaurant is very cute!

Had the fried chicken over fried rice lunch special, which comes with an egg roll and salad. The salad was good, the rest of the food was just ok. I was disappointed that the chicken and rice were both bland. Truthfully it was some of the least interesting fried rice I've had in years. Would try again and get something more traditionally Thai - the spring rolls and pad Thai both looked good. Service was friendly and attentive - 5 stars. Ambiance was not busy for lunch on a weekday. No weird music, and it wasn't noisy.

Chill atmosphere, helpful staff, and yummy food! We stopped by on Saturday for lunch and were excited by the non-alcoholic drink choices. Ended up getting a Thai tea. I love that the menu items include allergy info which helps with making lunch choices. I ended up getting a gluten free pad Thai, and mango with purple sticky rice and mango mousse. The mango was fresh and ripe, the sticky rice was fragrant, warm, and a little sweet. I got a little cold and asked for hot water. The staff brought me hot water in a beautiful teapot. The attention to detail was awesome. Thank you!

Surprisingly they have pretty good Thai food. They are somewhat hidden at the corner of the building. They have the best Thai food in 30 blocks radius in Oakland.

Visited again for an early valentine's day dinner and we were impressed. Each dish is so beautifully prepared and tasty. My partner loved the slow cooked chicken yellow curry proclaiming it the best curry he's ever had. My personal favorite was the appetizer sampler which gave us the opportunity to try several unique appetizer bites

Service was great. Food was phenomenal! The flavors are so on point. Lots of really creative and different from the norm for Thai food. Will 1000% be back!

We came to the Oakland Museum and walked down to this Thai restaurant. Everything was good. The appetizers was nothing like I had before. Sweet, spicy, salty all in one. The fish was so tender. The chef came to ask as well. Kudos! It was great. Service was very pleasant. It's a medium size place, not too small. The ambiance is peaceful, with an open kitchen.

I think? I was one of the first customers here. It's kinda bougie. If you take a date here, they will probably like it. The food is good. Portions are larger than expected, which, I mean, who doesn't like that? Everything was well seasoned and in general, pretty tasty. The service was especially noteworthy. Very friendly, but also genuine. They seem glad that you came to eat this gorgeous plate of food. Finally, the straws here deserve special mention. See the pics.

Welcome to the neighborhood. The food is amazing .Even though I am familiar with Thai food but there are a lot of new items here which I never seen somewhere else. I got the Nuer Yang , which has egg noodles , ribeye steaks and the curry sauce . The steak was perfectly cooked and juicy. Will definitely be back to try other items.

My first time here, wish I'd made it sooner! The pad krapow was as good as any I've had in Thailand, and the fried egg was the perfect mix of crispy and runny. Nice atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. The menu has so many dishes you rarely see on a menu at American Thai restaurants, and had some interesting "fusion"-looking dishes. Plenty of reason to come back, and the happy hour looks worthwhile.

Discovered this new Thai place while exploring in Old Oakland and I think this is going to be a new gem in the area. We ordered the papaya salad, tapioca balls filled with meat and Roti & lamb curry. The tapioca balls and the curry dish was perfect, the meat tender, the roti flaky, and the tapioca balls was sooooo delicious. I'm excited to go back and try more dishes!

went here for the first time with a friend, then came back and brought my husband too because it was just that good! really good food, so many different types of flavors all at once! super skeptical about eating oakland bc of the location and stuff but the two times i've been here there were no issues! parking is readily available on the street. we loved it. must order the sample appetizer!!! it's amazing. service is good, the people here are nice. you just need to be patience as there's not a lot of servers so if it's busy your food might take long, but super worth it. if you're looking for a date night with your mans/woman's this is the place to go!

Hands down one of the best Thai restaurants I've been to! We ordered the Tom Yum Goong which tasted very authentic. The appetizer sampler was very worth it and was a burst of flavor in each bite, so much so we ordered another Sakoo Sai Moo. We also tried Nuer Yang which was also tasty. The service was very good and ambiance is modern yet tropical, perfect mix for a date or casual hangout!

This spot just opened up a few weeks ago. It's in the Swan depot area. It's a really cute space very authentic. The customer service was superb. She was so sweet she recommended the lamb curry which normally, my friend and I never get curry but we decided to get it since it was lamb and it was cooked to perfection. 10 out of 10 would recommend the lamb shank curry. The Thai tea was doing its thing. We ordered the tasting menu which was a really good deal and we added an extra Squid/octopus salad salad, the octopus was undercooked so very Chewy, she was open to feedback. I would be coming back soon!

TLDR: Great and unique food, service was perfect, and brand new! Found this place randomly on the day they opened (last week). The food was delicious. Had some tapioca dumplings (Sakoo Sai Moo) that were different from any dumplings I had ever had, but really good! The Krapow Gai (chicken) was awesome! Spicy and flavorful. The service was really good, with suggestions for gringos like me. Beer was a limited selection (they JUST opened that day), but I thoroughly enjoyed the Beer Lao Dark. I would totally go back.

My girlfriend and I had an impromptu lunch here we were greeted and seated by lovely ladies, you can feel the girl power in this restaurant. Omg the food was amazing. The veggie egg rolls were crisps and the sauce that you dip with them was excellent, very tasty. My friend ordered the chicken and rice dish I believe it was #1 on the lunch special and I got the Green Thai curry coconut with a tad of spice. It was mindblowing. The curry was well developed, smooth, the spice was perfect. They customized my order...as I have a few dietary restrictions and some ingredients i don't want, and they were very accommodating. My only complaint would be the lemonades. While they are fabulous and cutesy, they are $6.00 and I don't think they are refillable, they became and after thought once that soup showed up! My GG enjoyed her meal...but she wanted mine and will be ordering that soup when we come back. Also they are now open on Mondays for lunch

Great food, beautiful space and good service. We had the sampler starter and fresh rolls for appetizers. The sampler had a lot of fun yummy bites. For drinks we tried their two cocktails guava and lychee, both refreshing. For mains we had the ribeye and the lamb shank, both delicious. This is the best Thai food I can remember eating in the east bay.

We frequent this area due to work and the farmers market on Fridays. Today is our first time noticing this new Thai restaurant. Of course, we had to give it a try. It's a nice cozy little spot. Good amount of seating areas. Good/attentive service. We ordered the pad Thai. It was one of the better pad Thai dishes We've ever had. The l shrimp was fresh and the noodles were cool to the level of chewiness. We also order a chicken sauté dish. It was spicy and delicious. We also ordered the sample platter. There were some hits and misses there. The Thai ice tea was on the less sweeter side, which is our preference. Overall, do give this spot a try!

Good but everything tasted a tad bit sweet. Need to scale down the sweetness somewhat. Otherwise the taste is good.

I recently attempted to order food by phone and was treated in a very nasty condescending manner by the person on the phone she tries to lie and say it was a language barrier through her management team who instead of reaching out to me as I requested sent me a pre-constructed corporate email to insult my intelligence I responded letting them know I will never be a customer there again because clearly you don't ask people what they can do better when you don't mean it especially when you already made it clear you're on the side of your employee who lied in the first place what your business needs to realize is I don't beg anyone to spend my heart or money you won't get it if you treat people with disrespect and in an undignified way

If you're looking for food that's visually appealing and great tasting, look no further. This restaurant is a neighborhood gem. I hope they're here to stay for good. We've been here countless times and will continue to support. The owners are super nice, attentive, and accommodating. My neighbors and my kids love coming here. I've tried so many dishes and they were truly all delicious. The sakoo is one of my favorite appetizers. Very diff from all others restaurants. I highly encourage you to give this place a try. I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

Wow. Everything is absolutely bursting with flavor. I recommend the sampler starter, khao soi, and the pad Thai. Would 100% come back here.
